  1. Hello, Tuner on the unit doesn't work anymore on Guitar In (I can go to tuner view but no line appear when trying to tune), seems ok when using Variax input. I tried to reinstall firmware but it didn't change anything. I don't understand what I'm missing, some ideas? EDIT: problem solved: on the unit, Input1 was set on Variax, just had to switch to Guitar and it's ok.
  2. Please tell me if there's wireless Variax cable transceiver to connect my JTV-59 and HD500X. If that's not happening, how far can I go with a ethercon Cat5E or 6 ? Thx, Mik
  3. Ok so I am considering purchasing the POD HD500X because I am looking for a multi-effects processor with many different options and the ability to have many different presets. But what I want to do is run the effects from the POD but still have my particular amplifiers tone. Now I have a Bugera 333xl head with a B-52 4x12 cab, and I want to keep that tone and only use the POD for the effects. I have seen and read about the 4 cable method and I have the ability to do that with my effects loop, but when I go onstage I usually have to setup quickly, so I was wondering if it's still possible to just plug the guitar into the POD and have the other cable go straight to the front of my Bugera head and use no amp tones (from the POD) and only the effects but I can't seem to find a straight answer out there. I am looking forward to your responses and thanks in advance for the help.

    Pod Hd500x

Hola, I just got my POD HD500X from Musician's Friend today. Does anyone have any tips, advice or anything of that nature? For a little insight - At home, I'll be running it through 2x12 Spider combo amp or one of my PCs; musically, anything goes. For practice/gigs, I use a Blackstar Stage 100 and Mesa 4x12. We're death metal with old-school & thrash influences. Any feedback is appreciated. Cheers. Ryan
  5. I've been looking around at the line 6 pod HD500x and the DT25. I really like the idea of going totally wireless so I was wondering if you could use a Relay G series unit in the place of a Line 6 link cable. Is this even possible? [this is my first post, so go easy on me] :) Ben

    Wet Dry Rig

Hy guys, and happy 2014! I am stuck into the quest of my graal tone in the wet dry rig thing... What i am trying to do is sending a line to my real amp and cab (with compressor, distortion no amp Maybe a slapback delay) doing my dry sound, and a separate line to my L3t with amp simulation and modulation effects, making my wet sound. I have tried with an fx loop block mix to 0 but this way i send a distorted sound to my L3t and i don't want it. I have tried with a dual path but i cannot have two separate outs... They always sum... Help needed!!!
  7. So I have a line 6 pod HD500X and I have a Line 6 Spider 3 75 Watt amp. How do I connect my amp to the pod to use the Pods sounds and effects through my amp?? Where exactly do I plug the amp cords in etc?! Posted a few pics of my setup. Please no rude comments.

  10. Hello all! We just posted a new video for the JTV89F and POD HD500X on the GearTunes site and you're invited to come on by - it's up on both of the following pages via the red "Video" tab. The HD500X page also includes a "Presets" tab where you can download a zip of the sounds used in the video... http://geartunes.com/gear/guitars/jtv89f/ http://geartunes.com/gear/multi-effects/pod-hd500x/ Cheers ~ Doug;)
  11. I recently upgraded to the POD HD500x from the HD500 and uploaded my old tones from the 500 to the 500x by changing the .extension. It worked great except I've noticed that my tone sounds thinner and brighter on the HD500x. Also, it seems like the output volume is quieter while using headphones than it was on the 500. Any Ideas?
  12. I got my HD500x today, but I've been trying to download the edit software for the past week... And it will not download. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is there a way around it? Oh and I have a mac.
  13. Hi This is my first post on this forum, so I hope I am posting in the right place. I recently purchased the Pod HD500x. I used to play on the Boss GT-10 to a Fender HRD, and on other occasions to some other tube amps through pedals. My issue is this: My POD HD500X seems to have a transient spike issue. What i mean by that is, when I play a note, the initial sound (including, but not restricted to, the pick attack) sounds much louder (though not distorting) than the remaining part of the note. I have tried to vary my picking style, but even a softly picked note produces a spike. I noticed this even when I listen to the dry signal with no amps or effects (on a much smaller scale, of course). I have tried it both with high output humbuckers and low output single coils. The initial spike is still there. I've noticed that It is more pronounced on the higher frets. The only way around this for me right now, is to crank the gain/drive up on the amp sims. I am running direct to the PA when using the POD. Does anyone who has used the 500 or the 500x have this issue? Please help, as I want to return this if it is a problem with the A/D converter. Thank You coolwhip
