  1. I just discovered the polycapo functionality in my Helix and I read that it can take up quite a bit of processing power. I have created two snapshots with my normal tone settings and a polycapo block in the chain. One snapshot lowers my pitch by 1/2 step, while the other lowers it by 1 whole step. This seems like a great solution for quickly drop tuning my guitar when necessary between songs. I am curious if this setup consumes processing power at all times even when not using these snapshots, or only when the polycapo snapshots are engaged? Any color on this issue or related topics about the polycapo function is appreciated!
  2. Hello Helix Gurus! I'm trying to use the Poly Capo in order to make my guitar that tuned for D standard to sound like a guitar tuned in C standard. I decreased the interval by 2 but instead of it sounding like a guitar tuned for C standard it sounds lower but the are harmonies with each chord or not I play. Is there a setting I'm forgetting to set or am I completely misunderstanding how to use Poly Capo. I did follow a tutorial on You Tube it seemed to work for them. Why not me! haha I attached a screen capture of my configuration. Hopefully somebody will see some simple mistake I made. Thank you!!
  3. I've been fooling around with the pitch shifting options a lot, and thought y'all might enjoy this preset. If you're not familiar with Nashville tuning, it has the same 1st and 2nd strings as a regular guitar, but uses the octave-higher strings from a 12-string set for the 3rd - 6th strings. This creates a bright, present sound that's been used on a number of hit songs in both rock and country . A Nashville tuning part is usually layered with a standard rhythm guitar part, so this preset mixes the dry guitar and the "faux" Nashville tuning sound. It's not totally authentic, because the 1st and 2nd strings are an octave higher too. Then again, if it was possible to do that with a regular guitar, maybe that's what Nashville tuning would be using. This preset is designed for the bridge pickup, and strummed chord parts. I hope you enjoy it! NashvilleTuning.hlx
  4. Hi friends! I hope everybody is doing well :) I recently recorded a new instrumental track with the polycapo set to -7 (A). I used Archon / greenback 25 for rhythm and Placater / gb 25 for lead parts. I hope you'll like it :) Stay safe and positive
