  1. Is anyone here pretty experienced with automating preset and snapshot changes inside Logic Pro X? I’m having an issue with automating the changes to while sending hotkey messages to control Logic. Curious if my problem is in command center or in the setup of the midi track within Logic. Hotkeys work perfectly until I start to automate patch / snapshot changes. As soon as I add the automation track, the hotkeys glitch out. I've also used MIDI notes instead of hotkeys and still encounter the same issue. So, for example. I’ve got hotkeys set up for play, stop, cycle, next marker, and previous marker. Momentary switches. Works perfectly without issue. Then I add the automation track. When I hit the play button on the Helix, the button acts like a latching button and causes the whole project to glitch out. Only way to fix it is to turn off the Helix and restart Logic. Hopefully I’ve explained this in a semi-understandable way haha thanks in advance for any advice on how to fix this!
  2. So I recently got a Variax limited and have been using it for a few weeks now, today I go to plug it in and there’s nothing. So I check the battery and found that it wasn’t charged so I charged it, I come back and try it and still nothing. The magnetics work but the modelling doesn’t, I tried with a battery and 1/4 cable, I tried with a battery and a variax cable, and without a battery and a variax cable, still none of the modelling works, and the magnetics don’t work through the variax cable like usual, basically everything variax has stopped working. I’ve never had this happen and the instrument is still new, I don’t remember anything weird happening, as far as I remember I played it last night just fine with the modelling. What can I do to try and fix this and what can I do to try and diagnose the problem? thanks so much in advance! to note: workbench hd is also not recognising the guitar.
  3. I have a V 60 and a gt10 transmitter and I cannot get any sound out of this thing. Nothing from the woofer, tweeter or, the headphone jack. Nothing plays regardless of cable choice and nothing from the aux input or drum tracks / metronome etc. Regardless of hard wire or with gt10 (which shows connected when on) I dont even see a signal in tuner mode. I have tried updating the firmware multiple times, even down grading and then re updating to current, including factory resets multiple times. I have experience with diagnosing amp issues and literally just repaired my LD300 I wish I could find any type of schematic for this glue covered mess. The least Line 6 could do (considering it seems like so many Spider V's have this issue) is offer some replacement parts for sale. Ridiculous we should have to pay 90$ an hour for repairs when the components are so plug and play. Anyways - rant over, any ideas? Lol
  4. Some users have had the Helix Native VST3 plugin file blacklisted within Cubase. Here is some troubleshooting info that may help. Be sure to try these steps in the exact order: 1. Uninstall the plug-in binaries and resource files, shown below 2. Launch Cubase so that it can clear it’s plugin cache 3. Quit Cubase completely 4. then reinstall Helix Native, latest version from our downloads page: https://line6.com/software/ You will need to uninstall Helix Native by deleting the plugin files listed here: Plug-in Binaries /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Line 6/Helix Native.aaxplugin /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Helix Native.component /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Line 6/Helix Native.vst /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Line 6/Helix Native.vst3 Plug-in Resources /Library/Application Support/Line 6/Helix Native/da /Library/Application Support/Line 6/Helix Native/res
  5. Hey Everyone, I have got my Pod Go hooked up to a pair of PreSonus Eris 4.5 studio monitors, and I have been using this setup for about a month. Recently it started to really bug me that when I play on some presets that I have made, after I have played for ~3-4 minutes, the speakers will start to crackle when I hold a note. I have recorded the sound and put it on soundcloud, if you would like to listen here is the link (You can faintly hear the crackle at the end of the recording, it sounds worse in person): https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/eGpZ7 I have been trying hard to find a way to fix it, have changed all of my leads, moved to different power supplies etc. to test if it was a grounding issue. No matter what I try, the crackle always comes back. Is it because the signal out of the Pod Go is too hot for the speakers in some of my higher gain presets? Or am I overheating my speakers? Would putting a cheap audio interface between the Pod Go and the monitors would help? I'm really hoping someone has an answer for me, thanks in advance.
