  1. Hi everybody ! I have a problem with pod farm vst in reaper. I was recording song earlier today and i recorded only dry signal for each track. Then i added pod farm as fx to each of those track and everything was perfect. But then i saw that new version of pod farm available so i downloaded it and installed. now when i open my reaper project i only hear dry guitar though the pod farm is added as fx. There is also one more problem earlier i was using dual presets i mean with two amps now i cannot do that. please help me
  2. I have been a user of the pod hd 500x and reaper for a while now and have had no problems at all. but after the windows 10 update I'm unable to record. my computer and reaper recognize the hd500x and everything is completely updated. but once I open reaper to record I make a new track and arm the track to record but reaper doesn't pickup the sound from the pedal. I can physically hear it myself through my floor monitor and even reaper uses the pedal to send sound to. so I can play old tracks I recorded before from reaper to the pedal to the speaker. I am just confused....... I have literally tried everything! there is nothing I haven't tried and I am getting frustrated. hopefully I can get some help, thanks.
  3. I cant get a USB-connection going in my DAW when I connect my amplifi tt to my computer via. USB. Thats my problem. It doesn't appear as a device in Reaper at all.. When I plug in my amplifi to my computer via. usb it tells me it fails to install unit drivers? I've had a lot of trouble updating my Amplifi to latest patch and Im not even sure it's done correctly. I tried locating amplifi drivers and updates on my PC, in the hope that I could do it manually, but nope. Line 6 dont have any software for amplifi products available for downloading I guess. Im very frustrated, please help
  4. So I use an m-audio midiport to change my pod's patches during live shows. However when a patch changes, there is a small interruption of sound (for about half a second) which sounds bad in the mix... Is there a way to make the change faster? If not, I basicly change between rythm and lead patches, so can I change some parameters of the patch (like turning pedals on/off. or amp settings) using MIDI signals? I just want to make our live sound as perfect as it can get...
  5. Hey there. I tried searching around for a topic that might help me resolve the issues I seem to be having, but everything I have tried seems to be failing. Im using Reaper with my UX2.I have a Seinheisse E825 S running in with an XLR using either Gearbox or PodFarm I was trying to run the channel in dry,as I want it sound as natural as possible as I have it mic'd up to my HD147,but when I record, the volume seems to be incredibly low on playback. Can anyone tell me if I might be doing something worng? I also seem to get latency issues through my headphones when playing. Im completely stumped, but if any other info is needed to help me get up and running (I'm kinda new to this,so I could even be wrong with some of the terminology Im using) I can provide it,and I'd be grateful for any help
  6. I am trying to do automatic pod hd pro x patch changing in Repaer with MIDI, but I can't see the Pod in the MIDI output devices, only as an input device.. Any ideas why? Screenshot:
  7. The product is the Line 6 UX-1 audio interface; I could not find a menu to register that product. the serial number (I'm assuming SN is that) is (21) [serial removed]. ASIO driver (Windows 7) won't write the audio that I hear through POD Farm. I also tested my amp and get a lot of background static with the 15 watt Line 6 Spyder IV amp. So far my experiments to troubleshoot involved researching how to get Audacity to write audio, That would require using a recompiled version of Audacity for ASIO driver support. That is the crux of what I need help with, I can use POD tones entirely if the amp is just staticky or needs maintenance first. I've gotten the audio waveforms in Reaper and Sonar 8, so I know that it can detect the input. It simply won't write to disk. This might be asking a bit much, but I'd also like support to get my keyboard working sicne that encountered driver issues as well. I've included all information in my Support Profile for OS, drivers, etc. Thank you in advance, after I get the drivers working everything should go smoothly! Love Line 6 guitar tones!
