  1. Hiya everyone! Long time reader, first time poster. So I've had a Mk2 Shortboard NIB for years and never had a need for it... until now . However the FBV Control App is giving me an aneurism regarding the tap tempo control using the stomp button. Basically I can't identify which selection of options in the FBV Control App will allow me to control the tap tempo of delays on my Pod HD Pro. All of the others are really simple and self explanatory eg Bank Change, Program change, etc. Even the midi CC control ones make sense. Is this a setting that if I leave the "Tap" button on the floorboard as "Unassigned" then it defaults to delay tempo control for all patches? Or do I actually need to specify this somehow? Because I can't find an option that does that. And if it's a midi trigger, there isn't a 1-127 number mapped to the tap function by default. Pic is of an empty preset since I am at work and don't have the board with me, but everything else is set up on my preset at home except for the tap control. Please help Line6 demigods, I request your knowledge in this time of peril! :D
  2. Hello everyone I recently bought an fbv shortboard for my pod hd pro. Unfortunately, when plugging the shortboard in to my pod, it simply isn't being detected at all. No lights, no functions. I then hooked it up to my computer via USB were it was detected. I updated all drivers and flash via line 6 monkey. I couldnt find any help on the internet on how to get the fbv to work with the pod! This is really really disappointing. However, I then plugged the shortboard into to VARIAX input of my pod (I know this is not were it goes, but i needed to find out, whether the cable worked at all) and the shortboard was detected, but i simply couldnt do anything with it. Would someone please tell me, what I am doing wrong? P.S. I tried calibrating the pedal and that wont work (via USB to computer) either.
  3. Got a JTV guitar and spider jam amp a couple of years ago. Recently added a MKII shortboard. I'm now in the process of purchasing a used pod hd500x. Here's what I'm trying to do: I would like to be able to assign guitar models and amp tones to a switch. I'm told by support that I can't do that with the shortboard-only assign amp tones. But, I will be able to mix and save models and amp tones with the new pod hd500x. Does that make the shortboard an un-needed piece of gear? Does it contribute anything to the equation, or is it superfluous with the addition of the pod hd500? I don't play pro, I just like to like down tracks with the spider jam amp and play them for friends.
  4. If you're using the FBV 3, or the FBV Shortboard MKII with the Spider V series, you have the option of utilizing an external expression pedal. The external pedal would be plugged into the EXP Pedal jack on the FBV. This is how they interact with the Spider V's patches. On patches without tweak assign to pedal, the external pedal becomes volume, the on-board pedal controls wah position, and toe switch toggles wah bypass. On patches with tweak assigned to pedal, the external pedal controls the tweak-assigned parameter. The on-board pedal controls volume and wah, and the toe switch toggles between wah and volume control.
  5. Hi guys, My 'Stomp' switch is dead, it click but does not activate or deactivate. Is there a way to calibrate the switch or a trick to make it live again? Or is there a way to reconfig the switches so I can set the 'stomp' function to anther (good working) switch? Cheers
  6. Anyone know what the functions of the FBV Express and FBV Shortboard are with this amp?
  7. Dear, Support Team! Can you provide an update for the Spider Jam amp, please? This Update should contain another user mode for the Shortboard MKII, because nobody needs a half time function on the D stomp. Better make it possible to switch between "Guitar" and "Mic/Aux" as a looping source on the D-Stomp. Further on, it would be awesome if you could give "Function 2" a function. As an example: It should be usable as an extended looper function. Let's say, it should be possible to individually program all the stomps when using function 2 or at least make it possible to switch on/off single looping tracks or at least regulate the volume of recorded loops with the pedal. There are so many stomps there with functions assigned, nobody needs when working with the looper. I'd rather use the stomps for changing banks (on function 2-mode) for changing looping layers and give the other stomps a function when looping. I bought the amp together with the board in order not to use a computer for looping on stage. You do not mention in the shortboard's description that one cannot assign the stomps individually when connected to the Spider Jam. I don't know who designed the looping function on the shortboard when connected to the amp, but I'm sure, this person didn't experience it for too long -.- Best! Anton
