  1. When I plug my Amplifi 75 into my pc via USB I get a buzzing sound. There isn't a constant buzz but any time a sound comes through from either the guitar or something played on the PC the sound crackles. I really want to do some recording but this makes it sound horrid. The USB cable works fine with my Toneport UX2 and everything else. Thanks
  2. Hey guys question here . So me and my drummer buddy were playing with the helix yesterday and basically set it up so both my guitar and his electric drums came through the helix and recorded directly onto reaper, The question is, when you have two signals on the helix , so one for guitar then the drums in the fx send , when recording on reaper is there a way to have the drums and guitar go to separate recording paths on the recording interface instead of being on one combined path so that you can then eq the tracks separately ? On another note, it sounds impressive still but being able to relevel separately when mixing would be great. Here's what we did (just a soad cover to play around https://soundcloud.com/smoke-signals-765125715/soad-suite-pee-cover-drums-and-guitar
  3. Hi everyone, Does anyone know if there is a way to do USB recording without having the record stream have the music library track layered on top of the guitar? I like to have just the guitar recorded, but also be able to listen to the music library track I am playing at the same time through my headphones. Is there an easy way to achieve this that I am not considering? Also, does anyone have any tips for the easiest way to align multiple recordings, say for lead and rhythm guitar individual recordings. I have been using audacity but no matter how hard I try I always get that slight delay that produces an echo effect. Thank you.
  4. Hi! I am currently using the Line 6 UX2 connected to my computer. I have the audio Technica AT2035 connected to my UX2. In the pod farm interface I get the sound and the waves are showing. But when I am trying to record with UX2 I get no sound. When I try to choose the ux2 in windows (recording, not playback devices) I get no sound. I can't here my microphone in my recordings.
  5. Early 2015 we recorded a song with the HD Pro. Now, the same song we re-recorded a few weeks ago with the Helix: guitars, bass and vocals. My conclusion: there's just nothing bad you can say about the Helix :) Listen to the difference: HD Pro: https://soundcloud.com/amazing_air/all-the-strangers Helix https://soundcloud.com/amazing_air/all-the-strangers-helixx

  7. Hi! When I play on the amplifier, it sounds good. When I have headphones (studio headphones 668B) it have a lot of fuzz. It's the same when I record in Reaper, or other DAW. On YT people are recording by USB and it sounds naturally, and good... And for me it farts a lot. Unnatural and scary.
  8. JTVROCKS

  9. Hi all! I'm new to the forum, although i use line 6 gear's for some time. I was user of Line 6 pod XT and right now i have pod HD500 (i also have AMP from line6). My main guitar gear is Ibanez 350 DX and i use two programs for recording/mixing: Reaper and Reason (only for MIDI stuff). I did research in presets all over the web. I found interesting stuff in download on this site, in Youtube etc. The problem is that i can't reach where i want in rhythmic and leads sound and maybe you can help with that. For first i will show you the sound that i think will be great to have (or at least close to that): For rythm section: https://youtu.be/aomNA4sBTSM?t=44s- i think this is really clear, strong guitar sound For solo: - great play but also a nice tone. Good thing is that he plays it on pod 500, but i don't know how he record that stuff. My record way is right now: Guitar-Cable to guitar input-POD-USB Cable-Computer I use Reaper as i mentioned before and orginal ASIO drivers from line6 If you tell that it will be huge difference with other way to recording then i will consider this, but i want to know about all the necessary stuff like cables, second interface or microphone etc. that i should buy. Yesterday i record something: https://soundcloud.com/artur-futerko/chuj/s-6ombe#t=0:42 It is only test. I used some presets from line6 download and i did a little bit of edit in Reaper (equalizer). I know that guitar is a little bit out of tune and i also play some random stuff - it was only messing with POD. Here is some of my old stuff, but this was recorded on Pod XT: https://soundcloud.com/artur-futerko/futerko-steel-for-humans-witcher-3-metal-cover-percievalmarcin-przybylowicz https://soundcloud.com/artur-futerko/futerko-heart-of-courage-two-steps-from-hell-metal-remix PS. I recorded also electro-acoustic guitar on POD and i use stock effect for acoustic and it sound really great!
