  1. I am trying to import some of Jason Sadites presets from the customtone page. I download the .hlx files, and import them from hx edit onto the helix. The tones are loaded just fine, but the bypass/controller assignment does not show up on the actual Helix LT. Is this the intended behaviour (I hope not), or am I doing something wrong. Best
  2. Hello friends! I have a problem that I would like to help me solve. Before I used my M9 and controlled it through my G-Lab Gsc3. I assigned a swtich (example # 1) of my controller and it called me to a scene inside a certain folder on my M9. I could turn a stomp on or off within that scene but at the MOMENT OF ME RETURNING THE SWTICH (# 1) OF MY CONTROLLER THE SCENE BACKED BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL STATUS (I used it in manual save). The point here is that so many times I stepped on my swtich # 1, so many times this recalling that assigned scene. Now, I have made the jump to the HX STOMP and I am very happy with all the midi options, however I can not get my controller to recalling the same preset. That is, if in preset 1A I modify the tap tempo and then step my swtich # 1 (of my controller) it does not call the preset 1A again so the tap tempo does not return to its original recorded state. In the same way with the FS you can assign as stomp or snaps and other parameters. As a detail, my G-Lab has a recalling option which I have activated (since before I used it like that on my M9) but I do not know why the HX STOMP does not work that way. I hope for help with this problem. Thank you!
  3. Hey Guys! I had several requests to break down the Bass Tone used in my recent Line 6 Helix Tone video, "Rectifire Rock." So here it is. I used the Line 6 SV Beast Brt amp model which is modeled after an Ampeg SVT Bright Channel. I used Ownhammer Impulses, specifically OH 410 AMPG SVT-10 PORT which is obviously an Ampeg SVT 4 x 10. Through a little FabFilter Pro Q and a bit of Waves L1 and we have a bass tone.
  4. Hi all, does anyone know a way how to convert presets from e.g. Helix LT to Hx Stomp, without owning an LT? I really would like to try some of the LT presets from Costumtone on.my stomp...
  5. Hi guys, here are a couple of my favorite patches that I'd like to share. I spent quite a few hours to dial them in. They sound really good (at least to my ear) with either my DT880 and my FRFR (ELX200-12P). I uploaded them to line6's custom tone here: https://line6.com/customtone/profile/yingwuzhao Though I have tons of IRs, but I found I can dial in very similar or better tones via a pair of Helix's cabs than any IR I imported. There are 5 clean tones, 1 crunchy and 2 lead tones. Let me know how you like them, and which one do you like the best. Enjoy :-)
  6. Hey guys, I was just wondering (and hoping this wasn't answered already) if it is possible to save a single effect(pedal) as a global preset/instance to be able to quickly recall it in different pedalboard presets. I am thinking of it as having your favorite physical guitar pedal with very specific settings of the knobs. Or a fx plugin chain in your favorite DAW that you always use. Maybe it could be reached through your standard effect selection path? Thanks
  7. So I just got myself a Helix rack and I downloaded the HX Edit software to start messing without having to put my entire rack on the table. But when I open the HX Edit it only lets me access the Preset and Impulse Response, none of the actual preset stuff as you can see in the picture. Am I missing something? Every time I look up the app online I see people using the app with preset editing section. I've looked all over the Line 6 website and google and I can't find anything on this. Help?
