  1. Hi guys... Firstly, the problem I am having has only happened since I updated to Helix 3.0. So - when I load a new preset and go to snapshot mode, as soon as I press a footswitch for an alternative snapshot, I get the small 'E' icon which suggests I have edited something. any further switching of snapshots doesn't help and the snapshots do not default back to the original settings. Yet, when I go out of the preset and come back into it and go back into snapshot mode again, the 'E' has gone but returns as soon as I hit a footswitch. I have seen other users are experiencing the same issue. Please help with this problem - Thanks
  2. So! I love the Cali Mark IV lead. I think it's one of the best amp models in the Helix. So as I wanted to create a 4 channel preset on my channel and not have a hugely varying sounds when switching, as well as the Mark IV for my lead and rhythm, I decided to use it for clean. I go throught the settings in the amp in the video, but I use LA comp in default setting for compression to make up for using single coils. I also use two Celestion IRs. You can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/j9b5PjDLVpU If you have any questions or want to give a few pointers, go ahead.
  3. hi there - looking for some help on snapshots on the HX Stomp as I can't tell what I'm doing wrong! I've saved a preset with 3 snapshots (see first image). It looks & sounds fine. IMG_3334.HEIC But when I change to snapshot 2, I see a little "E" appear by the preset's name indicating something has changed (image 2). I don't see this happen in online demos. I've read the manual and watched a couple of YouTube videos but feel like I'm missing some setting somewhere. Any suggestions/help very welcome! IMG_3333.HEIC
  4. Hi folks, I am looking for a Rob Caggiano Sound ....its so fat an creamy ....cant find the right words. Any Ideas, Tipps or Patches to share? I tried to model it for months ... get some good Sounds .. but itΒ΄s not similiar to his sound Thx for your support
  5. Hello, I'm new to the Helix and my band wants to do Kyrie by Mr. Mister. He has a very unique sound and I am not adept enough yet to create the sound. Any one want to take it on. Thank you!
  6. Does anyone know of an appendix or document that explains channel presets and when you should or shouldn't use them? For example, what is the difference between BassCab1 and BassCab2, or what is the difference between BassDirect1 and BassDirect2. Martin

Marketplace lets you purchase custom Helix presets and impulse responses (IRs) created by select third-party development partners. You can browse by product or developer, listen to audio examples, and even watch demo videos if provided. Checkout is a breeze and you can pay with either credit card or PayPal. Why was Marketplace created? Our primary goal was to develop Helix as an open platform that will serve you for many years to come. We believe that will be best accomplished by supporting a vibrant, thriving community of third-party developers that continually expand the sonic and creative capabilities of Helix, HX, and now POD Go, products. Can anyone become a Marketplace partner? Our goal is to provide you with high-quality products and a great overall experience. For these reasons, we will carefully curate Marketplace and include only partners that we feel meet those expectations. What kinds of products are available on Marketplace? Marketplace offers impulse response files (IRs) and presets. These products will be sold individually and within collections or bundles, for example multiple impulse response files of the same amplifier with different microphones. The exact contents of each product are described on the respective Marketplace shop page. Can I use the Helix Presets in my POD Go? No, POD Go cannot accept Helix or HX presets. How much do Marketplace products cost? Pricing is determined entirely by the third-party developer, and we expect most products will sell for between $5 and $50. Can Marketplace products be returned? Yes. Our standard 15-day return policy applies. Returned Marketplace products will be deactivated once you log out and back in. Will there be free products as well? Some developers may offer free products for promotional purposes. Please check Marketplace listings on a regular basis. Can I still load non-Marketplace presets and IRs? Of course. Marketplace simply provides a convenient way to purchase additional resources and access them at any time. Will Custom Tone be removed? Not to worry. Custom Tone will still be available without changes. Who provides customer support for third-party products? Please contact third-party developers regarding setup and usage of their Helix presets and impulse responses. Third party contact information can be found on corresponding product pages within Marketplace. Contact Line 6 