Hi, I've been successful in changing patches on my Pod HD500 using Cubase LE AI Elements 8, but the Pod just doesn't toggle the effects on/off when a midi command is sent to it. The Pod is sending and receiving signal as I have even recorded effect toggles from it to a MIDI track, but the Pod only responds to the patch changes, not the effects toggling. I'm not sure if I need to change any settings in the Generic Remote Settings. Can anyone help please? :)

My Pod xt live has a blank, orange screen when I turn the unit on. Digital screen showing banks and channels doesn't light up. No sound at all going through. I've connected it to Line 6 Monkey 1.77v via USB and it is recognized and even the ESN is recognized, but no Flash Memory is recognized. The USB Firmware is fine, but no Flash Memory located, just a dash, and a question mark before the Flash Memory. I tried pressing "Save" and "Edit" together while powering up, but that didn't work. No buttons or lights work anywhere. No knobs work, nothing at all. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this unit or does it need to be sent for repair. Thank you all for your time.

I have a PODhd500x. My expression pedal doesn't function. I have rested global settings. I have updated firmware and flash memory. I have calibrated the pedal and pedal calibration says 'F'. What could be wrong and someone please tell how to fix it? I live in a place where there are no service centres close by. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I used to own a Pod XT a few years back. There was a heavy FX tone that I used on a song that I’d love to be able to download again. It was called Broken Wash. Could anybody point me to an archive with this tone? Thanks.

Hello, I purchased the Line6 POD UX2 via http://www.thomann.de on 3/30/18. It was described with "including Line6 Software POD Farm with "FX Junkie" model pack, 18 Amps, 64 effects, [...]". So i registered my UX2, downloaded PodFarm 2.5, which came with a CD and Line6 Monkey. But when I start PodFarm it says "no PodFarm 2 License found". So i only got a Trial Version of the Software, which only includes 3 Amps, 2 Preamps, ... how can i get the full Version, which was described on the Website i bought the UX2? I don't want to buy it seperately, when it should be included with the UX2 device. I also tried to uninstall PodFarm and download the latest Version via your Website. Thanks for your help.

Hi Guys and gals! I have a question about the placement of the Vintage preamp. Im running a split path Top for acoustic and bottom for mic. Originally I had the vintage pre at the start of each path but it sounded negligible and average at best. Then I shifted the vintage pre to first spot then split the paths. Wowzer it sounded amazing!! Buuuuttt I then effectively have 1 path I think as all effects (eq and boost) afterwards effect both guitar and mic even tho it's split. Why does the preamp sound so much better like this? Do I need to start with the mixer and pan guitar left, mic right (i run mono out anyway) then split paths, then have the preamps? Maybe pramp, then panned mixer, then split? Help haha! Thanks.

I have a Lowdown 150 (and a 110 as well) with presets for my different basses, active and passive. But I don't always feel like lugging 50 lbs to a gig when I can DO to a PA. Which POD would duplicate my 150 presets? Thx

Hi, I just recently bought the POD HD500X and was wondering can the POD achieve tones like titanium, Don't let me down by Chainsmokers and also the new upcoming songs. The reason i asked this is because i am a beginner guitarists and am just learning by myself. It would be great if someone could help me out. Another question is that i try to get through the CUSTOMTONE patches for beat it solo for my POD HD500X but i can't get it cause no one has done the patches for the song for the POD HD 500X and i do not really know what effects are being used for that song. So was wondering can the pod achieve the tone as well.

So, I am trying to register my board on the Line 6 website so I can add new tones to it and use the tone editing software, but I cannot register the serial number because it says there is an error. I tried connecting it to Line 6 Monkey and it says "The POD HD500X you are connecting to is not a valid Line 6 hardware. Please inform Line 6 Customer Support about this message to receive further instructions." I have called Line 6 support and they tried to register my HD500X on their end, but they could not do it either. The representative told me the ESN (serial number) cannot be recognized and I would have to send it in for troubleshooting or take it to a local service shop. I got the info for a local repair shop and gave them a call. I told them the scoop and they said they cannot do anything because they can only repair and fix broken components, not sync a serial number with a unit. The manager at the shop was almost irritated that Line 6 told me to call them and take care of this issue and he was like "call the company you bought it from and ask for a replacement, we only repair or replace broken components, we can't sync serial numbers to units." So I contacted where I bought it from (Zzounds.com) to see what they can do. I have had this board since June 4th, 2017 and have used and created tones solely on the board. I am now wanting to download new tones and take advantage of the tone editing software. Since this problem has occurred I am left in a bind. I contacted Zzounds and let them know the situation and asked if they can send me a replacement and I'll send back this problematic unit back to them. I am still waiting to hear back. I use this board every weekend and cannot afford to be without it for up to 4 weeks, which is how long Line 6 support told me it would take to get it fixed. I have tried everything. I reinstalled drivers and all of the Line 6 apps and restarted my computer multiple times. I even used different USB cables and USB ports to make sure it wasn't a connection issue. I have checked the serial number probably about 20 different times and tried different combinations, I assure you I am not entering it in wrong. Anyone have any ideas? Screenshots of errors are attached.

