Hello, I am not sure if this has been answered or not, I wasn't able to find anything. Can I purchase Metal Shop and use it with either Pod Farm 1 or Pod Farm free without having to buy Pod Farm 2.5? Or do I have to buy Pod Farm 2.5 in order to use the Metal Shop? Thanks for your help.

Hello, I am looking into purchasing a POD HD Desktop along with a short-board. My debate is over getting the short-board mkii or the original. I was wondering the different ways of button use. First off, how to you change from "ABCD" mode to "FS1-8" mode? Second, is there a way to set the function 2 button on the short-board to do this for you?

Hello, I am debating buying a used ilok license of PodFarm Platinum on Ebay, but I am worried about getting ripped off, or getting a illegal version of the program. Is there a way I can check the status of a license with Line 6 before I make a purchase, and can they do anything to keep someone from getting ripped off? Thank You

Hi all! I am a proud owner of a PodXTLive and I'm really happy with it! I'm also a developer and my project is to create a VST Host under Raspberry Pi2.. all is going well, but (as far as I know) there aren't Line6 drivers for Linux based on ARM architecture.. There is someone that can help me with the project or that can give me some hint or ideas to make it work? Raspberry Pi2 would be perfect for a vst host and It would be nice to make my PodXTLive do the sound processing like I do (for example) on windows! Thank you all and I hope to get a clear answer just to understand if I have to give up and try with some other solution. Luca

This is a song I wrote when I was probably 15 or 16 years old, but never actually recorded (other than just by putting a tape recorder next to my amp). I decided to put it to a drum track and see how it turned out. The patch I used is a Gibtone 185 with the gain controls set around medium and using nothing but some plate reverb and a digital delay (and a Noise Gate at the front). The drum track is from a website that provides free drum loops, and the bass was just me improvising using my guitar and the HD500X with the Flip Top bass amp and the bass octaver effect. The track is here if you're interested in hearing it: http://www.mediafire.com/listen/mh8ffxrjegn7lu8/IntoTheEyeOfHarmonyCDMaster.mp3 I originally wrote the song using a Crate G120C amp with a Digitech Digital Delay pedal (which I still had until about a year ago, and I regret selling it even with all of the built in delays on the POD and on my Vypyr). The original settings on that gear were for playing Van Halen's Cathedral, but I ended up making my own song using the same settings. I just recreated the delay I used back then on the POD for this recording. I have a little more info about it on my blog.

So I use an m-audio midiport to change my pod's patches during live shows. However when a patch changes, there is a small interruption of sound (for about half a second) which sounds bad in the mix... Is there a way to make the change faster? If not, I basicly change between rythm and lead patches, so can I change some parameters of the patch (like turning pedals on/off. or amp settings) using MIDI signals? I just want to make our live sound as perfect as it can get...

Hi, I have a HD500X and will by the Model Packs when they and FW 2.6 are available. I'm considering buying another HD500X for backup (using a X3 PRO now) and have a question about model pack licensing: -Can I use the same license for both HD500Xs, or do I need two licences? Thanks, Jostein

So I've had my Pocket POD for a while, and it was working pretty well until it was dropped on a hard floor. Ever since, it randomly cuts out the sound (and the LED light freezes), which is sometimes fixable by jiggling the guitar input jack, or by giving it a few whacks. Otherwise, it just starts to fuzz, then emit a high-pitched sound, and then shuts off, then right back on again, working normally. Sometimes when this happens and I hit it, the screen just displays a few black bars on the left-hand side, which go away after a few more slaps. Oh, and when I turn my amp volume up, the POD seems to be making this crackly sound, kind of like a buzz. Is some of my hardware messed up? Please help me, I have a gig I want to jam at soon! Thanks a lot for your time!!

I bought my pod hd pro X from thomann 2 months ago and it was just fine, untill the last few weeks. Randomly, while I use the Pod as a soundcard for my Windows PC the Pod doesn's seemsto respond to the window's sound while my guitar still sounds Ok on the monitors. This will continue to happen until I restart. Its really, REALLY annoying! I guess it's a windows issue but i don't know how to fix it. Help??

