  1. My JM4 was crashing/restarting anytime I tried to save a project to the SD card. I called customer service and learned that SD cards larger than 2 gigs will cause this to happen. I had an 8 gig card in my unit. So I removed the 8 gig card and the issues was resolved. Reason? For some reason (sorry I didn't get any details from the Line 6 rep I spoke with) when the JM4 was released the largest SD cards out there were only 2 gigs. So in my case when it tried to access an 8 gig card it simply didn't know what to do, freaked out, and executed a re-boot. I can only can wonder what it would have done had I installed a 32 gig card!. If the moderator of this forum has a more definitive answer to this issue, I'm sure we'd all appreciate learning more. The JM4 is really a unique product. It may technically be "old" these days, but it is still a very powerful creative tool.
  2. I use my HX FX in preset mode generally. I have different tap delay times in each of my presets. What I used to be able to do at practices was lightly tap on the tap tempo button and dial in a tempo if as a band we needed to change things. I did NOT hit the save button and when changing presets and going back to the original preset the 'new' tempo would still be there. I have updated the firmware a few times over the year and realised that this feature no longer happens unless I deliberately hit the save button before existing the preset. I have checked that global settings for tempo are set to 'preset'. Can I get this feature back?
  3. I'm new to the Helix, and I have the full floorboard model. When saving the presets I've worked on, I save them into a folder in which I call "Fundamentals". Sometimes I like to look at the factory presets to see what they do and how they path certain things together; however, when I go back to my "Fundamentals" folder, it's filled with the factory presets and not the presets that I worked on and saved. Apparently, they are backed up in the Templates folder even though I saved all my made presets to the "Fundamentals" folder, but I never know if I'm going to get them back every time. Is there a fix for this or is it something faulty with the saving function?
  4. Seeing as one can edit pretty much anything on the fly with your foot (which I think is a fab feature) I would have thought one should be able to save any changes with your foot as well. Is there a way of doing this? Am I missing something because its not really practical to have to keep remembering to press the save button or click a Mouse after a rehearsal or performance
  5. I keep getting an error message when trying to save a newly created tone using FX100 and ipad. I'm logged in. Any suggestions?
  6. Has anyone else noticed any strange behaviours with writing tones to my tones? I am prompting the fire hawk fx to "save to my tones" which I would assume would over write any pre-existing tones (compared to save to my tones as) with that exact same title - however it often creates duplicates or sometimes three or four variations. Anyone notice this? I feel like if there's any slight difference in the patch - even if you use save to my tones it will create another version
  7. "Error saving download file Reason(code 8000600B) Incompatible systems" What to do?
  8. Ok so I recently purchased an M5 and I have read the manual several times regarding this and I still cant figure out how to save presets. I want to swap the 24 pre loaded presets for 24 of my own presets. I clearly must be doing something wrong because when I follow the steps in the manual the name doesn't change and the original effect stays in preset 1. Can anybody help me with this ? Thanks
  9. So you got the perfect sound... Now you want to save your own patch... Press 'SAVE' to bring you to the "SAVE TO:' screen. The bottom 4 knobs are critical to this process as they change the values that are directly positioned above. The first knob alternates between saving in Tone 1 and Tone 2, the third knob moves the cursor left and right, and the fourth knob changes the character that the cursor is positioned under. Use these knobs to select whether you want to save the patch to Tone 1 or Tone 2 and to change the name of the patch itself. Once you have set the name and tone position, use the save knob to choose which bank you want to save this to, then press the save knob again to save it.