  8. I'm super happy with how well the dual guitar harmonies came out.
  9. Hi, i found a picture of Petruccis preset for axe-fx (see attached file). Now, i have the following questions: How to achieve a similar signal chain in Helix native? What effects does he use? What could be the settings? I hope someone could help me. Thank you and best regards, alemas
  10. hi, can anybody give out a song list of the Iconic Tones? thx
  11. Hello, my pod hd500x motherboard crashed and i’ll buy the hx effect, but can someone give me the complete preset of the « vocal synth » by pics, it would be easier i think? thx a lot
  12. Seeing as one can edit pretty much anything on the fly with your foot (which I think is a fab feature) I would have thought one should be able to save any changes with your foot as well. Is there a way of doing this? Am I missing something because its not really practical to have to keep remembering to press the save button or click a Mouse after a rehearsal or performance
  13. Got my Helix yesterday and unfortunately copied a new preset over Factory 2 31D. Anybody who can send me the preset to get my stuff back in the original state? Thxs in advance
  14. Note: The Spider III was released in 2006 and discontinued in 2010. The Spider III is now listed as a Legacy Product. Q: How are the Artist preset banks categorization and alphabetized? A:When looking at the list of the banks in the unit, the banks seem to be broken into four different sections: 1. Albert Lee - Julien K 2. Ash - Volto 3. The Accident Experiment - Thursday 4. Songs 50's - Misc. Fun Each of the first 3 sections (artist banks) is alphabetized. Is there a reason all the artist presets overall aren't alphabetized? The artist banks are categorized by Clean, Dirty and Heavy: 1. Albert Lee - Julien K: Cleaner patches 2. Ash - Volto: Midgainy patches 3. The Accident Experiment - Thursday: Heavily overdriven patches Q: How do I perform a factory reset on my Spider III? Line 6 Device Factory Reset Procedures Q: How do I use the compare mode (to find where the knobs were originally set)? A: Press and hold the Tap button, then turn the Amp Models knob. This activates Spider III's "Compare mode". Now turn any knob other than Amp Model and Master Volume, and the channel lights will tell you whether you need to turn that knob up (Channel A lights) or down (Channel D lights) to match the stored setting. The Channel B & C lights will be lit at the same time once the knob position matches the stored setting exactly. Q: How do I connect the Spider III HD 150 to the Spider Cabinet? A: The Spider III HD 150 is designed to see a load on *both * speaker outputs by connecting the left and the right inputs to the Spider cabinet with speaker cables. Running the Spider III HD 150 into a 4 ohm load may result in damage to the amplifier. Please see the following link for more information: Cabinet Connection and Ohm F.A.Q. Q: Can I use two Spider III cabinets with the Spider III HD 150? A:The Spider III HD 150 was designed to power a single Spider III Stereo Cabinet with a stereo 8 ohm load. Using two Spider III cabs would require a modification to each cab so that they are each rewired to produce a 8 ohm mono load. This modification would preferably be done by an authorized Line 6 service center, which can be located from the Service Center link on the Support page. Q: How do I connect external speakers to my Spider III 150 amplifier? A: You will need to disconnect the internal speakers (covering the dry-solder clips with electrical tape) and connect both external speaker outputs to an 8 ohm (or higher) load. Do not connect just one side, as this may cause a power amp failure. Powering the internal speakers along with a external speakers may cause a power amp failure and is not supported. Q: What type of speaker is used on the Spider III combo series? Spider III 15: Custom 15 (4 ohm) Spider III 30: Celestion G12E50 (4 ohm) Spider III 75/150: Celestion G12P80 (8 ohm) Spider III 120:(2) Celestion G10P80 (8 ohm)
  15. Hi, I just installed new firmware 2.50 for my Helix LT and it looks as though the midi messages sent from the Helix when changing preset are now wrong... When I switch preset, a midi message is sent out but Cubase recognises it a aftertouch? When I playback the midi track Helix won't aknoledge the incoming message (since it doesn't respond to aftertouch) and it won't change preset. Also, If I copy/paste the recorded messages from aftertouch to program change on my midi track in Cubase, the preset changes on Helix happen exactly as they should (which is how I patch the problem so far). Is there something wrong with Helix sending the wrong midi messages since I updated the firmware? Should I try a factory reset? I did try reinstalling cubase (didn't fix it) but I noticed the midi messages being sent from Helix are the same with another midi monitor software... Thank you!
  16. I am having an issue where multiple foot switches are showing multiple assignments > for example, the scribble says - MULTIPLE (3) - but withing this preset, i have only assigned one block to each foot switch. If I enter Signal Flow, and delete each effect one at a time, then hit home, each FS still has an assigment of MULTIPLE (2) or MULTIPLE (3). When I hit the action button, the 'CLEAR BLOCK' is greyed out. How can I clear out everything from a preset with one action?
