  1. Hi, I'm wondering what customtones works with my Pod HD? Can I i.e download and use podxt's and Pod 2.0's customtones to my Pod HD? Or are the only customtones I can download and use with my Pod HD the customtones uploaded under the section Pod HD on line6's webbsite?
  2. Can anyone tell me if the Line 6 PODXT Gig Bag (Heavy Duty Padded Bag) will fit the POD HD Bean ( Black one)? some people say its too small
Gracias!
  4. Has anyone fixed this bug yet and I am not aware of it? It is 2013 already and this still doesnt work. Ok sol I enter looper mode from the pod, I press A to record on the mkII express, try to press again to dub in....oh no it doesnt let me. So I press play and now the dub in function works, but I cant get out of it, unless I stop but oh wait now i can't play it again so I am force to start a new one, unless i sarted the whole thing in 1/2 mode..now it actually lets me stop AND play it back again so I can add more dubs, stop it again and do the whole thing again for the acclaimed unlimited dubs.....what if I want to toggle full speed for some crazy up an octave double speed effect? no, no can do, unless I toggle reverse then it will let me toggle 1/2 and full speed freely but I can't switch out of reverse... by now I am better off using the PODs buttons....
  5. Hello! I'm a guitarist and bassist. I'm interested in buying the new Pod HD Pro X. I wonder if it will provide a bass expansion for HD? Thanks, Cheers
  6. I have a POD HD Pro. I have installed the drivers via Monkey and am connected via USB to my Mac. What are the steps for inserting it into a track? Do I create software instrument track or audio track or what? I know how to use a stereo out from there to the board and record that - I thought I saw that you can use USB to record and pick you tone from a popup? So, just looking for step wise instructions. I cannot find my POD HD in the track info... Thanks in advance! Greg
  7. edit: no one replied so I'd rather change the message so no one stumbles upon this thread looking for an answer to a similar problem. thanks for the help line 6 forums
  8. I have 5 banks filled with patches which used to work perfectly fine. Now all four patches of the first bank work fine, but when I change bank, like to the second one, there is no sound from any patch, even in the third bank, only the third patch of the 3rd bank has sound, and only the second and third patches of the the fourth bank has sound, this is a really weird problem, I have never faced this before. But when I connect the unit through POD HD Edit software and double press any patch from any bank, there is perfect sound. I have tried reinstalling firmware, but nothing has helped. Please help?
  9. Hi, My POD HD500 is great! The sound is good, and everything seems to be working well, except for the expression pedal. It's really not TOO big of a problem, more of a nuisance. When the pedal (whether a whammy, or wah, or whatever) is up it's fine, but when I push the top down to get a full whammy effect, it wont stay at the +24.0 unless I push down. For instance if I lift my foot off the pedal and leave it pressed down, the octave will drop to like +23.4 or +23.5. So the only way I can get the +24.0 octave sound is if I leave my foot pressed down on the pedal. You don't really notice it with the wah, but with the whammy it sounds pretty bad. Is there anyway to fix this problem? Thank you, Marty
  10. Hello! So... the Pod HD500 just got upgraded :) and I was wondering if you guys know if there's gonna be an upgrade for the M13 Or do you think Line 6 has forgot about the stompbox modelers? :(
  11. Hey guys, I thought I'd make this a separate post so that it's easier to find for anyone who might be having some issues. The patches for the HD500 do not import directly into the HD500X Edit software at this time. They use different file formats. There is a work-around that I posted earlier, and is being passed around now. All you have to do is change the extension on the patch files: For individual patches, change the extension from .h5e to .5xe For bundles, change the file extension from .h5b to .5xb For setlists, change the file extension from .h5s to .5xs I have found no inconsistencies among the patches from the HD500 Edit to the HD500X Edit using this method. I don't know if/when Line 6 will update the software to allow backwards compatibility, but in the mean time, you can use this method to get your 500 patches to your 500X. UPDATE: Someone else mentioned that you can drag-and-drop individual HD500 files into the tone slots in the 500X Edit software. I can confirm that this works. You will still need to change the file names for set-lists and bundles, though.
  12. Will we be seeing a new rack unit, or is the 500X now exactly the same as the HD Pro just with built in floor control? If someone from Line 6 could tell me whether the HD Pro is powerful enough to match all the new features and DSP power specs of the 500X (albeit with firmware upgrades etc)? Or does the 500X surpass the HD Pro's capabilities? Cheers,
  14. Hi, I'm quite new to Line 6 POD gear and recording in general, and having a bit of a problem. I'm running my POD into a Tascam DP24, im using both outputs into the DP24? And the problem im having is that when i listen to my guitar through the headphone out of my POD it sounds great, but as soon as i record onto the Tascam it sounds very muddy, messy and slightly buzzy here and there, from either my monitors or headphones. And while that may seem like its the Tascam fault, when i record direct into the tascam using its built in amp simulator,it sounds obviously poorer in terms of realism, but it does sound some what clearer and a lot more defined than when i record with the POD. I understand that people might not no much about the Tascam, but just wondered if anyone might know if theirs anything i'm doing wrong with the POD. Any help will be much appreciated.

