  1. Just wondering if this would be possible to run a bass, through a podhd 500x, line6 linked to a stagesource L2t. Appreciate any advice, thanks.
  2. I'm a singer and guitar player; I've been using Line 6 POD since 2004, I also have a variax 500, and I love it sound and signal flexibility but it's not so flexible in hadrwere desing, like all multi-FX in market: I like to press the switch of my pod with my left foot and use the expresion pedal with my right foot but I can't do that because it is merge together, so I have to put my pod in the right or left side of my microphone stand. If you desing a modular pod, with a separate expresion pedal I'll be able to: Left the expresion pedal at home, if I don't need it. The pod will be more handable and more easy to carry and find a case. The HD 500 it's very large. Put my pod on desk and put the expresion pedal on the floor. Set a better disposition of POD on stage. I usually perform my music in little stages
  3. Hi everyone, I need your urgent help before I run crazy. I own two MACs (Book Pro and iMac). I used to link before my PODxt live to it without problems, but now I've updated the Monkey program and it does´t want to recognise my PODxt live. I've updated more than 10 times the drivers but the list simply doesn't include an XT live model. The strangest thing is that the Line 6 Edit and Gearbox can automatically identify the pedal board, but the Monkey don't. I've read through previous posts like unblocking the firewall, uninstalling and jumping to previous versions and whatsoever but I simply cannot get this crazy monkey to show me up a PDxt live on that list or recognise it. I really would appreciate anyones (or Line s's) support. A thankful customer will be waiting desperately. JP
  4. I hope this is the right section. I have a little issue with my drivr for the pod studio gx. When i try to install it it is stuck abut half way to the end. I've also left it over night and it did not move. I don't know what else to do. I have a win xp machine. It wont move after this.
  5. I use Gearbox 3.72 to practice in home. In this version there is a preset/tone called 'Lux Verb Chorus. In my current equipment to play live (Zoom 3000) I can not reproduce the simulations and the effects of this preset. I'm thinking of changing this Zoom by a POD HD. Is there any way to transfer this preset for the POD HD? Or, is there any preset in POD HD that is equal to 'Lux Verb Chorus? Thank You!
  6. Am a session musician and although I play lots of instruments I play bass most of the time, I have one of the new James Tyler variax guitars and I must say its a vast improvement and is one of my must have guitars I take it everywhere. I personally would love you to do a new version of the variax bass to have one in my arsenal would make my life a lot more easy, Would love to hear all of your thoughts on the idea and what it must have for example sounds and the desine of the bass ?
  7. Français Deutsch The Line 6 Guitar Amp within Reason can only handle single tone presets, there is no way to load a POD Farm 2 Dual Tone preset into a single Line 6 Guitar Amp device. However, if you were to split the Dual tones and save each tone as its own individual preset, you can load each preset into it's own Line 6 Guitar Amp within Reason and put then together using a Combinator device with mixer. Just select a Dual Tone you would like to use within the Standalone version of POD Farm 2 and click the 'DUAL' button to the right of the preset name at the top of the window and select 'Remove TONE B' first, then, select FILE>SAVE AS... to save the new single preset with 'Tone A' added at the end of the preset name. Next, reload the original Dual Tone, click the 'DUAL' button once again and select 'Remove TONE A', then select FILE>SAVE AS... to save this single tone preset with 'Tone B' added at the end of the preset name. Now, within Reason, you can create a Combinator, then a Mixer, and 2 Line 6 Guitar Amp devices, each with one of these new presets loaded into the device (Tone A in one, Tone B in the other), and summed together again with another mixer.

  9. Anyone have an update on whether there is anything planned for Ipad or tablet? I don't know how Line 6 feels but the abilty to run on a tablet from a mic stand is something I have waited for since purchasing the POD. A alaptop is just too bulky for a gig.
