  1. All, I have seen that there is no a real solution for this error, I`ve tried everything, different USB cable and USB port, reset, different OS, manual installation of the flash memory NOTHING is working so far! Still get the following error : POD HD500X update failed. (code 80007211) Firmware update timed out waiting for response from the device. Try the update again, making sure the cables are still connected. My specs: Win7 32 bit, i5 processor with 8GB RAM, Monkey 1.66, Drivers 4.2.7.1, USB Firmware 1.01 As anyone from the technical support a solution yet for this failure ? I am quite disappointed! Thank you fr2632
  2. Hi, I was wondering if anyone noticed a change of the sound when updating from 2.10 to 2.11. I'm playing through headphones and I'm hearing a noticable increase of highs after the update (which I wouldn' like at all). Also some loss of dynamics. I did't change anything an globals set to the values I had before (alwas make some notes before updating). Global EQ is off. I'm not sure if it's just me or has there been some changes that affect the sound? Thanks
  3. Hello, all. Some Spider V customers have expressed that they were expecting a Mac/PC editor because the amp includes a USB port, and that the manual’s wording on item (17) in the Rear Panel Connections section adds to the confusion: MAC/PC/ANDROID USB B Port – Connect a Mac/PC or Android device (with OTG adapter) to edit tones, update, playback and record audio. Future releases of the manual will revise this wording to read: MAC/PC/ANDROID USB B Port – Connect a Mac/PC (update; playback/record audio) or Android device with OTG adapter (edit tones; update; playback/record audio). As it stands, there is no Mac/PC editor, but we are aware of the request for one. At this time, we cannot divulge if or when one will be released. We apologize for any misunderstandings. As always, you are encouraged to voice your opinion at line6.ideascale.com, where ideas are voted on and consistently reviewed by our Product Managers.
  4. Hi All, New to the forum. I have had my Amp setup for 3 years now. I bought a new (secondhand) guitar that has renewed my enthusiasm to pick up a guitar again. It seems though there are other plans afoot! I jumped online to see if there were any updates for the pedal and amp and sure enough there is! First thing I did was renew my password to login (as I forgot). Then I made sure I downloaded Line 6 sotware: Licence manager, Monkey, FBV controller & Spider Edit to my Macbook Pro. So I had everything powered off. I plugged in my Cat cable to the Amp & Pedal. I plugged in the USB between the Mac & Pedal. Turned amp on and powered laptop and logged into Monkey. Monkey found the devices and found the updates required so I downloaded those. Then right at the end of the update it came back with an error message about making sure cables are connected. (which they obviously were as everything was initially talking to each other) Then the amps display said 'Downloading'. So I thought it must have gone through. It said downloading for over an hour so I thought, these are only midi files, they ain't that big! So I tried to reinstall and then it said in the on screen software under Device Firmware, 'Unknown'. I restarted everything again but when I switched the amp back on it still came up with 'Downloading' It was at this point that I knew something had gone wrong for sure. I did a hard reset and cycled the pwr. Nothing. I searched the forums and found the factory reset. I have done that and now all the amp says is 'Ready to Install'. (which I tried but just get error messages about the firmware) If anyone knows a fix for this please please respond. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, your my only hope!

Help me! Can not do update

I bought helix, but I get an error in updating. Moreover helix can not start. And the following message is now displayed. â€Boot failur.enterd update mode!†I did it all as instructed on the homepage. But somehow I can not update it. I have not heard any sound yet. I'm sad...
  6. Apple has introduced a new warning message with iOS 10.1. The message reads: “[App Name] may slow down your iPhone/iPad”, followed by “The developer of this app needs to update it to improve its compatibility.” Despite this message, our testing did not reveal any issues with the StageScape app on iOS 10. In any event, Stagescape Remote 1.21 resolves this issue. With this update, Stagescape Remote will work with iOS 11 (and above) and the warning that the app needs to be updated will no longer appear.
  7. As you can see in my screenshot, I have the Firmware version 1.12, and I am getting this error while trying to update my Helix. I downloaded and installed the Helix Application v2.01, and my Line 6 updater was already v1.09, but it got reinstalled as well. The Line 6 updater was giving this error both before I updated the Helix Application and afterwards.
  8. When I connect my FVB Express MkII footboard to my spider IV 75 the tune led lights of the FVB spark once and the pedal does not work neither show any sign to be functionall (any led works). I tried with another CAT 5 cable but still have no response. Aditional to this, I can´t update the amp firmware because the program does not recognize the amp. FVB software is already updated. I guess malfunction started as I had both amp and fvb useless for a lapse (2 years). Other functions of the amp (buttons, knobs, eq, configurations, sound) appears to be working normally. My Question is if the damage could be at amp fvb port (not physical damage), or the pedal is damaged? I appreciate your help... :)

