I may have messed up my 2.50 update. During update it says something about updating to Helix edit to 2.51 and making a complete backup from it prior to the 2.50 update. I made a mistake and backed up the unit from the Helix 2.31 editor. Now when I try to reinstall my backup, it says "no compatible files found"... although, all of my presets are still there. In most of my effects in lists mono, like the reverb category, only 5 items show... glitz, gandymede, searchlights, plateaux and doubletank, the same with the stereo cat, only the same 5 items, glitz, gandymede, searchlights, plateaux and doubletank the legacy list under all categories of effects is quite long... Is this how it's supposed to be ??? Are the legacy effects still stereo ? Is this how your's looks ??? If it's messed up, is there a way to correct this ? Mike C

Hi All, I've finally gone and bought a Line 6 Helix, which i'm picking up tomorrow with a Yamaha DBR15 speaker. In preparation for the equipment tomorrow i've been downloading any updates required for the software and noticed it was at 2.30 for the Helix and wondered do I need to download all the previous updates before installing the 2.30 or can I just download 2.30 and receive all of the FX and Amps from the previous updates at the same time? Sorry for possibly such a simple question, but i'm eager to get everything installed straight away and get playing! :) Thank you in advance! PhenJ

Hi, I recieived my AMPLIFi 75 amp yesterday and went about updating the firmware on it last night. After a good deal of frustation (The PC app kept failing to update) I managed to update it via my Mac but now I can't connect my android device, the bluetooth connects fine and the app is clearly seeing something as it says that the firmaware isn't up-to-date and so I can't us the app to make changes. I've checked on the Mac and it shows the amp firmware as definately being 2.6 and the phone app is too. The phone I am using is the Nexus 6P. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just updated Helix and everything went fine. However, I noticed the new Helix Editor updated with a new shortcut and icon but my old Helix editor shortcut is still on my desktop also. Is there a reason for this? Am I ok to delete the old HD editor? just wondering... thanks

I have an POD XT which when plugged into Monkey via USB, the software stated I needed up upgrade the Flash to 3.1. I clicked to update but the process seemed to take an extrodinary long time to complete and during the process, I noted that the screen of the Pod had 'Error Code 02' dispalyed. I reset the Pod as requested but as soon as the screen turned on, I got 'ERROR CODE 02'. I tried all the buttons, tried turning dials and nothing had no effect. On research, I found that Error Code 02 relates to an issue with the Flash Memory. It seems to be a common issue that Monkey updating the Pod can corrupt the Flash, making the Pod useless. I tried putting the Pod in safe mode using the 'Save' / 'Edit' keys which did nothing. I tried safe mode using the most left black square button, again nothing. I tried the second black square button which put the Pod into another safe mode which checked the memory, this test passed. On the Monkey, the Flash was greyed out and I couldn't update it. It recognised the Pod connected via USB but couldn't establish the connection. I tried different USB cables, different USB slots, even another power supply and got nothing but the Error Code 02 on the screen. ** SOLUTION ** On a side line building up my rig, I had purchased a second hand Edirol UM-1SX which is an old fashioned Midi USB interface box, which I was going to use with my keyboard. I'd also just purchased a couple of brand new Roland Midi Cables. Once I setup the Edirol UM-1SX with my computer, the Pod XT was recognised by Monkey. I set this up by NOT using the USB cable but just connecting the Pod via the Midi Cables via the UM-1SX. Just an important point with MIDI cables, Computer Out = Pod In and Computer In = Pod Out. Now the Pod was connected to the Computer, Flash was able to update via Midi and installed to the latest Flash 3.1. Once installed and turned the Pod off and on again, I disconnected the Midi cables and connected the Pod via the USB to use Line 6 Edit. From here, no problems in editing and installing my tones. Happy days, broken Pod to working Pod. Hope this helps.-

I posted this on TGP, and I figured I should post here as well. I think others are having the same issue, so maybe we can help find the cause; I was unsuccessful with the Helix 2.0 update today. After using the Line 6 Updater on 2 different computers (both running Windows 7), my Helix is bricked. I get either a blank screen, or I get alternating Helix and Helix Rack logos. I finally called customer support. The guy I talked to walked me through the update process again with no success. Then he had me try to revert to 1.10 using the Updater software, but that didn't work either. Apparently, multiple people have had this issue and they have not been able to determine the source of the problem. The service rep said it doesn't seem to be a Windows/Mac thing. Unfortunately, I now have to send my Helix in to Line 6 and wait for them to find a fix. He said it may take a couple of weeks to resolve and fix the issue. I've got 2 gigs next week, so I'm going to have to go back to analog. Luckily, I haven't sold any of my pedalboard (I was thinking of doing exactly that!). I've come to really rely on the Helix, but I'll manage just fine. I just wanted to warn people about the issue.