Hi guys! I just disconnected my POD 500X from my computer as the latency was unbearable. I think I'll try connecting my KRK 6's directly into it instead, but I noticed that the outputs on the POD are balanced whereas the inputs on the monitors are balanced for both XLR and TRS. Will this be a problem ? I've read somewhere that when monitoring from the balanced outputs on the POD, the volume gets really low unless you connect to an amp, but when using unbalanced directly it's quite allright for practising...? Just wondering what kinda cables I should head out to buy on monday - cheers for any advice :) -Thomas

Hey folks, I have a question. Of course I do, otherwise why would I be here? Anyway, I'm in a small band one that's not planning on going anywhere beyond the local pub scene. The amp I'm using is good, but it has no effects (not even reverb) what it does have is the ability to run a second preamp through the poweramp. My question is can I use the PODHD300 in this fashion (of course turning off the poweramp and cab simulations) and what kind of cables should I use? I'm an experienced guitarist but I've never done anything like that before. the amp in question is a Marshall 6101. I know I can use the POD as a multi effects board but I don't really like the way it sounds like that. I'm thinking it would sound better using the digital preamps but I've no clue how to hook it up. Any ideas?

So I just got the FBV Shortboard MkII a couple of days ago and I've figured most of it out but I can not for the life of me figure how to get the tap tempo to work with a delay that I have on my Pod Hd Pro X. I've figured out how to assign certain effects to my shortboard but I just can't get the tap tempo to work. Thanks in advance for anyones help!

Hi Guys, I bought my new POD HD 500X about a week ago, and since then i encountered a blue screen issue which happened twice already. The issue occurs while plugging out the POD USB cable from my computer. This makes me very nerves since the main reason i bought the POD HD 500X is for recording and mostly using it with my PC..also i'm worried those errors are causing damage to my PC. Here is the error i got from the blue screen (shared from blue screen viewer): ================================================== Dump File : 012515-18158-01.dmp Crash Time : 1/25/2015 10:21:09 PM Bug Check String : SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Bug Check Code : 0x0000003b Parameter 1 : 00000000`c0000005 Parameter 2 : fffff800`02ed415e Parameter 3 : fffff880`0dd7dcb0 Parameter 4 : 00000000`00000000 Caused By Driver : ntoskrnl.exe Caused By Address : ntoskrnl.exe+76e80 File Description : NT Kernel & System Product Name : Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Company : Microsoft Corporation File Version : 6.1.7601.18700 (win7sp1_gdr.141211-1742) Processor : x64 Crash Address : ntoskrnl.exe+76e80 Stack Address 1 : Stack Address 2 : Stack Address 3 : Computer Name : Full Path : C:\Windows\Minidump\012515-18158-01.dmp Processors Count : 4 Major Version : 15 Minor Version : 7601 Dump File Size : 321,248 Dump File Time : 1/25/2015 10:22:37 PM ================================================== Here is my computer (desktop) settings: windows 7 64 bit Intel Core i5 4690 3.5Ghz 6MB L3 Cache s1150 Asus H97M-PLUS G.Skill Ares 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Asus GTX750 Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 64MB 7200RPM Sata III I tried asking line 6 support but they didn't respond..please if you know what's causing this and how to solve this issue let me know, Thank you.

I ordered some of the magnetic labels from Gigwrx last week and they came in yesterday. These are nice quality and I really like how they look. Just thought I'd share. I ordered more than I'll use at once, and one that I rarely would use to turn an effect off with a footswitch (reverb), but it's nice to have the label in case I ever want to.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and I just got a DT50 212 Combo to join my POD HD500X and I need some advice. I want to Loop with distortion for in a live concert. I mean, Record a Rhythm with Distortion, Loop it, and Solo over with Distortion. Just like Paul Gilbert does in this video (at 1:47): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc0yCiCvy6Y He uses an AB pedal to switch between 2 amps, one for Rhythm and another amp for Solo. Can I do this with one HD500X and just one DT50 212 Combo? Or do I need to buy another DT50 212 Combo? Or maybe one DT50 Head and use the speakers of the DT50 212 Combo? Is it possible at all? If not what's your advice for playing live with loops? Backing tracks? Thanks in advance. Pedro

