Hi, I´ve already seen some people with my problem. But I still didn´t understand it. The problem is that when recording my electric guitar in Ableton, through the UX1 I get a very low input signal. Since it is convenient for modifying it afterwards to have a larger one, I would like to know how to get a good input signal.. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks -
Having a problem with a DL4 that I recently purchased. I've attached a recording to this post (the recording is clipping a tiny bit, apologies for that). Basically when I switch any delay on, the guitar signal gets cut very briefly and then comes back with delay, instead of just carrying on with added delay. You can hear it happening 3 times on the recording I've attached, every time I release the switch to trigger the delay. Has that ever happened to any of you ? Any thoughts ? Bomber Uber - sounds great, then goes bad - muffled and quiet

Has anyone experienced this issue? I have a HD500X patch using one Bomber Uber preamp with no cab and a few effects. Sometimes, after playing for a few minutes, the sound from my DT amps get extremely muffled and extremely quiet only when using this specific patch. The following behavior seems odd: If I switch to a different patch that uses a different amp model, the rig sounds 100% normal. Then... when I switch back to the "problem" patch it also sounds 100% normal... for a while until the problem happens again IF the problem happens again. The problem sometimes appears, sometimes not, it's not consistent. My setup: Variax or regular guitar - HD500X - L6 link - DT25 combo #1 - L6 link - DT25 combo #2, both amps running in low volume mode. If I plug directly into either combo amp and disregard the HD500X entirely, the amps work A-OK and sound great. Just curious if anyone else has stumbled across this, perhaps on other amp (or preamp) models? I don't have my rig nearby right now, but the one thing I remember changing in the patch that might affect the DT25's was that I selected Topology IV instead of the Uber's default Topology III. I don't think that should matter, just thought that info might help. Thanks! -
Hi there, I bought a spider iv 75 w and a mkii express 2 and a half years ago. Both have been working great till 2 months ago. Now, when I plug the mkii to the amp it make a wierd noise, kinda distorted/ fuzzy and kinda tremolo too. I think this may be 1 of 3: - cable is not good, which I already tried to change and nothing changed, so no; - amp port is not working good; or - mkii is not working good. The amp alone works fine. Can anyone help me with this? Have anyone had this problem? Thanks in advance. -
Well, i have 2 problems. 1. I already authorized my laptop and podx3live. When POD is turned off, POD Farm doesnt work as insert for a track in cubase (to reamp some track). It says that i need to license my pod-laptop. Is it supposed to be this way? I must turn on my pod each time when i need to use pod farm as insert? lol 2. Gearbox doesnt make any sound as insert for a track. It is shown in a list of plugins, but doesnt work at all. any ideas?

Hi, I got an M5 Stompbox Modeler for the pas 2 years and i really like it. Problem is, since the past few months, i have a problem. If the M5 is on and the effect (lets take heavy distortion for this example) is activated (which means the red light on the on/off is there) the sound is completely fine. BUT if i just press on the ON/OFF button, i'm supposed to hear my clean guitar settings that is coming out of my amp (its pretty much like that for every pedal in the world lol pedal effect off=amp's sound) The problem is that when the effect if OFF, i can't hear anything like if my guitar is no plugged. All my cables work fine (i tested every single one of them) and its only when the effect is OFF that it doesnt work. So i can't use it on stage now because if i just turn off my distortion, i dont have any sound coming from the amp :P If anyone can help me thatd be cool :) (btw i'm not an expert in electronic stuff so telling me codes and stuff will just confuse me xD just explain what you mean and that should be good :) ) -
I have a JTV-69 (Korean) paired with an HD500x and the acoustic models are giving me a major issue w/ the sound when hitting certain frets. Typically the string/fret that make this noise is A-7&8th fret and also D-4th fret. The sound is almost like a feedback and horrible resonance sound where the sound is much louder than the other frets. Anyone else notice this issue with the acoustic models. -
Hi All, I got a problem with my X3 Live (MIDI settings) and Reaper. I use my POD for playing live along with backing tracks set in Reaper. I have created track for sending MIDI to POD and it works great BUT..... when I stop my DAW, my POD changes settings by itself (tap tempo is much faster, lower reverb mix). Is there any option to program MIDI to retain same settings while playing and while stopping? Please help. Thanks!