AMPLIFI 150 - New User - Multiple Issues

Looking for some help. Like a lot of other people I cant update but I have ordered the old style USB cable so will test that out tomorrow. Second issue is with the remote APP. I cant download the backing tracks, nothing happens when I click download - no big deal. Just to add to the above, the app connects and plays music but does not load tones or adjust levels etc. It says connected but it seems they are not talking to each other. Stuck with 4 tones just now, not how it was sold! The other thing, once the device connects, momentarily I see the "levels" and "tuner" on the task bar at the bottom but it quickly changes to "Connected" and will not allow me to use these features it seems. Is it the case that these features only work with the new firmware and as such I need to fix issue one first? Or can anyone offer any help or pointers? I would like to think regardless of firmware that this product should work out of the box and allow me to use the features pictured all over the box! using iOS 10 latest update on iPhone 6S. Attached screenshots to try better explain. Apologies if this issue has already been answered. ***UPDATE*** all issues fixed by software update, with the exception of the Jam Traxks. Still can't download through the app. Click and nothing happens. Screen attached

    Pod HD feature/workaround requests

I'm not in very deep, But I have read the manuals and have tinkered some. Is there a way to create a kind of "crossover" in the pre-A/B block? Perhaps a LPF on the lower wire and an HPF on the upper wire. Any thoughts? Anyone try this? Wondering about bi-amping potential this way. It would be cool if Line6 added a dedicated splitter/crossover in the Pre-A/B position-- in a similar spirit to the included the mixer in the Post-A/B position. It could have two modes: if the prior block is stereo, it would provide settings to route L & R from a stereo block to the A or B path. If the prior block is mono, it could provide a crossover option to send highs to one path and lows to the other. Being able to control the both the A/B pan, and cross-over frequency in realtime. That would be awesome. I would have liked to see more a few more realtime control sources for parameters. For example, have 4 assignable MIDI CC's, 2 LFO generators, and two dynamic envelopes based on any input source (even for side-chaining). This would allow realtime control and automation in a DAW, In the UI, the list of available controls would expand to include: EXP1, EXP2, LFO1, LFO2, ENV1, ENV2, A-MIDI CC, B-MIDI CC B, C-MIDI CC, D-MIDI CC. Then use system settings to configure each of the new controls. In the signal flow screen, there could be some change to show double-wires for stereo fx-- and split to show when L goes to A and R goes to B. It would also be cool if there was some little underline to show how much CPU is being used by which blocks. Sometimes the designers were faithful to the originals avoiding adding controls that were lacking in the originals, and sometimes they added them. I think it would be good if they added a 2nd page to some FX models to add in "modern" alterations where appropriate. I'd also like to see a modern compressor with: threshold, ratio, knee, attack & release times, and make-up gain. Don't interpret this as whining. I'm pretty happy with the HD500 (now that I've repaired the buttons and broken encoder on this used unit).

    Post Ideas on Ideascale

I'm as guilty as anyone here, but we need to be posting ideas on Ideascale. This is the best way to get Line6's attention if you have ideas for improvements. When the Ideascale email comes round each week there are dozens of suggestions for improvements for Helix, a few for Pod HD, and maybe one for Firehaek if you're lucky. If you haven't visited it yet, the link is http://line6.ideascale.com/a/home