  6. So, my clean tone sounds great on my current settings. But most distortion pedals are so quiet they are unusable. But they have tones I like. Similarly even with my FX Loop maxed out it's too quiet. The Compression pedal adds breakup and sounds great, it's not a problem. Here's a dropbox of me going through two different distortions I like that I cannot use. I have a video and an audio file recorded direct in. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bjsswhdz3dbknnx/AABdJTbgORgcwM_a7AVGIEH7a?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bjsswhdz3dbknnx/AABdJTbgORgcwM_a7AVGIEH7a?dl=0 Someone said "turn up the tone on the distortion pedal so it'll sound louder. a) No it doesn't it just sounds thinner b)I shouldn't have to ruin tone to get volume. c) When I do max out the volume of a distortion pedal it sounds awful, it has those bass-y air swells, etc. while still not getting louder than the clean channel. I get amazing tones out of this thing, I just gotta figure this out. Thanks for your help!
  7. Here are the common button combinations for POD Go when attempting a factory reset or troubleshooting. To perform any of these, start with the POD Go turned off, then flip on the power switch while holding down the buttons below for 5-8 seconds. It's helpful to have your presets backed up or saved to your PC or Mac computer, before performing a factory reset. C & D - Factory Restore (Restores all factory settings) A & B - Clears Everything (Clears all presets, factory settings will not load) PAGE > - Update mode (helpful for any interrupted or failed updates) If your POD Go is booting up in Demo Mode (shown on display screen during power up), see below to resume normal mode: Hold down Bank/Preset Down and "D" footswitches during power up
  8. Alright, this is a bit of a stretch but I'm curious what the people here have to suggest. Here's my situation : I use a G55 right now. I managed to custom made fit it under my pedalboard with antennas hanging out. I got the G55 because I compared the system to the G50 and the G70. Both the 50 and 70 had less operating range than the 55 in the same building with the same conditions, etc. I play in different regions in the world (that's why I went with 2.4Ghz) mainly North America, Europe, Japan. The main act is somekind of circus performance, sometimes I need a good clean 100' of operating range for my performance. I'm often far from my pedalboard or suspended in the air. Other gigs are more standard but I still run in the crowd and around changing rooms away from my gear. Both the distance or bodies and walls contribute to a potential dropout I know that. The WiFi strength sometimes are through the roofs everywhere and the channels are almost all filled. But even if there is a lot of potential interference. When I perform under 15-20' range from the antennas, everything is 100% fine. My concern is if I add something like an BNC extension cable between the antenna and the G55 in troublesome venues and I temporarily tape the antenna as close as I can to my performance would it be a savior ? Just to reduce the distance and get away from other wifi stuff An extension like this : https://www.itfactory.ca/mmnox-ex03s-3-meter-antenna-extension-cable-black?gclid=Cj0KCQjwjOrtBRCcARIsAEq4rW6KmiEaao97SFHuFHkW0lyZHPL6Vm1fT4L-xmwLIVSyVHjYI5RcjacaAqmWEALw_wcB#fo_c=79&fo_k=c1421b29a422f7162abc66fe28cbd452&fo_s=gplaca Would it work ? I don't know the electrical voltages that goes in these antennas but adding a resistance (the cable) could affect the functionality ? Also, would I need to do this to both antennas ?
  9. If I put it in split it sounds really weird. Even having it in chain colors the tone whether timeline is engaged or not. Does anyone use timeline in an Fx loop with success? helix and timeline are both on latest update
  10. Hey guys! I'm a MacOS user and I've been happily recording and practicing through my Helix using GarageBand. My band is about to record a song and we decided to experiment a bit recording techniques and use my Helix to lay all guitar tracks. To better prepare I wanted to try re-amping. This can't be done in GB as I can't route track output to Helix's USB inputs. I installed Reaper to try it. It sees my Helix as an audio device, is set to record it but it doesn't. When I play on an armed track, no signal shows up on the volume meter. Same thing in Cubase 8 LE. I can open Repaer and get no recording singal, then Cubase and get nothing. When I open GB everything works as expected. Could you help me troubleshoot this thing please? I can provide screenshots of config screens if necessary. I think that the DAWs are pretty much the same interface-wise across OSes ;) PS. If that's important I'm on a mid-2015 MBP with Mojave 10.14.3.