So I've spent quite a bit of time deciding which active monitor to buy to use at home for dialing in patches. I've been using an old Crate PA system with a left channel that no longer works. It's a big, heavy, and bulky 3 piece system that stays in my basement, but it worked for the purpose of helping create patches for when I play live. Since all of the rest of my guitar gear is upstairs (2 levels up from the basement), I've been using a decent pair of PC speakers plugged into the headphone jack on my POD. It works for practicing, although the POD clips the speakers on a number of patches, even with the volume fairly low on the speakers. I'd been planning on getting an active monitor and looked at Behringer, Kustom, and a few others. I finally settled on the Alto TS110a and it arrived today. It's bigger than I expected and is currently sitting atop my Peavey Vypyr VIP II amp. I've only had about 15 or 20 minutes to play through the speaker, but I am very happy with what I'm hearing so far. It sounds better than my Crate PA system and speakers, and is much closer to the sound I get when plugged into the deck playing live, and of course it's a huge upgrade over the PC speakers I've been using for practicing. So the big benefits for me are 1) not having to take my guitar and POD to the basement when I want to build a new patch and 2) having my practice time sound much better. The speaker also has 2 separate inputs, each with it's own volume control for mixing, and each input doubles as either XLR or 1/4". The speaker lists for $349, but the street price is $249, and so far I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I'd almost decided to go with a Behringer Eurolive until I stumbled upon an older post somewhere recommending the Alto speakers. After researching, it sounded like what I wanted, and now that I have it, I'm glad it's what I went with. At some point, unless I discover something I don't like (which doesn't seem likely at this point), I'll probably end up buying a second one to run them in stereo. I see lots of posts here and on other forums asking about affordable active monitors, so I thought I'd share. If you're looking for something like this, you might want to check one of these out to see if it's something that would fit your needs.

The product is the Line 6 UX-1 audio interface; I could not find a menu to register that product. the serial number (I'm assuming SN is that) is (21) [serial removed]. ASIO driver (Windows 7) won't write the audio that I hear through POD Farm. I also tested my amp and get a lot of background static with the 15 watt Line 6 Spyder IV amp. So far my experiments to troubleshoot involved researching how to get Audacity to write audio, That would require using a recompiled version of Audacity for ASIO driver support. That is the crux of what I need help with, I can use POD tones entirely if the amp is just staticky or needs maintenance first. I've gotten the audio waveforms in Reaper and Sonar 8, so I know that it can detect the input. It simply won't write to disk. This might be asking a bit much, but I'd also like support to get my keyboard working sicne that encountered driver issues as well. I've included all information in my Support Profile for OS, drivers, etc. Thank you in advance, after I get the drivers working everything should go smoothly! Love Line 6 guitar tones!

Hello everyone I purchased a line 6 pod hd pro about a week ago and I love the tones you can get out of it the only problem is that when it's connected to my computer via usb it gives me this really annoying noise every 3 minutes or so. I attached a file of the clean tone so you can hear how it sounds. Did anyone have this problem, or does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Cheers! line6problem.mp3

I am waiting for my Pod HD Pro and L3T to arrive, and in the meantime, I have been going over the technical documentation to arrive at an optimal setup for my equipment. One thing that concerns me, and one reason I have gone with the L3T is that the environment and setup I have is prone to feedback. I know the L3T has feedback control functions, but I plan to hook up the L3T to the POD HD Pro via the L6 connector and unless I am misreading the block diagram provided in the technical documentation, I am not sure Feedback Control is available on inputs from the L6. The diagram seems to indicate Feedback control is only available via the Line input, and the Mixer Ch1 and Ch2 inputs. Can someone confirm that feedback control is active for the L6 input? I would like to plug inputs into the POD HD for signal processing and play it via the L3T, but don't necessarily want to give up feedback control to make it happen. Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!

Last week on Tuesday I found out we'd be playing Joy to the World on the weekend (which ended up turning out really well). So to practice and try out a few different amps and tones, I decided to record the song in Mixcraft and have my 10 year old daughter sing lead, and since my brother is staying with us while in town for Christmas, I asked him to sing harmony. Thanks to Palico for the suggestion to use the Marshall Super Lead with a T-75 cab, as it turned out to be a perfect combo for the tone I was looking for. The band had fun playing it this weekend, and I had fun recording it at home with my daughter and brother, so I thought I'd share: http://www.mediafire.com/listen/bt7nsgfbpk10l6k/JoyToTheWorld+-+Brian-Chloe-Tracy.mp3 This is my favorite tone so far that I've been able to get with the Marshall models on the HD500X. It's just the amp using cranked mids with a screamer in front of it and plate reverb at 30%. The right channel guitar does have analog chorus added, but that's it. I also used the bass octaver and the flip top model for the bass part.