I'm having an issue getting the Metal Shop authorized for use. I had re-bought it because of new features, but I used to run POD Farm on a different computer. I deauthorized my other computer so I could use my Studio GX on the new Mac I had Purchased. I am running OS X and my computer is authorized but I'm afraid my Line 6 GX is not showing up in License manager as well... How do I solve this problem? I deauthorized it and registered it again but it still will not show up. Somebody please help. THANK YOU.

But no sound comes through, almost like the mic isnt even on. AND YES I have tried switching from "instrument" to "mic 1 or 2" still nothing. I am running out of ideas at this point.. PLEASE HELP! UPDATE! I have gotten PODFarm to actually pick up my sound, BUT NOW whenever I talk into my mic it is just straight static and nothing else.

I have been using my Pod to record in Reaper, but I realized that until now I had been using WASAPI drivers instead of ASIO. My setup is as follows: Guitar into the Guitar In on the Pod, USB on the Pod into the USB on my computer, and headphones into the audio jack of my computer. I am essentially using the Pod as a DI box and reamping with VSTs in Reaper, as such, I don't want the sound of the Pod monitored, but the processed Reaper signal. When I attempt to use the Line 6 ASIO drivers, I cannot figure out how to send the output to my headphones. I have tried ASIO4All as well, and it shows the Pod as unavailable. Is there anything I can do with this setup, or would I need an additional piece of equipment in order to achieve this? Thanks in advance!

I was recording on my Pod hd pro x yesterday on my guitar(as i have countless of time before). Suddenly today it stops working. The device turns on and I can hear sound from my computer, but it won't get any signal from my guitar. Not even the tuner. I checked my guitar and the wires. I have no idea what happened or changed. I would really appreciate some direction.

Has anyone worked how to get the best sound from a Pod HD500x with the L2t powered speaker - It is not obvious whether to use the full amp models or just the Pre-amps because the electric setting on the speaker emulates an electric guitar amp so logically it would seem that using the pre-amp versions in the pod not the full amp models should sound better - sorry if this is covered I could not find anything on this so far? Ps I am using a variax JTV Pod Hd500x and Sounsource L2t

Hello, I've just bought an egnater tweaker 40 and I'd like to use it for cleans and an amp model from inside the pod for a high gain metal sound. Can and should I do this? If so, how?

Hello, I was trying to update my Pod HD500x from version 1.0 to the lastest 2.62 and it has been stuck on updating flash for more than two hours, and i'm really worried as i can't disconnect it (i'm afraid this might brick it as is suggested when trying to quit) but it seems to be stuck and i'm really unsure what to do. I just bought this so this is really worrying, and i can't afford to buy a new one. I'm doing this on a macbook 2016, and am using a usb-c to usb-A converter to connect the pod to my macbook. Any help is extremely appreciated.

Deutsch Français If the Onboard expression pedal of the POD HD500 does not sweep through parameter values as it normally would, you may need to perform a pedal calibration to reset the functionality of the expression pedal: Hold the down the RIGHT ARROW button on the 4 Way Nav Pad while powering the unit on, until you see the Test Mode screen (Pedal Cal, etc.), and then proceed with the steps below: If not already selected, use on the 4 Way Nav Pad to select Pedal Cal as shown above. Press the VIEW button. Set the pedal to the minimum "heel" position, then press the A footswitch to set a value for the Duty Cycle. You'll see the value set to "100". Set the pedal to the maximum "toe" position, then press the B footswitch to set a value for the Duty Cycle. Again, you'll see the value set to "100",as in step 3. Press the C footswitch to prepare for automatic selection of the Scaled Pedal Value and move the pedal from min. to max. You should see the Scaled Pedal Values read "0" at the heel position and "255" and the toe position. If you get values other than 0 and 255, power off and repeat these steps, starting at step 1. Press the D footswitch to save the settings. You be returned to the Test Mode screen and the Pedal Cal item will show to indicated that the pedal calibration is complete! Power your device off and back on again to start using it. ***Please Note: Re-calibration of the POD HD500's expression pedal is necessary after performing a Global Settings reset. Instructions for how to perform a Global Settings reset is available here. Hi there, I use my POD HD 500 as sound interface and it's been a few weeks I'm experiencing this issue: by no apparent reason the sound goes off and the only way I've found to fix this is to restart the computer (I tried disabling / re-enabling the POD as an audio interface, unplugging and plugging it again, both power and USB, nothing happens). If i'm listening to something in Youtube or Winamp, the player stops and can't play further, but strangely, if I'm working in Reaper (using ASIO drivers), I can still play things normally inside it. I have no clue why this is happening, it's the same Windows install for a while, although I'm guessing it's something to do with some recent Windows update maybe. Is there anybody else having this problem? My specs: POD HD 500 Windows 10 Pro x64 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 4 Gb RAM ddr3 1600 Asus m4a89td GeForce 260GTX 1Tb HD* All drivers / softwares / firmware are up-to-date in Line6 Monkey. * I have only 5Gb left in my Windows partition, need to fix this, but I don't really see how this can cause the audio problem Thanks in advance

