Hello everyone, I have 2 x POD HD500s, my original road-worn thing with broken pots and jacks etc and a near-new one I have just bought. I would like to somehow link them together so that the new one will control both PODs with the output of both being available at the 1/4" outs of one only. Any tips from anyone...? Hello, So I acquired an HD500 through a trade. It has been a little work as I discovered I was given the wrong power supply for the unit and it would overheat and restart mid-gig. I purchased the correct one and everything has been great. Every once in a while my FS3 freezes up but seems to work after a few minutes. Sometimes it works immediately. I took the pedal apart and blew some dust out and it hasn't really given me any issues. All has been well EXCEPT today=( I booted up my HD500 and the entire bottom row of footswitches were not working at all. I immediately thought that it sounded like a software issue or the ribbon connecting the bottom portion was disconnected or something. So, I took it apart again and everything seemed fine. The strange thing? I reassembled the board and googled for about 10 additional minutes. I plugged it back in and the switches work perfectly. The firmware is up to date and I just want to know: Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what the hell is happening? How can I rectify this and avoid this issue in the future? I appreciate any comments ahead of time. Thanks guys, Beau

So... I'm a little new to this equipment:) I currently have a Line 6 half stack (Spider 2 150w) and a Marshall MG half stack. If I purchase one of the Line 6 Pods (looking at XT Pro).....am I able to output to both of the amps simultaneously.....or can I only output to one amp. Sorry if the answer is obvious.....I've looked through the online manual....but the answer wasn't jumping out at me:) Thanks!! Jamie

Hey guys, I recently bought a Pocket POD and had it shipped overseas. I'm currently deployed and figured it would be easier than having an actual amp here. I wanted to maybe record onto my laptop, but I know you can't via USB and also unless I buy a speaker to plug into, the laptop mic isn't much use. Are there any ways to record directly into my laptop without buying a soundboard and things like that? I used to work at a recording studio when I was younger, but that was years ago and we had tons of equipment. Now I'm pretty limited on both equipment and space. I'd like to have direct access from the POD to the laptop to get the raw sound from the POD instead of recording into a mic. I appreciate the help.

​Hello everybody! I'm new here and new with my UX1. I'm so far very happy with it. I have been searching swells packs for worship, but it seems the UX1 doesn't have that.. Am I right? No such/similar effects? I would appreciate if anybody with experience with this stuff would link me to some patches or addons or anything that could help me out, thank you in advance! veecharlie.

Okay so as a graduation present, I was given a brand new POD HD500x All I have is one xlr cable which fits but doesn't go all the way into my headphones (the 3.5mm) because of the way they were designed to have a skinnier cable (but still 3.5mm) fit (they are skull candy crushers) Anyway, I use reaper and FL studio (not both at the same time, just alternate) and I want to record, and I set up the pod with my computer and got everything installed and the tone editor, but you see when its connected via usb my computer playback and recording devices are switched too it meaning I can't hear a damned thing even through reaper, so I get no playback of what I record, and even after I disconnect everything i still don't get any playback. If I set the playback device to my headphones as default and leave the pod as defaut communications, I can hear everything from my computer just fine, but I still can't hear my guitar through the pod. I did think of routing it through an amp and then back to my computers input, but I have a horrid motherboard that doesn't handle impiedence very well. I know this because I use to record with Guitar Rig 5. Basically, I'm looking to see if there's something I'm doing wrong, or an alternative because I'm impatient and have to wait a few days before I can go out and get a 1/4 jack adapter Shouldn't you just connect it with usb and everything is fine? In Reaper, I set the sound drivers to Asio and selected the Pod's drivers so the input is proper it just seems the output of the sound still goes to the pod? -
I bought a used POD X3 Live some time ago, but was never able to get any sound out of it. The outputs seemed completely dead—no hum, hiss, or anything. I just now reinstalled the latest firmware (not an update, just a reinstall) and I can finally get sound, but it still behaves very strangely. When I switch to patch A, B, C or D, the LED next to the pedal indicates Volume mode, but no sound comes out in any pedal position. If I manually click the pedal into Wah mode, sound comes out, but the pedal doesn't affect either the Wah or the Volume! I found some online discussion of problems with the pedal, but nothing definitive. Anybody know about this?