  8. Hi everyone, I just purchased line 6 POD HD Pro X, went to line 6 software downloaded the Monkey and editor. I updated all drivers through monkey for the Pro X through USB to my computer. Issue comes when I want to use my DAW. There seems to be a similar issue (unresolved?) archived under : Blue screen of death on Win7 with HD500. I am using windows 7 64-bit** I can have Reaper open and turn on my Pro X. From here, I can select the ASIO driver and play like normal. However, if I start new project, click off of reaper and back to reaper, or close and re-open, my computer will blue screen with this Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I believe this comes from 2 entities trying to access the same driver?? Either way, I have tried moving a few things around with no results (and updated all drivers). Turned off the power save in case there was a usb port power issue (suggested in other forum). Tried setting HD as sound device (for monitoring), same result. Re-installed drivers for Pro X drivers, still issues. Besides making sure everything up to date, I am not exactly sure how to resolve the issue and haven't seen a solution (but many similar) problems for other uses. Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks, Mike
  9. hey everyone I'm a guitarist who records with my Line 6 UX1 and POD Farm, and I'm looking for someone to do some drum tracks for me. A drummer or someone who can program drums for an online collaboration for 2 or 3 songs, even if its programmed drums or a MIDI file I can edit that would work as well, and I'm willing to pay. I'm recording some originals and covers in Reaper and I need drum tracks for the songs. Hard rock/metal songs for now probably one original and one cover. You need to be able to record your drums in your home studio or studio with good quality and be able to send the tracks to me over the internet so I can record guitar with what you played! Please let me know! E-Mail me we can talk over email, facebook, or by phone. It doesn't matter where you live. Here's some other songs I did with my band, Caidema, to show you the kind of style I play in: • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spt0o80FLgs and • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsq_CkjG52k Thank You -Matt • MatthewIan84@gmail.com • www.Facebook.com/CaidemaBand • www.Facebook.com/Mattianalbano
  10. Hi All, I got a problem with my X3 Live (MIDI settings) and Reaper. I use my POD for playing live along with backing tracks set in Reaper. I have created track for sending MIDI to POD and it works great BUT..... when I stop my DAW, my POD changes settings by itself (tap tempo is much faster, lower reverb mix). Is there any option to program MIDI to retain same settings while playing and while stopping? Please help. Thanks!
  11. Hello there.. I am very new to any computer recording whatsoever.I have a pc laptop. I am looking to start recording some basic guitar tracks, and then hopefully some vocals over that. I would like to do all of this from my laptop, on a fairly tight budget. I am thinking of using reaper. Does anyone reccommend Reaper? Pros/Cons? What type of interface should I use? Can i use my mk2 express as an interface? Thanks for any help....
  12. Hi! I'm hoping you guys can help me. I bought a UX1 about 7 months ago, I jammed with the POD Farm 2.5 with no major problems, also I've downloaded Cubase 5 in order to record stuff. I've recorded some short tracks with it, and it was pretty good. About a week ago I tried to record something with the POD Farm (in the standalone mode) and the Cubase.....when I listened to what I've recorded , my ears bleed! . It sounded horribly distorted with lots of fuzz, latency and noises. I double checked my POD Farm and everything sounded cool as always, so I thought it could be the Cubase...I run POD Farm as a plugin in Cubase and it was the same horrible, distorted, noisy problem. Then I thought it could be a matter of Cubase, so I downloaded Reaper and set the UX1 to work with it and....it was the same! Once again the POD Farm sounded awesome by itself but when I listened to what I've recorded with Reaper, it was the same story: distorted and crackled! I've done everything : change the buffer in Reaper, use better and shorter cables, updated the POD Farm with the Monkey, optimize my Vista laptop.....PLEASE HELP ME! POD Farm is working just fine...but I can't record anything without sounding like crap. I'm desperate :(
  13. Hey guys, kinda at my wits end with this truthfully. I understand that there's been some Windows 8/Pod HD compatibility issues, so I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. Plug in my HD Pro via USB. Reaper volume reads about 50% no matter where the volume knob falls, even though the POD wasn't selected as the MIDI output for the track. Therein lies the problem, I can't seem to get it so the POD is available as an output at all. Updating the POD's flash memory to the current version (2.31) seems to be causing some intermittent BSOD errors. Either the thing is bricked until Line 6 rolls out new drivers/flash/whatever is making this such an issue, or there's some kind of fix to be had. I imagine the fact that it doesn't show up might have something to do with everything not being completely up to date? I did roll the flash back to try that, still no luck. Sorry if this seems a little disjointed, just trying to document my troubleshooting process. Has anyone here had similar issues?