  16. Hi, I'm trying to convert older version of custom tones from GearBox and in the amp section of the tone which I'm trying to convert, it says "1953 Small Tweed" but the amp is not available in Pod HD Desktop. So do you know which amp is 1953 Small Tweed in POD HD Desktop?
  17. Hi, how can you understand which amp's tone is hard or soft with looking their names?
  18. Hello everyone! This is the new thread dedicated to bass presets for Pod HD series. The original thread was located in the community "Long forgotten bass players", but I think it will be better here. I hope that this thread will become a place to share experiences, knowledge, and above all, our presets for bass! To start the discussion, here's my Bass Setlist for HD500 with 20 patches: HD500 Setlist V3 - "High Output Bass Amps" (16-Jan-2013) http://www.mediafire.com/?h4yta8468nawfzt How to convert Setlists: If you have a different Pod HD, you can use this tool: http://www.jzab.de/content/pod-hd All this presets are set on a "single arm chain": What you get with this Setlist is a high volume of output using a Bass, forget the messes that involved the dual input configuration, and make the pod HD works in a very similar way to how the Bass Pod worked (regarding to mono wet and dry outputs). But here you have the advantage of being able to play your bass in true stereo, too. Now you can have a balanced sound between the bass and guitar, and record comfortably in your sequencer. I left the presets configured as inputs Guitar:Same, but please, I do not want to contribute to this confusion. Using this new configuration (let's call it "single arm chain"), the input 2 has absolutely no effect on the sound (when using the config 1 mentioned below) If you want to record two mono tracks (wet and dry, panned all the way L/R), then it makes sense to use the second input as "same" (when using the config 2 mentioned below). Unmuting the Channel 2 you actually obtain a completely dry signal from your instrument. Of course you can also use a combination of both if you want to use another instrument on channel 2. But most important is to understand that in this way we have two inputs completely separated from each other without causing strange effects in the other, or interfere in any way. As I said before, for me this has been a great discovery. Thank you very much to Meambobbo. This is the structure for v3 patches: 1- Noise Gate. I'm currently using noise gates, until I learn how to use the hard gates. I'm a little slow! More details here: http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/ampTone#noiseGates 2- Tube comp. Almost same settings than before. 3- Classic Distortion. Still here, for now. You could also use a wah pedal or whatever else here, if you prefer. 4- Analog Chorus. I removed the ugly delay in front of the amp, and now I have a chorus. I like this effect for bass, and I think this is the best sounding of the three possible. The Dimension and Triple chorus does not sound bad, but have far fewer parameters and are therefore less controllable. In contrast, analog chorus has many controls, a vibrato mode, a tone control, etc. For now I used a basic setting, but it sounds pretty good with the reverb. 5- Studio EQ. Still here, for now. I'm not using it much now, because I have found that it can be a specific setting for each bass you use. Maybe try a parametric EQ, but it seems much more complicated for me: http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/eq 6- Mid Focus EQ. Hi and Low pass filters, now with settings 5%-65%. Gain between 0-30% 7- Spring Reverb. I used a reverb that is noticeable, but not annoying. Sounds great alongside the chorus. At least I like to use them together to have a good time. Note that when using chorus+reverb, overall volume will also rise up! I have had this in mind, so that the volume is not excessive when active. Still, if you play too hard, this could produce clip, so look first at gain settings I put into the Mid EQ. 8- FX loop. I´m using a Boss RC-300 loopstation here. About the Inputs and Mixer settings using the config above (single arm chain): Config 1: Just to play (Stereo) Input 1 - Guitar Input 2 - (Doesn´t matter, since PathB is muted.). Mixer - PathA +12 dB center, PathB Muted (panned 100%R just for convenience when using config2) Config 2: Recording (2 mono channels, Left Wet (processed), Right Dry (unprocessed, or DI) Input 2 - Guitar Input 2 - Same Mixer- PathA +12dB 100% Left, PathB +12dB 100% Right So you can: Record a stereo track selecting the stereo input, and then split the track on two separate mono tracks on your DAW. OR, arm two mono tracks on your secuencer selecting each separate mono input, and record both at the same time. Personally I like best the second approach, becouse I´m using Logic Pro, maybe in your secuencer there is an easier or practical way to do the first one.
