I'm trying to power my HX one with my Joyo 2 power bank but it only briefly powers on before turning back off again. Any ideas why? Or any recommendations for a new power bank that will work! Thanks!

Just bought the Pod Go. I have three X3 Live units. Will the X3 power supplies work with the Go?

EDIT . . . OK, so I found one on ebay. But it's different from the one I had. It has a 1/4" and an XLR input. Looks nearly identical. But the one I had, had an XLR button and a 1/4" buttton for toggling between them so I could go from my amp to the PA for acoustic models. The one I found only has the power button on the right side. Not the 2 A/B buttons on the left. Anyone know how you go between the amp and PA/XLR to 1/4"? Anyone know why I cannot find a Line 6 Variax Cabled Power Kit anywhere? Most sites don't even list them anymore. Some list them as unavailable.

Hello everyone. I'm a owner of hx stomp for 2 weeks. Really like it, using it for home records. The question is: I found some sale announcement that there is a stomp for 135 EUR (that's in Moscow), but seller tells that device suddenly stopped to work and he can't switch it on. Just blinking screen. Can anyone give me a prompt? What it can be and is there any reason to buy it and try to repair? Or it's a serious damage and better forget about it. Yuri.

Hi everyone ! I just need a little information for the helix control. On the user book they tell us to put a power supply (the line 6 DC-3G) with the helix control if the Cat Cable is too long. But i can't find it anywhere. Does the power supply of the pod HD 500x works ? I have this amazing amp with a user friendly interface, but after warming up, about 30 min to an hour, the power turns off and on by itself. Does this sound like a tube problem, a power supply problem or what? I love this amp but I can’t depend on it! Help!

Does anybody know if the Pod Go can be used with the PX-2g power supply? The power supply for the Pod Go has an end "wall-wart", making it hard to use on a power strip. It is also stupidly short. I used the PX-2g for my Floor Pod Plus and was wondering if I should take that out of storage to use with my Pod Go. I haven't checked the specs and was hoping somebody else had.

Hi Line 6 team ! I have my HX effects for like 2 years and I play with it on all of my Pro Gigs (I'm a French Professional guitarist) This is a super versatile muti-effect, I love the ergonomy of this unit and the Stereo is insane ! So, today my Power Supply Line 6 DC-3h doesn't work anymore (RIP power supply :( ) and I can't find any dealers on France and europe to sell me the exact same model.. Where do I find this power supply ? Or can I switch with another brand with the same spec as the DC-3h power supply ? The trick is that I have a gig in 5 days so I must quickly find a solution for this bad situation ! Thanks for giving you one of the best multi-effect on the market ! Have a nice Day ! Hi. I stepped on the barrel of the power supply for my HD500. It broke. I found what I THOUGHT was the right size barrel to replace it, soldered it on to the existing power supply. It reads 9v and the center pole is negative. HD500 does not power on. So... Is there a way to user a multi meter to test the HD500 itself without supplying power to it? It's my backup pedal now, I can't imagine playing without my Helix, but I could really use it for teaching and backup. And I doubt it's worth sending in, I could most likely buy another one cheaper than having it fixed by an authorized service center. I can solder and have actually replaced the model selection knob on this already. But it won't fire up. Any clue? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello dear HX Stomp users, i've noticed in the HX Stomp manual that Line 6 is insisting on using their own power supply for the HX Stomp. But since it's supposed to be used with a pedalboard around other pedals, i was wondering if some of you are using your own power supply (from your pedalboard), and if so did you encounter any problems with that ? After a year of being frustrated between my love of my HX FX and my annoyance with a board that was over sized to accommodate varying power supplies, I discovered that the True Tone 1 Spot Pro CS6 will power the HX FX. Previously I was using the same pedals as shown below, but on a Pedaltrain PT-1 with a rat's nest of splitters and short extension cords below to cope with plug blades in 2 orientations (you can't plug the adapter from the MXR supply and the Line 6 into the same strip and put it under the board. So now I have my HX and a few choice pedals on a Pedaltrain METRO 20! The power supply fits under the board, doesn't require a voltage doubler, and the CS6 comes with all of the cables you need (Line 6 and polarity reversal; the L6 plug switches polarity, but you have to switch it back on the HX). So good. Truetone's website says that it will work because it's a different kind of PSU (I think it's switching instead of transformers, you can look up the video for their explanation). While the port says 500 mA, it will allow the unit to draw more. They have to list a rating for testing and approval to sell it, but it will allow the HX to draw what it needs. Been using it about a month. No heat issues, no quirky behaviors. So happy to have a nice small rig now.

