  1. I have Toneport UX2 and am trying to record onto OBS. When acting as a sound card (i.e. watching a video), OBS picks up the audio. But when I try to record guitar or mic the sound does not get picked up. I've tried everything I can think of . Presently I record the video onto OBS and the audio into Sonar, then export the audio into OBS. Then I have to line up video and audio manually. Please can someone help me solve this problem.
  2. Hello evereyone, I was just confrontaded with a really weird issue with the DT25 Unit. Everytime i left my amp on the rehearsal room for as long as a week disconected from the power due to fire prevention, i found the amp with a really bad issue whem i try to start it again: all the lights from the switches turns on buts no sound comes out of the amp, just a quite noise. On the first time i reeinstalled without trouble the flash-unit and it helped. The second time the amp wasn´t recognized trought the Midi interface. Curiosly it started on his own after beeing setted on standby about an hour along without doing nothing with it. I noticed this because it did a typical clipping sound and after that just a few lights were on and it was ready to be played. It is well known not to let the power on inside rehearsal rooms when you left it. So my question is why is this happening in the first place. Is there a hidden battery which needs to be loaded on regular periods of times, and it is possible to replace this battery? Thanks up front for any hints and answers!
  3. Anyone ever ran into this problem? My high E string won't make a noise in modeling mode. It seems to play totally fine if I'm just running a regular amp setup except for some background feedback that is slightly irritating. As a way of background: A little over a year ago I bought a JTV-59P Variax and really liked it. I also bought the HD500X and the special cord to connect the two. I played on it for a few months. Keep in mind, I'm just play at home so none of this equipment went through any harsh anythings. Then I had to put it all on hold for a while due to school and work (while = 8 months) at which point this sucker was just in storage. Today I excitedly whipped it out. I had purchased the vintage HD download and so I connected everything, made sure it was all up to date, and started to play. Quickly I realized that the high E might as well not be on there in modeling modes. I checked the HD workbench and none of the string volume settings helped. I also turned off the modeling effects and it played with plenty of volume, but the moment I turn on modelling - NOTHING. Any ideas?
  4. I don't want to hear the signal when I'm tuning. Is there a way to be silent when you tune? Can't seem to find a way. What am I missing please? And yeah, I agree with the most of the OP's who point out this tuner needs work.
  5. Greetings, I have an HD500 that I purchased in 2012. I also have a Variax. I use the two together, with the Variax Ethernet cable. At the end of 2015 I updated the firmware on both the Variax and the HD500 to the latest and greatest at that time. I have most of my patches set to also select specific Variax models, including custom tuned models that I created. Everything was working GREAT until yesterday. As a fully immersed computer scientist with an electrical engineering degree as well, it would be strange to hear anyone suggest upgrading the firmware yet again from a configuration that was working fine for over a year. Hopefully, someone has knowledge of the root cause of the following problem, and we won’t need to travel the path of “spray and prayâ€. At this time, I have about 40 patches that work flawlessly. But 3 patches have begun some odd behavior. All three are basic, clean sounds; a noise gate, a red comp, a clean amp with maybe a slight bit of modulation and reverb on the back end. Each patch selects either the Variax banjo, sitar, or a custom tuning. The problem now is that all three of these patches (and only these specific three out of the 40 patches I have programmed) are now dead silent when foot selected. They were working fine a week ago. Since that time, I only made some output balance adjustments between some of the other 40 patches, and not these. If I’m in the POD HD500 Edit app on my desktop, with the HD500 connected via USB, I can load these dead-silent patches to the HD500 from the app and they come alive and sound fine. I can do a “save†on the HD500, and they still play. But as soon as I select another footswitch patch, and try to come back to these problematic patches, they are once again silent. I can even “push†the sound from the POD HD500 Edit, have it come alive and be playing, hit save on the HD500, push the same footswitch assigned to that patch, and it goes dead silent. I have tried a “restore†of sorts by loading saved bundles from 3 and 4 weeks ago. Same problem. I have tried rebooting the 500 (power cycling) --- same problem. I can bring up any working patch, and manually select (on the variax) the banjo, sitar, and custom tuning, and they play fine. Those settings on the Variax are alive and well. WTF, BBQ?!?
  6. I've been using my Spider Valve MkII HD100 head for four and a half years at rehearsals and live on stage, usually running it through a 4x12" Marshall speaker. After weeks of tweaking I finally got "my" sound out of it, and the fact is I got it to sound really, really great. Through these years it was the most reliable tool, never letting me down even once in all this time. The other day I turned the amp on to rehearse and there wasn't any sound through the speaker outputs. Some days earlier it worked just fine and no one had touched it. The digital part of it worked perfectly, it works as a POD through the line output this is. Off course I've tried with various cables and speaker cabinets and also other amp heads with the cabinets. I did a factory reset, checked the two fuses on the back, but didn't solve the problem. Does anyone know what it could be? Has any had the same problem with these amps? Peace. / PM
  7. My M5 started doing the "blue screen" where it never came on despite having the Line6 power supply. I actually dug out a power supply that put out 3 amps at the correct voltage just to double check that wasn't the problem. I removed a baseplate screw, scraped the case paint and replaced with a bare metal screw as suggested elsewhere-that solved the "on" problem. I can now reliably get the pedal to power on. It has, however, stopped passing audio in DSP mode (either bypass or effect on). In true bypass mode it will pass signal, so I've got to think the switch is OK. I've done a factory reset, and reloaded the firmware twice to no avail. Aside from disassembling it to see if there's a faulty ribbon cable, any other thoughts?
  8. Hi Folks, I want to use the HD500 as Soundcard/Interface for Cubase editing and monitoring but can't get any sound from the connected studio monitors. Hope you got an idea what I'm doing wrong! My POD inputs Cubase to POD via USB Variax to POD via Digital Cabel Keyboard Line out to POD AUX in My POD Outputs XLR out L&R to Adam F5 Studio Monitors Headphones on Phones out I ran the obove setup without the monitors up untill now and had no issues. Editing, playback, recording all works fine. Now to get rid of the headphone only setup I took one of the new studio monitors out of the box and connected it to one XLR balanced out but have no sound at all! I tried POD sound through Headphones => works Connecting the monitor to the Latops headphone out via 3,5" Klinke to RCA => works, so the monitor is ok. Changing XLR cabels didn't change anything => cable should be fine too Flipped through all POD setup options I could but found no mute/balance/setup options for XLR out => No clue if I missed something. If anybody has an idea what I'm missing I'd be very happy! THX