  11. Hello, I am using an Audio-Technica AT2035, and the Line 6 UX2. I bought it because a streamer I watch uses them and said that he would post his profile if anyone wanted to use it. I have run into a few problems and I am trying to figure out if it is hardware or a software issue. I was getting static bursts of pure ear annihilation, but a lot of forums said it could have been moisture build up in the mic so I spent a day drying it out with silica gel packets. I have not gotten a burst since. I am not that great with audio, so I was relying on the streamer profile (Teo) to fix everything and it did not. When I use his profile, my microphone no longer reads my voice, even if I yell it sounds like a whisper, which I do not understand how that is if he uses this same profile and it sounds perfect. When I use my profile I made off of a few youtube video tutorials (mic) then the microphone picks up my voice, yet it fluctuates volume with every syllable. It is like it is readjusting with every word. I attached the two profiles so you could see how they are set up. I also have the gain knob on the UX2 at the 3rd to final big dash. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. At this point I am trying to figure out if I am just a moron or if I need to return either the mic or ux2 and replace it. Thank you. 12. Hi, I've been searching everywhere but I can't seem to find an answer for this problem that I'm having, I really hope someone can shed some light on this. I've been having some trouble with my UX2, I should preface this by saying everything's working properly outside of the fact, input levels are normal, it's reading a normal output level, etc. So, my problem is that when I plug my headphones into the headphone jack (through adapters, yes) fully, the sound is so quiet and only really comes through the left speaker. When I plug in the headphones about 3/4 of the way in, they work perfectly fine like they used to. I suppose I could just record like this, but I'm worried that this may not be accurate sound, and I'd just like the sanctity of mind to know that I'm hearing accurate playback. Can someone please fill me in on what's going on, if this is a hardware issue, a jack issue, if this is a huge problem or not. Thank you.
  13. I am experiencing a slight loss of sound and then a popping noise when using both my Line 6 POD HD500x and Kemper through the StageSource L3t. It seems to effect all inputs across the board. My only idea was it may have to do with the feedback suppression system, but I am not playing at an unreasonable volume or using any odd frequencies. Turning off the feedback suppression seems to reduce the issue slightly. The speaker itself is only a month a half old and has had this issue the entire time. Thanks for the help.
  14. Hi folks; First time posting on the forums, and I'm hoping you all can help me out. I just successfully updated to firmware 2.50 for Helix (which is everything I hoped it would be :D ), and I'm trying to use HX Edit. I downloaded it successfully, but when I click on the application icon to open it, it starts to open the black window, then immediately shuts down with the message "HX Edit quit unexpectedly." I've tried deleting and re-downloading with the same result. I opened the app directly from the 'Applications' folder, not from a shortcut. I'm running a Mac with OS X 10.8.5, and haven't had any trouble with Line 6 or Helix software heretofore. This was the first version of 'HX Edit' that I've installed. Prior to this I was using the old 'Helix' app (which I've already deleted). I'm not worried about restoring any preset or IR backups, I just want the app to open and work properly. Any tips or solutions to this problem would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! [Moderators, if there is an existing topic on this issue, feel free to move my post there. This is my first time posting and I don't know how all of this works just yet.]
  15. HELLO LINE 6 BUDDIES! I'm two-track recording an acoustic guitar with my POD HD500X as the audio interface. I have a RODE NT1A condenser mic plugged into a mixer with phantom power. This mixer is then connected to the POD's 'Guitar In' input via guitar lead, and there is also an acoustic guitar connected to the 'AUX' input for a direct signal. This is all running through Logic Pro X on my Macbook Pro (Early 2015) with 16GB RAM. I have used this setup before and it has all worked fine, except today I am hearing intermittent static coming from both inputs at seemingly random intervals. It sounds like a short burst of a bitcrusher-like sound, and then goes back to normal after less than a second. It can't be any problem with the mic/mixer because I am getting the problem on AUX (direct input) as well as the Guitar In (mic) input. I have tried different USB cables, and have tried different power outlets. I have also tried a different audio interface (that can unfortunately only handle one input) that didn't seem to have the same problem, leading me to think that it also isn't an issue with Logic Pro X... SO... Has this happened to anyone before, and can anyone think of any reason this might be happening? Yeah, I've turned it off and on again ;)
  16. I recently downloaded Line 6 Monkey off of the website and have went to install it however when I got to the page allowing me to check for updates it says it cannot connect to the internet even though I have and there are other tabs open on my laptop that are working just fine with the internet connection, I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting but it still says there's a problem and I have no active anti-virus' or anything that may obstruct it so i'm really stuck on what to do here?? :(
  17. I have been using my AMPLIFi 150 for almost two years. It was working fine until a couple of days ago. My iPad Pro is connected to the AMPLIFi via Bluetooth, but it won’t sync. I can play music through AMPLIFi via Bluetooth but the app kept indicating that the device is not connected. Everything works fine if I use my iPhone6 instead. I am on iOS11 public beta 5 on both devices and I am using AMPLIFi Remote 2.60.2 for both devices. Issue is raised to Apple via feedback on public beta as well. By the way, please make a firmware upgrade to support the lights on FBV3. I don’t want to buy FBV3 if the lights don’t work properly. I don’t want to buy FBV2 either in case I buy the Firehawk 1500 later.
