  1. I have a Spider Jam III and absolutely love the "Soil" preset on it. As you can well imagine, a 75watt combo is not sufficient for any moderate venue, so I would love to be able to export/import that specific preset (or all if there is some constraint) to either my POD HDPROX rack unit or my POD HD500X pedalboard. I have played around with audibly trying to get something to sound like this on the POD units but am not really happy with my results. I have not found anyway to export the Jam presets and/or if they are portable even if I could. Perhaps someone has already done this porting (line6)? Thanks in advance.
  2. I picked up a Beatbuddy drum pedal and I have it plugged into the POD HD500x through MIDI. The problem I'm facing is the time clocks are off by .08 bpm. Does anyone have any thoughts to calibrate or correct the time clock sync?
  3. I plugged the HD500 into the Spider Jam Aux and was practicing some clean and distortion riffs with the Solo-100 Clean amp model and a plate reverb and added the Line 6 Drive model before the amp and a volume pedal after the distortion model to adjust the volume of the distortion before the amp model. The distortion and volume pedal are toggled with FS2 and the reverb toggled with FS3. I didn't change any settings on any of the models except the max volume of the volume pedal model which ended up being 56%. Now I know it's a simple thing and probably common knowledge but the sound was just so good I had to say something, lol. I was using an Epiphone Special II (humbuckers) with the guitar volume at max and settings in and on the pod were as follows: Input sources were input 1=Guitar and input 2=Variax, Guitar IN switch set to normal, guitar in Z (Auto), "Line" setting for the 1/4" L out, Output mode=Studio Direct, global EQ off, the master volume I had set to 10-11 O'clock and it was pretty loud for practicing. Spider Jam settings were: Aux EQ Tone stack all at noon, Delay and reverb off, I forget what the compressor setting was but I'm sure it wasn't compressing much, the input setting was 0 Db and the master was maxed. 4. Tengo un problema con mi POD HD al conectarlo por USB pasa un momento y se reinicia solo, esto solo sucede al conectarlo por usb, he probado distintos puertos usb y pasa lo mismo, alguna sugerencia?
  5. Hi, Recently I updated my system to a beta version of mac osx sierra and because of this I'm unable to use my pod hd bean. Line 6 Monkey is able to determine the device and shows options to update drivers. After updating the drivers there is an automatic restart and line 6 Monkey shows me the same old driver and gives an option to update. Have tried installing the drivers manually from the line 6 website but still the same issue. It is not possible now to downgrade the mac to older OS. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
  6. I recently bought a line 6 pod hd 500x .when i tried looper i was able to record a pattern and when i tried to change the tone to play some lead the tone of the recorded portion changes. please help me
  7. hello i cant get any sound from my guitar. i simplified it and went straight through pod farm i can see the sound bars at top right move when i strum but no sound. im using a pod ux2
  8. Sometimes I wake up at night and ask myself some stupid questions. Here is one of them: "What is the reason for red LEDs on footswitches Bank up/down?" I mean… in what case do they lit up? As a guitarist and singer I am often unsure if I will hit the bank-switches or FS1 and FS5 while playing. Sometimes I accidently kick the bank-switches but wanted the FS. Why didn't they gave them a blue LED-ring to separate the bank-switches from footswitches? Same on the looper and tap
  9. Hi. Is there a list of default cabs per simulated amp? I am working on an extended overview of the HD Model Packs List. If this information is not available I would go through the amps on the HD and write it down.
  10. I am new to the concept of Digital Modeling ... I used individual Boss pedals for years. I understand the basics: Amp head, cabinet, effects paths, pre- and post-amp, etc. I have searched Google and Bing to try and find an explanation for the basic concepts of Digital Modeling for use in live and recording environments. Yes, the search permutations were many and none with a satisfactory results. Can anyone point me to a good article(s) for explaining the basics in using a POD: what is a 'bank' (a group of preset amp heads, cabinets, effects, and effects paths with similar characteristics?), what is a 'scene' (no clue); how are 'banks' and 'scene' groupings related and what is their basic usefulness (again, no clue) with respect to the old 'amp head with matching cabinet, Boss effect pedals, and the pre- and post-amp effects paths? I am wholly aware this is a lame Dummies/Newbies question for nearly all in this forum, but I would have thought there would be at least one article somewhere across the net world-wide that would explain (in Dummies language): 1. What is Digital Modeling, how it's done, and the reason it is a vast improvement over my old school rig? 2. What is a 'POD'? 3. What is a 'bank', what is a 'scene', how are they related in practical live and recording environments, and why is it of more benefit to have and use these tools vs. old-school? 4. etc. Many of us older folks can finally afford building our dream rig, but technology has passed us by to a certain extent. Like nearly all operator's/user's manuals - usually written in house by users - the information provided assumes a certain level of operator/user understanding...which is not always the best for new consumers of 'new' technology. Line 6 has great products (!), but for the non-professionals who enjoy the art of playing and writing (and can afford the product lines [though your pricing is very fair!!!]), I am surprised there is not a comprehensive introduction to 'Digital Modeling and Application in Live and Recording Environments for Old-School Dummies'. Seems this would be a great sales tool...and would save me (and likely many others) from the many unproductive hours of noodling just to figure it out the full concept and rationale instead of actually playing, writing, recording, and the occasional gig...then the operator's/user's manual might actually make sense... I greatly appreciate any info/links/etc. that productively answers this topics questions :) ttrench
  11. So I have just recently bought a XLR microphone for doing livestreams but I want to have control over multi effects in games as well so I can have a reverb while I talk to people to sike them out. The problem is the mic works for chatting live, but not when I am live with Pod Farm 2.0 open. The needles on the meters do not move when not in pod but do once I am in pod but the mic is dead for the computer. All drivers were reinstall so I am at a standstill.
