  1. Hi i have the following Gear (1 POD XT PRO, 1 POD XT BASS PRO, 1 POD 2 PRO) i want to daisy chain them using their AES/EBU connectors to the AES/EBU input of my sound card (MOTU traveler).so i don't have any loss signal, and can guarantee a 100 % digital signal to my DAW, with no noise coloration of any POD but the one i m playing. For the cable connection, i start from the POD 2 AES/EBU as it only has output, no input, then go to the pod XT Bass, POD XT, and to the input of my sound card. All my gears are sync in 44,1 HZ, i got it right no problem here My issue is to bypass (no sound colorario, eq, volume...) of the pods which are after the one my instrument is plugged. For instance If i plug my guitar in the pod 2 Pro i put AES/EBU left as an input (with dry signal) on the POD XT PRO and put AES/EBU left on the POD XT BASS PRO but this last don't allow to select dry signal and it coloured (compressor work, volume...) the main sound (POD 2 PRO). Hope you get my point, and could help me in achieving the 100 % digital configuration i m after with no noise coloration from POD which are after the one i m playing. Thanks in advance.
  2. For the past year or two I have been unable to set up my Line 6 POD XT Pro to record properly into Reaper. I had to have a friend round to have a poke around for me with hopes that he may be able to fix it so this is said friend typing on my behalf! Presently, I am able to record but playback is very crackly. My setup is a little unconventional. I have an audio out port from my PC going to one of the Aux in's on my stereo system, to which my standard hi-fi speakers are connected. The POD XT Pro is connected to the PC via the usual firewire cable. However, I have to have a cable running from the Phones jack to the other Aux in port on my stereo system, so I have to toggle between the two Aux inputs depending on whether I want to hear sound from my PC (including audio playback from Reaper) or sound from my Line 6. Bit of a nuisance as it means I can't really jam along to YouTube videos or mp3s or whatever. I know this setup is weird but it's all I have. To attempt to solve the crackling problem I went to Preferences in Reaper and saw that the current Audio system setting in Audio > Device is "WASAPI (Windows 7/8/Vista)" My friend said that the norm is to have whatever ASIO device is available, so we tried this, and there are 2 sub-options of ASIO Driver, these being ASIO PODxt Pro or ASIO4ALL v2. Using ASIO PODxt Pro resulted in horrible noise when both recording and playback (earlier on trying it there was no sound at all). Using ASIO4ALL v2 resulted in smooth playback of existing recorded sounds but would not record anything. I presume the fact it says 'Not Connected' in the inputs section has something to do with it but there are no other options for some reason and the ASIO Configuration dialogue didn't give us any answers. I have made sure that the Aux input channel is on the right one every time with respect to whether I'm recording or playing back, so I presume the noise or recording issues are nothing to do with that but may make things more complicated. So can anyone advise how to eliminate the playback crackling when using WASAPI / ASIO PODxt Pro and/or how to get recording to work when using ASIO4ALL? System basic specs: Windows 7 Processor: IntelĀ® Core i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz 3.07 GHz Installed memory (RAM): 3.00GB System type: 64-bit OS Unfortunately I'm not especially computer literate so if anyone can help but explain things in layman's terms as much as possible that'd be great!
  3. Hello people! I want to buy a POD Rack, and i'am between the POD X3 PRO Rack and the POD XT PRO Rack In short terms, i want to know if is it true that the POD X3 PRO Rack has the same things (amps, stompbox, etc) that the POD XT PRO Rack has but with even more things. For be clear, it is a POD XT PRO but with more things in hardware and software?. Thanks! and i wait for your answer.
  4. Hey guys, just bought an XT Pro of craigslist. However I am having trouble getting started. I believe the unit is not reading my guitar signal. The signal light never lights up. I know that with my HD Pro there are various settings and switches that needs to be changed in order for a good guitar sound to come through. Just wondering if there are some hidden settings or something that I should make sure are working. Hoping that the unit isn't busted in any way. I have gearbox running, the software and the unit are communicating as well. If thats important. Thanks!
