  1. I apologize if this topic already exists in the forum. I was searching on how to set up tone/volume in chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC. I didn't find the answer in Forum. My Spider V 30 is connected correctly to PC via USB and there is a sound of TL in Cubase. In Cubase, I choosed ASIO Spider V driver. I/O is Speder V (L&R) - Active. ASIO buffer Size is set to: Extra Small. I can record my TL from SpiderV 30 via USB and reproduce my records, too. It is not a problem, it works. But, quality of record is desperate and not acceptable, too. The sound is dark, blurry, somehow smudged and does not match what I hear on Spider V 30 while playing & recording. E.g effect as drive is not OK and corrupts the recorded. This is especially pronounced when I strumming all the strings. When I am playing finger style in clear sound or near clear, it is a better. It seams to me that solution is to set properly the tone on all devices in the chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC. Acctually to set properly the tone/volume of input signal to PC or output signal from Spider V 30 via USB. When I am playing acoustic guitar via USB Audio Interface (UAI), I can adjust Input signal at UAI and all works fine. But at Spider V 30 there is not possibility to adjust Input signal. I can adjust tone at TL guitar as imput signal to SpiderV 30, but it changes a sound of guitar at SpiderV 30. Or I can reduce/decrease Master tone of SpiderV 30, but I can not hear what I am playing. Please, give me opinion regarding this topic. How to properly set up tone of all devices in chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC? What are your experiences with this?
  2. 日本語は下記をご覧ください 。 How to Activate Helix Native Download the latest version of Helix Native at http://line6.com/software/. Run the Helix Native installer. We suggest you temporarily disable all third party antivirus programs during the installation. During the install, take note of the VST3 and AAX Plugin folder locations. If you choose to install the PC VST2 plugin, you will be able to choose your own folder location. On Mac, VST2 is installed at /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/. PC VST2 only: Open your recording program's preferences and point it to the folder that Helix Native was installed to. Start your DAW, create an audio track, then add Helix Native as a plugin (see below for links to your particular DAW). On first run, you will be prompted to sign in to your Line 6 account to authorize your license. Individual DAW Set-up Articles Pro Tools Cubase Garage Band Reaper Studio One Sonar Logic Pro X Ableton Live Q: I can't find the Helix plug-in, even after following the steps in the articles above. A. Possible causes: The default VST3 folder on Windows is C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\. Ensure your DAW has scanned that directory. Helix Native is a VST Effect. When searching your DAW's plug-ins list, make sure to look under VST Effects and not VST Instruments. Helix Native is 64-bit only, and therefore won't appear in a 32-bit DAW. Q: What are the default locations for Helix Native plug-in files? This version of Helix Native plug-in installs on a Mac to: AU Plug-in : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Helix Native.component VST2 Plug-in : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Line 6/Helix Native.vst VST3 Plug-in : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Line 6/Helix Native.vst3 AAX Plug-in : /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Line 6/Helix Native.aaxplugin This version of Helix Native plug-in installs on Windows to: VST3 Plug-in : C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Line 6\Helix Native (x64).vst3 AAX plugin: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Line 6\Helix Native.aaxplugin n NOTE: The VST2 plugin installation location, if installed, will be determined by the user during the installation process. Macでは、VST2は /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ にインストールされます。 AU Plug-in : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Helix Native.component VST2 Plug-in : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Line 6/Helix Native.vst VST3 Plug-in : /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Line 6/Helix Native.vst3 AAX Plug-in : /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Line 6/Helix Native.aaxplugin このバージョンのHelix Nativeプラグインは、Windowsの以下の場所にインストールされます:: VST3 Plug-in : C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Line 6\Helix Native (x64).vst3 AAX plugin: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Line 6\Helix Native.aaxplugin NOTE: もしVST2プラグインをインストールした場合は、インストールの途中でユーザーが指定した場所になります。
  3. So, I'm having a problem, and I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I can hope one of you might be able to help. I'm a newbie to this kind of stuff, most of the time I've figured things out by random trial and error. The problem I'm having is that my microphone is not being detected by Windows, it doesn't show up at all. I've tried a variety of things, but if you think you have a solution, assume I haven't tried it. If you can, I would like details and step by step stuff, I'm not great at improv direction. I'm a streamer and Youtuber, and the mic and interface was chosen because it's the the popular choice among other streamers. Details of my setup: Mic: AT 2035 Interface: Line 6 UX2 PC: Custom OS: Windows 10 Pro Motherboard: Crossfire V Formula Z CPU: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.01 GHz Ram: 16.0 GB GPU: GTX 1080 Founder Edition Recording Software: OBS Picture 1: Current configuration of Pod Farm 2 Version: 2.59 Details: As seen, all three items in the configuration are turned on. Input is set to mic 1, and as seen from the levels the mic is working and the software is registering audio. Picture 2: Pod Farm License Manager Details: As seen, both my computer and the UX2 Interface are authorized. Something I see, there are add-on's in UX2 but not on my pc, not sure if that is significant. Picture 3: Playback and Recording Details: "Speakers 3 - Line 6 UX2" from the UX2 obviously "NVIDIA HDMI Output (Port 1 - 3)" Are my monitors "SONY TV - 4" Another of my monitors "AT Headphones" My headphones "Realtek Digital Output (1 - 2)" Not sure, but from the disc that came with my motherboard "Digital Audio Interface 3 - Line 6 UX2" from the UX2 obviously "Microphone" This is not the AT 2035. I'm unsure what it is, but when listening to audio its just the same droning noise. Might be an audio jack on the computer itself. "Line In" No clue on this. "Stereo Mix" Not sure what this does, but it is also from the disc that came with the motherboard. That's everything that I can think to include. If you need more information in order to help I will do my best to answer. So, if you might know of a solution, please do say.
  4. Im using four cable method with my Fender Bassbreaker. Anything i need to know? Specifically...do I need to turn down the levels on the Return on the loop and should I set it as Instrument out or Line Out? In short, I don't want to overload anything. Thanks
  5. I have a Line 6 POD HD500x and a Mesa Boogie Mark IV. I play a Gibson Studio, Gibson P90 Midtown and a Fender Tele (see pic). I play in a cover band. What is the BEST way to configure the two pieces of equipment? Sorry for the NUBIE question, I have looked all over the threads here and nothing really answers my questions. Ideally i would like to set up amps and effects accurately to the bands i am covering. This means i would have to set up a patch for each song in my setlist on the POD (which i have no problem doing since i have the time to program EACH song in the setlist) OR simply get a nice generic tone consisting of the following: Clean, Overdriven clean, Rock n Roll type Distortion. Along the lines of Mike Campbell, Pete Thorn, Neil Schon, Kings of Leon etc. I guess i can copy the patch to different presets and add effects pertain to the song as needed. I think this is the easier way but I'm a stickler for accuracy in my playing and in my sound... In other words... I DONT WANT TO BE PLAYING AN 80'S METAL TONE FOR HOTEL CALIFORNIA. Sorry for the essay but if you guys have any ideas drop me a note. Thanks Hickdood