  12. I've recently got problems with a clicking noise when I use my POD HD500X. At first I suspected my guitar, so I made sure everything was tightened properly. It didn't help, and I also noticed that I get this noise from all of my other instruments. It doesn't matter if I use the mono outputs, headphones or use the POD as audio interface. I've tried to reinstall all software with Line6 Monkey, and the problems remain. Here's a video describing my problems: I'd appreciate all kinds of suggestions for solving this :)
  13. Fowney

    No sound

So, I connect everything as per the manual, but I can't get any sound on the Mobile Pod. Can't even use the tuner. Nothing. Even more frustrating having just paid £15 for an in-app purchase, not that I have any idea what I have purchased. So much for "free app with a Line 6 sonic port"!!!

  15. I have a Crate stack and head with an input, insert, and two jacks for a foot switch. Upon research I can see that the Insert jack is for effect pedals, and I need an insert jack or a y-cable (which I haven't gotten to try out yet) I haven't been able to find anything related to these insert jacks and the pod HD500 and I'm wondering if the pod would work if I somehow plugged it into the insert jack and where would I plug the two jacks on the Y side to the pod? Sorry if I don't make sense. I'm not sure I understand how the fx return stuff works on amps and the pod.
  16. Hi all, I've had my Pod HD500 for about a year now and I've noticed that the loop function, all of a sudden, doesnt work! Obviously it used to and I know how to do it, but for some reason, everytime I go to record something, it doesnt play it back . . . Anyone know why?? Any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated, Cheers! Damian
  17. Curious, what's up with the filtering on the download site? I choose HD400 and nearly 80% of all the downloads there are for the HD300 so I have to hover over every sound to see if it's right. Am I correct in assuming that if I have the HD400, no other PODs will work, or can I download other drivers to be able to use previous versions with the 400? thanks in advance for any help. K++-
  18. Hello everyone, I've got the line 6 Pod HD Pro and I want to use it with my Rocktron Midi Raider. If I build my first preset (clean A1: 2 amps, noise gate, chorus (off), delay (off) & tremelo (off))everything wordks fine, can control 3 effect seperatly without a problem. Once I create a second preset (dirty clean A2 sound: FXloop, 2 amps, noise gate, chorus (off), delay (off) & tremelo (off)) and switches between them everythings change. Sometimes preset 1becomes like this 1 amps on , noise gate, chorus (on), delay (on) & tremelo (off) or 2 amps, noise gate, chorus (on), delay (off) & tremelo (on). Same goes with the second preset and so on. Also at sometimes when working with my preset my pod gives a * at the top left. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm not planning on using a Line 6 FBV board because I've got the midi raider and other effects from my wife. When I've looked into this system it said it was controllable by midi but now I've been wondering if I should go with eleven rack or something else. Hope someone could help me out. Sorry for any miss spellings, I'm from belgium so englisch is not my main language. Jeroen
  19. I'm looking at buying a Firehawk FX. However, I'd really like to be able to use some patches that were made for the Pod HD500x. Is this possible? If not this is going to make my decision between the Firehawk and Pod very difficult.
  20. Hi, so I just downloaded POD Farm 2.5 to my Macbook Pro. Before I start explaining my issues, I just want to say that the Line 6 support is absolutely horrible. I called 10 times, because every time i hit the number 2 for customer support, it wouldn't ring, and just say " I'm sorry, I didn't get your response". Okay, so my issue is that I can't get my guitar to work?? (I don't have a mixer, I read that you can do it without one on Mac?) I plugged my amp (Spider IV 30 WATT) into my computer using my ethernet cable, and when i went to turn my amp on, it would turn the amp off until i unplugged the ethernet cable. Then, I used a USB to regular guitar cable, which also didn't work. I'm sure you can tell that i'm not very good at this stuff, but i would like to make this work somehow. Thanks for reading.
