Hello. I am sure I have read about some real bugs of HD Edit in the past, so we should take the time and ask Line6 to fix them. This thread should be used as a collection to provide all needed changes in one list. So, at the end we should have a list of errors to be fixt and (additional) also some realistic (!) wishes (probably never will be fulfilled). First error I remember was something with mixer volume, which would not be saved in some instances (maybe only if the POD is connected via USB?). Maybe someone can specify this error more detailed? My personal biggest (realistic) wish for an update of HD Edit would be a tab-functionality to jump to the next knob or parameter and a much more straight visualisation of the chosen (or mouse-over) effect. So here is the list (I would like to keep updated) Bugs take a look at the system defaults and set them to the most common and flawless values. get rid of "(Code 8000000a) Operation timed out". add the software-ability to fix the hardware knobs, as those seem to move by themself through vibrations. expression-pedal related multi-platform bug crashes Edit, if you extensively use wah for more than a couple of minutes (Details 1, 2, 3). DEP lack of displayed knob-values (missing value-display is a known bug. Feature introduced with Ver. 2.25). Error when saving mixer volume (only HD is connected via USB) >>> ideascale I can recall encountering a bug where one side of the mixer, the right channel, occasionally went silent for some reason, and the solution was to just move the volume slider, if using HD Edit. strange general behaviors when HD is connected via USB (should be explainded more detailed). f.e. changes in FX and Amps that are performed over footswitch or expression pedal are not instantly updated/visible (some times not at all) on the edit software. There is no way to know if changes (for example, volume) are actually taking place. Communication between the software and the unit must be improved. I found after editing multiple patches and then quitting the POD HD 500 EDIT you have to restart your pedal to reread the newly edited/loaded patches or they won't play right. the delay settings are not properly transferred from the editor to the device afaik there might be some unfixed issues with some amps in the model packs. Wishes tab-functionality to jump to the next knob or parameter add an overload Indicator in the HD500 signal chain add a vertical scrollbar to allow native resolution of netbooks much more straight visualisation of the chosen (or mouse-over) effect I want to be able to see value of knobs before turning any. Its hard to tell EXACTLY what % your knob is on. The dot that represents true button placement does not get you close enough. I want to edit by the numbers not a grainy LCD screen. Often I need to edit just a couple numbers. add some more mic angles for the SM57 and some valuable mics add some kind of Global EQ patch-wise as an effect-block or DEP Dual Output Modes add API-functions or let the HD Edit go Open Source

Hi there, I bought back in 2013 an UX2 Audio Interface, and until then, everything was working perfectly. Today I plugged the USB cable into my computer and these two red dots went on and off indefinitely... I tried other USB ports on my computer, desinstalling/reinstalling drivers, monkey, license manager, etc...Nothing does. I get this error code with LINE 6 MONKEY : "There was an error communicating with your device. If it is a USB device, try disconnecting then reconnecting the USB cable. Error: (Code 80007103) Failed read from firmware." Of course, disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable doesn't solve the problem... If anyone can help me out with this issue, I will be soooo grateful Here are my specs : Windows 8.1 LINE 6 POD UX2 Studio audio interface Intel Core i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz 8.00 Go RAM x64 bits system (please, excuse my english spelling) Thank you in advance :) -
Hey guys, So I'm using the POD X3 Live the last couple of years. I run it into my Macbook with its USB out, and most of the time I get my guitar tones with POD Farm 2, which was included with the X3 Live. After the recording session is done and the guitars are put away, I can mix, change amps, cabs effects etc virtually within POD Farm 2. Brilliant and convenient. My main issue with this? I have to have my POD X3 Live connected to the laptop at ALL TIMES in order to Authorize full use of POD Farm 2. This is because the License is contained within the actual POD X3 Live unit, and when its connected it activates the full version of POD Farm. I have the Line 6 License Manager and my laptop is an Authorized device... Which I assume should allow me full access to my software and not just the trial version. This is very frustrating if I am in the middle of mixing something and have to leave, as I want to be able to take the laptop with me and mix on the go when traveling. I shouldn't have to plug in and power up my X3 Live unit any time I want to change a few tones within POD Farm. I have tried a few different methods and DAWs, Logic, GarageBand and even Audacity as a test. They all register POD Farm as a plugin, but once I try to use it, its back to the trial version... Until I take the X3 Live out of its case, plug it in, hook it up and I'm back to having my full version. Can any of you kind folk at Line 6 help me out with this issue? I've been scouring the Internet for hours looking for a solution :( All the best, Colm -
Hello, I just purchased and received my first Variax (Standard) Sunburst. First of all, it's a beautiful guitar and plays very well and feels great. I bought this guitar because I really needed a guitar that I could take to a gig and have so many different guitar types and tuning available like I'm sure many of you are thinking alike. Well, I was getting to know my new guitar absolutely stoked out. It played good for about 3o minute then it made a quick screeching sound and I just shrugged it off as it is working with some complex modeling systems and I kept playing. Well, maybe 10 to 15 minutes later this large airy noises started coming out of the guitar. When I turn the modeling system off and just use the regular SSS (Single-coil) system it fine but every time I push down on the modeling pot to on that guitar modeling system it starts that airy sound again. It's pretty loud and something I can't get by with. I also notice the 4th string (D string) is quite softer then the rest. I guess a new set of strings and setup might help with that but I'm totally bummed out with the noise problem. Please anyone of you can help me please let me know. I'm thinking that this could be a common situation but not sure. Much aloha from Hawaii and mahalo (Thank You) in advance.

