Really pleased with my new Pod Express Guitar pedal - the sound quality and features for the price are astounding. It has quality sounds/FX, amp/cabinet simulation, Looper, Headphone output and it runs on batteries - I don't think any other product can do that in such a small/economical unit. The only very minor frustration was that I cannot assign the external footswitch to start/stop the looper - which would be really handy if you prefer the Pod Express on a stand so you can tweak the settings. Failing that just having a count-in for the looper (at the tap tempo) or a start the recording when you play something mode/setting would make using the looper using your hands so much easier. In meantime I just start the looper and begin playing on beat 2, 3 or 4, then add the missing notes/chords on the next pass - I did try every option on the foot-pedals as I was hoping the enable/disable delay option would do the trick. But still an amazing unit as it is :)

If POD Express not connecting or you have a failed update process, please try out these steps with either Line 6 Central, OR POD Express Edit. 1. Open Line 6 Central- Verify that you have the latest version installed 2. Connect POD Express to computer with the USB-C connection 3. Update mode: Press and hold both Footswitches as you plug in power connection, or 1/4" cable for the guitar input. 4. You should get a “Generic Device Detected” popup. Click ‘Identify’. With POD Express Edit, you may need to click the cloud icon on the top left corner. 5. Choose the POD Express from the devices shown. 6. Reinstall the latest firmware. 7. Follow the prompts once the firmware installation is complete. 8. Perform Factory Reset(optional). Factory Reset: Press and hold both Footswitches and plug in power (with NO USB connection)

Hey everyone. I've been an UX 2 user for almost 7 years and never had a problem, until now. I bought a new computer with an I7 13700, 32 Gb ram and etc... a high-end system. 1st thing I did was installing my UX 2 and podfarm 2. I got the guitar and there is just a buzzing, piercing noise coming from the speakers and I am desperate since I have no idea how to get it sorted and what is the conflict. Tried also with STL to check if it was Pod farm but nah, same thing. Terrible noise. I've checked the settings over and over but can't figure what is wrong. Downloaded ASIO also, just in case but nothing, same story. With my old computer (almost 9 years old) everything worked perfectly. With this new one there must be something I am missing, I guess/hope. Any idea what could it be? This is just so frustrating. Thanks

Originally, Pocket POD included a USB-mini cable that allowed for connection to the third-party editor software Vyzex. Please note that while the Vyzex editor software is freely available to download from www.Line6.com/software, it is no longer supported by its publisher Psicraft nor Line 6. As such, a USB-mini cable is no longer included in the box. We have found that a number of Pocket POD boxes mentioning the cable were shipped, despite those boxes not including the cable. For those in this scenario wishing to still use Vyzex, a USB-mini cable can be sourced at many online retailers. USB-mini cables are not available from Line 6.

Greetings all and happy new year! I recently discovered a POD XT I purchased a while back and was in the process of updating it and the firmware update wasn't possible because I'm missing the correct cable. I'm connected to my Macbook Pro via USB. Also how can I tell which firmware is currently installed? I've looked but none of the things I read about and try seem to work.

The POD Go loads into the frozen bean silhouette with no progress upon starting. Went through installing go edit for the drivers, Line 6 updater, starting the POD in update mode with the updater in DXP-NFU, and using multiple computers and USB cables. No matter the combination, the firmware update fails. I get to where the PC says installing firmware update and the POD says updating, but the progress bar never even fills at all and the firmware update failed error always follows.

The display of my POD HD 500 is stuck with "UPDATE FLASH" on screen, and nothing more. I've tried to reinstall Flash Memory, I've reinstalled Line 6 monkey, all Drivers and etc, and nothing works. I even tried do Reset (or whatever) by pressing the LEFT button (or any other button) while powering it on, but nothing happens. Just the screen with the "UPDATE FLASH" message, even if it is not plugged into the computer. If someone knows what to do to make it work again, please tell me.

Hey everyone! Long time HD Pro user and fan here. So this unit has now been retired to a specific project I'm part of and I was wondering if it's possible to rename banks using the edit software? (Not just the individual patches/presets or the setlist, but the numbered bank that is made up of 4 patches). By default these are assigned number but the act I'm part of now is very FX heavy so it would be great to customize and dedicate a bank of 4 presets to a specific song and have that also show up on my mk2 floorboard for live shows. Anyone who can answer this will be rewarded with a crisp digital high 5 from yours truly! Thanks in advance!

Hello all, I need a replacement for the battery compartment door for my Pocket Pod. Does anyone know where I can get one of these in Finland? I found only one store but they don't deliver my contry. Thanks for your help.