Hi all, I recently purchased a Pod HD Pro X and was pretty happy with it. However I turned it off last night and when I turned it back on again this morning the screen is white, not displaying anything even the logo, and any audio sent through it sounds horrible. I had it set as my computers default audio device via USB when I turned it off so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Also I've tried re-installing the firmware which hasn't done anything. Monkey picks it up though and everything else says it's working properly. Maybe blew a fuse or something? Hope someone's able to help, thanks.

Using gear box, everything is fine, but in pod farm / pod farm 2, there are only basic amps and stomps. What should I do?

Hi everyone! I happily joined the Line6 club recently and I am really surprised by the sounds I can get from my HD300 unit, but recently I started to have problems with the switches, nobody changed something in it hardware-wise, everything is factory-like. It's easier to show you in a video what's the problem so: I found out that by holding the A switch you enter in a button test mode "P16 TEST MODE", the screen shows "Knob ExtPdl" or "Knob IntPdl" and whatever I push it just jumps back at that and their value keep changing random. After a few days the problem got worse, now there are some LEDs that light up togheter with others, like the green tremolo light when the orange delay is on, and they sometimes flicker together with the tap LED. It's just like everything is short circuiting. I don't know if there is an authorized service in Romania so I could send them the unit.

Hi, I have all of a sudden, from nowhere experienced some kind of problem with my Spider IV 75. When turning on the amp you hear a crackling sound and then a continuous high pitched tone and the LCD display won't light up. Is my poor favorite amp dead or does anybody have some kind of idea on how to solve this? Thanks! -
Hello I bought a Line6 UX2 last year, and it always worked good. On emonth ago my pc crashed, so I bought a new one and had to re.install all programs. A few days ago I installed again my UX2 with its PODFarm 2.55; I ran the licenser and IT authorized at once both the device and my new pc. First time I opened it, i found totally EMPTY the library where I found all guitar tones : Both the prests tones and those I created were missing! I closed it, and tried to open it again. It didn't open! Every time I try to run PODFarm, I receive an error message, you can see it attached. ' POD Farm failed to initialize L6TWXYframework. (Code 0x8000e00a) ' What does it means? How can have it working again? And even if starting again.... How can I get back all the guitar tones I had???? (presets and created ones) Please help me!! Thank you ver much to everyone could give me some direction! Federico -
Hey, So bought a new Line 6 Variax 700. Love the tones. But when i connected it to my workbench i've had a strange problem. First let me explain how i connected it. Variax 700 electric to my pod xt live using a rj45 cable. Then, via usb to the computer. I have updated all my firmwares and software. Now, heres the strange thing. My guitar is detected via the pod xt live perfectly, but when i try to change a tuning the fret board works upside down. Eg. When i drop my lowest (6th string) To a D in order to make it a drop D tuning, it changes my highest string (The high E or 1st string) to a D. While the easy and obviously way to get over this is just find out how many frets to drop each string by. There is another issue. When i drop my highest string in the software (which is my lowest string in real life) The note doesnt transpose properly. I.e. it misses the note and buzzes and stuff like that. What is the problem. I'm pretty sure that if i fix my fretboard being upside down in the software, it'll fix the problem. P.S. I've reinstalled the firmwares and drives and tried the same thing on my laptop as well as desktop. PLEASE HELP! :( :( Thanks in advance. -
Sorry I am new to the line 6 forum so i don't know where to post for this problem I am having. I have a brand new pod studio ux2. Whenever I try to record or monitor, the tones just sound too terrible to play with because they are covered in static noise, especially when there is distortion. The more distortion, the more crackeling/static. It happens even when just monitoring directly from the pod farm. I download preset's offline, but they sound way worse and full of static-y noise compared to the online previews of the tone. For example, I downloaded this preset off of youtube: On the youtube video, it sounds great and completely clear. But when i monitor the same exact tone on my pod farm, it is covered in static which makes it really not easy to listen to at all, and gives it a completely different feel than what it is supposed to sound like. Please see the attached file to see what the downloaded tone displayed on that youtube video sounds like for me. The guitar I use is a schecter blacjack, which is a pretty nice guitar model. I think mine in particular however has damaged pickups because it is really hard to hear the tone on most special amp effects, and is only really hearable on distorted or clean tones, but even the sound can fade depending on where I am playing. Also there is a couple buzzing problems with my strings so my guitar isn't in the best shape. However i don't really have the same static problem at all when I use that guitar on my spider iv 75 amp. It sound's a lot clearer. So that makes me more unsure on what is causing the static problem with the ux2/pod farm. Does anyone know what could be causing all of that static noise when i use my ux2/pod farm? Aside from my crappy playing, you can definintely hear the difference in actual quality when comparing my recording of the downloaded preset tone, to the youtube video preview of the actual tone. crackely_as_lollipop.mp3