regarding Helix products generally, and questions involving the Marketplace online shop - including billing issues and difficulties downloading or importing presets and IRs. Which Line 6 products work with Marketplace products? Helix Floor, Helix Rack/Control, Helix LT, Helix Native, HX Stomp, HX Effects and POD Go. Do I need a specific firmware and software version to use Marketplace products? Yes. You need these versions (or higher) to support Marketplace: Helix/HX firmware v2.9 HX Edit v2.9 Helix Native v1.9 POD Go firmware version 1.1 POD Go Edit version 1.1 Will you add support for other Line 6 products, y’know, like Powercab? We cannot discuss future development plans at this time. I purchased a Marketplace item and cannot find the software download. Where do I need to look? You can find all your Marketplace downloads on the β€œHelix Marketplace” page within your Line 6 account. The link to this page is located in the β€œHardware & Software” section on the main account page. We also provide a link directly to this page within the β€œHow to Authorize Your Line 6 Product” email that you receive after any Marketplace purchase. Can I use items purchased through Marketplace with non-Line 6 products? All third-party items sold through Marketplace are copy-protected and require HX Edit software, POD Go Edit software or the Helix Native plug-in to work. For this reason, they cannot be used with modeling devices or software from other manufacturers. How does this copy protection method work? Do I need additional hardware or dongles? Products purchased through Marketplace are automatically activated when imported into HX Edit, POD Go Edit or Helix Native. The activation process requires internet connectivity upon first use. The computer that was used for import gets authorized in the process, and no additional hardware or dongles are needed. How many licenses do I get? Can I share these licenses with others? We allow up to four individual computers to be authorized. If you own multiple hardware units, you can update all units without affecting license count. Finally, licenses are tied to your Line 6 user account and cannot be shared with others. Activation requires internet connectivity. How often will I need an internet connection? You will need to have an active internet connection every time you use a newly purchased product. The connection is needed so that our system can validate your license. Once a product was used at least once, the system remembers its state and will allow usage offline without internet access. I discovered that POD Go Edit, HX Edit and Helix Native require Line 6 account log-in. Why is this necessary? You will be asked to log into your Line 6 account if you work with third party products purchased through Marketplace. Log in is only required for the system to install or synchronize licenses, for example when importing third party Helix presets for the first time*. Log in will not be required if you do not use presets or IRs purchased through Marketplace. * On Windows systems, you may need to be online at all times in order to import and export Marketplace presets and IRs. What are the most common uses for IRs? The most common use for an IR that you will see is to replace a Cabinet model with your own third party Cabinet IR. This allows you to use a third-party sound mixed in with your favorite Helix amp tones. The IR in this case will usually include everything about the cabinet model as part of the sound, including: speaker type, mics used, mic placement, room sound. The other way you might see IRs being used is for the purpose of an acoustic simulator, especially modeling the EQ of an acoustic guitar sound. You may see some of these in your preset packs, or offered by third parties as part of a preset bundle. Can I buy dog food, tequila, or 19th-century expressionist paintings via Marketplace? What? No.
  9. Hey folks! Looking for some help here regarding snapshots as I can't seem to find my specific question in any forums or tutorials... I downloaded a few free presets, and they are great, but were created as individual presets for each tone. (ex. Preset 1 = Clean, Preset 2 = Rhythm, Preset 3 = Lead, etc...) I am wanting to copy those individual Presets, and paste it into one preset utilizing different snapshots, but can't seem to find a way to do this in HX Edit. I currently have my Helix in Snapshot mode, and would like to consolidate these great tones into 1 preset. Is there a quick and easy way? Thank you all for the help.
  10. Hi. is it possible to scroll through presets while still in Β«all bypassΒ» mode? my footswitch setup is: 1 and 2 is preset up and down. 3 is all bypass. but as soon as I scroll up or down the preset is engaged and bypass is no longer on. I would like to scroll without going through all the different sounds. is this possible?