I would like to know if it's possible to connect my Boya BY-M1 TRRS lavalier microphone into the XLR output of the Pod UX1 using a 3.5mm to XLR adapter. I am starting to give online guitar classes, but I am having a hard time making my mic and guitar work together on Zoom. Since this mic has a 3.5mm cable, I'm plugging it into the headphone/mic output of my laptop, but in Zoom I have to choose from the drop-down menu if I want the output to come from the Pod UX1 or from the laptop output, leaving me either with just the guitar sound or the mic sound only. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hey! So I've been dealing with this issue for seriously a year or two, but it's gotten insane the past couple months where it's every single time I start up my computer. Needed to finally make a topic since it's never been described exactly like this for me. Here is a video link to see what's happening: (If there's a more preferred way to share this just let me know please) Dropbox Link for UX2 Hiss Video I will need to unplug and replug my interface in for an unknown amount of times before the issue resolves itself. Sometimes it breaks the driver and I reinstall the UX2 drivers to get rid of the blinking red lights and it works again for the time I have my computer booted up. The noises vary but are similar. Some high pitched, some with a rhythmic pulse like it could be the power source, I have a battery backup surge protector everything runs through. Others sound like a High-Pass is on it, and some are bassy. Never know what you're going to turn the monitors on for and hear. I've tried switching the ports I've plugged into, taking every other plug of my UX2 out and replugged them in with varying orders, turning knobs while having it plugged in and out, etc. I have Mackey MR5s if that gives any help somehow. And I have attached an HTML and TXT file for my CPU info from CPU-Z KYLE-NZXT-DESKT.html KYLE-NZXT-DESKT.txt

Hey all, first post here, hopefully I am in the right forum for this question. Can anyone here confirm if the amp models in the plugin POD Farm Platinum are the same as the ones that could be found in the POD HD500X or POD HD PRO X with the add-on model packs? Trying to figure out if the plugin or the hardware is the more reasonable purchase for myself. Thanks!

Yesterday, I finally got my HD300 to work by plugging it in via usb. I went on the line6 website and installed some audio drivers and it worked perfectly. I turned my pc off when I went to bed and now that I've turned it back on, it doesn't work. I tried installing drivers for it with the line6 monkey, but that doesn't seem to work either. Is there a way that I need to manually execute the drivers upon rebooting my computer or is it just broken? Any help is appreicated.

Hey all, I know this is a common topic but I still haven't found a satisfying answer so I'm going to ask it... How can I remove the tone coloring that occurs on the HD500X when in stompbox mode and all effects (and amp models) are OFF? I can tell when I go to the tuner and use the bypass mode that with all effects off, the 500X is still affecting my tone. In tuner bypass mode, the signal to amp is dry and unaffected do the 500x *should* be capable of not coloring my signal. In regular play, with all fx off and the amp model disabled, the tone is darker and the signal is weaker. This is really frustrating because what I wanted the 500X is for it's stompbox effects not an amp modeler. I know about the 4 cable method and using the modeling for the preamp toy amp, but that will be a last resort. I just really want the effects and my amp's tone! Please help! Helix: https://shop.line6.com/marketplace/satch-style-with-ir-for-helix.html POD Go: https://shop.line6.com/marketplace/satch-style-with-ir-for-pod-go.html HX Stomp: https://shop.line6.com/marketplace/satch-style-with-ir-for-hx-stomp.html The Satch tones are done for all three platforms and live in Marketplace at the links above! I started playing guitar in 1989 just a few months before Flying in a Blue Dream was released. I was reading all the guitar magazines at that time and Satch was on the cover of every single one! Surfing with the Alien was the first tab book I bought at the local music store. I can't really play anything like Satch but he was such an inspiration to me that I certainly spent many hours trying! This history is why it was such a special set of tones for me to work on.

I just bought a pod go and was looking at which headphones to buy. Looking at the FAQ it says the headphone impedance output is 63 ohms?? That can't possibly be right can it? The helix floor is 12 ohms. Why is the pod go more than 5 times higher? Using the rule of 8, that would mean you need to use headphones with over 500 ohm load with the entry level pod. Did the FAQ mean we should use headphones with over 63 ohms? I'm really confused.

Hello! I want to use my POD HD500 as an audio interface to record my acoustic guitar using the guitar/aux input. I use USB to connect the POD to the computer. In this case, what would be the most correct way to use it: should I create an empty preset or use it in Bypass (tuner)? Thank you! Regards, Rafael

Hi All Do we have any POD repair experience on this forum? My POD 2 (FBV) is flashing a particular sequence on start-up and the voltage on the DC regulators is oscillating up and down. Interestingly, if I put into Test mode and run all the tests it has stable DC voltages and passes most of them bar the potentiometer range tests. Any help appreciated from anyone who has done low-level POD circuit troubleshooting. Cheers

In trying to use my HD500x as an audio interface, the audio level is EXTREMELY low... barely audible. Anyone else experiencing this or have a fix for it?