Hello, I started this topic is this section because you don't have a section for my amp. I know my amp is a bogner but they told me that it was manufactured by line6 so I'm seeking help with you. When I connect my footswitch, sometimes the amp randomly changes channel. I have a friend that also has that amp and his started to randomly switching channels even with the footswitch connected. I believe this is a problem with the relay switching, maybe it gets overheated os something... Can you provide some kind of help? Thanks

Hello guys, I just bought the POD HD Pro X and I have a problem. The patches I downloaded from youtube people (Ola Englund, Fluff) and the patches I bought from a guy that sound awesome in their demos sound very harsh, thin and have no punch at all on my device. (They all used the HD Pro, does that matter? but USB aswell and no post processing) I use a Schecter Hellraise C-1 with active EMGs (and have the PAD button pressed), USB connection, headphones (monitors already ordered) and a PC with WIndows 10 and all Line 6 drivers installed. Hey guys, i have a really annoying problem with my AMP. It worked pretty well til the last days but now it starts having some problems. If i play any note and hold it, it doesn´t ring out as it should but it fades away as if i would use my volume knob extremely fast. I already did a factory preset on my AMP but it does not affect this weird sound. I am pretty sure that is is the Amp because i tried out two cables and two different guitars. Would be nice if you could help me :) thanks a lot

So i bought this pod pro off a mate and it never worked while i've had it, today i was trying to get it working. It turns up and if it's plugged in to the USB it is recognized by my PC, however the screen doesn't show any data (see attached). i can't get any signal from m guitar either. if you can help me distinguish if its a firmware or software problem that would be great! and any suggestions for a fix would be fantastic. -
I iam using windows 10 and iam using the ux1 soundcard. When iam recording in reaper, podfarm 2 or whatever i use, my soundcard makes a amount of noise when iam not playing at all. Even on clean and without any effects! What to do? Please help me. The noise is even bigger when i am pluggin in electricity to my computer. Sorry for bad English. Please help guys. Thanks -
I have been trying for about 4 hours now to purchase the HD Model Pack bundle from the store and each time I get sent to my account dashboard after clicking on the "Proceed to Checkout" button. I can't find anyone who knows how to purchase this and it's really irritating. I've never had anything like this happen on ANY website. I just want to buy this pack but it's the same stupid problem over and over and over again......If anyone knows how to help then please help me out here.

Hi, This is Rudra from Kolkata, India. I have a POD X3 bean. It's Save button is malfunctioning. If I press it, it is acting as same as the "HOME SCREEN" button and even sometimes acts as same like "INPUTS" button but not as "SAVE". So I am unable to save my patches now. In deep trouble. I need help with this issue, here is the story: I bought a Relay G30 system a few years ago, I tested it and worked perfect and I ended keeping it in a closet for may be 5 or more years. Now I just got it out and when I turn on the transmitter, it just gives me a solid yellow audio light and a solid purple battery light. I just learned from the online FAQ that this means it is on "change channel" mode. I have no idea how it went to that state, but it seems that there is no way to get it out of it. I already tried going from 6 to 1, 3 times on the channel selector, but it still stuck on those two solid lights. Also another thing I noticed is that when I turn it on, both lights go straight to those colors, they do not flicker or blink at all. I also suspect it is not bricked, because I took out the new batteries I put in and put some old batteries and the battery light went from purple to red right away, so at least that is a sign that it is still "registering" the low batteries. Please let me know if you have any step by step guide on how to solve this. Thanks! -