  5. Hi folks, I'm looking for Flash memory for my POD XT pro but Line 6 don't have it on their site anymore and the POD XT bean version isn't comparable with the Pro. I've been an POD XT bean user since 2004. It took me all of 4 minutes to find my perfect live tone from my old XT with flash memory 1.05 and I've used it ever since. I wanted the rack version of the XT for convenience but it's useless if I can't get my tone out of it and the newer versions of the amps and cabs don't sound anywhere near as good and are far too fizzy. I'm making an official request to line 6 to personally provide me with this flash memory for my product as I have been a good customer and I don't think it's a particularly difficult request. I assume there must be an archive somewhere with all the versions that can be dug up for situations such as this. Thanks!
  6. Hi Guys, I currently use a Pod XT Pro at home in the rack and I've just bought a second unit which I will use live. If I setup all of my presets at home in the studio on my first Pod, is there an easy way of replicating everything on to the second one? Also, will there be licensing issues over multiple Pods when it comes to purchased packs etc. I have a flight case for my Marshall 6101 which has a 2U rack built in, perfect for the Pod. I plan on using the Pod though the FX Loop on the Marshall with the Marshall set to the clean channel when I want to use some of the Pod presets, and then when I want pure Marshall valve tone, set the Pod to a clean preset and then shift the Marshall over to either of the Crunch/Lead channels. Is there anything I need to do differently on the Pod when going through the FX loop on the amp? I read somewhere about stacking preamps....... Any help greatly received!
  7. Hi guys, I've just got my second Pod XT Pro rack unit and I'm having an issue with it. You know when you're in a preset and you turn one of the knobs (drive, treble etc) the screen changes to reflect the change by showing you graphics of the knobs and then reverts back to the display showing the title of the preset? Well mine sometimes flicks between these two pages when I'm not doing anything or touching anything. I think the culprit might be the Drive pot because sometimes I can see the graphical representation of this pot moving on its own and I'm nowhere near it! Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do to rectify it? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hello all! I recently purchased an old original Pod Pro Rack on Craigslist. I bought it to record with and am having issues getting other tones loaded onto it. The other guitarist in my band uses a Pod XT Pro rack to record with and I am wondering if it's possible to get his tones onto my incredibly old rack? We had to read the respective manuals for our units and tried to send his tones to my rack via MIDI cable. We sent his patches but we couldn't tell if they made it to my rack or not. If it did work I have know idea how to access the tones he sent. It seems that just the stock presets from my unit are all there is. My screen said "9 D" at the time we sent the patches. Is that what the tones would be under? Am I doing anything wrong or are our two Pods incompatible due to their age difference? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  9. Hi! I just got a used POD XT Pro and I am looking to get a floorboard for it for live use. I was just curious if it was possible for the two outputs [XLR and PL] of the POD XT Pro can have separate cab/mic settings. I am asking this because given the gigging situation in the Philippines, it may be a good thing to have a cab-sim'd signal out to the PA board and a non-cabsim'd [but amp-modeled] out going to the house guitar amp's FX return. Using this system, I would route the non-cab'd sim to the PL outs, while the XLR outs would be cab-sim'd and be routed to the PA. Is it possible on the POD XT Pro, or even the POD XT Live? If not, is this feature possible on the newer HD series? Thanks!
  10. If I own a Pod XT Pro with some of the model packs (namely MS, CC, and FX Junkie), if I were to buy Pod Farm 2.5 NON-Platinum (just the regular), will those models be available to me? I'm mainly interested in the MS pack, but I'm also interested in not paying twice for one product.
  11. Hello all, im looking for a pod xt pro at a decent price, anybody got one to sell? -Matt Page- zepplin490@gmail.com
  12. Is it possible to use previously purchased add on amp packs with POD HD 500X and is there any point in using them?