Helix: https://shop.line6.com/marketplace/steve-vai.html POD Go: https://shop.line6.com/marketplace/steve-vai-pod-go.html HX Stomp: https://shop.line6.com/marketplace/steve-vai-hx-stomp.html I got my Steve Vai live tone done for Helix. It is live in Marketplace right now! I used the new Carvin Legacy Drive model (Legendary Drive in Helix) for this. It took me some time to crack the code to get it sounding just the way I wanted it. It has a very rich sound. The Wet/Dry/Wet signal routing is always something I have fun playing with but don't use a lot myself (since I mostly play mono venues). I've always been at least marginally happy with my dirty lead and rhythm tones but it's the cleans that have always disappointed me. I stoked to the max to have been able to nail these clean tones. Seriously, Helix "floors" me (har har) with the quality and flexibility of tones I am able to get. I had a blast making this and hope you'll all dig it. I am also working on versions of this for HX Stomp and POD Go. I'll update here when they are ready! Update 1: POD Go preset is now also here! The biggest challenge of making this tone was the fact POD Go does not have the Carvin Legacy Drive model. Being lucky enough to have Helix and POD Go side-by-side gave me the chance to audition and tweak until I could get an amp model that sounded convincing. Check the playlist of videos below and let me know what you think of my effort. POD Go is no joke. I did not feel the need to make any trade-offs bringing this awesome Vai tone. Update 2: The HX Stomp preset is live, too. Super happy about this little unit. The Stomp gives a little more wet/dry flexibility with its two paths and the Carvin Legacy Drive model. It also retains the ability to use two different cab or IR on each path which widens the stereo spread a bit. Either way, I think all three of these units are top notch and sound fantastic! Hi all... Thanks in advance for your help. I tried the search function here first but most of the filtering options seemed unavailable so the results list was way too long. I've revamped my old laptop and want to experiment with my POD Studio UX1/PodFarm and a DAW. Thought I'd try Cakewalk first but I have also installed Reaper because of this question I have - I don't know if I have a problem or if what I observe is to be expected. I used the SI-drums and SI-bass in Cakewalk (just the midi of the some of the included loop rhythms) for a couple of tracks. I set the loop playing and I can add VST Fx like reverb, etc. with all the Cakewalk-included plugins - I can manipulate the plugin controls, hear the effect, I see signal meters bouncing, etc. If, however, I select any of the PodFarm plugins, it's like they are permanently bypassed. I don't hear any change or see any input/output signal and turning knobs does nothing. (Fwiw, I could not find a "power on/bypass" button on the plugin itself but maybe I missed it. When I say plugin, I've tried the whole PodFarm2 giant plugin, with all the amps, etc. and then some individual effects as well - same behavior either way.) Perhaps this is expected? Are the Line6 plugins tied directly to the UX1 interfaces and can't be applied otherwise? Seems logical on one hand, why would they allow the plugin to be used outside the scope of their product after all? But this just goes against my (admittedly very!) limited knowledge of DAW/VST fundamentals. I could answer some of my curiosity by going to get a guitar or mic and plugging it in to the UX1 and actually trying it to see if the plugin is enabled. But that's taking the easy way out and I'm stubborn like that! :-) (While technically possible I suppose, it seems unlikely that "plugging in" to the UX1 is going to magically enable the plugin.) thanks! Rob Update: I did just now find all the little yellow on/off toggles for the various effects/amps/mics etc in the big PodFarm plugin. They are all "on" as they should be but the effect is clearly not enabled. Also, how might I find out if my license includes the use of the VST plugins? (I would have expected some sort of indication while trying to use them if in fact my license doesn't include the plugins.) Update: I think this text I found from the Pod Farm 2 install documentation suggests I should be able to use the plugins as long as the interface is connected: (meaning I don't necessarily have to be actually *using* it as input) "Just remember that for running POD Farm 2 & elements Plug-Ins, your Line 6 hardware that holds the POD Farm 2 license must always be connected via USB (even if you’re also using a 3rd-party interface). You don’t necessarily need to be using your Line 6 hardware as your active USB audio device - it just needs to be USB-connected (and powered on for units that have a power switch)." So now I think there is a real problem of sorts here. I'm going to use Pod Farm standalone and see if that works as expected before trying anything else.