  18. Looking for help with opening files from Customtone. The edit software for my POD HD Pro works just fine, loads all of my presets to my laptop. The files I've tried downloading on here are listed as a pxe or h5e file. Not entirely sure what that means but maybe I'm just dumb and can't figure out something simple. Any help would be appreciated as I'm relatively new to the whole "using my POD with my computer" thing. Thanks.
  19. I am getting constant crashes when running Cubase 9 on a brand new Windows 10 HP Pavillion laptop (Intel i7, 8GB RAM) The Line 6 is the default audio driver, I've disabled the webcam, other sound cards, tried removing anti virus software and manually gone through and updated all my drivers. The fault is mostly BAD POOL HEADER and the crash log is saying the the LINE6PODHDPROSE.sys driver is to blame. Running Cubase with the standard audio drivers is fine, running any program other than Cubase is fine. I'm not the most computer literate guy in the world, but I've searched Google and countless forums and followed all their advice and the problem is still occuring. Do Line 6 need to add an update for these drivers to stop this happening? Couple of logs for your perusal: On Fri 13/01/2017 00:25:52 your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\memory.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: l6podhdprose64.sys (L6PODHDPROSE64+0x6FBC7) Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0xFFFF860F3A663000, 0x2, 0x1, 0xFFFFF803FF46FBC7) Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\l6podhdprose64.sys product: GuitarPort company: Line 6 description: GuitarPort WDM Audio Device Driver Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high. Google query: Line 6 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (this was the first DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error, the rest have been bad pool headers) On Thu 12/01/2017 20:35:15 your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\011217-25937-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x14A6F0) Bugcheck code: 0x19 (0x21, 0xFFFFCB0B54460000, 0x1800, 0x27101D8527101D83) Error: BAD_POOL_HEADER file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that a pool header is corrupt. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue). The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.
  20. My Amplify 75 is dead. No lights ,no sound. There is a faint click when I turn it on and a faint boom when I turn it off. That is all. It happened as my son inserted the headphone plug in the back and then it just died... I have opened it up and peeked inside (without detaching any cables). I don't see anything strange (e.g. no burn marks as I can see). I was hoping to find a fuse but did not find any. Does anyone here know if there where the fuse are? (I guess there most be some kind of fuse in it). No warranty left, so I just can't send it in. Does anyone have any clue what could have happened? Is there something I can do to save it or is the only thing to do to find an authorized reapair shop? I wonder if anyone has experienced anyting like this and have any suggestion what it can be. Happy for all the help I can get. Thanks; Per
  21. I'm having issues using my spider v 60w amp for recording. I had it working but there was a huge latency issue and when i went to fix it, it completely stopped working. I have windows 10 and was using the program ohm studio to upload and share music using Livewire cord from amp to computer. All drivers/software are up to date. If anyone has a fix for this or has any ideas to try it would be appreciated. Thanks
  22. Spider Remote Android Connection Troubleshooting While app/amp connections of Spider Remote on iOS are relatively simple, on Android, USB connections to devices like Spider V are more complicated. Not only are some Android devices wholly incompatible with USB host mode (required for connection to Spider V), some are only partially compatible, or exhibit bad behavior under some circumstances. Furthermore, there are important permissions-related actions that you must take, in order to enjoy the best user experience, and to ensure that firmware updating via Spider Remote Android works correctly. This guide assumes you have at least Spider Remote v1.0.2, so please make sure you have the latest version before proceeding. Testing the Device for Compatibility with USB Host Mode If an Android device does not support USB host mode, it cannot connect to Spider V amps. If you are having trouble connecting to your amp, the first step should be to run one of the free Android applications that will test a device’s compatibility with USB host mode. For example, the application USB Host Diagnostics has thus far proven to be entirely accurate. Here’s a link to download that app. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=usb%20host%20diagnostics&c=apps&hl=en Giving the Proper Permission to the Device To make your Android device work with your Spider V amp, you must first give permission. To carry out this action when the amp is first connected; the following dialogue box will appear. You then check the box ‘Use by default for this USB device’ and then press OK. Problems with Termination on Some Devices On certain devices, such as the Galaxy S6, we’ve seen some trouble with the app and amp connection. It manifests itself as the app crashing and temporarily losing USB capability. Dealing with Troublesome Devices Unfortunately, not every Android device can be tested. Problematic devices generally fall into one of two categories. 1. A connection is not possible. In this case, the device almost definitely does not fully-support USB host mode. Unfortunately this is out of Line 6’s control. If you think you have USB host mode, please run the USB Host Diagnostics app mentioned above. 2. Connections are possible, but the device’s USB port sometime ‘hangs’. This behavior might be noticed as the inability to charge the device after a successful prior connection, or even the inability to access it from a desktop computer. In this case, you are most likely experiencing the situation above described in ‘Problems with Termination on Some Devices’. Here are some best practices to minimize the issue. If you find yourself in this state, it is necessary to restart the device. Some devices may require a hard-restart of the Android, the method of which may vary among manufactures. On such problematic devices, and in the case where you must force-quit the Spider Remote application, you should also first sever the connection between the Android device and the amp. Do this by either powering off the Spider V, or by removing the USB cable. Once the amp connection is severed, if will be safe to force-quite the application. Note that the app will briefly display (at the top of the screen) ‘Device Not Connected’ when the connection is severed, and also when the device is not connected and the user presses the USB icon in the action bar.
  23. Hello all, I got my Helix yesterday, and needless to say I've had nothing but issues so far. I plugged it in and plugged my headphones in, and started playing. I noticed the signal would cut in and out every few seconds or so, so I unplugged the headphones... only to notice the tip of the headphone connector was still stuck inside the unit (which I do not blame on the Helix at all!). I was able to remove it luckily. Today, I just can't get any kind of signal into or out of the Helix. I've done numerous resets, and reinstalled the newest version of Helix firmware. Nothing. I have everything (headphones, guitar, USB to computer) plugged in exactly like I did yesterday when I got the unit and had sound, but nothing. Also yesterday, I connected the unit through USB to my Windows 10 desktop, and I was able to hear my computers sound through the headphone jack on the Helix. I can't even get that to work today. Any tips? I really wanna mess with the unit, but not in the fashion of repeated troubleshooting and the like. Thanks! CBpunk16
  24. I've had an issue with Mission SP1-L6H Expression Pedals, specifically in regard to volume blocks. When assigned as a volume pedal (in my case, it's connected with a single TS cable to EXP1 on Helix Rack), A 100% parameter value will drop to 0% randomly without the pedal being touched. This, of course, results in a complete loss of output, which has made for some pretty awkward moments on stage. To troubleshoot, I used multiple brand new cables as well as a few different Helix Rack units. After determining my first Mission pedal was the issue, I got a replacement from Sweetwater. To my surprise, the new unit had the same issue. I reached out to Mission, but they said there weren't any other reports of this happening. At this point, it's too late to get a refund, so my Mission pedal is just collecting dust now. I recently purchased a Dunlop DVP3 Volume (X) and I'm using it (Polarity reversed) with my Helix and I've had no issues whatsoever. It's very possible that I just received two faulty Mission units, but I have a feeling it's just an inherent issue with the pedals. I'm hoping someone could help shed some light on the issue.
  25. Hello L6 Helix forum! I have run into issues updating the helix. I purchased new from GC about a month ago. I am currently trying to update the helix. It has not been updated since purchase. My questions: Which program needs to be downloaded first? The language on the download section of the L6 website is beyond confusing to me. From what i can tell there are: -updaters -the update itself -an editor -firmware update THE MAJOR ISSUE: once i download any of the above, i open the .dmg and it does its thing and verifies and then opens a finder box with a .pkg file in it. clicking on that results in a slight delay and then a verifying box and no movement or progress occurs after that part. its just stuck! HELP!!! i can't update the helix or figure out how to get going with the editor! otherwise this thing has been a blast and is a ridiculously well thought out GUI