  14. Although I can hear both vocals and guitar through my UX2, I can't seem to find any way of recording two separate mono tracks at the same time using Reaper as my DAW. Basically I want to record my guitar and vocals at the same time, then end up with two tracks that I can play about with and mix later on. I can get the UX2 to send the guitar out on channel 1-2 and the vocal out on channel 3-4 but when it comes to recording it in to Reaper, I really am stuck. On Reaper I can select my first input as input 1 (or 2) and the guitar records fine, but the second input 3 (or 4) is totally dead when I sing into the mic. If anyone has done this successfully on Reaper pls let me know. I have wasted a few hours trying to figure this out myself and all the google answers seem to be based on very old versions of Reaper :-/ Help! Here is my set up: UX2 using PodFarm2 Reaper latest version (Jan 2014) Windows 7 SM 58 Mic/Epiphone electric guitar And screenshots attached on what I have attempted so far, the UX2 set up I have, Main Reaper view and audio settings on Reaper. Thanks.
  15. Hi, Could someone please help with the following: 1. is it possible to have a sound from Pod Farm VST in Reaper in computer speakers? Right now I have a clean guitar signal from speakers, to be able to hear actual tone I have to use headphones. 2. How to configure Guitar Rig and Amplitube to work with UX2 (playing through computer speakers)? Tried many different settings and everything I got is signal coming to application (peak indicators are live as I hit the strings), but no sound from speakers. Many thanks for any help :-)
  16. So I was looking into buying the POD Studio UX1, but I was wondering if there was any to record certain tracks that go into the pod by themselves. So for example, could i have both my guitar and my ipod playing through the POD at the same time, but only record the guitar signal? If not, is there anyway to do this without UX2 or any other POD? Thanks.
  17. Pod Farm 2.56 with reaper (DAW) through Line 6 UX1 with my guitar Today for some random reason the effects of Pod Farm on my tracks are not working. The program itself opens and functions normally, and recognizes that a recorded is playing. The volume and input and output knobs are all on, and the amps and models all seem to load, yet when i play a track back or play an instrument with immediate playback, all i get is the clean, uneffected sound of the guitar. Tried reinstalling and restarting my computer and I get the same results. What gives?
  18. Hey everyone, I just received a PODHD500 in the mail and I'm having a bit of trouble with direct recording. I'm using a Dell with an Intel Celeron with 1.70 GHz, 4 gigs of ram, and windows 8. I dialed in a good djent tone and wanted to test it with a drum track I had in Reaper. I haven't had any latency issues with reaper since I did a system recovery on the computer, hell this morning I was messing around with a djent setup that included about 8 plugins and there were no problems. I attempted to record with the POD and everything seemed to be going well during the recording until I played it back and noticed that my guitar playing was milliseconds off of the actual drum track, I even tried the same thing with audacity and experienced the same issue. Can anybody offer any advice or give me an ultimatum on the situation? Im running guitar > Pod > Computer Via USB > DAW
  19. I have been using my POD Studio UX1 to record electric guitar DI with great success (or at least with very few technical issues) for the past few years. More recently I have ventured into the scary world of recording acoustic guitar and vocals. For this I have been using a rather low-budget dynamic microphone (Superlux TOP-258) running into the UX1 XLR input. It has always frustrated me that I cannot seem to get sufficient gain when recording my acoustic guitar this way. I have cranked the mic gain rotary nob all the way, hit the +18db boost button in POD farm, etc. I previously used Cubase to record, but have since switched to Cockos Reaper. Needless to say, the low mic gain issue persisted despite the DAW switch. Suspecting that the low gain might have something to do with my low-budget mic, I decided to invest in a Shure SM57 (the fact that I use the word "invest" in this context should give you a clear indication of my budget...), hoping that results would improve. To my dismay, however, the low mic gain issue not only remains unsolved, but actually