  11. Can I use the POD HD500X as voice processor and guitar processor at the same time? What I mean: 1 preset for the voice and a different one for the guitar? Is that possible in some way? In the case it is, could you tell me how? I can't find a way to do this, maybe is because it can't be done. Thanks
  12. Hi! I've been using the Helix for 3-4 Months now and i really love it. Now i started messing with the whole Snapshot thingy... Basically, what i want to do is: - Switch between 8 presets normally - on one of my presets i want to switch the snapshots i've created - go back to 8 presets again Now, maybe i'm doing something horribly wrong but i can't get those simple 3 things to work properly. What i've done so far: I can switch to 4 snapshots / 4 presets in the global setting, this works perfectly. I can do the normal 8 preset thing. BUT as far as i understand, i should be able to switch between those modes with the "MODE" switch. But everytime i hit the "MODE" switch, ll the scribble strips go black and nothing else happens. If i push the "MODE" switch again, it goes back to 8 presets. I've done a global reset since, but this hasnt changed a thing. I guess there is some setting i am missing and then it should work properly? I would really appreciate if you could do a "step-by-step" explanation for dumb people like me^^ Or just tell me where the setting are that i'm missing... Thanks a lot!
  13. Hi All. I downloaded some patches. Some of them I can't hear. My Helix goes directly to my amp. I downloaded a patch called "everything" from the line 6 website and I can't figure out why I can't hear it through my amp. Regular 1/4 inch from helix to my amp. I can hear other patched but some of them I change the out to 1/4 inch and still no sound. I would live someone to let me know why I can't hear it. totally mute. Grrrrr Thank you all Eric
  14. Hi everyone, First time poster. I have read through the topics here on the forum but it seems like the topic has not been covered. Been using the helix floor for a year now. Great piece of gear! It is in my understanding that using snapshot is the way to go to change parameters with a patch without the ''sound gap'' you would get by switching presets. So I've been using snapshots for in-song changes, and presets for song-to-song (which seems to be common). Until now everything worked fine. I updated to 2.82 lately. I have a couple of presets based on the same ''rig''; the only thing that tends to stay the same would be the amp settings. Effects and snapshot changes. Last week I started to experience a ''sound gap'' (like the one you get when you change presets). Strangely, it seems to be related to when 2 presets are the same, within the setlist. I tried to build the preset from scratch instead of copying it, but as soon as I match the amp settings, I get that problem when I go through the snapshots. I don't know if someone encountered a similar problem, or even if I did explained it well, but if anymore encountered a similar issue, or have a fix... Thanks in advance for your help. English is not my primary language but I'll try to give more details if some of you have question Thank you, CΓ©dric
  15. Hi! I have a Helix LT, a Keith Mcmillen 12 step with Keith Mcmillen Midi expander, and a Roland Integra-7. I am mainly a guitarist, but I use the 12 step as a midi controller to play keys/synth through the Integra-7. Because I have different patches for different songs on both the Helix and the 12 step, I would like to set up my helix to do all the preset changes. So basically what I want to do is to send a midi program change to the 12 step when I select a spesific preset on the Helix, so I don't have to change presets on a lot of devices between the songs in a live set. Does anyone know how I can set this up on the helix?
  16. Okay, another new Helix owner question: I have presets for different songs and, like I'm sure a lot of you are, I'm using this thing only at church. I want to have different presets for different songs, even though I generally use the same sound (amp, drive pedals, etc) simply so that I can have tempos in place for the delays as I can't be bending down to enter stuff in manually every song and don't want to go back to tapping (I'm coming from a TimeLine after all so I'm kinda spoiled). However, there is a VERY noticeable gap in sound between presets. It's quick, sure, but it's still there and blatantly obvious. Anybody have any ways around this? This could very well be a dealbreaker which would really be a shame as I am otherwise loving the heck out of this thing! Thanks, Robbie
  17. Can I restore a single preset from a previous backup? I only see the option for a complete User bank which would wipe out changes made to other presets that I want to keep.
