  1. Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere (I looked but couldn't find the answer). I'm currently using the Relay G10T with my Spider V 120. It works great. It doesn't have a receiver because, apparently, it's already built into the 120. But I'd like to purchase some wireless headphones and was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to reduce interference or latency (if they've even had any problems), or if they use a particular pair of headphones and/or transmitter that work well for them. Any suggestions? Has anyone had any problems using wireless or bluetooth headphones simultaneously with the relay on their Spider V?
  2. Will "Hardware Monitor Level" setting be ever supported by Spider V ? It was extremely handy to turn "hardware" sound off while using DAW for POD HD 500. Right now I'm unable to turn the cab off on Spider and use IRs in DAW instead.
  3. I've looked for this answer and couldn't find it, so forgive me if I missed it. I've just downloaded the Remote software for Windows 10. But before I install it, I was wondering if there was a minimum amount of RAM required for its use, similar to other modeling software. Does anyone know? Also, I downloaded the driver (I saw the link on another post)--is that required also, or does it automatically come with the Remote software or upload when I connect to my amp? (I have a Spider V 120) It would be nice if there were clearer instructions on how to use this. I previously used the Line 6 AX2 212 (so Line 6 and I go way back), which was considerably less complicated, and there were much better instructions. I've already thought about returning my amp several times because of the lack of clear instructions and tutorials. I'm still not totally sold. I have until the end of January to make up my mind. I feel like Line 6 is driving away potential customers, particularly the analog "traditionalists". Cheers x
  4. Can someone please help me get a bass tone for my spider V 60. Yes I know its a guitar amp but my bass amp stopped working and my only option is this amp. Please help me:^(
  5. Hey, I just got a quick question. I bought a couple years ago the Line 6 Spider IV 150 (HC+cabinet). Now my HC is damaged and it'll cost too much to fix it. Anyway it's also time to buy me a new HC, and I saw the Line 6 Spider V 240 HC. My quick question is: can you combine the Spider V 240 HC with the Line 6 Spider IV 320W 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet
  6. Question: Can the FBV Express MkII 4-button controller be used with the Spider V 240HC?
  7. Hi all, Just a quick one. In the Spider 5 app, when searching the cloud for tones, all I ever get is exactly 30 results, whatever I search for. It's the same on every demo I've seen of it. Is there a way to search for more, or have Line 6 capped the search number for some reason? Seems a bit daft if so! Cheers
  8. The Spider V practice amp work as expected.
  9. When will we see the effects list for the new Spider V?
  10. I am curious if the new Spider V 240HC is compatible with the fvb shortboard mkII? I read that it IS compatible with the Spider V240. Thanks in advance.
  11. NOTE: We have discovered that the Cabinet Modeling switch is producing unintended results. We have fixed this in firmware 1.04, available very soon. Please download and use Line 6 Updater, found at www.Line6.com/software, to update your amp. See this article for updating instructions: How To Update the Spider V Amp The Cabinet Modeling switch was added so that if you don't want to run your guitar signal in full range with cabinet modeling, you can disable it for just the external speaker outputs. A good example for when to use this is if you have your own particular cabinet and you want to hear the natural sound of that cabinet with no cabinet modeling applied (like a traditional amp head). You can still use the direct outputs if need be in a live situation (common for our older amp products like DT50). With no external cabinet: The switch has no function. Cabinet modeling remains engaged regardless of the switch position. With an external cabinet plugged into the speaker outputs: The switch toggles cabinet modeling for the guitar signal that's sent to the speaker outputs. Switch is ON - Spider V treats the external cabinet and built-in tweeters as a full range system for guitar signals, with cabinet modeling applied in the preset. It also allows full range playback for built-in drum loops, the aux input, and USB playback. Switch is OFF - Spider V disables the cabinet block within the preset and sends the processed mono or stereo guitar signal to only the external speaker outputs. Its built-in speakers are turned off. The XLR, USB and Headphone outputs are fed with a guitar signal that is summed to mono and processed with a Spider 4x12 cabinet and SM 57 microphone model. These outputs can be used for recording or as a feed for a mixing board when playing live. Additional Information - The built-in 4" low-frequency speakers in the head switch off as soon as an external cabinet is connected. - All playback such as drum loops, the aux input and USB playback will continue to play through both the external cabinet and the built-in tweeters, regardless of the switch position.
