    In Flames

Hey everyone, just bought myself a POD HD PRO today and have been looking to make my own in flames tone. I am unfamiliar with the different amp names in POD HD Pro EDIT. So help would be much appreciated. Also if anyone has some that are already created i would love to hear a few and or trade info to get the details behind the sound. Cheers
  2. This is my setup and i've been thinking about getting a 4 by 12 cabinet speaker but i have no idea what kind of cabinet speaker to buy. I mainly play metal and old metalcore like As I Lay Dying and All That Remains. Any suggestions on what kind of cabinet speaker i should buy? Here is a picture of my setup
  3. My guitarist and I have recently switched amps to the Pod HD Pro, and he uses his old 6505+ to power his Pod, while I invested in a cheap solid state power amp (Crown XLS1000) to power mine. Although I don't mind my tone, I do like how his sounds more powerful and is easier to power live. We recently played at a bar that had no home monitors and I had to max my power amp to barely get loud enough to be heard. We play out of Vader and Mesa cabs, and our genre is more on the Death Metal side than anything else. I've decided to invest in a cheap tube head to power my pod while I save up for a 6505+, and a used Peavey Valveking (100w) and Crate Blue Voodoo (120w) came to mind, since they are both tube amps that I can run through the effects return and buy for around 300 USD, maybe less. My question is, has anyone tried powering their pod with either amp? It seems like it may be a decent temporary fix to my problem. That way we can at least be close tone and power-wise.
  4. PLEASE HELP!! everything was right before i connect a Digitech footswitch (Control 2) to my Pod HD Pro !!!! now it doesn't work and when i turn it on, nothing happen. i'v tried to connect via USB but it seems dead  is there any trick to start it again? :(
  5. I own the GearBox Gold Tone Port and have PodFarm Platinum I am thinking of buying the Pod HD Pro and I am wondering if all that PodFarm Platinum has will be on the Pod HD Pro once I hook it up to my computer?
  6. Ok so a lot of people may be going "derp what an idiot" but i am really clueless with this right now! (bare in mind i use the POD HD PRO rack unit and don't have a pedal board/controller) Does anybody here know how to get cubase 5 to midi control the POD HD PRO tone channels so when I hit play on Cubase it automates the guitar tones to change on the POD HD PRO unit e.g....(Bar 1 - 17 clean tone) then when it hits bar 17 the tone changes to "overdrive" for example. I assume that it's done using a midi channel on cubase and using the key editor to punch it in but i'm pretty lost with it, so any information would be great! (step by step process and equipment needed would be ideal) CHEEERS!
  7. Hi, I need some help connecting up the Line 6 POD HD PRO to the Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro and GCX switching system. I have the GCP running off phantom power from the GCX and the midi is connected like, GCP -> GCX -> POD Pro -> GCP The problem I have is that separately all modules work fine. I can use the GCP to control the HD Pro and I can use the GCP to control the GCX as per the user's manual. However when I connect everything up into a full rig the GCP and the HD Pro go haywire. The GCX active LED shows that there is continuous midi data being sent through it. normally on a program change the active LED will flash for a second then remain lit. The GCP Display starts to flash random characters and the button LED's all flash randomly. The POD Pro LED Display also starts switching between random presets. Turning everything off returns all modules to normal operation. I have tried changing midi channels for all modules and resetting everything to factory defaults. I have also tried the factory preset for Line 6 gear that is pre installed on Voodoo Lab gear. Any Help is greatly appreciated. I can probably link video if requested. Cheers, KS
  8. I bought a POD HD PRO just over a week ago, and have been using it without any problems until today, whilst playing through it. The screen dimmed slightly, before turning off completely. I have since tried different power cables, different sockets, different rooms, but it's still lifeless. I'm going on tour in a week and was planning on using this as part of my rig so I'm in a bit of a bad situation here. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  9. I just got a Pod Hd pro and noticed it had a "Line input" on the back. I know with traditional reamping you have to use a reamp box between the interface and the amp (to turn the signal coming out of the interface into the same signal a guitar would have), then mic the cabinet etc... With the Pod can I run straight from my interface (Digi 002 rack) output with a dry guitar track into the Line input on the Pod and achieve that same thing (either running it to an amp/cabinet and mic that or running direct out back into the interface)? I do not want to try it until I know for sure, since with a tube amp I know it could blow the amp without a reamp box. Thanks guys! -Alex