  10. Hey, I really REALLY like the Line 6 POD Pro X, because it's unbelievably affordable and sounds great. But, I don't like the Line 6 controllers very much. Can I hook up a normal midi controller to it? Also, how many other midi devices can I control at the same time? On an unrelated note, I play 8 and 10 stringed guitars, and will this be able to handle that kind of low end? Does the chromatic tuner work that well? Thanks!
  11. Hi Sorry if my english is not very good, I'm Indonesian I have a problem with line6 POD Studio GX The output from the line out/headphones is mono, i can't make it stereo. Pan pot doesnt change the output sound panning. Here are some things that i've done to fix the problem (but not work) Reinstall the software Change the headphone/line out jack till 6 times Updating to the latest driver/software/monkey etc Installing it on different computer Installing on different OS (Windows XP/Windows 7) Setting the line6 audio/midi setting None of the above is work. Usually i can fix some problem like this, I've been using many line6 product since 2003, and i'm working as line6 endorser for PT. Citra Intirama in Indonesia since 2005. So usually i can fix small problem like this. But this one is different, i thing i got a defective unit. Please help. Maybe i miss something. Thanks
  12. Was wondering if you can use 2 interfaces on the same computer ( but not at the same time) I'm thinking of buying the POD HD Desktop, but it doesnt have the 2 inputs like my UX-1 has for my Keyboards So even if I add the POD HD and disconnect it I want to be able to connect the UX-1 and add keys in my recordings. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob
  13. Hi, I've heard on the internet that Pocket Pods can get damaged or break if they don't get the correct charger. Does it need to be Line6 official? Or just the correct voltage? I've seen this 9V charger on Amazon and it looks like it'll do the job: http://amzn.to/16Tl6Bt Will this be OK to use? Just want to make sure.
  14. I use my Bass Pod XT live as a guitar preamp by the DI output for my EMU 1212m, it works just fine. But I also want to use the same Bass POD XT as a MIDI controller. But as soon as I plug in the USB into the Bass POD XT, the DI output turns into model output. I know it works like that with the headphone but hre there's just no way there's a common wiring between the USB and the DI output. Any way I set the thing within the control panel, it only affects the sound for (and of) the computer, not the outputs. a.) is this normal? b.) If so, why? There's no reason why USB should affect the outputs. It doesn't turn the bass pod xt into a stereo soundcard or anything. c.) Is there any way I can get the unprocessed sound through the DI output while using the pod as a MIDI controller without unplugging the POD from the USB (so neither Bypass nor a 5-pole MIDI cable is a solution)? Thanks in advance.
  15. Hi, For practice and experimenting with various tones I use a guitars via my Line 6 UX2 into my laptop and then into POD Farm 2.5 Platinum. I can also export my patches into my DAW, which is Reason 7, and use the Line 6 guitar and bass amps in that software. Now, I was thinking it would be cool if I could uses a small POD product (like POD 2) to plug into my practice amp but to also have the capability to transfer the tones from POD Farm 2.5 into the POD unit. Is this possible or is there a Line 6 product that will enable this. I don't want to go crazy on this as it is very much a practice set-up. I play through IV amp and have the M13 stompbox controller and a Digitech iPB10 pedalboard, so I don't need another expensive effects kit. Basically, I get a hugh amount of enjoyment out of the POD Farm and would like to expand its use by having the ability to download/transfer some patches/presets to another POD device. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks GM
  16. Hi, I recently got a Pocket Pod and the silver belt hook on the back moves from side to side. I am wondering if it is supposed to do this, or if it's supposed to be rigid and just move up and down. Thanks in advance.
  17. Hey guys! About to purchase Pod Farm 2.5 for my ilok. I own an ilok first generation. Will this work? Or am I required to purchase an ilok 2nd gen? I have searched the system requirements on the Line 6 website and it isn't specified. Any info would be great. Thanks!
  18. Does anyone no how to make a decent patch with both a clean and distortion sound in it. for instance, instead of switching from 1A to 1B, I can just stay on 1A with a clean sound, and flip on the overdrive as needed. I can't seem to get the distortion pedals to make a decent sound
  19. Just as the title says, I'm running into this problem. When I connect my x3 Live via usb, my pc prompts that it doesn't recognize the x3. I've downloaded the latest Line6 Monkey.