Dear all, In front of me a DT50 guitar amplifier. The problem is that the unit works fine for minutes or hours and then plops and starts to hum at 50hz. The result is no sound. The tubes are goed and they stay on. After some searching i found the +5Volt_pot is gone. You can find it next to the digital volume chip MPC4241T. Further investigation tells me that the power comes from the voltage regulator U1 so this might be the problem. After some extra tests this was not the case. The voltage regulator is fed with 9,5Volt by the diodes 1N4002: D26, 27 28 and D29. D27 was defect and sometimes lost conductance. After spraying with cold spray it started working again. I changed them with new ones (i replaced all of them) and the voltage regulator to be on the safe side. Now it works again. Hope this may help others. Will a Strymon Ojai or R30 power supply handle both the HX stomp and HX effects using a couple of current doublers and 2.1 —> 2.5 adapters (without issue)? Is there a power supply anyone recommends? EDIT: Strymon Ojai R30 works perfect powering both. Also, I used 2 of these (one for each device) to avoid using the barrel adapter. I am adding a Relay G30 receiver to my floorboard. I would like to use one of the commonly available 10'-20' low-voltage extension cords to run power from the G30 receiver on my floorboard to its too-short factory-supplied power cord, which will be plugged into a power conditioner behind my amp. Two questions regarding this setup: 1. Is there any problem with, or wiring specifications required for, using a low-voltage power cord extension with the Relay receiver's power supply transformer and cord? and, 2. Since the extension cord will be carrying low DC voltage, can I run it parallel to (or even touching) the shielded instrument cable that connects my floorboard to my amp, safely ignoring the usual signal interference concerns that come with running a full-on 120V power cord too close to an instrument cable? Hi there, new to the forum since there's a problem that's been killing me for some time ago. In fact, I've just returned from the technical support and paid about 100 € (that should be a new unit, for lollipops sake) and the problem will persist even though they said that it worked perfectly. My PC recognizes the signal of my XT Live unit when I plug it through the USB. I've been playing with several knobs and it won't record anything but a noisy tiny chirping even when I turn the volume of my guitar to the max and play with different controls likewise. I've read plenty of FAQ and tutorials and I don't find the way out of this hell. I've flashed the unit, reinstalled drivers, returned to default settings to no avail. I thought that the power supply might be the problem, since I bought a cheap one through eBay that was listed as for specific use of this very unit, but its input is AC and the output DC, so I don't really know..., if that was the problem, is there any reliable site to get the real deal? Greetings, I've searched the forums and net for some resolution on this issue, and I have seen several with a similar issue. I'm just getting some conflicted information and wanted to see if anyone here can help me pinpoint the problem. I purchased the HD500 used from a private seller. It has worked fantastic so far (aside from this issue and the FS3 sometimes deciding to take awhile to work...but that's another story). I took the pedal to band practice and gave it a go after installing a few patches from the EDIT program. I left the power supply plugged in for most of the practice, which lasted a few hours. During the last hour, the pedal powered off, then immediately rebooted. It would be good for a few minutes before rebooting again. The time between reboots was seemingly random. The room was quite warm and I noticed the power supply was extremely hot to even hold. I chalked it up to overheating and thought that I could unplug it in between sets to rectify the issue. Played a gig Friday at a nice large stage/club and it performed fine (unplugging between sets). I played at a smaller (and probably warmer) venue Saturday and again unplugged the pedal between sets. The pedal rebooted twice during the last set. The power supply seemed pretty hot once again. I've read something about holding down left on the directional pad as the pedal boots up, but I honestly haven't tried it as I'm still pretty new and don't know exactly what that does. I don't want to look at deleting everything and starting over (even though my patches are backed up on HD500 EDIT). I've ran the pedal through Monkey and everything is up to date. Have I singled out my issue to a simple power supply replacement? Any advice would be great and appreciated! I LOVE this thing...don't want to go back to my Digitech Rp500:(

