My Amplify 75 is dead. No lights ,no sound. There is a faint click when I turn it on and a faint boom when I turn it off. That is all. It happened as my son inserted the headphone plug in the back and then it just died... I have opened it up and peeked inside (without detaching any cables). I don't see anything strange (e.g. no burn marks as I can see). I was hoping to find a fuse but did not find any. Does anyone here know if there where the fuse are? (I guess there most be some kind of fuse in it). No warranty left, so I just can't send it in. Does anyone have any clue what could have happened? Is there something I can do to save it or is the only thing to do to find an authorized reapair shop? I wonder if anyone has experienced anyting like this and have any suggestion what it can be. Happy for all the help I can get. Thanks; Per

I'm having issues using my spider v 60w amp for recording. I had it working but there was a huge latency issue and when i went to fix it, it completely stopped working. I have windows 10 and was using the program ohm studio to upload and share music using Livewire cord from amp to computer. All drivers/software are up to date. If anyone has a fix for this or has any ideas to try it would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, my name is Ravyn and I am a guitarist from Ontario, Canada and am new to the Line 6 forum, this is my first post here and I am wondering if anyone has any info on this type of issue? I'd appreciate any help or info :) My old PC died a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to get a new laptop specifically for recording music. I thought it'd be a better idea seeing as they are portable, and actually this is the first laptop I've ever owned, I've always used a desktop for recording in the past. The laptop I have is a Lenovo with an i7 processor and 8GB of RAM. I've also just recently bought Cubase Artist 8 for recording and re-installed all Line 6 software and downloads for the Line 6 POD HD500x but upon recording I am having issues. Theirs always noise in the background, clicks, pops, unwanted feedback...but the worst part is that my system is always crashing. The two error codes I get are DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (L6PODHD5SE64.sys) and SYSTEM_THREAD_NOT_HANDLED (L6PODHD5SE64.sys) So I take it that the L6POD in the code has something to do with my beloved Line 6 Pod?? It's all very confusing, everything worked fine on my old Acer desktop and it didn't have half of the capabilities that my new laptop has, yet it worked fine and never crashed once like this. If anyone has any info, could you please help a newbie out? I'd appreciate it so much and thank you kindly! -Ravyn

Hello all, I got my Helix yesterday, and needless to say I've had nothing but issues so far. I plugged it in and plugged my headphones in, and started playing. I noticed the signal would cut in and out every few seconds or so, so I unplugged the headphones... only to notice the tip of the headphone connector was still stuck inside the unit (which I do not blame on the Helix at all!). I was able to remove it luckily. Today, I just can't get any kind of signal into or out of the Helix. I've done numerous resets, and reinstalled the newest version of Helix firmware. Nothing. I have everything (headphones, guitar, USB to computer) plugged in exactly like I did yesterday when I got the unit and had sound, but nothing. Also yesterday, I connected the unit through USB to my Windows 10 desktop, and I was able to hear my computers sound through the headphone jack on the Helix. I can't even get that to work today. Any tips? I really wanna mess with the unit, but not in the fashion of repeated troubleshooting and the like. Thanks! CBpunk16

I've had an issue with Mission SP1-L6H Expression Pedals, specifically in regard to volume blocks. When assigned as a volume pedal (in my case, it's connected with a single TS cable to EXP1 on Helix Rack), A 100% parameter value will drop to 0% randomly without the pedal being touched. This, of course, results in a complete loss of output, which has made for some pretty awkward moments on stage. To troubleshoot, I used multiple brand new cables as well as a few different Helix Rack units. After determining my first Mission pedal was the issue, I got a replacement from Sweetwater. To my surprise, the new unit had the same issue. I reached out to Mission, but they said there weren't any other reports of this happening. At this point, it's too late to get a refund, so my Mission pedal is just collecting dust now. I recently purchased a Dunlop DVP3 Volume (X) and I'm using it (Polarity reversed) with my Helix and I've had no issues whatsoever. It's very possible that I just received two faulty Mission units, but I have a feeling it's just an inherent issue with the pedals. I'm hoping someone could help shed some light on the issue.