seems worse with the SM57 than the Superlux mic. I feel somewhat at a loose end. I have seen reviews of the SM57 where it is plugged directly into some USB audio interface (just like I do with my UX1) and the artists manage to record acoustic guitar with tons of gain (or so it seems from my perspective). To make it clear: I am running the SM57 directly into the XLR input on the UX1 via an XLR-XLR cable, gain is turned up 7/8ths of the way, directly into my DAW (any more mic gain and the white noise becomes rediculous). The gain when recording vocals (using only a pop-filter between the vocalist and the mic) is acceptable, but still not fantastic. The noise to signal ratio when recording my acoustic guitar, though, is atrocious. Can any one offer advice as to what the problem may be? Could it be the XLR cable? Could there be something worng with my UX1? Is the amount of maximum amount of gain I can hope to get out of the UX1 simply to little to ever be able to record acoustic guitar with a dynamic mic at an acceptable signal-to-noise ratio? Any inputs are appreciated, though may I kindly request that you refrain from suggestions that I purchase a condenser mic (I have noted a trend on these forums to recommend condenser mics as a sort of panacea to any type of mic gain query, even when the purchase thereof is not an option (for whatever reason) to the OP. Given the UX1's lack of phantom power, purchase of a condenser mic would in any case neccesarily imply purchasing a different audio interface, in which event I may as well consider getting an entirely different interface with better preamps and, more importantly, more input gain than the UX1.)
  20. So I've been using Reaper forever with various versions and up until today, I've had no problems. Now I load a project I was working on yesterday and when I try to select the POD HD500 driver in the dropdown it says "No ASIO Drivers Found!" and shows no I/O selection options. I already uninstalled/removed from registry/reinstalled Line 6 Drivers via Monkey and direct download I have uninstalled all other ASIO device drivers (TASCAM US-1800, AudioBox 2x2) Tried installing ASIO4All---still doesn't show up Uninstalled/reinstalled Reaper (tried with old versions and the newest) Still get the "No ASIO Drivers Found!" message Anyone have any other ideas? I'm not really looking forward to reinstalling my whole OS and all my plugins to get Reaper to work. I can use Cubase LE, WaveLab, or Studio One Artist with the drivers no problem (including ASIO4ALL).
  21. First off - im swedish so my spelling migh be a bit poor. I got myself an UX2. Worked fine in windows XP but now I use win7 x64. Problem is that is seems to fight with my graphic card. Only when using UX2 - the onboard card seems to handle every thing good. No stutter no choped sounds. The stutters and choped sound are not gliches or such casued by to much ASIO overload. The stutter leaves "big gaps" in the sound. I dont really know whats the problem - or if anyone else has these. Should I go back using x86 or?
  22. hey everyone, i recently bought a pod hd400 about a year ago (well, i guess not that recently) and when i play music, especially using distorted tones such as "big time lead" to play metal-esque songs through my headphones the sound quality is amazing tight and compact/full. when i switch the back settings from studio to live, and line to amp and play the pod through my roland cube 15x amp the sound sounds much more different and harsh, but still good enough (first question... why?) the real question is when i want to do any recordings to my computer with my main objective putting youtube videos up. as i stated before, when i play through my headphones the tone sounds godly and magnificent, but when i hear the playback from either free DAWS "audacity" or "reaper(trial)" connected through USB it sounds so bad its unbearable. very harsh, trebly, as if recorded with a cellphone from the 90's... Why is this?? Shouldn't i hear back what im hearing through my headphones when playing strictly into them from my pod? And if any of you have put any youtube videos up, im wondering what equipment i must buy (my budget is pretty tight) to get the best sound quality out of this pod. Again, im not looking for anything spectacular or proffesional, but when i see these punk teenage kids putting up covers of songs that the sound quality is Fantastic i cant help but wonder why i cant do the same Hope to get some replies soon
