  1. Hey guys! The new Helix firmware 2.9 is here and it came with the purple channel from the amazing Revv Generator 120. Brutal sounding for sure. I put together this track with of course, my Solar Guitars A 1.6 Artist and I am using Ownhammer Impulses. This thing is sounding brutal and for those of you who are curious, it will be my monthly Helix patch that I make available to all of my supporters on Patreon as well as my new MEMBERS here on YouTube. Thanks for watching. Thanks for all the continued support. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe and healthy. Cheers guys.
  2. Today we are going over how I developed a dual amp metal tone with the Line 6 Helix Rack using Ownhammer Impulses. I walk you through my process as well as give some sound examples throughout. I ended up using the both the Line 6 Badonk amp model as well as the Revv Red amp model which of course is modeled after the Revv Generator 120. I used Ownhammer IRs and specifically one from their true stereo Zilla 412 pack that uses vintage 30 speakers and a Royer 121 mic.
  3. Hey Guys, Today I walk you through building a metal guitar tone using the Line 6 Revv Red amp model which is based on the Revv Generator 120. I am using my Solar Guitar A1.6 Artist into the Line 6 Helix using Ownhammer impulse responses.
  4. I wanted to have my Revv G3 and G4 pedals inside a POD HD500, but when I've looked up Revv amps in Line6 processors, the only one available is Revv Generator 120 in the Helix. And I really want that G3/G4 tone (as corresponding to the Purple and Red channels of Revv Generator 120 Mk.2), and wondering if there will ever be like a "DLC" with those effects, even if it'll be as a paid additional pack.
  5. There are already plenty of threads out there dealing with 2.8 issues. I thought I start a place to talk about what we all like about it. I haven't spent alot time with 2.8, as I will admit I dealt with user update errors ( I'm 2 for 2 lol). What do you like about it? What is your favorite addition? for the amps how do you use the settings ? are there any members out there that know how to dial in these amps in real like that could give insight? funny posts and thread hijacks are expected. GO!!! For me the default low and high cuts on the stock cabs in the new templates was appreciated and improvement to workflow. I'm generally a high gain player with the EPIC amp being my go to monster, Revv is nice so far, but I was shocked at how nice the grammitco amp series is. really looking forward the future updates and progress. Well done folks at Line 6.
