  1. I'm bought a FBV shortboard wich i wanna use with a spider IV amplifier. I'm searcing for a manual. The board is working, but it only switches between the four channnels. Volume pedal, reverb and delay are working, but there are no leds burning. Is there a way i can reset the board??
  2. Hi everybody, I have a spider V, but i wanna buy any footswitch for it, and on the web I found some of second hand. I found: - Shortboard MK1 - Old floorboard - FBV express mk1 I believe those aren't incompatible with spider V, but these have the same connector what footswitch compatibles, Why are incompatible?
  3. Hiya everyone! Long time reader, first time poster. So I've had a Mk2 Shortboard NIB for years and never had a need for it... until now . However the FBV Control App is giving me an aneurism regarding the tap tempo control using the stomp button. Basically I can't identify which selection of options in the FBV Control App will allow me to control the tap tempo of delays on my Pod HD Pro. All of the others are really simple and self explanatory eg Bank Change, Program change, etc. Even the midi CC control ones make sense. Is this a setting that if I leave the "Tap" button on the floorboard as "Unassigned" then it defaults to delay tempo control for all patches? Or do I actually need to specify this somehow? Because I can't find an option that does that. And if it's a midi trigger, there isn't a 1-127 number mapped to the tap function by default. Pic is of an empty preset since I am at work and don't have the board with me, but everything else is set up on my preset at home except for the tap control. Please help Line6 demigods, I request your knowledge in this time of peril! :D
  4. Hi folks, struggling to motivate myself with the Spider Jam amp I have. Firstly, I got it free (unexpectedly) with a second hand guitar I bought; secondly, I got quite excited when I researched info and reviews about it. However, it’s volume control seems to act like a Fender amp, i.e. barely audible 1-2 or 1-3, then effing loud beyond that. Its cleans are ok, where they are clean and not subject to modulation, except the ‘blues - green’ which is excellent. The presets are pretty crap except 50s/60s songs, and those are guitar-dependant for authenticity - everything else sounds very flat or hair-metal inspired. However, in order to fix this you have to deep dive through menus (scant info in either manual downloaded; videos online more like infomercials). This is where my biggest problem lies: the cost of a new and under warranty, never mind mint condition used, fbv3 or fbv shortboard mk2 foot controller is ridiculous for what they are, and almost begs the question of whether to ditch the old tech and buy a Positive Grid Spark, or go for the foot controller (which one works best?) and persevere with the SJ? Open to the floor...
  5. Hi everybody, I'm a new owner of a FBV shortboard mkii. I can't understand if it's possible to dowload some new effects on FBV mkii or create them... where and how... (I've just dowloaded the manual but, forgive me, maybe because I'm italian and the manual is in english only, it's seems to me not to find the answers I'm looking for) Someone help me, please! Thanx
  6. Hi, My shortboard has developed a fault. It powers up, the volume and wah lights flash once and the display says LINE 6 - then nothing happens. None of the buttons work. I've tried different cat5 cables. Any ideas? Is there a way to reset it? I'm using it with a Pod X3 Pro. Thank you.
  7. Has anyone ever actually tried a FBV Shortboard Mk1 with an Amplifi product via the FBV input? I realise everything says officially only the MkII (2) Shortboard will work, but given the only real difference appears to be a lack of a USB port, I'm thinking it should work? Obviously I would not be able to re-program the board via the USB software like the MkII. Thanks, M.
  8. Can I copy settings from one bank to another? The manual is pretty sparse for this pedal controller. Thanks
  9. Greetings, Recently purchased a Spider V/120. Immediately I see that I will need a foot controller; I think I knew that but I wanted validation. My brain (wallet) tell me that the Mk II Shortboard is a good deal now at $149.00 Vs the FBV 3 Pro for $249.00. Functionally, it seems the Shortboard does everything one would need, well except, of course, for the pretty lights. I like the pretty lights. Other than the aforementioned pretty lights and the updated buttons/looks, are there any substantive differences? I'm really tired of wasting my money and if there is no real value I would really prefer to know up front. Thanks for any advice anyone may offer. It is much appreciated. Regards, wtrawick North End Studio Anchorage AK

  11. Hi, I've recently purchased the FBV shortboard mk2 to replace my beringer fcb1010 as a midi control pedal. As I'm a violinist none of Line6's amps are really suitable for me, but I'd love to take advantage of the functionality the rj45 port enables. There seems to be a bit of info regarding using non line6 foot pedals via rj45 with line 6 amps, but not the other way around. Is anyone able to help out with how it should be wired? Thanks heaps
  12. I purchased a FBV Shortboard MKII today for my LD300 bass amp. Works splendid, except for 1 thing: I cant go back to manual mode, using the shortboard. The amp's manual says that i need to keep the active preset pressed until the amp goes into manual mode, but that doesnt happen. I also tried to tap it once, keep it pressed, but nothing works. What am i doing wrong? btw, Shortboard has the latest firmware loaded.