I own a DL4...I am looking into new power supplies for my board. Will the Strymon Zuma power supply be able to handle the DL4? Hi Guys, My old power supply on my HD 500x was cutting out, so I ordered a new one from Line 6. Now, the power supply gets very hot, and the unit continually restarts. I did the whole 'press the left directional button while restarting the unit' trick, connected it to my Mac, and updated the firmware, flash memory, etc. It was ok for about an hour, then the POD crashed my Mac 4 times, lost a bunch of my preset patches, and now whenever I connect it to my Mac, the Mac immediately crashes. Anybody else experience anything like this? Thanks, Brad

Hi, my hd 150 is completely broken. I did measure the internal power supply and I'm a bit confused on the output values: only one of the red lines does show 9v the other is 0v. (Both the blue lines show 34V each) Should the red lines have 9v each or do I need to search further? Thanks Roger

I have a medium large pedal board with a few 'dirt' pedals, and which had a Line6 M5 for the rarely used effects such as rotating speaker. All the pedals use an isolated output 9v supply, and hum and noise is at very reasonable levels, all things considered. However, when I put the M5 in line (using its own independent power supply), I get an awful(!) hum from the gain pedals when they are engaged. If I disconnect the M5 power, the hum goes away (M5 still inline with the other pedals). I tried two different supplies for the M5, with no apparent difference in noise level, and the hum is there even with the M5 in idle/bypass mode - it just has to be powered up. I'm scratching my head wondering what might cause this. Any ideas?

Hey guys. I want to buy Floor POD Plus from a guy, but he has no power supply for it. I wanted to buy 9v AC 2000mA adapter for it, because i read that it's the default power supply for this POD, but it's expensive in here. Can I use an adapter with less miliampers than 2000? Like 1300 or smth? I can't find any information about this on the internet.

