  1. Does Line6 or anyone have the specifications sheet for all the Ins & Outs on the PodXt Live? Thanks
  2. Hello Line 6'ers Sound engineering is not my forte! And that's an understatement... Due to problems with my SSD, I had to reinstall Windows 10. The problem I have now is that I have a lot of latency. This is my configuration: I play a Variax 700 guitar that is connected to my PodXT Live via the RJ45 connector (Variax cable). The left and right output jacks of the PodXT go through a mini stereo jack in the standard sound card of my PC, so that I can play through the speakers of my PC. That worked fine in the past, but as said, there now appears to be a huge latency problem. I have installed the ASIO4all V2 driver, but I don't remember how I could configure it in the past to get rid of that latency... The driver does not appear automatically, I have to start it manually in the Program Files folder, is that normal? However, I also bought a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4. Wouldn't it be better for me to connect my PodXT Live through that USB audio interface, and if so what is the best way: through the two line inputs on the back or the inputs on the front? And will that solve the latency problem? The Focusrite's outputs go to the same PC speakers. Can someone put me on the right path?
  3. Hello! I'm now the happy owner of a POD XT live unit, and I'm enjoying it very much. Unfortunately, I haven't found a single place (and I went through the user manual in detail) where the list of default tones is detailed. I would like to look up a document (pamphlet, card, cheat sheet, whatever), looking for the traits of the sound I'm looking for, in order to locate it easily, instead of going through all the voices, bank by bank, trying to remember (or jotting on a napkin) the ones I might be interested in. Does anyone here now of some resource that could be useful to me? Thanks in advance.
  4. I love the simplicity and tone of the Bass PODxt Live, thus I'm still carting it to every bass gig I play at. However, I also have the M9 and happened to plug the bass into it with the Sub Octave Fuzz...it was a life changing moment. All the fuzzes and distortions on the Bass PODxt sound thin because you can't run an effects chain and a clean bass chain simultaneously to maintain the low end lost in the distortion effects. But sweet baby of chaos...that Sub Octave Fuzz is more doom than Conan the Barbarian after a two week bender. Now, to keep with simplicity, is there a way I can upload the Sub Octave Fuzz model into the Bass PODxt Live? Is there an update? A hack, I dare say? I don't want to mess up the signal chain trying to squeeze the M9 before the PODxt Live. Much obliged for your help, RS
  5. Every time I go to try to download a tone on editor it shuts down the java and in turn shuts down my editor. Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue? I would really like to use the custom tones. Thanks.
  6. Has anyone hooked up a JTV 69s to a PODxt Live pedal? I've read that there is limited compatibility between the two, but haven't found documentation on what the limitations are. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.
  7. Any advice on this would be appreciated. I am considering buying a used PODxt Live from a guy on craigslist. He is not the original owner. So, the current owner never bothered trying to activate the device with Line6 and just used it as-is. He does not know if the original owner ever activated it. If I buy this, I need to be able to get the proper software for configuring the pedal. Does anyone know what I can do if the pedal is still activated under the original owner's name? Thank you!
  8. I use a PODXT Live to run 2 amps (left and right). Sometimes the amps will cancel out each other, meaning that one amp will stop working. If I pull the cable out of either channel and push it back in both amps start working again. I had this problem with my older xt live so I bought another one. After about 2 years I am having this problem with the new one too. I am running the Champ form the LEFT output and the Roland from the RIGHT output. Any ideas? 9. Hey everyone, Hopefully this isn't frowned upon on the forum (my apologies if it is!). So i got my Helix today :D and sold my Hd 500 and XT Live to the local Music-Go-Round. I tried to explain the whole model packs/registration deal, but they really didn't care  .....long story short, i have the following model packs if anyone is interested: HD - Fully Loaded Bundle XT Live - Collector's Classic and Metal Shop Thinking half price. Thanks, Steve
  10. Hello Folks, I have Line 6 POD xt Live for few years, it worked wonderfully in Windows 7, then when I upgraded to Windows 10 it stopped working. It seems like there are no recent drivers to support POD xt Live in Win 10 although Line 6 knew of Microsoft's new OS coming out in 2015 July 27th or so. They had ample time to come up with drivers to support & test the new operating system. I remember way back, when Windows 7 was the new OS, Line 6 didn't update their drivers to support that OS until months & months later, it seems like it's happening again. Why do we as a customer (whether using older devices or newer) have to wait for compatible drivers from Line 6, Microsoft didn't release the final version today, they had number beta releases, and I'm sure Line 6 had the access of developing a compatible drivers to accommodate their devices and their customers so it will work. If there is a driver version for Windows 10, device for POD xt Live, please share that info with me, as I didn't see it. It seems the latest driver is from 2013 and it says Windows 10. However, 2013 is 2 years ago, how about a latest one like 2015? I look forward to anyone from Line 6, as well as anyone on this forum to comment on this subject. Thank you and best.