So I haven't updated my Helix once since I bought it and I'm still on v1.04.3 firmware. How do I backup all my presets on Helix? - the new editor I downloaded just shows me a message saying that my firmware is out of date so does that mean I can't back it up there? and if I can't with the this version of the editor is it possible to find that editor version still somewhere to save all my presets/ factory restore my helix/ and then update and upload the backup to my helix? Thank you.

Hey guys I'm trying to plug my helix control into my helix rack unit but it doesn't seem to want to communicate. Every time I hook up the Control the helix tells me to update the control inorder for it to work; as soon as I press CANCEL or OK my entire unit Freezes. Any thoughts on how I can update my Control Pedal?

I can't update my firehawk fx, allready download the line 6 updater but cant finde the firehwk with usb conecting, is a new pedalboard and cant do nothing with here. Please Help, i use a Pc with Windows 7 Thanks

In the description here you find information on firmware update for the Helix: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/helix/how-to-update-the-helixs-firmware-r776. If I understand this info correctly, this means that I need a running internet connection for the update. The problem is: There is no WiFi, nor any other internet connection in our band's rehearsal room whatsoever. And I'd hate to transport the helix more often than I have to, at least until I've got a flightcase for it. So my question is: Is there a way to download the firmware file and install it offline?

Hi guys, after 3 intensive days trying to update my device I finally found the solution. I´m windows 10 (64bits) user, so I´m trying all the previous windows versions, 32 and 64 bits and the only verson that works was Windows 8 32 bits version, so I made all the Updates easily. So the problem was... I don´t have a machine with Windows 8 32 bits, so I did an installation of Oracle Virtual Machine and emulate the system (check youtube videos tutorials, it´s easy to use). After install the Oracle VM, inside Windos 8 (32bits) I was able to made ALL the updates, work like a charm! Good luck! -
URGENT ! I tried updating my HD300 with the 2.01 flash memory update using Line 6 Monkey. However, an error pops up midway through the update which reads : Code 80009000 Unknown MIDI error. And the main issue is that the display on my HD300 is still stuck on "Downloading..." !!! Now I'm afraid that if I unplug the USB cable, it might render my HD300 unuseable ! Should I try turning off the power on the POD ??

Anyone else having their Helix rebuilding presets almost every time they power the unit up ? Did not happen once on 2.20 version.

Hello, Today finally bought a MIDI-USB device to connect my POD 2.0 to my computer. I'm using a LogiLink USB MIDI Cable. I installed Line 6 Monkey and Line 6 Edit decently. The usb device works fine, it is recognized by my computer. Nevertheless, when I try to update the POD 2.0 with Line 6 Monkey, even if I do what it say to do, it doesn't work and keeps saying "Could not connect to the POD 2.0. Please check all MIDI and power connections and click 'refresh' in the Tone Locker". It also happens when I run Line 6 Edit. Please, could you help me, I don't know what to do... Damien.- 23 replies

Hi, Recently I updated my system to a beta version of mac osx sierra and because of this I'm unable to use my pod hd bean. Line 6 Monkey is able to determine the device and shows options to update drivers. After updating the drivers there is an automatic restart and line 6 Monkey shows me the same old driver and gives an option to update. Have tried installing the drivers manually from the line 6 website but still the same issue. It is not possible now to downgrade the mac to older OS. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Just got my new Amplifi 75, installed the drivers and updater, then tried to update the amp on my WIndows 10 computer (I do not have another computer or access to an iOS device). The update failed- it started but never showed any progress on the progress bar, then quit and told me to put the amp into update mode. Repeatedly put amp into update mode and retried and it failed repeatedly. Tried 2 different USB cables on every port on the computer, still failed. Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and updater repeatedly and still failed. Now the amp won't even go into update mode-- where before, the amp would pop to signify being in update mode and the tone lights would be off, now when I try to put into update mode, the tone A light lights up, followed by the other three lights lighting up solid (not blinking)-- it won't do anything when in whatever mode this is. Switching the amp off and on when the lights are lit solid puts the lights back into flashing "update failed" mode. I've tried to do the factory reset repeatedly, but this just puts the amp back into the mode where all 4 lights are lit solid. I've put in a support ticket, but am not really confident that Line 6 is going to respond effectively, or at all. Has anyone experienced this total failure? Is there a fix I haven't tried yet? Should I just send the thing back? Thanks,