  20. Deutsch Français Mono/Stereo Table for the POD HD Series Effects. Special Thanks to JimRyanLine6 who originally researched and created this list. True Stereo - Left input goes to the Left output, Right goes to the Right output, effect is added to each channel separately. Mono - Left input and Right input are summed to mono, effect is added to the mono signal which goes to both the Left and Right outputs. Stereo Thru/Mono Effect - Left input goes to the Left output, Right input goes to the Right output, Left input and Right input are summed to mono, effect is added to the mono signal which goes to both the Left and Right outputs. Stereo Thru/Stereo Effect - Left input goes to the Left output, Right input goes to the Right output, Left input is processed to create a stereo effect and mixed with the Left and Right outputs, Right input is processed to create a stereo effect and mixed with the Left and Right outputs. The difference between the last two is a mono effect will sound like it is in the center of the stereo field, a stereo effect will lay across the stereo field. mono_stereo.doc Mono / Stereo-Tabelle für die Effekte de POD HD-Serie.
  21. I purchased a new HD500X and It's not sounding very good. I have hooked it up to my Laney GH50L head via 4 cable method, change the Pods output through power stack, direct, and combo stack with no luck...it all sounds extreamly fake. Strangly the best setting is the studio direct ( cant remember exact name). What do I set my FX loop volume knob on back of my amp? I tried adjusting FX loop levels on POD I have my switches set to line Thanks, Jeff
  22. Hello there, I bought a POD studio UX1 a few years ago and as far as i can remember it used to work fine. I decided to start using it again yesterday but found that i cant because; The LED doesnt light up at all when it is plugged in the UX1 is not recognised and is listed as an 'unknown' device I feel i have tried everything, i have; uninstalled and re-downloaded/installed all relevant software multiple times, I have gone and bought a new USB cable which does exactly the same thing I have checked all USB ports in my laptop and they work perfectly with all other devices I have done the obvious such as restarting the laptop and waiting for a while.. The only other coclusion i can think of is that the UX1 is faulty, but i cant see why as its been looked after and barely ever used. I would also like to mension that when i plug the USB cable in, it does make a sound, not the 'da ding', a USB device should make, it makes a 'dung dung' sound, not the 'di dong' one when you unplug a device. thats the only way i can describe it, and that also means the cable should be working. I am also running on Windows 7. Somebody please have a solution to this because i was really looking forward to actually using my UX1 Thanks
  23. Hi all! So I currently use a HD 500 at home which I run into my Scarlett 2i2 interface and monitors. Lately, I've been looking to get the most out of the unit itself, and I've found I'm getting a lot of tones I really like through more advanced tweaking and better setups of patches. My question is will I get more realistic tones and warmth by adding some form of poweramp after the pod and into the 2i2? Valve or not valve, I'd just like to try and bring the tones to life as much as possible! Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm a complete noob when it comes to this kind of thing! Cheers!
  24. Heya you all! I would like to know if it is possible to control my Flextone II's channels (or presets?) via my Pod XT live -pedal using MIDI? If this is possible, how easy it is to set up? One more question; if I can get the POD xt live to control Flextone presets/sounds, can I still put it in effets loop and use some effects from pod? Thank you for your asnwers! :)
  25. Hey all- Curious if you can have one signal path be a vocoder with the carrier signal being a synth plugged in via aux in rather than a guitar. So the programmed synth parts would control the pitch and sound rather than the guitar. Essentially I want my guitar to be one signal path with it's own effects and then the 2nd signal path be the vocoder filter + synth via aux in. My setup right now is that I use an EHX V256. Plug my mic in and plug an outside synth in via 1/4". Sounds great, but I get some ducking and squashing since I have no compression or gate on the vocoder. Rather than buy more pedals or a compressor, I'm considering the HD500 which would allow me to put these effects on the vocal path. Thanks!