Is there any way to restore the factory presets or (reset the Hd 400? Mine came with a. Broken preset toggle button I can get totheaction and it says press (enter) and the enter button happeneds to be the preset button that was broken before I bought it

Suddenly one day, my Delays and Reverbs and any effect I place post FX Loop no longer work. The buttons respond, but the audio is not changed. If I move the effect block before the FX Loop, it makes some audible change but is quite lollipop. I am using the 4CM and it was working, and now isn't. Is there a setting I may have accidentally changed or has anyone else has this problem? Thanks, Greg.

If you have had the Pod Desktop unit (the black one, Pod HD), how does the Firehawk compare. I've heard someone say that it has pretty much the same effects, just as a foot pedal version. I have the desktop unit, but really like what I'm reading review wise, of the Firehawk. Thanks!

My POD HD 400 automatically activates the "preset" knob which I use as a Reverb knob for my effects. It doesn't only modify the amount of effect by taking it to 99% instead of the 10% I usually have it set up, but it even changes the kind of reverb (I usually use the "room" reverb, but it goes to "plate" on its own). This is the first time it happens. I tried updating the firmware and the flash memory with the Line6 Monkey, but the problem is still there. What else could I do to solve this problem? Have you heard of something similar on other Line 6 products? Thanks in advance for your help on this.

I am interested in hacking an old Pod (or whatever) to provide a simple 1U (or smaller) unit that can be midi controlled. Basically it's a way to build my Variax VDI Idea so I don't have to wait for Line 6. What is the smallest / most hackible Variax controller that can work with my JTV and output both mags + model? Can you order just a mainboard from Line 6? This would be just for controlling the models and providing both feeds as inputs to another system. -
You guys need to check these out... Barefoot Buttons. I recently purchased my Firehawk and have difficulty hitting the back row of buttons without accidentally pressing the first row beneath it. After a little research, I found these little guys. Incredibly and artfully manufactured. They cost about $10 each (including shipping). A total lifesaver for live performance. So I'm trying to find out if there's a way of using my old floorboard as a midi controller for my MAC (logic/mainstage). Obviously it sends some sort of signal over CAT5 which I could hook up to my MAC but is there any way to get the 2 talking? Anyone??

I'm trying to use midi triggers with my POD HD bean. like at a certain time it'll go to a certain effect. is this available with the bean? i read about gearbox. i need more help...

Just installed the line 6 monkey on my new computer to try and record some more and before I did anything I had to install the Line 6 drivers v4.2.7.6 installers, Line 6 v1.72 installer and the POD HD300 edit v2.02 and during the installation of one of those my studio monitors cut out, I tried restarting my computer and even tried getting audio out of just my computer and other speakers and I'm not getting any audio at all and I don't know what the lollipop is going on. help??

So, I'm on a tight budget but am looking for a way of creating a foot controller for my Mac MainStage rig. I've got a Line 6 long floorboard and am wondering whether I could hook it up to a POD, then via midi into the Mac. Then use the lovely pedals and buttons to control MainStage. Anyone got any experience or knowledge on this? -
Hey everyone! New Line 6 owner here. Later this week I'm going to be doing a trial run where I use my HD Pro X live to a PA system and then run the dry-out signal into my conventional amp for on-stage volume. Does anyone know if the Dry Out is an isolated output in the sense that it can prevent ground loops from occurring via an isolation transformer (or similar)? I don't want to drag all the gear out only to find that linking the Line 6 to a real amp could cause a ground loop and some nasty sounds because of it. Thanks! :)

Hola, tengo un problema hace 1 semana mas o menos en que la pantalla de mi PodHD500x no tiene brillo o tiene muy poco, no se que hacer, no es un porlbme de contraste, es como si la pantalla no tuviera luz, que podria ser? se puede arreglar?

Does anyone else have an issue with the POD HD Pro X (or other POD versions) overwriting patches seemingly randomly? This has happened to me on multiple occasions and it's kind of annoying when the only way to get the patch back is to restore it to defaults. I don't want to have to keep doing this. It seems like it happens when switching from one Set List to another, but there might be other factors, and it happens so sporadically that I am only just now coming to this conclusion after having the device for almost 3 years. For example, say I'm in the "User 2" on patch 5D. Then I switch to the "Best of HD" setlist and the 5D from "User 2" will now be the 5D there. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a solution for it? It's really annoying and seems like something that should be patched.