hi I bought device on internet a week ago and I got today. and when I trying to update on computer, but it's not working constantly with some reason( I don't know what is problem... (I did follow their saying 100%) -One interesting things, to make updating mode, I turned on, pressing A and C, BUT It should be appeared 'updating...' but it shows FX S&Q. what the heck is it? so I tried to update on tablet which is android, but it says, "Firehawk Remote has lost its data connection to the device". and It's not working. besides I tried with iphone, I can't even open firehawk remote.,, I did any answer from line6 page which is forgetting device(bluetooth), reinstall the app, anything. Plus-+ my version is 1.01. (I think it's the lowest version.) please help me. thanks

Hi, I was wondering if anyone noticed a change of the sound when updating from 2.10 to 2.11. I'm playing through headphones and I'm hearing a noticable increase of highs after the update (which I wouldn' like at all). Also some loss of dynamics. I did't change anything an globals set to the values I had before (alwas make some notes before updating). Global EQ is off. I'm not sure if it's just me or has there been some changes that affect the sound? Thanks

Some Spider V customers have expressed that they were expecting a Mac/PC editor because the amp includes a USB port, and that the manual’s wording on item (17) in the Rear Panel Connections section adds to the confusion: MAC/PC/ANDROID USB B Port – Connect a Mac/PC or Android device (with OTG adapter) to edit tones, update, playback and record audio. Future releases of the manual will revise this wording to read: MAC/PC/ANDROID USB B Port – Connect a Mac/PC (update; playback/record audio) or Android device with OTG adapter (edit tones; update; playback/record audio). As it stands, there is no Mac/PC editor, but we are aware of the request for one. At this time, we cannot divulge if or when one will be released. We apologize for any misunderstandings. Hi All, New to the forum. I have had my Amp setup for 3 years now. I bought a new (secondhand) guitar that has renewed my enthusiasm to pick up a guitar again. It seems though there are other plans afoot! I jumped online to see if there were any updates for the pedal and amp and sure enough there is! First thing I did was renew my password to login (as I forgot). Then I made sure I downloaded Line 6 sotware: Licence manager, Monkey, FBV controller & Spider Edit to my Macbook Pro. So I had everything powered off. I plugged in my Cat cable to the Amp & Pedal. I plugged in the USB between the Mac & Pedal. Turned amp on and powered laptop and logged into Monkey. Monkey found the devices and found the updates required so I downloaded those. Then right at the end of the update it came back with an error message about making sure cables are connected. (which they obviously were as everything was initially talking to each other) Then the amps display said 'Downloading'. So I thought it must have gone through. It said downloading for over an hour so I thought, these are only midi files, they ain't that big! So I tried to reinstall and then it said in the on screen software under Device Firmware, 'Unknown'. I restarted everything again but when I switched the amp back on it still came up with 'Downloading' It was at this point that I knew something had gone wrong for sure. I did a hard reset and cycled the pwr. Nothing. I searched the forums and found the factory reset. I have done that and now all the amp says is 'Ready to Install'. (which I tried but just get error messages about the firmware) If anyone knows a fix for this please please respond. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, your my only hope! -
I bought helix, but I get an error in updating. Moreover helix can not start. And the following message is now displayed. â€Boot failur.enterd update mode!†I did it all as instructed on the homepage. But somehow I can not update it. I have not heard any sound yet. I'm sad...

Apple has introduced a new warning message with iOS 10.1. The message reads: “[App Name] may slow down your iPhone/iPadâ€, followed by “The developer of this app needs to update it to improve its compatibility.†Despite this message, our testing did not reveal any issues with the StageScape app on iOS 10. In any event, Stagescape Remote 1.21 resolves this issue. With this update, Stagescape Remote will work with iOS 11 (and above) and the warning that the app needs to be updated will no longer appear.

As you can see in my screenshot, I have the Firmware version 1.12, and I am getting this error while trying to update my Helix. I downloaded and installed the Helix Application v2.01, and my Line 6 updater was already v1.09, but it got reinstalled as well. The Line 6 updater was giving this error both before I updated the Helix Application and afterwards.
