Simple question here. I have a really awesome set of bluetooth headphones and just bought a Pod UX1 to compliment my Spider Valve MKII. I have opened Logic Pro X and also tried Garageband and noticed latency. I also noticed that Pod Farm will not work with the BT headphones at all. Like the original question asks, is latency avoidable? Also, is it possible to get Pod Farm to see the BT headphones. System is a MacBook Pro 2.8GHz i7 with 16GB RAM. Thanks everyone.

Pod creating awful feedback with nothing plugged in without gate
edfletch21 posted a topic in POD HD
I noticed a lot of feedback in a few of my tones. After some messing around I found that my POD is creating an awful, almost ground loop type feedback that is constant no matter what is plugged in, what output I use, or what outlet it is plugged in to. I have tried it at a friends house, and using a ground lift switch (60hz) feedback eliminator. Nothing seems to have an affect on the terrible sound that is almost louder than my guitars input. At this point I am 100% sure it is the POD and not dirty power, any pedals, cables, or proximity to my power conditioner. I need help, as this is driving me insane. Any suggestions, or fixes are much appreciated. -
HELP!!! I have a Variax 700 bass with VDI cable, it does not work with HD500x pod or pod XT live bass. Connecting to the XT Live pod freezes the screen. Until the cable is unplugged, it will restart. With the HD500x pod, I connect a regular RJ45 cable and work for a while but then the HD500X pod restarts. The VDI cable works well with JTV59 variax Can anybody help me?

After some price-drops in the last few weeks Thomann offers only the Line6 POD HD Pro X. The POD HD500x is no longer online and there is no upcoming stock information. Seems that the HD-Line is going to leave the market forever now. A pity especially after this surprising comparison… https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/ax8-headrush-helix-hd500x-shootout.1852940/ I will keep mine until it's death (and already bought a backup for 170 USD)

Is it possible to plug in a Digitech MC7 midi footswitch into the midi in of the pod hd to control it? For example, I need to change presets quickly on stage and I've had this footswitch laying around. I have searched for hours on the subject and there is very little information regarding it... Thanks for any help.

Suddenly pod farm 2.57 is saying that its not authorized/no license. Also, when I plug in my POD GX it doesn't seem to register with my system and does not appear in file manager. The red light turns on for about 10 secs then turns off. I run license manger and the gx is authorized but pod farm is not on the list. Should it be? I've never had to run the license manager before. Both these problems seemed to arise after the latest major windows update. I'm kinda a noob at all this and I'm sure the solution is pretty obvious...my friend set it all up for me and i would just use the gx/pod farm to practice and mess with tones without any problems ...until recently. I'm assuming the gx isn't working because pod farm "isn't authorized"? Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Hello everybody, i'm a bass player. I felt in love with helix but...it's so expensive, and I don't know if it worths the price for a bassa player. My need is to use some effects (comp. ocatvers, synths, wah) and sometimes amp models becaus I don't wanto to carrie all my stack. Now I have a zoom b3, a mark bass super synth and an ebs compressor, but I don't think b3 is good for amp simulation. My question is.....shall I consider POD HD 500x for bass or Helix is however better and worths the price? Shall I look for a used POD x3? I don't know what to do. It seems helix is designed expecially for guitar players (I know the firmware update introduced lots of amps for bass), and so the Pod HD (of course I would buy tha bass expansion pack), but pod hd costs about the half of Helix HD. Can you share your experiences with me? Can you give me some good advice please?

Hello Everybody!! This is my first post!! Years ago I had a bass pod xt live....then I sold it and bought a zoom b3 because i did not use any simulation of amps and cabs anymore. Now...I'd like to return to Pod, and here is my question. Shall I buy a POD x3 Live...ora a Helix Xt???? I know that POD x3 is fair better than the POD XT, and that it is used also with bass...! I'd like Helix becuase it's a more recent product and...is very sexy :) but....it seems to me that is more guitar oriented than the X3. Can someone give me a good advice? Shall I spend money for an HELIX ora can i go straight to an X3... Another question.....using this two systems...can i sell my mark bass supersynth? Do the octaver and synths works well? The synths are highly configurable? Yhank you for your answers!!

