  1. Hey guys I just started having a problem with my UX1 that I for the life of me cannot figure out. Iv had my UX1 for over a year now, i have never had an issue with it till today, with the snap of a finger its started acting up. I didnt change any settings from what iv been using, its always been updated and whatnot, but today I noticed that my playback while playing seems a little weaker than normal, its very minimal but enough to drive me insane, so once I went to record and listened to the recorded playback I was horrified at the sound. It sounds as if my tone has lost all low end and is nothing but a high pitched fuzz, its very quiet and this is driving me up the wall. Iv tried updating drivers and all that jazz but nothing works. I didnt change any settings with the UX1 or my recording programs. (Use audacity and magix studio) Its almost as if its not getting a good signal but at the same time the real time playback is almost just what its supposed to be like, iv tried different cables and different guitars and nothing. Any help with this is much appreciated, thanks.
  2. I just purchased my DL4 delay pedal and every time I turn it on my tone dies, my volume drops and my high end gets dull as can be. I spent $275 on this pedal and adapter so I would really like some suggestions on how to make it not suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a really nice handmade tube amp and every other pedal sounds amazing through it. thanks for your time.
  3. Ok so I am considering purchasing the POD HD500X because I am looking for a multi-effects processor with many different options and the ability to have many different presets. But what I want to do is run the effects from the POD but still have my particular amplifiers tone. Now I have a Bugera 333xl head with a B-52 4x12 cab, and I want to keep that tone and only use the POD for the effects. I have seen and read about the 4 cable method and I have the ability to do that with my effects loop, but when I go onstage I usually have to setup quickly, so I was wondering if it's still possible to just plug the guitar into the POD and have the other cable go straight to the front of my Bugera head and use no amp tones (from the POD) and only the effects but I can't seem to find a straight answer out there. I am looking forward to your responses and thanks in advance for the help.
  4. I got POD Farm a while ago with my UX2, but it has always had a bad sound. It sounds like it's being played through one of those little 9V-battery-powered amps, rather than a professional, high quality amp, even when the volume is turned up. No matter how much I turn up the gain (I've even boosted my treble to the max and cut the low-mids out), it still sounds like it's muffled, and it sounds really bad. Even when I plug the cable into it and it makes the buzzing sound that usually happens, even that sounds muffled. It sounds like I'm plugging it into a $15 interface rather than a professional guitar amplifier. NOTICE: I play different songs on YouTube that have the same settings as I use, and the songs I listen to there have a high-quality tone. So I'm almost certain it's not the speakers. HERE IS MY EQUIPMENT: -MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.8.5) PROCESSOR: 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MEMORY:3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM -Creative Inspire T3300 Speakers (They have a 1/8" input jack that I connect to the "headphones" input on the UX2 using an adapter) -High-quality guitar cable -Agile Interceptor Pro 930 with 30" scale and active pickups -This guitar is HIGH-QUALITY and has a very bright tone, and it should have one on POD Farm, but it doesn't. Is there a reason for the tone sounding really bad? Are there settings on my computer or something that I can change? OR could I upgrade my sound card?
  5. Hello Recently I got a POD HD300 and I can't seem to get ahold of a decent tone for my 6string baritone tuned to Drop E. It's really muddy and undefined,I want a more digital tone, similar to Meshuggah-Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza-Periphery etc. I have a .85 for a low E with on a 27,2'' with an EMG 81. A good example of what I'm after(or similar) is this https://soundcloud.com/thelivingdoorway/frederipoff-thordendal Any preset/info will be gladly appreciated. Thanks a ton and happy new year John
  6. Here's the situation. When I plug in my guitar into my interface (elevenrack), I can see my in/out working correctly in the plugin version of pod farm. However, once I load a saved tone, my in/out levels dissapear. I can still hear my DI, but the tone just doesn't work. I had zero problems a few days ago, so I'm sure that it's something I did. Now it's possible it's something wrong with elevenrack, but I wanted to see if anyone had had a similar problem. Thanks.
  7. I have a Pod HD Pro set up with my Carvin DCM 200L going into an Orange 4x12 cab and I play pretty heavy metal/high gain type stuff. I'm having an issue with the low end sounding overwhelming or even slightly clipping when I hold a palm muted note. I play an Ibanez RGA8 8 string so naturally there will be a lot of bottom end anyway but it sounds like the tone begins to swell and just overwhelm everything when I hold an open palm mute. I was wondering if its my signal chain or the power amp or the cab or even that's just how the guitar will sound because of the low tuning. Any input will help!