Hi! I recently get a Spider iv of 75 watts. I was so excited about it, but then i start with trouble. I was playing...testing the presets and making mine but suddenly I realized that the volume was too high in some of them, I didnt want to change the master volumen every time I change my channel...so I start reading the manual and I start changing my channel volume....I was doing fine, until I try to change the channel volumen of one of my presets. An example Drive Bass Mid Treb Channel Vol. 7 6 4 8 3 (On the display and knobs) This is how i safe my preset Then I move chanel volumen becouse it was a little bit down so it end like this... Drive Bass Mid Treb Channel Vol. 7 6 4 8 5 (On the display and knobs) BUT!!! the volumen just went all the way down.... so I needed to turn the channel volume all the way up just to get a lower sound than the initial one. What am I doing wrong?

I have a Toshiba that runs Windows 7 and Intel core i5 if that is any help. I have tried recording with many different programs ranging from Pro Tools to Audacity and it always does this thing were I will be recording a track and half way through it stops recording for maybe 1 second and then continues recording. At first I don't notice anything because nothing pops up but then when I go back to listen there is a piece of my track missing and it completely skips that one second part it stopped recording. this makes it impossible to do live recordings and it's starting to frustrate me so any help would be amazing!

Greetings all, let's see if I can explain my problem correctly: I got a used POD HD500 recently and noticed a problem, well, at least i think this is an issue: I like to plug a mobile or tablet in the p2 aux in to play along. The thing is, when I stop the music in the mobile, it seems the POD turns off the connection to the phone or the tablet, then I have to unplug and plug it again so I can continue playing, quite an anoying thing... Does someone know how to solve this?

Hi All, lately I am having quite a lot of trouble with my Pod XT Live floor effects. When I call up a patch while playing, it will sound OK for the first few seconds and then lose some volume and sound really dull. Also when I have selected a patch the screen on the pod will change between the name of the patch and the dialling buttons (like when you edit the patch) I hope this makes sense. It will keep on doing this constantly. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? Because for the moment I am thinking of throwing the whole unit out and getting a different one as I am gigging 2 / 3 times a week I have to be able to trust on my gear. Any help is welcome. Last night I was using Workbench HD to adjust the string levels for models on my JTV59. The JTV59 connected with VDI into HD500 then via USB to Win 7 PC running Workbench HD. Everything running latest firmware levels. I adjusted string levels on quite a few models and reviewed all of them. The ones I changed I transferred (uploaded) to Variax - and I did this several times. Most of the time it was fine, however, sometimes it seemed to take a few seconds to recognise when I had selected a different bank and model and the Workbench HD would grey out and appear to hang but then a few seconds later there would be a click and everything would be in sync. Once I was happy with my string volume adjustments I then thought I would try out swapping a body on one of the models just to see how it worked. I had noticed that whilst adjusting the string volumes that whichever model I had selected, the body type on the Workbench HD screen would always show as Neutral, when I thought it should show the body of the actual model selected. Anyway, I had SEMI bank selected and position 1. I had just tried swapping the pickup from SEMI HUMBUCKER to LP HUMBUCKER and then swapped it back which I did by downloading the SEMI pos 1 model from the JTV59 rather than re-updating the Workbench HD definition. So everything seemed fine at this point and I could see the SEMI model chosen in the main window, and NEUTRAL showing as body type in the bottom part of the window, so I clicked on the slider and rotated through the different models and noted that the main window did not change and still showed the SEMI body type. I just happened to stop on the CHIME body type and decided to use that - so I clicked on the body icon - this seemed to take after a pause and the chime model body was shown but now the sound I could hear sounded like the Chime 12 string model. Odd, so I decided to reset it but then discovered it would not change even when I selected the Semi body type or any other body type. So I tried to download from Variax again and received a popup which I think said Midi time out error with a code. Oh no. So I then tried switching model banks on the JTV59 and using the pickup selector switch and discovered that all positions now just played the Chime 12 string model. So I tried switching off the modelling on the JTV59 and discovered that the push down knob would not disengage modelling mode. Oh no again - what had happened? So I ended Workbench HD on the PC, and again tried to switch off modelling and to select a different model on the JTV59 and found that all I could get was the Chime 12 string model. So then I decided to disconnect the VDI cable and power off the JTV59. I did that and waited for about 30 seconds to make sure that all power had gone, then I reconnected it and to my great relief it reverted back to normal and the settings that I had previously made before messing with the BODY option. PHEW! Unfortunately, I panicked at the time and did not make a note of the popup window and error code or an exact note of every single step I had taken to get to the problem or every step I took to resolve the problem. The description above is what I remember but I am not too keen to try it again in case I break the JTV59 more permanently next time. I am on latest firmware for everything - so I was not expecting any issues. Has anyone used the MODEL BODY Selection with Workbench HD without any issue or has anyone experienced this problem or something similar? Is the MODEL BODY selection part of Workbench HD broken - or was this just a one off glitch that hit me - or was it a particular sequence of actions that caused the problem? Thanks.- 2 replies