Hello L6 Helix forum! I have run into issues updating the helix. I purchased new from GC about a month ago. I am currently trying to update the helix. It has not been updated since purchase. My questions: Which program needs to be downloaded first? The language on the download section of the L6 website is beyond confusing to me. From what i can tell there are: -updaters -the update itself -an editor -firmware update THE MAJOR ISSUE: once i download any of the above, i open the .dmg and it does its thing and verifies and then opens a finder box with a .pkg file in it. clicking on that results in a slight delay and then a verifying box and no movement or progress occurs after that part. its just stuck! HELP!!! i can't update the helix or figure out how to get going with the editor! otherwise this thing has been a blast and is a ridiculously well thought out GUI

My Spider IV-150 has developed an issue where about 10 seconds into a switched preset, the volume of the preset drops about 25%. This happens with all presets. Initially when this issue began, overdrive presets 10 seconds after selection, would switch to a line-level, clean tone... almost as if no preset were selected at all. After taking it to a tech that used to work for Line 6, he couldn't make it happen in shop (no surprise there). But he suggested doing a firmware update through Line 6 Monkey. I did that and now the presets don't switch to that weird, clean tone. The presets keep the sound but drop in volume about 25% after 10 seconds. I just tried doing another firmware update but Monkey says the amp and MK-III pedal are up to date. Is anyone experiencing this issue? And if so, how did you remedy the problem? Can anyone recommend a good tech that really can trouble shoot and work on Line 6 gear in the LA, Orange County, San Diego County areas? Thanks

Hey, guys/gals. I've been experiencing an issue with trying to integrate my Neunaber Slate (Wet), in stereo via the Helix's stereo loop. I'm able to place the pedal in the tone chain just fine, and when using shorter decay reverbs, I have zero issues. BUT, when I use long decaying reverbs with modulation I get clipping in the high frequencies. It's not a crippling audio clip, but enough of it to really annoy me. I've contacted Neunaber about the issue, just cause I've ran this pedal in front, and in my "real" amp's loop, and never experienced this, but they couldn't really find a reason why this would be happening. • I've played with changing the loop signal type from instrument to line, and vice-versa, but nothing changes • Tried running it in the different loop options available on Helix and also running it in mono, and I still get the issue • I've tried placing the effect before and after the Helix cabs and impulse responses as well, and while placing the effect before these helps a bit, it doesn't fix the issue completely.. and, this effect just sounds much better at the end of my tone chain • I've also tried adjusting the lo and hi-pass filters on the cab sims.. no luck either • Adjusted send/return & mix levels for the loop as well. If I turn the mix level way down (in the 30s) it does get rid of the issue, but it also gets rid of pretty much all of the effect (Haha) Anyone else run into something similar? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey guys, first off I just wanna say I love Pod Farm and use it as my main go to for recording guitar track concepts for most of my songs so keep it up. Now the problem I have is that since I updated and restarted my computer my Pod Farm 2.58 platinum won't open on my mac Mini (late 2014 model). It continually gets stuck on loading without any progress. This happens both as a plugin in Logic X, Ableton, Cubase and as Standalone. Things I've tried so far are: Reinstalling Pod Farm Double checked the license manager Repaired Disk Utilities Open in standalone as mentioned before Computer mac Mini Late 2014 (winter) 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5/ 8GB LPDDR3 onboard memoryM/1 TB HD/Intel Iris/Thunderbolt 2, USB 3/802.11ac WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 (got more memory currently of course) Yosemite Latest version Pod Farm 2,58 But nothing seems to fix the problem. I hope you can help soon or hope there might be an upcoming update that fixes the issue.

Hello, Recently, I brought my first Line6 system (POD Studio GX) and I am experiencing troubles trying to set it up. I have completed the set up of POD Farm which seems to be working fine. My problem is that whenever I plug in the box used for plugging in your guitar lead (I apologise for not knowing what it's called) into the computer, a little box appears saying 'Found New Hardware'. It has three options, 'Locate and install driver software (reccommended)', 'Ask me again later' and 'Don't show this message again for this device.' I have clicked on the first option and it then asks me to insert the disk that came with the GX (in order for it to search the disk for driver content (?)), so I inserted my POD Farm disk. After reading it, it says that it can't find the driver software. Even after 'searching the web for a solution,' I am still unable to use the 'box' for the program or any use. I would be very grateful for a reply which helps me, Thank you.