Dear Line 6.. I dont know if this is the appropriate place to place this feedback but I also wanted to share it withother new users of the HD500X who may have shared my experiences. First of all I am a positive person, so everything I say here is with "good intent" I feel that Line6 is a leader in the modeling technology field, I also liked the networking and communication they had with their customers so "that is why" I pulled the trigger and purchased a HD500X 3 days ago. About me: I a pro musician (electric Guitarist) who plays over 200 shows a season. I have been playing for 46 years, I am somewhat well versed with digital gear (at least not a novice) and up till this point have used rack gear, Marshall JMP1 tube preamps , marshall 20/20 stereo power amps and Digitech rack FX's.. I was very very happy with my sound and always got loads of complements from fans and peers who loved my guitar sound. Due to the constant traveling my gear was getting banged up on the road so I wanted a new lighter weight compact "good sounding" setup so I decided to pull the trigger and by an all in one modeling processor. I was going to buy an AXE FX until I surprisingly discovered that everyone who sold or used and AXFX had a very irritating chip on their shoulder and this turned me off to that whole Fractal Audio Genre...later for that ... The line 6 stuff seems more user friendly and the retail people involved were friendly and helpful so I took the plunge and bought one.... I want to give the Line 6 guys some feedback on hows it going so far so you can use this information in your future R+D and product and software designs... Also anyone else (fellow Line 6 user who may also have similar views) is welcome to post on this thread as well... Okay lets start... Adapter::::The first thing that the customer touches when they first try out their new bought product is the "power plug" in this case (adapter) Okay the design used is Terrible, To have the weight of the adaptor hanging over the plug prongs is an invitation to disaster. It can become dislodged easily if accidentally bumped into on a crowded stage interrupting a live performance then you have to wait to reboot the unit etc.... solution: Use an adapter that has three segment 1) a good solid end plug that will fit snuggly into a socket and stay put... 2) a long sturdy wire cable that leads from that end plug to the actual adapter 3) and second long wire that lives the adaptor. This is the "pro way" to do it so that it will survive tours and gigs etc... I found the present adapter and adapter system to be "kinda cheap" and unworthy of such a high end guitar processor. On/off switch :::: ?????? please help me to understand why there is no on off switch on the HD500X? I once was a marketing promotions manger for a huge national distributor in Europe who sold Harman international products. Including DOD rack gear and the DOD rack units had no on/off switches and the customers were complaining so the retailers were retrofitting then with clicking on /off switches to the power cables of the units. Once at namm I asked the Harmon directors "why are their no on/off switches on the DOD rack gear?" and they said "cost reduction"... well I told them that this mindset would eventually kill the brands prestige and in the end thats what happened. I mean how much could a chinese on/off switch be? 10 cents? Please help me to understand why there is no on/off swith on a 500 dollar flagship processor? Ease of use and Programmability:: Okay I am not here to criticize as ı said before I have good intent here to help out by giving you feedback that is usable in designing your new upgrades and products... so I wont go into detail about how difficult the unit is to program... "even with the editor"... I will just give you suggestion about how to make it better... suggestions: * You need and "escape" or "undo" button... you can design that into the hardware of the next generation of products but for now put one on the soft ware screen "where we can see it and don't have to dig for it". * The logic used in the software design is compartmental. Which shouldn't be a problem, but there is no linear path of intuitive logic that takes a novice user from point A to Point B. For example here are my suggestion. Have "a starting point software button that says Blank patch" .. a clean slate to begin and add things... give the user an option to start from absolute zero, or to pick an template algorithm and add on from there. There is a lot more I would want to suggest but I dont want to seem like I am ranting.. because I am not.. I am a Line 6 owner and Line 6 user now... but I will admit that after owning the unit for 3 days I was ready to give it back to the dealer and go with another processor... but then I plugged it into my computer and played the son of plexi patch along with a jam track and really loved the tube like response of the HD software...So I decided to keep the unit and go all the way with it.... Then I used the Monkey software to update the unit and saw the new amp bundles and gruntingly paid the extra 99 bucks for the whole combined bundle... so I sit here looking at all these new amps (no presets included in that 100 dollar bundle which kind of let me down... wished you would have put some presets with the new amps... so I went online and bought the new patches bundle from Glenn DeLaune that uses the new amps in the latest Line 6 update... So all in all I have been just spending money and more money, looking at the absence of the on/off switch, the difficulty of the maze like software and the really flimsy power adapters and saying to myself "I should let these guys know what I think, just like I let Harman international know what I thought about the short coming of their stuff at the time" .. Well the moral of the story is that Harman was huge company that had the signal processing market pretty much sewn up until they started "cutting costs here and there and everywhere" and along the way people got dissapointed ... and along came the new companies that delivered innovation and better performance and these new companies took over the field... one of those new companies is Line 6... :) So I would suggest that you heed the warnings and suggestion of this pro musician who just purchased your unit and was very disappointed with the lack of certain important features like a high quality adapter and an on/off switch and found your software to be "not user friendly enough and at times pretty frustrating"... The only thing that saved this unit from going back to the store this morning was the sound and feel of the son of plexi patch .... Oh ....one final suggestion you should have some "professional working man musicians" make up some "gigging banks" for the guy who wants to buy your unit and do a gig the same night... as it stands now this unit seems more catered to the bedroom guitarist which is okay buy you should make it easier for the working dude to just get up and go to a show "without having to shell out an extra 100 bucks for a software update"... So I respectfully offer these suggestions to you dear friends at Line 6... I took my HD500 power supply out of the gig bag today and noticed that it had decided to split apart slightly. I attempted to squeeze both halves together but they just want to spring apart slightly. It's a few years old but has been carefully looked after, but now I am wondering if I should get another one before this one splits apart completely. I may gaffa tape it together in the short term. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it best for me to buy another official Line 6 HD500 power supply or can anyone recommend a sturdier more road worthy alternative? I am based in the UK so would welcome suggestions of what's best to buy here. Thanks in advance.

I just picked up a used M13 and I love it! I also bought an SKB PS-55 pedalboard that also rocks! The SKB has two 1.3 amp 9 VAC outputs and I'm hoping to power my M13 from one of those jacks so that I don't need to also plug in the wall wart that comes with the M13. I saw some archived comments about this issue, but nothing recently posted about it. Has anyone tried this? Any feedback on how it works? Is the draw of the M13 too much for the 1.3 amp output of the SKB PS-55? One other thing I'm considering is putting a y-cable between the two isolated 1.3 amp 9 VAC outlets to make a 2.6 amp 9 VAC power supply. I'm pretty concerned about this, but I did talk to some of my friends that are electrical engineers and they seem to think that it should work without problem. Of course, it's not their equipment that might get fried if it doesn't work! Any thoughts on the this 2nd possibility? I'd verify that the two power outlets are truly isolated (check continuity between the hot leads to make certain there is no bleed-over there. If someone has considered and tried this, please let me know.
