  1. I Everyone, this is my first post I'm Italian, sorry for the bad english ;-) the question is: Is it possible to use the HX Stomp as a controller for an exteral midi pedal switcher (like the disaster area dpc8ez) as described below? My goal is to set the unit always in snapshot mode, using a snapshot bank per song and the corrisponding 3 snapshot for the sections of the song (verse-chorus-solo/special) I want to use the unit solely for modulation, reverbs, delays and eventually amp simulation, using the dpc8ez (or other midi pedals switcher) as a controller for 3/4 analog drive pedals combination. So...can I assign each button for recalling a snapshot AND a preset on the pedal swicther? Example of a song/snapshot bank: - snapshot/switch n 1: no pedals from the switcher + some effects from the hx - snapshot/switch n 2: preset 1 on the pedal switcher and no effects from the hx - snapshot/switch n 3: preset 4 on the pedal switcher + some effects from the hx thanks in advance to everyone ciao from italy Teo
  2. A lot of trial and error with this new Helix LT I just got and am really enjoying it. Would like to play live with it eventually but don't want to get tripped up by the hardware as I am now. Thought I'd try some of the customtones and in particular something for playing RHCP under the bridge. Low and behold I found the RHCP Frusciante custom tone and downloaded. Been playing with it but FS11 is assigned 'Clean It Up', which does drop some of the distortion but unfortunately it also removes me from the STOMP screen and displays the pedal chain. None of the other assigned foot switches does this so I was wondering whats up? Any thoughts? And to be clear I also downloaded other customtones that also had the same effect but on different FS buttons. Thx in advance!
  3. Hi all. I am new on here but I am desperate for some help. Basically can you add extra footswitches to the helix? I want to be able to control the looper and maybe a couple of stomp effects from a different location to the helix (just a few feet away) Is there a pedal that can do this please? Many thanks Richard
  4. Greetings everyone and Happy Holidays! Today I released a bunch of Periphery Tones on my website and I'm also running a Holiday offer for these! https://www.sbtones.com/product-category/helix/?filter_artist=periphery Here are some samples for my tones: And here are some reviews from my customers: https://www.sbtones.com/reviews/ Let me know what you think! I worked very hard for these! Kind regards, George -SB Tones
  5. Sorry, but I just don't get it: As far as I understand the idea behind Screenshots, they are something like different states/charakters/variations of a certain preset. What you do in stomp mode is more like adding/bypassing certain "ingredients" of a preset. But at the end of they day both approaches control a) the on/off-state of one or more boxes b) parameters of one or more boxes? So what's the main difference in practical usage? Thanks!
  6. Hi! I updated to the newest Firmware v 2.30.0 and can now only have the helix display (4) stomps. In the prior firmware version I could choose 8 stomps. It appears that now the preset mode only allows for a combination of presets/stomps/snapshots. Is this correct? Is it possible for me to display on the helix 8 stomps like previous firmware?? Thanks, Andy
  7. Hey guys! So I'm encountering a very bad loud buzz. Let me explain. So im using the 4 cable method cause I want to be able to use the clean sound from my Blues Deville. I turned off all cab/amps sim, etc. Made sure that I was in line mode and also checked the ground lift. Anywho, so I saw in 2 videos that the fx loop block should be placed in before the amp. So I got a good clean sound, then I added delays and chorus, etc. But once i got to stomp, there it was, loud AF buzz coming from the amp. Now I moved the stomp block before the amp and it went away and the stomp sound wasnt quite right, then I turned off the stomp and the clean sound went to lollipop, sounded muddy and distorted. Then moved the stomp block after the amp again, the clean sound was back. Now going back and forth with fx loop block, lowering send/return volume, with the mix, etc. I cannot get the loud buzz away. I tried different amps and is the same issue. I tried the amp/line button and nothing, if i leave it on amp mode the overall volume lowers itself. Stomp mode button doesnt do anything either. I saw on the line 6 forum, only person wrote about the same issue. Has anyone ever encountered this? Or better yet has some input to provide to fix it? Thanks in advanced.
  8. Hi guys, During my rehearsal last night I step into a switch and couldn`t came back to stomp mode, can somebody help me with that..? does anybody know why this happened..? thank you..!!
  9. Hi All, I am writing you to propose the creation of a new footswitch mode which I believe would be very useful, especially for rehearsal or gigs. I usually use just a few presets (around 8), each including a few “direct access switches†such as volume boost on/off, modulation on/off that I often use. In order to do this I need to run my mighty Helix in STOMP footswitch mode. Unfortunately, this means that I have to step on BANK UP or DOWN every time I have to change the preset, in order to temporarily enter PRESET mode. This is not very comfortable as I have to always stomp two times to select a new preset. My proposal is to create a new mode, “MIX MODEâ€, where · FS2, FS3, FS4 and FS5: correspond to FS2, FS3, FS4 and FS5 footswitch of the STOMP MODE, · FS8, FS9, FS10 and FS11: correspond to FS8, FS9, FS10 and FS11 of the PRESET mode. This will allow the player to easily: 1. recall a new preset, by simply stomping on FS8, FS9, FS10 and FS11 (just one stomp) 2. activate/deactivate the preset’s FS2, FS3, FS4 and FS5 direct access switches using FS2, FS3, FS4 and FS5 (just one stomp) 3. Scroll through the banks by using FS1 and FS7 (just one stomp) This behavior would be similar to traditional MIDI controllers, such as MARK-L FX 25 ACE: it has a row of footswitches to recall presets and another one for direct access switches. What do you think of this idea?
  10. Firehawk Effects Blocks Basics In the Firehawk Remote editor, there are 12 effects blocks that you can turn on and off, and assign different models and parameters to. Some of them can be dragged to different locations, some can't. Of these twelve blocks, only five of them can be assigned as: · Drives and Dynamics · Mods · Delays · Filters, Synths and Pitch A quick way to tell which three can be assigned these effects types is that they have a border around them: Notice Stomp, Synth and Mod all are bordered. However, Reverb is selected, so its border is brighter. Here's how to change the effect type of those three blocks: 1. Select one of the three blocks by touching it. In this example, we'll select Stomp. 2. The effect will then show the effect type (in this case, "stomp"), the effect name ("Facial Fuzz"), and a power button to the right to turn the effect on or off. Touch the effect type to change it. 3. You'll then see a "Type" button. Touch it. 4. The block types then appear. Choose one. 5. The block has been changed. There is no restriction on the number of similar effect types or effects assigned to these three blocks. Three stomps, each with a Fuzz Pi on it? Go for it! Just don't forget to save your tone (cloud icon, then disc icon).