Hey guys, no idea if this is a stupid question or not, but i have seen videos of people running their Axe-fx's through cubase and having cubase change the presets for them automatically on a click track sorta thing. Now, my question is Is it possible to do the same thing with Pro Tools and a Pod Hd Pro X? Also is there a way to record into pro tools using a usb from the pod? Thanks

Hello, I read on another thread about how in the POTS test your are supposed to read as follows; CW are "127" and CCW are "000". All of the knobs do show these values except for the volume, it shows "255" CW. Is there something wrong here?

I've went out and bought myself a new line 6 HD500. I have a fender FM65 R and I'm trying to connect it to the amp. I have it working, but I am not getting any sound, plus I am only using 2 cables and most videos I have seen they are using 4. Is this the problem??
-
Help! A speedy changeover at a festival yesterday, connected my HD500 using 4 cable method - plugged in, turned on... Nothing....! Ended up gigging straight into the amp. Got home and tested all leads, amp effects loop etc - they're all fine. Then tried HD500 with headphones - strong signal coming through...! So the HD appears to be working - all leads are ok - amp loop is still a poss weak link but it's a Dual Rec, built like a tank, never had dramas with it... Any ideas??

Hello I have recently purchased a ux2 and Im quite excited to use it, but I've ran into a problem. I bought some Behringer MS16 speakers to monitor the sound, but there is only one SPDIF output, which is used to connect to the other speaker. I have tried to connect straight from the one speaker just to see if it will work, but no sound at all. The input meter from the guitar in pod farm is moving, meaning at least the sound is being registered. I think I need to buy like a rca (Red and white connectors) to spdif cable to connect to the ux2 to get the sound out, but again Im not sure if I'm right. Could anyone confirm this is the type of cable I need to finally get my ux2 up and running, and if not, direct me to the correct type of cable to use? Thanks Liam