  13. Hi guys, I have googled this problem and scanned the forums and have not seen any solutions. What I want to do is be able to change the ABCD on my pedals in the banks to my own settings. Example: I want to play tool lateralus. (bank1) A) intro B)course C)solo ect. but then switch to bank 2 for the next song. I guess the problem is I do not want the presets that are already in place, I would like to alter them to fit my own playstyle. I cannot plug in the spider jam to my computer as it physically just cant do that. So I am all out of ideas.
  14. Hi all I'm not sure if this is the right category to post this topic, but here goes.. I've got a spider valve 112 MKii and an FBV shortboard mkII. I also have the UX2 sound card which I use with pod farm 2 software. Now I use the shortboard to do all the good things I can do with the Spider Valve, but I also want to use it as a controller for the pod farm. I've read the FBV manual and I've seen I can do that and also save setting patches for the FBV. My question is this, if I connect the FBV to my computer and farm2, change settings and save a patch and then unplug everything and plug the FBV to the Spider Valve, will it work as before? Or do I have to save a special patch for the SV somewhere and load it everytime I want to use it with my amp? I guess whatever the answer is, the same would be true for the FBV Express mkii, right? Thanks in advance!!
  15. Hi Everyone, I'm seriously considering to buy the Amplifi 75 and also the FBV Shortboard MKII. I've been reading the threads here and I must say I don't feel confident enough to buy them because I don't have a service center or anything nearby I can return them to. Once I buy them, they are with me for life. As I read, after the 2.x firmware update, Android can control the Amplifi as well. Could you tell me anything about this? Are there connectivity issues or anything else? How has been your experience so far? I have an Android phone (Xiaomi MI3), I'm hoping this will work with it but ideally I'd like to use my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with an Android emulator running on it to emulate a tablet. Or is there another way to control it from Windows (10)? Are there any major differences between the phone and tablet version of the app? Despite all the problems people are experiencing, are they worth to buy? Thank you in advance. Cheers!
  16. Hi everyone, I'm still reasonably new to the Line 6 world so bear with me. I have a AMPLIFi 150 and a Shortboard MKII which I use when my iPad isn't nearby to switch between presets, etc. My question is, can I use a Mission Engineering Expression pedal (say as a wah?) with the AMPLIFi + shortboard? I have it attached to the MKII but I don't know how (or if?) the AMPLIFi will recognize it? Thanks!

  18. I picked up a Spider IV 30 and a FBV Shortboard MKI. Can I make them work together or have I wasted some money? Where can I get a manual for the FBV Shortboard MkI, they don't have them on the Line 6 webpage? Thanks for any info you can supply me. David
  19. So I just got the FBV Shortboard MkII a couple of days ago and I've figured most of it out but I can not for the life of me figure how to get the tap tempo to work with a delay that I have on my Pod Hd Pro X. I've figured out how to assign certain effects to my shortboard but I just can't get the tap tempo to work. Thanks in advance for anyones help!
  20. Does anyone know if the AMPLIFi can be used with the Fbv 1 shortboard, and if so, what all can it do? I just bought a Flextone 3 amp for fun, but I want to get the floorboard for it soon and I was hoping to be able to use it with the AMPLIFi also.
  21. Hello everyone I recently bought an fbv shortboard for my pod hd pro. Unfortunately, when plugging the shortboard in to my pod, it simply isn't being detected at all. No lights, no functions. I then hooked it up to my computer via USB were it was detected. I updated all drivers and flash via line 6 monkey. I couldnt find any help on the internet on how to get the fbv to work with the pod! This is really really disappointing. However, I then plugged the shortboard into to VARIAX input of my pod (I know this is not were it goes, but i needed to find out, whether the cable worked at all) and the shortboard was detected, but i simply couldnt do anything with it. Would someone please tell me, what I am doing wrong? P.S. I tried calibrating the pedal and that wont work (via USB to computer) either.
  22. Hello Guitar Pros and sonic experts. I got an issue with my FBV Shortboard MkII because it goes blank when i connect it to my POD 2.0. It does not seem to control the thing. Am i doing something wrong here? or is the Shortboard MkII just not able to control or not compatible to my POD 2.0? and if not, is it possible to mod the FBV shortboard MkII so that it can control my POD 2.0? I need your help. Pls advise. Rgds NT
  23. HI So Im currently running through a pod hd pro through my 5150 and using a line 6 shortboard MKII(not the express). I have no clue how to use the looper function. There is no block in the actual unit and no "looper" button on my pedal. I have read that you CAN still use the looper function with this pedal and that its a global function(thats why there's no block in the chain). I need some help asap. Thanks!
  24. Hello everyone, I was wondering if I could use a friend's Pod Floor Plus simply as a footswitch controller on stage for my Pod HD Pro. The things is that I only want the Floor Pod to switch the presets of my HD Pro and to assign the effects to the buttons (as it can eb done in a shortboard MK II). How would it be connected? Thanks in advance to you! :) Xavi
  25. is there not a way to connect my MKII Shortboard via USB and download new tones to use on my Spider III 150w amp head? ALSO, isn't there a way I can connect the MKII and "fine tune" my effects I currently have on there? for example: custom naming my banks/presets... etc etc. just getting started on this and any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, ace