    LINE 6 Updater Not Updating

Hello All, Helix Rack noob here. For whatever reason, the Helix rack will not connect to my PC via USB (Windows 7/Core i7/Cubase 8/32GB RAM) or be recognized by the Line Updater. I have tried plugging the USB cable into the rear USB port as has been suggested in previous posts. This was (and continues to be) met with extreme futility. Any wise suggestions that would remedy this most unfortunate situation would be enthusiastically read and eagerly anticipated. Closing salutations, MolchMon molchmon.bandcamp.com
  14. Well, obviusly I'm not part of the line6 staff but I think could be a good thing write the fixes we'll like show in our Amplifi products. -The first one probably be fix the conection problems with some kind of Android devices. -Fix "Bender" efect. (Bender – This effect lets you control a change of pitch using an FBV pedal connected to a AMPLIFi. You can set one amount of pitch shift for the heel position of the pedal, and another amount of pitch shift for the two, then rock on the pedal to change pitch from one setting to another.) I like show it working properly. -Sometimes when I play music with the cellphone linked with the Amplifi I can't listen anything and only works after turn off the bluetooth and the Amplifi and conect both again. Well what about you? What fixes you like see soon? (Sorry about my English)
  15. Hello L6 Helix forum! I have run into issues updating the helix. I purchased new from GC about a month ago. I am currently trying to update the helix. It has not been updated since purchase. My questions: Which program needs to be downloaded first? The language on the download section of the L6 website is beyond confusing to me. From what i can tell there are: -updaters -the update itself -an editor -firmware update THE MAJOR ISSUE: once i download any of the above, i open the .dmg and it does its thing and verifies and then opens a finder box with a .pkg file in it. clicking on that results in a slight delay and then a verifying box and no movement or progress occurs after that part. its just stuck! HELP!!! i can't update the helix or figure out how to get going with the editor! otherwise this thing has been a blast and is a ridiculously well thought out GUI

    How to run discontinued software

Like its predecessors, Windows 10 has a compatibility mode to allow users to run older programs written back when previous versions of Windows were the newest operating system. Right click on the app. Select "Properties". Click the Compatibility tab. Under the banner, a check box will appear next to the text "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" with the options in a drop down menu. The various Windows operating systems will appear, depending on the app. A more involved option is to install a virtual version of the old operating system of your choice (“virtual machine” or "VM") on your computer. This is different than dual-booting a computer, where the user divides/partitions the space on a single hard drive and installs a different operating system on each section, allowing the user to choose which OS is booted when the computer is powered on. The advantage with VM is the ability to run a program in the operating system that it was designed for in the first place. Windows 10 is compatible with Microsoft Virtual PC, a virtualization software that allows Windows users to run multiple versions of Windows, all the way back to Windows XP. This is a free download from the Microsoft Download Center. Microsoft provided a free copy of Windows XP to run in Windows 7 Pro. Pro versions of Windows 8.1 include Hyper-V to host alternative operating systems. Otherwise, Oracle’s (formerly Sun’s) VirtualBox and VMWare are some of the more common options available and are accessible for Windows, Mac and Linux users. Mac users can also use Boot Camp and Parallels to access alternate OS versions.