  17. Ok, here's the deal, On my main preset, I'm trying to send à midi cc command per snapshot (command center, instant 1, midi cc). I program each snapshot with a different value (0 - 7) and then save the preset. At this point everything works fine and helix will send CC commands at each change of the snapshots. BUT, if I happen to make any further changes in the command center (i.e. footswitch assignment) and then save the preset again, all the differents values, which I adressed per snapshot, now become the same, therefore not sending any midi command out (since there is no longer a different midi cc value between each snapshots). I can reprogram each snapshot individually with the different cc values I want and then save again and everything works again, I just think it's a tedious process each time I do a minor change in the command center... Is there a way to overcome this behavior?
  18. Hi! I updated to the newest Firmware v 2.30.0 and can now only have the helix display (4) stomps. In the prior firmware version I could choose 8 stomps. It appears that now the preset mode only allows for a combination of presets/stomps/snapshots. Is this correct? Is it possible for me to display on the helix 8 stomps like previous firmware?? Thanks, Andy
  19. I've been looking through the LT manual and trying various methods...and can't seem to find this. Isn't it possible to copy a snapshot from 1 preset and paste into a completely different preset to another snapshot. I see where you can copy/swap/paste within "A" preset, but seems crazy with all this unit can do that you couldn't do this. Nooby trying to figure it out - thanks in advance for any help. K
  20. good evening. does anybody know if a chart with all the default settings (effects & co.) exist for POD XTs? something like below: preset comp (gate) stomp mod delay cab/ a.i.r. 2A off off off off on 2B on on on off on 2C on off off off off 2D off off off off on i'd need that to program better a Behringer FCB1010 UnO and, due to midi messages exchange, i need to know which ones are active in each preset, to avoid sending every midi message at changing bank/preset.
  21. Hello guys, Check out a cool tone I made and let me know what you think!

    Preset List?

Greetings folk, is there a list of the factory installed presets that come with the Helix (Rack) that you can point me too please? I've had a look but can't find anything. My previous Line6 purchases did. Many thanks in advance. Tim
  23. My POD HD 400 automatically activates the "preset" knob which I use as a Reverb knob for my effects. It doesn't only modify the amount of effect by taking it to 99% instead of the 10% I usually have it set up, but it even changes the kind of reverb (I usually use the "room" reverb, but it goes to "plate" on its own). This is the first time it happens. I tried updating the firmware and the flash memory with the Line6 Monkey, but the problem is still there. What else could I do to solve this problem? Have you heard of something similar on other Line 6 products? Thanks in advance for your help on this.

  25. I've been having this problem since I bought the Helix, and blaming myself for it ("oh, maybe I skipped that step..." kind of thinking) but last night I followed every single step and yes, 2.10 is now running --- Intermission --- Let me just take a few seconds to thank and congratulate the team. I'm loving the new models, and I'll surely put the new expression pedal functionality to good use --- Back to program --- 2.10 is now running, smoothly. The thing is, what's failing is the update process. There are certain patches (six of them) that fail to rebuild or import (or export, I'm not sure). Helix doesn't rebuild them properly. One half of the DSP is missing, in some cases it's the first half (what would correspond to paths 1 and 2), and sometimes it's the second half (3 and 4). The first time I was annoyed, but I was still getting acquainted with the machine, so I didn't care too much. I went for my backed up patches (both as a bundle and separate playlists) and tried to restore them, but they were as corrupt as what Helix itself had turned the originals to. "Not a big deal, my patches are still in diapers" I thought. Next update. Same problem. Then 2.0, same problem. By then, it was the third time I had to rebuild those patches. I skipped 2.01 because I didn't want to go through it again, and I didn't really feel the need to update. So last night I went and made screenshots of everything in those patches, to be able to restore them later. Different USB cables, different computers (3 or 4 so far, I'm not sure) and different versions of the editor, drivers, firmware... everything. Any idea before I submit a ticket? Attached are screenshots of before and after