  11. I purchased a xt live and want to find out what patches are on it..how do I do that. Thanks Allen
  12. Hello Everyone, I'm Jon, and I'm making my first newbie post. Thanks for having me over. I was wondering if it would be possible to transfer tones/patches from my PODXT Live, to my Spider Valve MKII? I know that typically, you can't transfer across different platforms, but I thought I would ask if maybe anyone has tried it, either by MIDI, or other method? Thanks, Jon Current Line 6 Gear; POD 2.0 bean, (2) POD Pro 1.0, (2) PODXT Live, Flextone III, Spider III, Spider Valve MKII, (3) Floor Board, (2) FBV Shortboard MKI, FBV Express MKII.
  13. I still own a PODxt Live (and separate expression pedal), both still in pristine condition. B) I WANT to buy an AMPLIFi 150 for all its creamy goodness, as a major upgrade to my current practice amp. Can't wait to demo the amp at the nearby Guitar Center. I'm NOT crazy about also immediately buying a new FBV Shortboard MkII or other new foot controller / expression pedal to access the AMPLIFi's 100 onboard presets (when the Android device is not in play). I've already downloaded the new AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 (Android) app. Tested one side -- mobile phone only, without the LINE 6 hardware in the room. My new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is not yet listed as officially "supported", but automatic music library recognition/acquisition, tone discovery, creation and editing all work like a charm, smooth as butter -- GREAT JOB LINE 6 !!. QUESTION: Can my PODxt Live's foot switches (BANK UP / DOWN and A, B, C, D) control the AMPLIFi's 100 onboard presets in the same manner that they control the PODxt's onboard presets? In other words, can the PODxt be used ONLY as a foot controller for the AMPLIFi, adding/subtracting nothing from the AMPLIFi's signal chain? If so, what are the required connnections? Firmware updates? Thanks in advance to ANYONE who has a reliable answer! Cheers!
  14. Hi, does anybody have the "Amp model sheet" and "FX sheet" that used to be at the vetaville site? This is the link, but I guess they don't host the files anymore: http://www.vettaville.nl/page.php?id=80 I'd appreciate it if you could send them to my email, aetguitars at outlook.com Thanks!
  15. This is my first post so if I do anything wrong, I'm sorry before hand. I got a PODxt Live from a friend of mine who said I would need it more than him. I've got POD Farm 2 a while ago and used PODxt Live's usb input and processed it through POD Farm to get my tone. Before hand I used a First Act usb cable to record that gave raw guitar sound. I processed that into POD Farm and I got alright results (It had some noise to it but I just bit the bullet on that) but with PODxt Live, when I turn amp, noise gate, eq (basicly everything except for raw guitar) off, it sounds a lot softer and the sound of the clean is "crispier" (like crunchy-ish) and the distortions dont really have much emphasis as they did before hand. I of course googled the problem and spent about 2 hours watching videos and reading forums and manuals but didn't get much or any desired results. I won't say what I found because they are probably just going to make explaining the problem worse but if anyone can explain to me how to possibly fix this issue you would be helping a fellow musician greatly. Thanks again for reading! *P.S. the program I am using is Mixcraft 6 and my OS is Windows 7 (32 bit) if that helps at all
  16. Tengo una PODxt Live y me han dicho que puedo descargarme sonidos de otros guitarristas y usarlos, pero no tengo mucha idea de como hacerlo. Ayuda! :(
  17. I had my amp in my car which was blown away in the May 20th tornado so I'm starting from scratch. I hope this makes sense, I have read that when using your PODxt Live through an amp you get the amps tone a little bit and that you can adjust the amps EQ setting to make it so the amps tone doesn't show as much. Is there a Line 6 amp or any other brand of amp or speaker cab that you can just have the PODxt Live's tone be 100% pure?