    problem with update amplifi TT

My amplifi TT when turned on , the four LEDs lights flash , and does not work ...... I have installed the latest version of drivers and the latest version of the updater, and gives me even following a fault ....... ...... all I can do ??
  18. I have had the Amplifi 150 for 3 days and played with it out of the box for 10 min. when I realized that I needed to update the amp to use my Android device before it would work with full function. Should have read this forum before purchasing!! All the LINE 6 folks can say is to try another cable or another USB port or another PC. 3 cables 8 USB ports 3 PCs later... I still can not use this $499 paper weight! And their trick on getting it back to factory settings, with the tone and volume, will not work either!! I have used Win 10, 8 ,7 and still in the same spot!!
  19. This update can be performed with either a PC (on Windows 7 or Windows 8) or with a Mac (on OS X Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite). A micro-USB cable (included with G70) is necessary to connect the device to be updated to the computer. Please note that a Line 6 account and password will also be required, in order to download the Updater app and to sign into the Updater app when launched. If you do not already have an account, you can create one at https://line6.com/login.html. Part 1 – Installing the Line 6 Updater app: Visit line6.com and sign in using the appropriate account. Go to the downloads page at www.line6.com/software and download the Line 6 Updater app for Mac or Windows. Once the Line 6 Updater app is downloaded, double-click the file to install the app on the computer. You will be guided through the installation process. Once the app is successfully installed, proceed to Part 2 – Updating a Relay TB516 G Transmitter. Part 2 – Updating a Relay TB516 G Transmitter: 1. Launch the Line 6 Updater app. 2. Once the app is launched, enter your appropriate Line 6 username and password, and then click the “Sign In†button. 3. Connect the micro-USB cable to the computer, and connect the other end to the TB516 G transmitter that is to be updated. It is recommended that there are no batteries in the transmitter for the update process. The first time this step is performed may take up to two minutes, depending on the speed of a user’s internet connection, as the machine will attempt to install a driver. Subsequent attempts of this step should occur instantaneously if the same USB port is used on the machine. The Relay TB516 G transmitter should now appear, as below: 4. Click on the Relay TB516 G Transmitter to select it 5. Click on the “Update†button towards the right, at the very top of the list. 6. Click the “Continue†button at the upper right 7. Click the “Accept†button at the upper right. 8. Click the “Next†button at the lower right of the above screen 9. Please confirm that “Firmware Version 1.xx†is now displayed in this window. You may now disconnect the Relay TB516 G Transmitter. Click the “Continue†button and you will be able to connect another device to update, as necessary. * Note: if the update process should fail for any reason during step 8, please try the following: Disconnect the Relay TB516 G from the micro-USB cable. Insert a pair of AA batteries. Power on the transmitter. After 5 seconds, power off the transmitter. Remove the batteries and connect the transmitter to the micro-USB cable as in Step 3 of the update instructions, and continue with the update procedure. Part 3 – Updating a Relay G70 Receiver: 1. Launch the Line 6 Updater app (if the app is already open, proceed to the next step). 2. Once the app is launched, enter the appropriate Line 6 username and password, click the “Sign In†button. You will be brought to the following screen: 3. Connect one end of the micro-USB cable to a USB 2.0 port on the computer (hubs are not supported). 4. With the power switch of the G70 receiver in the “0†(off) position, connect the unit to the other end of the micro-USB cable. 5. Put the power switch of the G70 receiver in the “1†(on) position. The receiver’s audio LED should appear solid red and the “LINE 6†splash screen should appear on the unit’s display: * on some USB ports with some computers, it has been observed that the receiver may not remain on the “LINE 6†screen. Should this happen, please put the power switch back to “0†and then back to “I†again – and repeat this if necessary until the device remains on the “LINE 6†screen, as above. 6. The Relay G70 Receiver icon should now appear within the app 7. Click on the Relay G70 Receiver to select it 8. Click on the “Update†button towards the right, at the very top of the list. 9. Click the “Continue†button at the upper right 10. Click the “Accept†button at the upper right. 11. Click the “Next†button at the lower right 12. Please confirm that “Firmware Version 1.xx†is now displayed in this window. You may now disconnect the receiver. Click the “Continue†button and you will be able to connect another device to update, as necessary. * Note: if the update process should fail for any reason during step 12, please try the following: Put the Relay G70 Receiver’s power switch into the “0†(off) position. Return to Step 5 and continue with the update procedure. If the updating process should fail for any reason, please follow these instructions: For the Relay TB516 G Transmitter: Please disconnect the transmitter from your computer’s USB and close the Line 6 Updater app. Insert a pair of batteries into the transmitter. Power the transmitter on and leave it on for at least 5 seconds. Power the transmitter off. Remove the batteries from the transmitter. Reconnect the transmitter to your computer’s USB. Launch the Line 6 Updater app again, sign in with your Line 6 username and password, and follow the instructions that appear to update your Relay TB516 G Transmitter. For the Relay G70 Receiver: Please disconnect the G70 receiver from your computer’s USB and close the Line 6 Updater app. Reconnect the receiver to your computer’s USB and make sure its power switch is in the “I†(on) position. The receiver should display “LINE 6†and this should remain on the display. If it does not, please disconnect the G70 receiver and then reconnect it to your computer’s USB, so that you see it continues to display “LINE 6â€. In some cases, it is possible that this may take more than one attempt. Once the “LINE 6†screen remains displayed on your G70, please launch the Line 6 Updater app again, sign in with your Line 6 username and password, and follow the instructions that appear to update your Relay G70 Receiver.
  20. As long as firmware updates involve doing global resets (9&10 footswitch reboot) which also clears out the IRs I have found I am presented with a bit of a problem. I export all my IRs at one time in a mass export before a firmware update to a fresh directory with nothing else in it, but when I use the Helix App and return to that directory to import them, they are stored in alphabetical order in the save directory in Windows. This means that when you go to do a mass import to reload them into the Helix after a global reset they appear by default in the import window in alphabetical order. This probably is not the order the IRs were loaded on your Helix. If you import them this way (alphabetical order) they will probably no longer correspond to the IRs you set up in your presets. This means your custom presets come up with the wrong IR loaded. The way to deal with this is when you open the IR import browse window in the Helix App, sort the IRs on date. Then select them all. This will allow you to import them all at one time in the same order you exported them (even though Windows may not display the time in milliseconds in the browse window, each successive IR saved in a mass export actually has a slightly later timestamp and Windows can sort on it). Perhaps other folks have a better solution but this one is working well for me. It would be great to have an "Export Setlist" in the IR section of the Helix App so this workaround wasn't necessary. However this method seems to work pretty well when you are dealing with a lot of IRs and don't want to have to re-import them one by one, and you also want them to go back into the same IR "slot"/position on the Helix that you exported from. Note: If the Helix app import browse window is not showing "Date" as one of the columns (this is the column you need to sort on), you can do the following. Right click on the directory with your IRs, choose "Properties", select the "Customize" tab, and then select "Documents" in the "Optimize this folder for" pulldown menu. This is the process for Windows 10, it should be similar in earlier Windows versions or even on the Mac.