  18. I have had a Helix for at least since 2.0 firmware version. Because I am basically using the factory presets and not creating many presets that are worth saving, I have not done backups when I have updated firmware. I've only just realized that I am seeing new names for presets and some that I have used are no longer available. Does Line 6 regularly change the presets for each firmware update? I'm wondering if I can get the older presets going back to 2.0 without having to go back and reinstall older firmware versions and dong backups, then upgrading again, which I don't even know if it's possible to do. Does Line 6 also remove some amps, cabs, effects, templates, etc? How would I get any of these that have been discontinued? Thanks
  19. Note: The Flextone II was released in 2000 and replaced by the Flextone III in 2003. The Flextone II is now a Legacy Product. Application Q: What are the presets on my Flextone II amplifier? A: The Flextone II are available from the manual download section. If you would like to return your unit to the original presets, please perform a factory reset (see the trouble shooting section). Q: What editing software works with the Flextone II? A: Line 6 Edit allows the deep editing of all the Flextone II presets. Line 6 Edit FAQ Q: How can I control my Flextone via MIDI? A: Please check the Appendix C on your Pilot's Handbook, you will have a list of MIDI program changes and their relation with the Flextone channels. So channel 1A would recall program 1 on your MIDI device. You can either overwrite program 1 on your device with the effects you want to use with channel 1A or you can go to the preset you want to use and internally reassign that preset to MIDI program 1 (if your device offer that option). You can also set the Expression pedal on a MIDI controller to the MIDI CC# you wish to control - for example if you want to control the Delay Mix with it set the CC# to 34. Q: How is the Flextone II different from the Flextone I? Are the older Flextone I amp models changed in any way, software-wise? A: The Flextone II XL has more amp models, more editing capabilities, XLR outs, external speaker outs, improved tone, and an improved power amp stage. The models in the Flextone II are changed from the Flextone I models. The new models match exactly the models in the POD 2.0, so that patches made on one are completely interchangeable with the other. Q: How can I find out which cabinet models are used by default for the amp models? A: Hold down the save and tap tempo buttons at the same time and switch between the cabinet models. The manual button will flash off when the selected cabinet model is passed on the knob. Q: What are the secondary functions for each of the Flextone II's knobs? A: The secondary function for each of the Flextone II's knobs is as follows: DRIVE: Drive Boost on/off BASS: Delay Feedback (how many times it repeats) MIDDLE: Delay Amount TREBLE: Presence on/off CHANNEL VOLUME: Volume Boost on/off REVERB: Noise Gate on/off EFFECT TWEAK: Tap Tempo time Q: How can I control the "Delay Level" on my Flextone II when using the Delay in conjunction with another effect? A: The Delay Level and Delay Feedback can be adjusted on the Flextone II by holding down the TAP TEMPO button and turning the MIDDLE knob for Delay Level and the BASS knob for Delay Feedback. Q: Will the delay feedback on the Flextone II series repeat indefinitely if it is turned all the way up? A: Yes. The delay feedback on the Flextone II series will repeat indefinitely if it is turned all the way up. To turn the delay feedback on the Flextone II all the way up, simply hold down the TAP TEMPO button while turning the BASS knob to 10. Setup/Connections Q: Does the Flextone II have a line out? A: The Flextone II has a headphone jack that doubles as a good direct out. To utilize it properly, you should use a stereo-to-dual mono insert cable and use it as a stereo out into 2 channels on your mixer/recorder. If you need XLR direct outs, you may want to check into a Flextone Plus or XL. Q: Which Line 6 floor controller(s) can I use with the Flextone II? A: Either the FB4 or Floorboard will control the Flextone II, but we recommend the Line 6 floorboard. Please be aware that the Line 6 Floorboard and FB4 are no longer in production but may still be special ordered or found through used gear dealers. Q: Does the Flextone II have an effects loop? A: Yes, the Flextone II has a stereo unbalanced effect loop, located before the Master volume. Q: What is an effect loop used for? A: An effect loop is used for 'line-level' input