  12. So... I bought the Spider V 120 a few days ago, and I've been creating some tones using the iOS Spider Edit app. Except for the fact that I keep losing contact with the amp (I think because the thunderbolt input on my iPhone 6 is flaky), I've managed to tweak a few tones to my liking. My question is: why doesn't Line 6 at least have a FAQ on how to use the Spider Edit app? (Or have I just been unable to find it?). It took me three days to stumble upon how to assign an expression pedal to a specific parameter (in case you don't know: by tapping twice on the parameter). I still don't know exactly where my tones are being stored (on the phone? in the cloud?). Nor do I know, except by trial and error, which stages of processing can be manually dragged to other other positions in the signal chain. I understand why Line 6 might have decided that it was just too much trouble to support both mobile device apps and Mac/PC apps, but is it really that much trouble to create a simple user guide for the mobile app? Is Line 6 really that financially stressed?
  13. Hello there Spider V user. My problem: If I want to use the tab Switch to tab the delay time, it dosen´t work. Also if I use the swich on my FBV3. Is it an function, that can be disabled in the menu of the amp? Would like to get an answer quick, cause I use the feature very often. Regards, Andreas PS: The Spider App does work so bad and there is no Editor for PC. I hope the Line6 Team will change the missing things rapidly. It is so uncomfortable, using the amp at home without an PC editor. Also it would be helpfull, the USB Unit on the Spider can load the tab by using, cause it is impossible to use app and loading with a separat unit at the same time.
  14. Hey People, I would like to use the headphone signal for the FOH mixer but also use the speaker in the amp at the same time. Is it possible to disable the "Speaker out, if a plug is in the headphone socket" function? I actually use the headphone out with an DI to get the signal to the FOH mixer. but so, I have no sound on stage. Or is it possible to get the signal out, like the DI out in the Spider V 120 and higher? I think the electronic boards in the amps will not so different... Regards
  15. If you're using the FBV 3, or the FBV Shortboard MKII with the Spider V series, you have the option of utilizing an external expression pedal. The external pedal would be plugged into the EXP Pedal jack on the FBV. This is how they interact with the Spider V's patches. On patches without tweak assign to pedal, the external pedal becomes volume, the on-board pedal controls wah position, and toe switch toggles wah bypass. On patches with tweak assigned to pedal, the external pedal controls the tweak-assigned parameter. The on-board pedal controls volume and wah, and the toe switch toggles between wah and volume control.
  16. Hello, all. Some Spider V customers have expressed that they were expecting a Mac/PC editor because the amp includes a USB port, and that the manual’s wording on item (17) in the Rear Panel Connections section adds to the confusion: MAC/PC/ANDROID USB B Port – Connect a Mac/PC or Android device (with OTG adapter) to edit tones, update, playback and record audio. Future releases of the manual will revise this wording to read: MAC/PC/ANDROID USB B Port – Connect a Mac/PC (update; playback/record audio) or Android device with OTG adapter (edit tones; update; playback/record audio). As it stands, there is no Mac/PC editor, but we are aware of the request for one. At this time, we cannot divulge if or when one will be released. We apologize for any misunderstandings. As always, you are encouraged to voice your opinion at line6.ideascale.com, where ideas are voted on and consistently reviewed by our Product Managers.
  17. I've heard possibly in the works..nothing validated
  18. Greetings, Recently purchased a Spider V/120. Immediately I see that I will need a foot controller; I think I knew that but I wanted validation. My brain (wallet) tell me that the Mk II Shortboard is a good deal now at $149.00 Vs the FBV 3 Pro for $249.00. Functionally, it seems the Shortboard does everything one would need, well except, of course, for the pretty lights. I like the pretty lights. Other than the aforementioned pretty lights and the updated buttons/looks, are there any substantive differences? I'm really tired of wasting my money and if there is no real value I would really prefer to know up front. Thanks for any advice anyone may offer. It is much appreciated.