hi - i am new to this type of gtr so understand my situation after losing a day to understand how that work! i bought a jtv69 from MF that i got today - i plugged (without charging) the battery inside, i plugged a 1/4" ts cable into my console and nothing turns on (not modeling not quick tuning) - pickups sound rad, so the gtr is amplified. i am charging the battery but it flash between 25 second sometimes 1 light and other times 2 (not a continous red light as line 6 say on his tech sheet- mf doesnt know what to say nad gear heads seems never touched a guitar before) i connected the workbench-usb interface but this flash red light too. mf doesnt know what to say and gear heads seems more lost than me ( thanks mf for the great tech-support you have!!!!!) do you guys think it's my missing or a bad battery? thanks -fc -
hi - i just got a jtv69 from mf,i plugged the battery inside a 1/4 ts to an active console/mixer but nothing happen - i move the knobs and nothing turn on. the guitar sound good and picks are amplified but variax is not working. i am just trying to charging the battery but the charger doesnt give a continued red light (as line says to be in a charger mode) but double red lights that comes and goes every 25 seconds. also i tried to connect the guitar to the workbench usb interface but again, it gives an intermittent red light. do you guys know something more about that situation? bad battery? thanks

Hi, i just unpacked the amp, played for some 5 minutes to see how it sounds and then donwloaded the ihpone up and started updating the software. The app crashed in the middle of the update and now the amp wouldn't work at all - even without the app. I kept trying to update again, to an older firmware as that was the only option but that gets stuck at the very beginning and nothing happens no matter for how long i left it (didn't try for more than 2 hours!). Apologies for a blunt question: what should i do? Have you had a similar problem and solved it? Thanks, Kuba

so i just bought a new variax standard to use with my pod hd500. everything seems to be working fine other than i can't save any guitar models to the presets on the pod. for example, if i wanted to change from a lester on one patch then switch to acoustic on another. the tunings change, the knobs can be assigned to certain effects, but for some reason, i can't change the guitar models. any idea why this might be? thanks!

Hi everybody ! I have a problem with pod farm vst in reaper. I was recording song earlier today and i recorded only dry signal for each track. Then i added pod farm as fx to each of those track and everything was perfect. But then i saw that new version of pod farm available so i downloaded it and installed. now when i open my reaper project i only hear dry guitar though the pod farm is added as fx. There is also one more problem earlier i was using dual presets i mean with two amps now i cannot do that. please help me

Hi there. I just bought my JTV 69 and started updating the flash driver. After it stayed like 5 mins and downloaded very slowly, the massage appeared saying that the connection is lost. Since then the dap just doesn't work. When I press on the Varian button it just activates the pies pickup but nothing happens when I switch between different guitar models or different tunings. How can I update or re-install the driver on the JTV?It's now just a regular guitar. Please help! :(( -
So my computer crashed not long ago and needed to get it fixed and re-installed. I have a Line 6 Pod Studio UX2 that was authorized on my old ID (before the computer crashed), but since it crashed I couldn't deauthorize the device before reinstalling. Now I can't complete my deauthorization because it tells me to deauthorize the device through the other computer (which is the one I am using now, but reinstalled with new ID). What does this mean? Does this mean I can't use my device at all because I can't complete the process? Please help, I have been looking for anyone with he same issue, but with no luck. I was hoping to just deauthorize through my account on Line 6 and then authorize the device again on this new ID. It would be really unfortunate if I have to buy a new POD because of this... -
I'm a new owner of Variax JTV-89F (by the way, I also had the 6th string loud resonance sound problem right from the start, just saying...) Sadly, tuning down the string physically, which I always do make the string tension just the way I like, is made impossible to use with modeling. I've been experiementin and seems like tuning the guitar to Eb standard works fine with all the modeling. At D standard some glitching occurs. C# standard is where the problem really starts and unfortunately that's the exact physical tuning I want. For some reason, at C# standard the 4th string gives that ring modulated sound with a wrong pitch. Other strings start glitching also if you tune down even lower. Also, the thickness of the strings doesn't make a difference here. It has to be something with the programming right? Cause again, string thickness doesn't change the problem at all. Modeling still works great with this tuning IF you don't use the alternate tuning knob or 12 strings where the Variax needs to detect the pitch. But that kinda takes away the whole point of the guitar. Before you ask "why don't you use thinner strings and tune to Eb then?", I think a .010 string is way too stiff even at Eb because I like bending notes a lot, It's perfect for me at C# and I don't want to use .009's or .008's because even .010's snap sometimes. Anything I could do to make C# work? -

I cant get a USB-connection going in my DAW when I connect my amplifi tt to my computer via. USB. Thats my problem. It doesn't appear as a device in Reaper at all.. When I plug in my amplifi to my computer via. usb it tells me it fails to install unit drivers? I've had a lot of trouble updating my Amplifi to latest patch and Im not even sure it's done correctly. I tried locating amplifi drivers and updates on my PC, in the hope that I could do it manually, but nope. Line 6 dont have any software for amplifi products available for downloading I guess. Im very frustrated, please help