A pod 2.0 manual I downloaded has the brit hi gain listed as a 1986 Marshall JCM 800 in the manual, but as a 1990 Marshall JCM 800 on the reference sheet. Any idea which year is the correct one modeled? I'm no amp tech, so is there really much of a difference between those two year's models? Here is a link to the manual. You can find the discrepancies on pages 2 and 3. http://www.rudebadmood.com/badges/POD_2.0_User_Manual-English.pdf

Hello everyone, I have 2 x POD HD500s, my original road-worn thing with broken pots and jacks etc and a near-new one I have just bought. I would like to somehow link them together so that the new one will control both PODs with the output of both being available at the 1/4" outs of one only. Any tips from anyone...? Many Thanks, Anthony (Australia)

Hi I have downloaded some official pod farm Polyphia patches they used on their album. I tried loading these onto my POD X3 Pro but I am getting the "Unrecognized Driver. Your Pod X3 Pro will be ignored" issue in gearbox. I've spent days trying to get them to load with no success. I was hoping someone that had pod farm could load the patches for me and send me the settings used so I can manually set them up on my POD? I will be happy to share the patches with you but have no way myself of loading and viewing the settings. Let me know if you are interested and your email address and ill send these through. Regards

Hey guys, I thought I'd make this a separate post so that it's easier to find for anyone who might be having some issues. The patches for the HD500 do not import directly into the HD500X Edit software at this time. They use different file formats. There is a work-around that I posted earlier, and is being passed around now. All you have to do is change the extension on the patch files: For individual patches, change the extension from .h5e to .5xe For bundles, change the file extension from .h5b to .5xb For setlists, change the file extension from .h5s to .5xs I have found no inconsistencies among the patches from the HD500 Edit to the HD500X Edit using this method. I don't know if/when Line 6 will update the software to allow backwards compatibility, but in the mean time, you can use this method to get your 500 patches to your 500X. UPDATE: Someone else mentioned that you can drag-and-drop individual HD500 files into the tone slots in the 500X Edit software. I can confirm that this works. You will still need to change the file names for set-lists and bundles, though.

So i am use to podfarm 2.5 but its totally different. What i would like to know is how to use the hd500x the best way when using headphones. I dont own any halfstscks or 2x12's, only a 75w spider 4, so i cant use L/R stereo out. I keep hearing all these amazing tones (unmixed) but cant seem to reproduce them. And most patches are for big amps and dont sound the same. If any one can guide me in how to create great tones using headphones i would greatly appreciate it. For guitars i use a epiphone SG custom prophecy and a ibanez JEM77P-BFP. I also have a 10 band eq i could use as a chain with the pod.

Hi, Recently I updated my system to a beta version of mac osx sierra and because of this I'm unable to use my pod hd bean. Line 6 Monkey is able to determine the device and shows options to update drivers. After updating the drivers there is an automatic restart and line 6 Monkey shows me the same old driver and gives an option to update. Have tried installing the drivers manually from the line 6 website but still the same issue. It is not possible now to downgrade the mac to older OS. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, So I acquired an HD500 through a trade. It has been a little work as I discovered I was given the wrong power supply for the unit and it would overheat and restart mid-gig. I purchased the correct one and everything has been great. Every once in a while my FS3 freezes up but seems to work after a few minutes. Sometimes it works immediately. I took the pedal apart and blew some dust out and it hasn't really given me any issues. All has been well EXCEPT today=( I booted up my HD500 and the entire bottom row of footswitches were not working at all. I immediately thought that it sounded like a software issue or the ribbon connecting the bottom portion was disconnected or something. So, I took it apart again and everything seemed fine. The strange thing? I reassembled the board and googled for about 10 additional minutes. I plugged it back in and the switches work perfectly. The firmware is up to date and I just want to know: Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what the hell is happening? How can I rectify this and avoid this issue in the future? I appreciate any comments ahead of time. Thanks guys, Beau

So... I'm a little new to this equipment:) I currently have a Line 6 half stack (Spider 2 150w) and a Marshall MG half stack. If I purchase one of the Line 6 Pods (looking at XT Pro).....am I able to output to both of the amps simultaneously.....or can I only output to one amp. Sorry if the answer is obvious.....I've looked through the online manual....but the answer wasn't jumping out at me:) Thanks!! Jamie

Hey guys, I recently bought a Pocket POD and had it shipped overseas. I'm currently deployed and figured it would be easier than having an actual amp here. I wanted to maybe record onto my laptop, but I know you can't via USB and also unless I buy a speaker to plug into, the laptop mic isn't much use. Are there any ways to record directly into my laptop without buying a soundboard and things like that? I used to work at a recording studio when I was younger, but that was years ago and we had tons of equipment. Now I'm pretty limited on both equipment and space. I'd like to have direct access from the POD to the laptop to get the raw sound from the POD instead of recording into a mic. I appreciate the help.