Deutsch Français 1. No Audio Input/Output from POD Farm 2.5 Standalone using a Line 6 Audio Interface This was a problem with POD Farm 2.50 that was fixed in 2.51. Windows Completely uninstall POD Farm 2.50, then, download and install POD Farm 2.55 from the Line 6 downloads page. [*]Mac Completely uninstall POD Farm 2.50 following the removal instructions below in problem 2. Then, download and install POD Farm 2.55 from the Line 6 downloads page. 2. If you are experiencing the following symptoms on a Mac computer: POD Farm 2.5x standalone and/or plug-in not authorized on Mac. POD Farm 2.5x crashes in standalone mode when Changing presets. Pro Tools crash when instantiating POD Farm 2.5x plug-in to a track or changing presets in plug-in. POD Farm 2.5x plug-in settings are not retained in Pro Tools project after saving, closing, then, re-opening project. Please try the following: Close all open programs out, go to the Mac HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Line 6 folder. If you are on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.x and 10.8.x, the Library folder is hidden. To 'unhide' this folder, you must first run the terminal program located in the Applications/Utilities folder. Once Terminal is running, at the command prompt, type the following: chflags nohidden /Users/Username/Library *The username is the username of your computer which has the house icon under Places [*]Hit enter. There will be no indication that anything happend except for a new command prompt if it worked. [*]With the Library folder now visible, go to: Mac HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Line 6 folder [*]CTRL+Click on that Line 6 folder in that location folder and select GET INFO. Check the permissions at the bottom of GET INFO, and check to see if they are set to READ ONLY. If so, manually change the permissions to Read & Write. [*]Then, run License Manager and just sign in with your Line 6 username. [*]After signing in, the Line 6 folder in the above location should be populated with new items such as a Guitarport and License Manager folders, and a L6system file. [*]Then, close out License Manager and test POD Farm 2.55 standalone or plug-in within your DAW once again. 3. Amp Models no longer available in POD Farm 2.0 or older after installing POD Farm 2.5x This was a problem with POD Farm 2.50 that was fixed in 2.51. Windows: Completely uninstall both POD Farm 1 and POD Farm 2 using the Line 6 Uninstaller within Programs/Line 6/Tools folder. Download and re-install POD Farm 2.55 from the Line 6 website. If you must also have POD Farm 1 on that computer as well, make sure to install POD Farm 1.12 BEFORE installing POD Farm 2.55 on your system. [*]Mac: Throw away all versions of POD Farm 1 or 2 applications to the trash from the Applications/Line6 folder. Manually search in the following locations and delete any of the files found from within each of these folders: Library/Audio/Plugin-Ins/Components Library/Audio/Plugin-Ins/VST Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers Library/Frameworks (look for L6WXTG and L6WXTY.framework and delete them) Library/Application Support/Line 6 Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins (Username)/Library/Application Support/Line 6 Applications/Line 6 User/Documents/Line 6 User/Library/Preferences (Line6 preferences, should be something like com.line6.xxxxx, etc. Delete.) Empty the Trash. Next, go into Applications/Utilities and launch the Terminal application and type the following commands at the prompt: cd // (then press the enter key) cd /private/var/db/receipts (then press the enter key) sudo rm -i com.line6* (then press the enter key) Enter your Mac OSX account password. Note: you will NOT see the cursor acknowledge any characters being input; you will need to type your system password correctly and hit "Enter"! Type Yes to every option/question to remove Line 6 software components (there will be a good number of confirmations, FYI). Download and install POD Farm 2.55 from the Line 6 website. 4. RTAS Plug-ins Not Loading after POD Farm 2.5 Instantiation An error message pops up at startup with the following: Pro Tools could not load the following plug-ins either because no valid authorization could be found, the iLok key was not connected or the plug-in was damaged. It also lists the POD Farm 2 and POD Farm Elements plug-ins below the message. This is a Windows-based problem and seems to be an issue if Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is not updated or installed properly on the computer system. Using Windows Update to install/update Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable so that POD Farm 2.5 can have access to the libraries it needs to run correctly usually fixes the problem. 5. Incorrect Graphics/GUI in POD Farm 2.5x plug-in If you are using a Custom Plug-in folder location for your DAW, make sure to delete the old POD Farm 2 and POD Farm Elements plug-in files from that location, and move the new POD Farm 2.55 plug-in files to that same location. On Windows XP, these new files are located in: C:\Program Files\Line6\POD Farm 2\VST\Line 6 On Windows Vista/7, they are located in: C:\Program Files(x86)\Line6\POD Farm 2\VST\Line 6 On Mac OS X, AU files are located in: Mac HD\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\Components On Mac OS X, VST files are located in: Mac HD\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\VST\Line 6 POD Farm 2.5: Fehlerbehebung: 1. Eine Fehlermeldung erscheint beim Start: "Pro Tools could not load the following plug-ins either because no valid authorization could be found, the iLok key was not connected or the plug-in was damaged." Windows XP: Die neuen Dateien sind in diesem Ordner: C:\Programme\Line6\POD Farm 2\VST\Line 6 Windows Vista/7 Dateien in diesem Ordner: C:\Programme (x86)\Line6\POD Farm 2\VST\Line 6 Mac OSX, AU Dateien in diesem Ordner: Mac HD\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\Components Mac OSX, VST Dateien im Ordner: Mac HD\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\VST\Line 6 Dépannage POD Farm 2.5: 1. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: We're sad to say that GuitarPort Online is no longer accepting new subscriptions, and will be closing its doors on July 31st, 2012. Why is GuitarPort going away? Since the release of GuitarPort Online, many other companies have started offering downloadable music that can be used for practicing and jamming. This competition challenged our business model, and we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we can no longer maintain GuitarPort Online according to our high standards. To help you continue enjoying your favorite content, we have moved the lessons over to Spider Online and given you a complimentary subscription to this site. We're also happy to give you the POD Farm 2.5 plug-in (a $99 value), which delivers a collection of classic amps, cabs and effects to complement your GuitarPort hardware. Details Annual Subscriptions Annual subscriptions received a prorated refund for the remaining unused time of what was paid for the full year. Saved Jam Tracks If you have GuitarPort Online jam tracks saved to your computer, they expired after July 31st, 2012, and you will not be able to use them any longer. Hardware Line 6 will continue supporting your GuitarPort hardware until September 2014, so keep on rocking with the included guitar amp and cab models, stompboxes and studio effects. Your GuitarPort is still useful as an audio interface. Getting more out of your GuitarPort device 1. The GuitarPort is a USB audio input/output (I/O) interface. Parts Q: My X2 cable is lost/damaged. Where can I purchase a replacement? Line 6 Store: X2 Replacement Cable Q: I lost/broke an antenna on my X2 wireless receiver. How can I get a replacement? A:The X2 series uses a 900 mhz, ½ wave-BNC antenna. These antenna can be purchased from numerous audio-video or musical instrument retailers. Q: Why is my signal occasionally cutting out? A: Please check to see that your locking cable connector is screwed in tightly to the input jack on the transmitter. If not, this can cause your unit to either not get audio at all or cause the signal to cut in and out. Please see our updated manual on this website for a detailed diagram of the proper connection process. Troubleshooting The XDR4 rackmount receiver has an “RF†LED indicator on the front panel. With all transmitters powered “OFFâ€, scroll through the 5 channels on the receiver while viewing the “RF†LED. If this LED remains dark, then you can conclude that there is no undesired RF at your current location. If it lights RED, then there is RF on that channel. This typically does not lead to the conclusion that you cannot operate on that channel. It does indicate that there is RF present and that the range might be limited on that channel. “Drop outs†are often the cause of a bad audio connection. This can happen when the input jack is not fastened securely or when the input cable has broken down at the connector. You can visually confirm a solid “digital link†even without an audio input by powering on only one transmitter and receiver and monitor the 4 green “RECEIVER†LEDs on the XDR4 rackmount receiver. As long as one single green LED stays lit, then you have a solid link. I would confidently say that the system is working well if all 4 LEDs stay lit no matter where you go out to at least 100’ with little or no “dancingâ€. When they start to consistently dance you are approaching the outer edge of the operating range. This test is best performed with two people. Q: Power is on but no signal or there is an intermittent signal with sound cutting out with the XDS95, XDR95 or XDSPlus transmitter A: How far away from each other are the transmitter and receiver? You may simply just need to return to operational range. If the issue persists, you will need to replace the XC1 cable. Q: Power is on but no signal is getting to XDR95, XDS95, or XDSPlus Receiver. A: Remember to set the receiver to the correct mode and to set both the transmitter and receiver to the same channel. If you continue to have issues, replace the XC1 cable. Q: My XDS95 receiver / transmitter shuts down shortly after powering up A: If you are using batteries, try using a new set of batteries. If you are using rechargeable batteries, try a fresh set of alkaline batteries. If these issues persist, the XDS95 needs to be serviced. Q: My transmitter suddenly started producing a distorted broken up signal A: Replacing the XC1 cable would be the first thing to try, but if that does not fix the issue, the transmitter must be serviced for repair. Q: I have a buzzing noise on all channels of my receiver. A: First, make sure that the receiver is getting the proper amount of power from a compatible power supply, especially if the power is being shared with other devices. If you have active electronics on your guitar, make sure that the batteries in the guitar are fresh and power the guitar. If not, replace the batteries. Check your guitar jack to see if it is loose or shorting out and fix the jack as needed. Lastly, please remove/turn off any sources of magnetism (such as a computer monitor) that is close to the transmitter as this could be producing the noise in the signal. Q: I can only go 25 to 30 ft with my XDS95 before it drops out? A: If there is another transmitter on and set to the same channel nearby, then you would need to change the channel on the second transmitter. If there is another source of RF between your transmitter and the receiver, then you would need to move the source of RF. As a last resort, you can open up the back of your receiver and you should see 2 thick black wires soldered onto the antennas. If these wires are not soldered properly, the receiver needs to be serviced for repair. The following is a list of symptoms in which your Digital Wireless device must be serviced for repair: Symptom: I hear a "click" every once in a while when my XDS95 system is on but I am not playing? Symptom: One of the green receiving section lights does not come on even when the XDR95 transmitter is right next to the receiver. Symptom: When I power up my unit, all the lights stay on (Red or Blue) and then I cannot turn the unit off. Symptom: My XDT1/XDT4 transmitter burns up a fresh battery in 1 hour. Symptom: My XDS95 receiver does not power up with a 9v battery but it will power up on a power cord adapter. Symptom: My X2 transmitter does not power up with a 9v battery.