and output level devices. Many rack mount effect units are line level units, while most guitar effects are 'instrument level' units meant to be run between the instrument and the amplifier. Q: Can I connect an external pre-amp (i.e. Line 6 POD unit) to the Flextone II? A: You can connect an external preamp into the front of the unit or the effects loop return of the Flextone II. Be sure to use a ΒΌ" dummy jack in the instrument input to send the amplifier output to the speakers. Q: How should I connect my speaker cabinet(s) to the Flextone II? A: : Please see the following document (or your manual) for more information on connecting cabinets to your Flextone II. Cabinet Connection and Ohm F.A.Q. Q: What speakers are used in the Flextone II? A: The Flextone II amplifiers shipped with Line 6 "tubetone" speakers, which were manufactured by Celestion. The speakers are 80 watts and either 8 or 16 ohms. See the Line 6 Store for replacement speakers. Registration/Warranty Q: What is the warranty on the Flextone II? A: The warranty on the Flextone II is twelve months from the date of purchase. Q: How can I register my Flextone II? Product Registration F.A.Q. Troubleshooting/Service Q: How can I check the version of software on a Flextone II? A:* Hold down the C button as you power up. The D channel will flash and then the SAVE channel will flash. The number of D flashes = X The number of Save flashes = .X So if the D flashes twice and the SAVE button flashes twice, your version is 2.2. Q: My guitar's sustain is cut off after several seconds. Is there a way to stop this? A: This is likely because of the noise gate on the Flextone II. To turn it off, hold the Tap Tempo button and turn the Reverb knob down. To turn it back on, hold Tap and turn the Reverb knob up. Q: How do I perform a factory reset on my Flextone II? A: The factory reset for a Flextone II is to hold the A B C D Buttons while powering the amp. Q: My amplifier will not store presets anymore. What can I do? A: We use a 3v lithium coin cell battery in the Flextone II to store the user presets, a common replacement is the Panasonic BR2325-1HG. The current battery will need to be de-soldered and replaced with a new battery. If you are not confident in doing this replacement, it should be performed by an authorized Line 6 Service Center. Q: My amp seems to be malfunctioning. What can I do as an end user? Line 6 Amp Troubleshooting Q: Where can I download a Flextone II manual? A: Line 6 Manuals

  21. I have a Spider IV 30 watt. I'm unsure how to save a tone I customized. It think I've saved it to channel A. But I now want to put that tone on B, and then put another custom tone to A, so I can switch with foot controller from A to B. When I press B to save the tone, the amp changes to the factory preset that's on B. I've seen instructions for restoring the factory presets, but little on saving your own. I recall seeing instructions to hold one of the buttons down for 2 seconds to save to that channel. Is that right?
  22. I absolutely love the L6 Helix. It is amazing. I have no regrets about this system at all. However, here is something I reeeeally wish I could do, but I am not sure the Helix can do it. I would pay good money to have it as an option. In the global settings you have to choose whether your device runs all presets, presets/snapshots, snapshots/stomp, all stomp, all snapshots, etc etc etc. However. I wish I could set in the Global settings a combination of as many as I want. For example. I love having lots of snapshots available, but I also like the option of having a boost available when I want it. What if I could have 7 snapshots and 1 stomp which could be a Kinky Boost? That would be amazing! It would also be killer if I could make that choice global, but also have it preset specific. i wish I could have presets that could have any combination of stomps and snapshots. How difficult would this be to add in a future update? It would blow my mind and make this a flawless device (PLUS ADD MORE DSP!). Regardless, I obviously can make-do, but damn. That would be awesome.
  23. Attached to this document is a list of all 200+ DSP presets that are available in the StageScape M20d. M20d presets.pdf
  24. 1. Launch Helix Native inside your DAW. 2. Click on the icon for Helix Native in the lower middle of the app. 3. In the new floating window for the app's Settings, click on Restore Factory Setlists. 4. Confirm that you want to restore the factory defaults and you're done.
  25. Hi, Is it possible to transfer presets/tones from one fx100 to another? Thanks, Sharon.