  10. I was trying to set up a portable recording solution for my Helix. Since I am not an Apple guy, no iPad, I was hoping for an Android solution. I found n-Track Studio for Android for $20 that does multi-track recording and the latest Kindle Fire with Android 5.0 for $49. Hooked it up to the Helix USB using an OTG cable and it recognizes the Helix in the audio setup. Only problem is it only shows zero for sample rate and buffer size. :( Other than that it looks great and has a ton of features. I really thought that since Helix was "class compliant" it would be a perfect solution. As it sits now, the guys at n-Track are trying to figure out the issue. They are waiting for a response from Line 6 so hopefully they will play nicely and get it resolved. I really don't want to drag a laptop around... Has anyone else been able to get a portable recording setup working over USB? Apple or Android? Or even just audio playback over USB with Android? BTW, even if it never works, the Fire is a steal at $49... ;)
  11. Hi guys. I'm a guitar enthusiast. I'm going to be switching from NI's Guitar Rig to an hd500x in a few weeks. My current studio setup is: Alesis Monitors (RCA inputs available) Saffire Pro 24 audio interface Guitar Rig 5 guitar software Ableton Live 9 Suite Mac desktop FCB1010 MIDI foot controller How do I connect the HD500x to my current setup so that I get sound/signal from the unit into the monitors/Ableton Live for jamming, practicing, and recording?. (I'm just interested in the connections not the actual DAW setup) On my Saffire Pro I have the following input options available: - SPDIF (RCA) - XLR - 1/4" line inputs Thanks I hope I will get to know some of you in the next few months via this forum :) JG
  12. Hi all! This is Andre, I speak from Brazil and I need some guidance on how to get the best out of my recordings with Pocket Pod. Hope this catch your attention. I currently use Pocket Pod’s AMP OUT plugged into a guitar link USB interface, which goes straight to my laptop. I set it to DIRECT MODE. To listen to what I’m playing while recording, I use POD DIRECT OUT into my peavey 15w amplifier. It’s working as a monitor. And to listen to what was recorded, I use an Edifier speaker, plugged in my laptop. Obviously, neither the amp nor the speaker are good references to the REAL sound. What I need is make sure that when I tweak the knobs on my pocket pod, I’ll listen to the real changes through my monitor, and listen to the same tone through my speaker after recording. Do I need a pair of proper monitors? I hope you can tell me what I need to do. Thanks in advance Andre
  13. Hi everyone! I'm trying to record my POD HD 500x directly into Studio One 3. So, while recording, I want to listen only to the Studio One's track monitoring, since I'm doing some amp modeling with VST plugins. I don't want to listen to the guitar sound that comes out directly from the POD output, but only to the computer's playback. Studio One doesn't gives you the chance to use an audio device to the recording and another to the playback, so both operations need to be done by the same audio device, in tis case, my POD HD 500x. What is happening, is that, while recording, I'm listen to the Studio One's playback and also the direct guitar output from the POD. Is there a way to get around this, so I can listen only to the DAW's playback without buying some external audio interface?
  14. Hello fellow audio engineering junkies!! I just recently downloaded Line6's POD HD500X software along with a patch that has opened right to 'Setlist 1'. I do not have an external Line6 device, however, I do have an Akai Professional MPK25 USB/Midi Performance Keyboard and just recently bought my Tascam US 2x2 Audio Interface to record with and I was having Issues with setting up my POD HD500X with my MPK25 midi keyboard. Is there a way to arm devices through Line6 or arm the pod through any other programs like my Mixcraft 6 recording software? I have a midi patch set up on a setlist, yet It Is not registering through my midi. If anybody has any suggestions on how to run and arm Line6 through various devices then I would love to know ASAP. If there are any drivers that would make this possible, please feel free to link It In your reply. I would like to start creating and downloading patches to use for my devices, but I need It to come through on them first!! Here's Hoping, Brendan
  15. Hello, I am trying to record in my DAW using my Amplifi TT, but I am having some difficulty as I am able to hear my input both though the DAW and out of the device itself. I also have a POD HD 500X, and the audio control panel has a "Hardware Monitor Level", which has the exact function I am looking for on my Amplifi TT. My input is going in the guitar in, and the output is via the headphone out. I have the TT connected to my computer via USB. If I mute the input in my DAW, I can hear the TT's input fine. When I unmute it, I can hear it "stacked" twice, so to speak. Can someone assist me so that I can only hear the output through my DAW? Thank you!
