  1. Does anybody know if the Pod Go can be used with the PX-2g power supply? The power supply for the Pod Go has an end "wall-wart", making it hard to use on a power strip. It is also stupidly short. I used the PX-2g for my Floor Pod Plus and was wondering if I should take that out of storage to use with my Pod Go. I haven't checked the specs and was hoping somebody else had.
  2. If loading a third-party IR (impulse response) into HX Edit or POD Go Edit results in an out of memory condition, it is likely the source file is too large or contains too many samples. Open a DAW (digital audio workstation) e.g. Cubase, Logic, Reaper, Ableton, etc., or other capable audio recording/editing software, such as Audacity, and import the IR file into a new session/project. Trim the IR so that it is no more than 2,048 samples in length. Most DAWs have a ruler that you can set to beats, minutes/seconds, or samples. Set it to 'samples' in order to make the most accurate time selection. After the file has been trimmed, you're ready to export/bounce the new IR file. Use the item render/export in your DAW and follow these guidelines to ensure compatibility: 24-bit / 48k Mono (1 channel) Must be WAV file format
  3. Hi there, Im new on this Forum! I hope im acting by the Rules and Regulations here. Also be patient with me and my mistakes, as english is not my native tongue. I came here to ask some Questions before purchasing a Pod Go from Thomann. Im a pretty new Guitar Player living in Vienna City. As i want to practice without Noise i would mostly use the Pod Go with Headphones. Sometimes i would like to turn my Stereo on aswell and plug the Pod into that. I know it may not be the best sounding solution but i will only use it rarely with the Home Stereo, as i will have to be mostly silent. Equipment i already have: Sony MDR 1A TFZ King Pro FIIO F9 pro Phillips A5 Pro FIIO X5 3 Dap FIIO A5 Amp Denon X2500H Teufel Ultima 40 MK3 Homebuilt Sub (Soon if it makes sense to build one for Guitar Use) I want to have a good Sound with both. Do you Guys think it will be possible both with the Stereo and Headphones i have? Im not concerned to model a real amp 100% but i just want a good sound so i can practice. With Headphones i am really not sure if i would need something diffrent or to upgrade, as i heard not everything works good with the Pod Go. What works good for you and do you think the low resistance of my Headphones will work? Also i was wondering how to Wire the Pod Go so its connected correctly to Headphones and Stereo. What shall i do so it sounds good? Do i need more Equipment like Mixers or DI Boxes? Sorry this is new Terrain for me so i have no clue what to look for, which Adapters etc. Thanks for the Help! InSayine
  4. When recording your Pod Go do you use it as an interface and record digitally or do you send the analog outputs into another interface? I like the idea of going digital, but I don't like switching interfaces all the time. Is there a real difference in quality?
  5. I got my hands on a Line 6 POD Go and this thing rips. It uses the same Helix amp modeling technology. Although it has some limited routing and output options, I'd say for about 90% of use cases, this is the perfect piece of Helix gear.
  6. I bought the Pod Go and also purchased the Powercab 112 Plus also. I'm not able to get good tone using the two together and I'm unsure as to what the units settings should be set to in order for both units to preform at their best. I can not find a video or forum topic that provide guidance in the best connection settings when using the Pod Go and the Powercab 112 Plus together. For example: Do I need to turn the cab sim off on the Pod Go and use the Flat setting in the powercab or the cab simulation on the powercab? I can't figure out what the best settings are while using these two units together. Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Hi all I am trying to decide whether to buy Powercab 112 or 112 Plus (...or Headrush 108 or 112...). Can Pod GO control Line 6 112 Plus speaker by MIDI in the same way that Helix can? I mean - can I set Pod GO to control the Powercab Plus speakers? I understand that Line 6 POD GO has a basic MIDI over USB functionality but I cannot find a straightforward answer to this question anywhere. Thank you for your help.