I frequently use a dotted 8th digital delay in my patches and have noticed at times, that it somehow stops working as a dotted 8th and becomes more like a 1/4 note delay. The setting in HD Edit and on the HD500X itself still shows the dotted 8th. I always dial in the BPM for the patch, so the timing of the dotted 8th delay is based off of that. I believe this usually happens when I have the HD500X connected to the computer via the USB cable although I seem to recall this also happening when running the HD500X on its own. In order to fix it, I end up changing the type of note delay to something like a 1/2 note, saving the patch, then switching it back to dotted 8th note and saving it again. Has anyone else noticed this happening? It's not a consistent thing, but it is somewhat disconcerting considering how much one may rely on a specific delay for a song.

My DT25 head has started blowing the tube protection fuse. This happens shortly after i turn it on. I have noticed the following before it happens: 1. I turn on the amp. 2. wait for a minute or two. 3. The amp starts making crackeling noice and one of the power tubes starts glowing brightly (like it has a hot spot all orange) If I don but it in standby at this spot, then the fuse blows. Do I have a faulty amp or do I just need to replace the power tubes ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm having a few problems with connecting these two devices. I've set the UX2 up to recognize the mic so I'm getting signal and can hear it but I have to crank the input gain to about 9 to get anything decent out of it! And I'm using the word "decent" very lightly. The resulting sound is full of reverb and noise. I'm wondering if this is a general problem when using a UX2 and a condenser mic. I've borrowed this mic off a friend who uses it with a Sapphire Pro 14 and he gets beautiful recordings. Clear and crisp. Do I need to amp the signal before it reaches the UX2 preamp? Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks Patrick -
Hello everyone! I'm guitar player and I'd like to complain about the support of Line 6! I own an Line 6 JTV-59 and POD HD500.I bought the guitar because I saw many demos in YouTube and I really liked what I heard! At the time when I bought the guitar the latest firmware was 1.71 and I was amazed of the good sounding accoustic guitars (Exactly what I heard on YouTube)! I'd like to say,that I really love that guitar! For me JTV-59 is one of the best instruments now in the world,but...The guys from Line 6 decided to change the sound of the accoustic guitars in the next update of the firmware (I guess it was FW1.80 ) and that was a BIG problem for me!!! I really don't like the sound of the new accoustic guitars! There are a lot of people around the world who share my opinion too and there were at least 4-5 ideas in http://line6.ideascale.com from guitar players who wanted to have the old sound of the accoustic guitars! Now I'm stuck on FW 1.71 because I can't and I don't want compromise with the sound and because of that I can't use a lot of the new futures on my guitar in conjunction with POD HD500! I wrote 2 or 3 tickets,on that issue,but the guys from support center said to write this as an idea in http://line6.ideascale.com/,so I did it,but as you can guess with no success! So I'd like to say to the guys from support center one "BIG Thanks" just keep screwing up your customers...! P.S. I forgot to say,that I've suggested the guys just to give to their customers to choose which guitars to install when they upgrade to the new FW,or just to choose for example to keep the guitars from FW 1.71 , but to upgrade only the latest functions!