  16. Hi everybody ! I have a problem with pod farm vst in reaper. I was recording song earlier today and i recorded only dry signal for each track. But then i saw that new version of pod farm available so i downloaded it and installed. now when i open my reaper project i only hear dry guitar though the pod farm is added as fx. 17. I have been a user of the pod hd 500x and reaper for a while now and have had no problems at all. but after the windows 10 update I'm unable to record. my computer and reaper recognize the hd500x and everything is completely updated. but once I open reaper to record I make a new track and arm the track to record but reaper doesn't pickup the sound from the pedal. I can physically hear it myself through my floor monitor and even reaper uses the pedal to send sound to. so I can play old tracks I recorded before from reaper to the pedal to the speaker. I am just confused....... I have literally tried everything! there is nothing I haven't tried and I am getting frustrated. hopefully I can get some help, thanks.
  18. i connect my pod500x to mac ,use logic to record.but when i just play or record, the amps and all the effects,eq etc are activated .i can disable it from the mixer bar.but the amp from gallery is still on,which changes the original sound coming from pod hd500x.therefore,i was wondering if there is a way to bypass the amp sound from logic,so i can record the exact sound coming from only my hd500x. can any one help with this please.
  19. I've only had the fx 100 for about week, but i already love it. I've recorded some stuff using the mains out into a Presonus audio box, into Presonus Studio Pro, and it sounded great, but i did the available update, and now I want to try using the USB straight into my laptop. I couldn't find a tutorial on this, how do i get started?
  20. Hello, i have a problem with dry signal recording with podhd500. I use podhd500 as audio interface, i record my dry guitar tone by disable all processes in podhd500 and by switch to tunner mode. After hear 2 sound demo, i find that dry tone by "tunner mode" sound more cleaner than by "disable all processes". I wonder which is really dry signal... Or anyone can show me a good way to record dry signal with podhd500 as audio interface?
  21. I use my POD HD500X for recording guitar However, the quality of what i get doesn't seem the best: it sounds always too distorted/gainy compared to what I hear when I play on my amp (Line 6 Spider IV 15). I really don't know if it is really just too distorted or is it because the built in audio interface quality that it's just not very good I use a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro, connected (with jack cable) to the POD, and the directly via USB to my laptop. I use Audacity and Audition for Recording (I have ASIO installed too) Don't know why it doesn't sound good... please help, thanks in advance!
  22. I am using Pod HD500x and Audio Technica M50x headphones. If I connect my headphones directly to the Pod HD 500, the sound I get is amazing. However, when I use the Pod for recording with USB and listen to the sound of he monitor of DAW with PodHd500X being the output, it is not that great and the quality drops a lot. How can I get the sound of Pod HD 500 (the one I get directly from headphones) into my recording? I can't seem to prevent the quality from dropping.
  23. Hi guys, I've recently bought a Pod HD500X and have installed some software to go with it (license manager, monkey, HD500X Edit, PodFarm 2), but I can't seem to license PodFarm 2. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, and unauthorized and reauthorized my computer, but I can't get it licensed. The application opens but prompts me to buy a license for the unauthorized software (which I already have from buying my Pod). Not sure if there's something simple I've completely missed or if it's a bit more of a tedious fix, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Just want to get recording :) Thanks in advance, James
  24. Hello pod'ers!! I hope you can help me... (please) I am attempting to record using this awesome PODHD500X into a FOCUSRITE 18i20 audio interface and then to my pc (usb) (pc is brand spanking new: i7, 16GB RAM, ssd, etc... I have invested heavily in all new equipment as I was tired of using my old stuff and tired of troubleshooting :( Anywho, the sound when I play hearing from the monitor is great! but when I record there is a really bad feedback in playback... sounds almost like a flanger delay but it's distorted and it doesn't matter whether I play clean or distorted... which really stinks because everything else records great from my focusrite except this pod :(... pod sounds good directly (using headphones) or using the audio interface.. it only happens while recording.... I am using the balanced xlr outputs into 2 channels into focusrite (I also attempted using one channel only... it doesn't matter, the background noise is there... it records the sound I play but also this really bad background flanger noise... please help!!)... don't make me call tech support  ... any recommendation is welcome!! (specially if it relates to the subject)... **Also, do you think I should update the firmware for this pod? if so, is there a direct URL... when I click on the ones on the site takes me to the shop but I see no download for this firmware.... Thanks much again!!!
  25. Connecting a pod HD via Usb captures the preamp of the floor processor right? Would it be possible to capture a Marshall amp head via the 4 cable method by connecting a pod HD 500X to a computer via Usb with the help of a proper signal chain? Im looking forward to buy the HD 500x and i use the 4 cable method a lot, and record via usb. But i would like to record the amp head, not the pre-amps. Is this possible without micing the cabinet? thx