Hello everybody! I'm new here and new with my UX1. I'm so far very happy with it. I have been searching swells packs for worship, but it seems the UX1 doesn't have that.. Am I right? No such/similar effects? I would appreciate if anybody with experience with this stuff would link me to some patches or addons or anything that could help me out, thank you in advance! veecharlie.

Okay so as a graduation present, I was given a brand new POD HD500x All I have is one xlr cable which fits but doesn't go all the way into my headphones (the 3.5mm) because of the way they were designed to have a skinnier cable (but still 3.5mm) fit (they are skull candy crushers) Anyway, I use reaper and FL studio (not both at the same time, just alternate) and I want to record, and I set up the pod with my computer and got everything installed and the tone editor, but you see when its connected via usb my computer playback and recording devices are switched too it meaning I can't hear a damned thing even through reaper, so I get no playback of what I record, and even after I disconnect everything i still don't get any playback. If I set the playback device to my headphones as default and leave the pod as defaut communications, I can hear everything from my computer just fine, but I still can't hear my guitar through the pod. I did think of routing it through an amp and then back to my computers input, but I have a horrid motherboard that doesn't handle impiedence very well. I know this because I use to record with Guitar Rig 5. Basically, I'm looking to see if there's something I'm doing wrong, or an alternative because I'm impatient and have to wait a few days before I can go out and get a 1/4 jack adapter Shouldn't you just connect it with usb and everything is fine? In Reaper, I set the sound drivers to Asio and selected the Pod's drivers so the input is proper it just seems the output of the sound still goes to the pod?

If you have had the Pod Desktop unit (the black one, Pod HD), how does the Firehawk compare. I've heard someone say that it has pretty much the same effects, just as a foot pedal version. I have the desktop unit, but really like what I'm reading review wise, of the Firehawk. Thanks!

Suddenly one day, my Delays and Reverbs and any effect I place post FX Loop no longer work. The buttons respond, but the audio is not changed. If I move the effect block before the FX Loop, it makes some audible change but is quite lollipop. I am using the 4CM and it was working, and now isn't. Is there a setting I may have accidentally changed or has anyone else has this problem? Thanks, Greg.

You guys need to check these out... Barefoot Buttons. I recently purchased my Firehawk and have difficulty hitting the back row of buttons without accidentally pressing the first row beneath it. After a little research, I found these little guys. Incredibly and artfully manufactured. They cost about $10 each (including shipping). A total lifesaver for live performance. Will work with any 3/8" button. Excellent for Firehawk, Helix and Pod HD. Please note that I am in no way affiliated to the company. Just a very happy customer. I had to share. I just picked up a Audio technica at-2020 condenser microphone for recording my classical guitar. But the levels are too quiet in podfarm, I have the microphone +48v boost on, and put a clean amp on podfarm full volume, it was still way too quiet. the levels only reached up to -30db in podfarm (the input was a bit lower around -40). When i added gain it destroyed the sound quality, but i got a bit more sound. I'm not sure what to try next. I really need some help. I have a Pod ux2 podfarm 2.5 AT 2020 condenser mic mixcraft 6 I added pictures of the levels and the amp i was using for reference.

My POD HD 400 automatically activates the "preset" knob which I use as a Reverb knob for my effects. It doesn't only modify the amount of effect by taking it to 99% instead of the 10% I usually have it set up, but it even changes the kind of reverb (I usually use the "room" reverb, but it goes to "plate" on its own). This is the first time it happens. I tried updating the firmware and the flash memory with the Line6 Monkey, but the problem is still there. What else could I do to solve this problem? Have you heard of something similar on other Line 6 products? Thanks in advance for your help on this.