  8. Hi There.. Can someone help me? I have a HD 500, and found a video on youtube. kelly simonz did a cover of "the loner" by gary moore. The patch/tone is downloadable from his website, but i cant get it into my EDIT list. Is it so that i have to purchase more line 6 products to get this sound? Link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_MJQdX7zMA
  9. Friends , I describe my problem . 5 months ago that I have the POD HD500 , and I have a hard time getting the tone I want. I have read , countless post on this forum and I reread a thousand times Meambobbo excellent guide . My two guitars have pickups Bill Lawrence XL500 . The problem is that the tone I get is " fizz " and heard in my recordings a little " break " or distortion . I set my presets with the main entrance " Guitar " and the second entry as " Variax " . Pad switch does not seem to do much. No digital clip between modules, and I hear the fizz at very low levels . Disconnecting all amps, cabs and effects blocks, NO saturation hear the sound of my guitar. I have placed in my presets up to 4 parametric equalizers , filtering frequencies that produce fizz . The truth is that I do not find solution . I have the latest drivers and the latest firmware installed on the POD . Also, I reflashead the unit several times and nothing happens. I tested with several preset I downloaded from Custom Tones, and I see that I still have the same problem , including , I turn up the gain to most of these presets , because in my pod are heard without gain. I really do not understand. I see people on Youtube that get amazing results in your recordings , but when I download your presets , I do not sound the same way. I'm not a neophyte in technology , but it really is costing me get the tone I'm looking for ( hi -gain tones to modern metal "spongy" ) . I would appreciate any indication you can give. Thank you very much from now. (Sorry for my English)
  10. Hello, I am looking for a little help. I have had this amp for about two months now. seems like I can adjust the tone for how i like it but after playing for 10 to 15 minutes the tone changes. It seems to lose the treble and I cannot seem to tune in the tone that I had initially. any advice? Thanks Rman
  11. I have stumbled onto pure gold for a "dual cab" configuration. Channel A use Uber 4x12 + 57 on axis Channel B use XXL 4x12 + 121 Ribbon Set Channel A volume around 45-50% Set Channel B even or a bit less than Channel A. I find -5% works well. Set the Cab DEP's all around 25%. Don't use EQ's after the amps and before the mixer - this will cause phasing unless you apply the same amount and kind on each Channel. Use a Mid-Focus EQ after the mixer and set the HP freq to 15% and Q to around 25-35%. That should tame some boominess. You may have to use more midrange or highs than usual to get it to have enough. This is the most realistic tone I can get. It's not just the sound - it even affects the feel. The response is super crisp. The tone is thick and resonant. Highs are crisp. Sits perfectly in a mix. The tone has a nice rough edge to it too. Clips of XXL + Uber: https://soundcloud.com/meambobbo/ New patches: Index of /podhd/patches/XXL_Uber_Cab if you got a mid-focus eq in post-mixer placement, you can just set the hp freq between 12 and 20% and keep adjusting Q lower and lower and adjust the freq until you don't get any boom, but it sounds natural, and it doesn't sound thin. If there's too much roughness to the distortion, you may have too much bass from the guitar that a boost or pre-eq isn't downplaying, or be distorting the power section with a lot of bass on the amp control. Same goes for backing off the mids and spiking treble. When you turn up the master volume d.e.p. things start getting awesome, but can quickly turn to into a dying pickup truck, if you don't have the entire signal chain under control.
  12. I really need help finding a tone like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WCUeC5pMcY if its a preset that would be very helpful, i have a pod hd pro
  13. I am having a problem maybe you guys can help me with. Migrated from PPOD to HD500, thinking there was some cross pollination in Line 6 settings.. Is there a place where I can get the Pocket Pod band, songs, presets, to load into the HD500? I had a preset in my PPod that was great, hoping to find it in the HD500, but now I am lost in a world of completely different amps and cabs trying to build up that tone from scratch only to find it's getting close, but not really. Which is leading to me not being inspired to play. Doesn't help that the wah in the HD does't sound anything like my previous wah... I'm thinking about going back to the PPod, which is nuts, but tone is tone. Seemed like more amps and cabs in there. So where can I get a Crybaby wah patch and Pocket Pod tones to put in this thing...?
  14. Hello. I am using my PODHD500 for worship music, and it would be nice to be able to put in a specific number for delay tempo, as opposed to using tap tempo or by setting tempo in HD Edit. Is there a way do do this, or am I being way too picky? I checked out other threads but all I saw was talk about ms delays and about using tap tempo with a clicktrack to set tempo. Yes, a clicktrack is helpful and all for preparing patches for a set, but an alternative would be nice. Anybody? Thanks! James
  15. I can hardly find any presets for the Spider IV 150 in the CustomTone page. Almost every time I try to load a tone in Spider Edit, I get the message "This Setting Contains Models Not Available in your Device" My 150 is updated, I assumed it would work with anything the 75w and up versions had...?
  16. TONE COMPATIBILITY CHART Below is a .pdf file that contains tone file type compatibility between Line 6 hardware and software. l6_compat.pdf Misc. Notes: - POD Farm 1 tones work with Gearbox when connected to X3 but not PF2 tones - Tones created in POD Farm Plug-In will not load into Gearbox
  17. Hi, I'm an intermediate guitarist who has owned a Spider IV amp for a long time and has been souly living off switching between the preset tones on the left dial (Metal, Insane, Twang etc...). I am not an expert and know next to nothing about amplifiers so if you could help me out here, thank you. There's 4 channel buttons at the top which are presets for a certain tone, When I change the tone on that channel, it reverts back to the standard built-in tone and forgets my customisations, how do I get it to save the changes? Sorry if this is extremely vague, the amplifier jargon hasn't sunk in yet. Still learning. Thanks :D
  18. Im rewriting this post because im still having problems with my tone. I've gone through all the suggestions and nothings changed. The outputs is Studio/Direct and im using a low gain yet im still getting horrible fuzz over the top, ruining any clarity that was there. Here's a raw clip of the tone im getting: This particular clip was recorded with a cheap guitar but i have the same problem with any guitar i use! https://soundcloud.com/dan-kav/lollipop-tone If anyone can tell me why my tone is coming out at such bad quality i'd be extremely grateful!
  19. Q: Why do presets I built from scratch sound different than similar factory presets? A: When creating new presets from scratch and comparing the tone to an existing factory preset with the same settings, please remember to check the mixer settings of that preset to see if they may be different than how you have it set in your own preset.? If the mixer settings of the factory preset are different than the mixer settings of another identical preset, they can both sound different than each other even though they share the same amp model and tone settings. The mixer settings are saved per preset and are NOT global.