  8. I intend to use a TRS 1/4" > XLR adapter cable for a balanced connection to mixer. Is Pod Go at risk if there's phantom power coming from the mixer? Or is it safer to use a DI box? Thanks in advance for any assistance with this. Cheers:-)
  9. Really digging the Pod Go so far - loving the ability to control just about every parameter from the foot switches and pedal. However, it seems that toe switch behaviour is not adjustable. Just wondering if it’s possible (now or hopefully in the future) to invert the toe switch polarity in order to turn a block OFF instead of ON when Volume is activated? It would be ideal to be able to specify this behaviour for each individual block, but even a global setting would be great. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide in regards to this. Cheers!
  10. Does it have a line out? Asking because I want to directly connect the POD Go into my Focusrite solo's line input (guitar input). Would it be the AMP OUT? Or the MAIN OUT?
  11. Hi! I am an amateur guitarist in search for a good modelling processor. After some reading, I have boiled down my options to two Line 6 products: the HX Stomp and the Pod Go. They are in the same price neighbourhood and seem really nice. What should I go for? My criteria are: 1) Good build quality and reliability. 2) Good tones (duh), but as far as I understand the two devices are identical from this perspective. 3) Good headphone listening quality (I want to practice when I am away from home). 4) Good interface. Thanks! Filippo

    Pod Go Amp Out

In the Pod Go manual and online support it says that the AMP OUT "echoes the MAIN OUT". However nowhere does it mention (including on the back plate of the PodGo) if this means the AMP OUT output can be balanced (TRS) or unbalanced (TS) in the same way as MAIN OUT. Does anyone know if a balanced as well as unbalanced output is possible through AMP OUT? Thanks!
  13. Hi everyone one, i can turn on /off effects in snapshot mode, but no the changes in the value of effect (drive or mix), any solution? Thanks!
  14. Is anyone else having an error when clicking the link to download Pod Go Edit? I cannot access the one listed in the Downloads section - https://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=9622. I have tried on two separate Macbooks and am redirected to a site that says "We're sorry. We encountered an error processing your request."
  15. My sound system is mono. In my signal chain, I still want my delay and reverb to be post amp and cab. If I use the mono output (L), will my delay and reverb automatically collapse into mono or am I only get half the signal on those post amp effects? Alternatively, I could add a compressor to the end of the signal chain but I don't always want to use up an effect block just to get a mono signal. Any recommendations?
  16. Can I connect the Pod Go to a normal HiFi amplifier? Maybe through the headphone output? I would like to integrate the Pod Go into the existing hardware in the living room. Thanks.
  17. Hello to you all. Hope you all are doing great in there very strange times we live in right now. My question relates to the new Pod Go and maybe members of the Helix family as well. We are just collecting information at this point, The Guitar player in our band will be using both an electric and an acoustic guitar during our gigs. The acoustic will have internal piezo pickpus. I guess this scenario is quite common. The plan is for the guitar player to be able to embed guitar management logic into the device he will be using .... To make an example with Pod Go ... Both the Electric and Acoustic guitars are connected to the Pod Go at all times Only one of these guitar is active at any given time. Preset X on the Pod Go will open up for the Electric Guitar to pass through the Pod, and close out the Acoustic Preset Y on the Pod Go will open up for the Acoustic Guitar to pass through the Pod, and close out the Electric As for the Pod Go... I guess we will have to use the Guitar input for the Electric Guitar, and the Effect Loop Return for the Acoustic guitar. For the Electric guitar .... I guess everything is fine But for the Acoustic .... Do we need to do anything to prep the signal from the Acoustic before it enters the Effect Loop Return Jack .... (the acoustic is a mono source, and is expecting a hi-z input) We are aware that the Effect Loop Return can be set to instrument level. Hope someone here has some clever ideas Additional information: We plan to use the Amp Out port on the Pod Go to feed a voice processor that accepts the Guitar signal to manage and guide additional Harmonic voices generated in the Voice processor. The Guitar management feature then becomes important, as no cables needs to be dis/re connected to get the Voice harmony function to work. Kind regards Nils
  18. The FX Loop and Preset EQ blocks are automatically assigned to stomp switches, and adding any additional effects automatically assigns them to the remaining stomp switches. Is it possible to not dedicate 2 of the switches to the FX and EQ functions and instead use those switches for other blocks?
  19. NEW pod (go) Why is it a pod-helix - not a Helixpod?!