Hello community! I'm kind of new here, I checked the compatibility post for pedals but I didn't get something. Can someone explain which devices are supposed to be compatible with a POD xt Live? I recently bought it used (as the best option according my wallet) and I was reading the manual to check about recording. I saw something about I could use a pedalboard as an extension and link it somehow to record what I play and play it background to jam. If this is possible, which pedalboard is the best for my multiefect? Or which is my multiefect for the compatibility list? (example: pro xt even when yours is xt live) Thanks for the help.

For the past year or two I have been unable to set up my Line 6 POD XT Pro to record properly into Reaper. I had to have a friend round to have a poke around for me with hopes that he may be able to fix it so this is said friend typing on my behalf! Presently, I am able to record but playback is very crackly. My setup is a little unconventional. I have an audio out port from my PC going to one of the Aux in's on my stereo system, to which my standard hi-fi speakers are connected. The POD XT Pro is connected to the PC via the usual firewire cable. However, I have to have a cable running from the Phones jack to the other Aux in port on my stereo system, so I have to toggle between the two Aux inputs depending on whether I want to hear sound from my PC (including audio playback from Reaper) or sound from my Line 6. Bit of a nuisance as it means I can't really jam along to YouTube videos or mp3s or whatever. I know this setup is weird but it's all I have. To attempt to solve the crackling problem I went to Preferences in Reaper and saw that the current Audio system setting in Audio > Device is "WASAPI (Windows 7/8/Vista)" My friend said that the norm is to have whatever ASIO device is available, so we tried this, and there are 2 sub-options of ASIO Driver, these being ASIO PODxt Pro or ASIO4ALL v2. Using ASIO PODxt Pro resulted in horrible noise when both recording and playback (earlier on trying it there was no sound at all). Using ASIO4ALL v2 resulted in smooth playback of existing recorded sounds but would not record anything. I presume the fact it says 'Not Connected' in the inputs section has something to do with it but there are no other options for some reason and the ASIO Configuration dialogue didn't give us any answers. I have made sure that the Aux input channel is on the right one every time with respect to whether I'm recording or playing back, so I presume the noise or recording issues are nothing to do with that but may make things more complicated. So can anyone advise how to eliminate the playback crackling when using WASAPI / ASIO PODxt Pro and/or how to get recording to work when using ASIO4ALL? System basic specs: Windows 7 Processor: Intel® Core i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz 3.07 GHz Installed memory (RAM): 3.00GB System type: 64-bit OS Unfortunately I'm not especially computer literate so if anyone can help but explain things in layman's terms as much as possible that'd be great!

Hi, I've got a used Pod XT Pro which is connected to to Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (1Gen) via S/PDIF. The problem is, that I do not know/understand how to setup both devices to get the signal from POD to Scarlett. The Scarlett is configured using MixControl SampleRate 41.1kHz Sync Source S/PDIF Sync Status Locked USB Driver Connected ASIO Buffer Size 6ms The POD XT Pro is setup using I/O & Dig Select Input Guitar Format 41.1kHz 24 Bit Mode Normal Gain +0db Having plugged a guitar in I see the signal led flashing. I also get a signal on the DI Out which I also connected the interface using 1/4inch. In MixControl I can see the level meters receiving signal on the analog input, but not on the S/PDIF ones. When I change the POD to 'Match S/PDIF' in the IO Select, still no signal can be received. When I restart the POD with this setting it gives a message saying: "CANNOT LOCK TO INPUT. WAIT FOR RE-CLOCK OR PRESS ANY BUTTON TO SELECT GUITAR IN AND 44.1kHz 24 BIT OUT." Can anyone help me out here, how to setup this correctly. Many thanks Sebastian