  21. Hello guys, I just bought the POD HD Pro X and I have a problem. The patches I downloaded from youtube people (Ola Englund, Fluff) and the patches I bought from a guy that sound awesome in their demos sound very harsh, thin and have no punch at all on my device. (They all used the HD Pro, does that matter? but USB aswell and no post processing) I use a Schecter Hellraise C-1 with active EMGs (and have the PAD button pressed), USB connection, headphones (monitors already ordered) and a PC with WIndows 10 and all Line 6 drivers installed. My settings look like this: 1/12 Utilities (Flash FW: V2.62, USB FW V1.04) 1 FS Mode: ABCD 2 AMP Knobs Display: Momentary ON 3 Looper FS Display: All Views 4 Trails: ON 2/12 Utilities 1 LCD Contrast: 45 2 Tap Temp LED: off 3 AC Frequency: 60 Hz 4 FBV Express: off 3/12 Inputs 1 Input 1 source: Guitar 2 Input 2 source: Variay 3 Guitar in-z: 1M 4 Inputs Setup: Preset 4/12 Outputs 1 Mode: Studio/Direct 5/12 Digital Output 1 Digital Output: Match Outputs 2 Sample Rate: 44,1 kHz 3 Digital Level 0 dB 4 Digital Format: S/PDIF 6/12 Midi/Tempo 1 Midi Channel: 1 2 Midi out/thru: out 3 Tempo Sync: Preset 4 Tempo: 120 BPM 7/12 Variax 1 Variax Control: Preset 8/12 Variax 1 Variax Tuning: N/A 9/12 L6 Link: Audio 1 AMP: left/right 2 AMP left/right 3 AMP left 4 AMP right 10/12 L6 Link: Control 1 AMP 1: AMP A (CH 1) 2 AMP 2: AMP B (CH 2) 3 AMP 3: Midi CH 3 4 AMP 4: Midi CH 3 11/12 Global EQ: on 1 Band Select: Low Cut 2 Frequency: 20 HZ 12/12 Model Packs Standard Model Set please help me :( greetings Paul
  22. For the past three weeks the other guitarist & I have been going amp-less. Last Friday & Saturday the sound engineer and I finally came to an agreement as to the closest tonal quality I could achieve. Yet, I have been reading about the POD HD series for as long the family have been in existence. However, having several quality tube amps to use for various venues seemed to make it easier to stick with the past then move to the present. And I have quite an array on my pedaltrain board as well as a Floor Pod Plus I have started to use more regularly. I do like it for recording when I have time to manipulate it in the studio, but live felt very limited. But having GAS ... I have traded in one of my M13 pedals and my Floor Pod Plus last Sunday. Came home with a POD HD500X. Thank God I understand computers as well as music. It is amazing! Already had the opportunity to read, watch videos, read some more, watch more videos, jump in, make mistakes, correct mistakes, start over ... OK you all get the picture. Can't wait for the next practice and gig! Looks like I have been assimilated! Dennis
  23. Hi Guys!! i was trying to understand the 4 cable method, and actually did, but the problem is that i cant find instructions for my gear. i have a POD HD500 for a while and i recently bought a engl power amp (2 x 50), that's fine because i was using the POD as Pre amp, the cab is stereo compatible so i use the 2 inputs. the problem was when i get the pre engl e530. i want to know how to make the 4 cable method in this case (if it can) to keep using the POD just for effects. gear: - pod hd500 - engl e530 pre - engl e840/50 power - laney gs412l
  24. Hi, I've encountered an audio output problem with my POD X3 Bean - it is connected to my PC via USB with all the latest drivers and utilities installed and updated. The thing is, that Pod Farm gets my guitar signal and indicates that there should be output sounds coming through, but I can't hear a thing. Is there a way to redirect the output to my system's default output (speakers)? I don't have enough cables to make a L/R setup from the POD to my PC, so the USB is my best chance. I didn't hear any of the POD's output sounds when I was messing with ASIO, either - same thing with the Control Panel -> Sounds, although I could hear the signal only when I checked the "Listen to this device" box, with enormous latency. So it's definitely getting and giving a signal, though I have no idea how to get the output playing through my speakers. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  25. My HD pro has started this thing where regardless of whether I use speakers or headphones there is a crackling sound in the left output every few seconds during playback and recording. Need advice ASAP!