A: Firehawk Remote requires iOS 8.0 and is compatible with the following iOS devices: iPhone 6s/6s Plus iPhone 6/6 Plus iPhone 5S iPhone 5C iPhone 5 iPhone 4S iPhone 4 iPad Pro iPad Air/Air2 iPad 4 iPad 3 iPad 2 iPad mini/mini 2/mini 3/mini 4 iPod 5 Q: How can I reset the FIREHAWK 1500 to its default settings? A: Press and hold the Master Volume knob and the Navigation Encoder (the scroll wheel) as you power up the unit. Unfortunately, any patches not backed up to My Tones prior to the reset will be lost Q: What can I do if I am experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues between my Bluetooth device and the FIREHAWK 1500? A: For troubleshooting steps about Bluetooth connectivity and usage, check out our Bluetooth Connectivity FAQ HERE. Q: What should I do If I am experiencing connection issues with the FIREHAWK 1500 Remote app when I switch back and forth between apps on my iOS device? A: An important thing to note about the FIREHAWK Remote app functionality is that in addition to the iOS Bluetooth connection between your FIREHAWK and your iOS device, there is a secondary 'sync' connection between the amp and the app. Each time you minimize/close the app, the connection between the FIREHAWK Remote app and the FIREHAWK will need to be re-established, even if your iOS device is reporting that the FIREHAWK is connected via 'Bluetooth'. In this case, re-opening the FIREHAWK Remote app will automatically re-establish the connection within a few seconds. Make sure to look at the main menu of the FIREHAWK Remote app and wait for it to indicate that your FIREHAWK is 'connected' before moving forward using the app. If it does not automatically re-connect, close the FIREHAWK Remote app by double-tapping your iOS home key, then sliding the FIREHAWK Remote app window up and off the screen. Relaunch the FIREHAWK Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the FIREHAWK . Android devices usually have a function that lists all open programs where you can slide the app left or right to close it. Relaunch the FIREHAWK Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the hardware. Q: Can the FIREHAWK Remote App stream songs that are stored in the cloud and not on my mobile device? A: No. The FIREHAWK Remote App can only play back songs that are stored on your mobile device. Within the FIREHAWK Remote App settings, you can enable 'Hide Songs Not On Device' so that you only see songs that are stored on your mobile device when playing music from your Library. The Android app does not have this setting, but still only plays back songs stored on the device. Q: How can I search for a specific tone if I don't have the song or artist in my Library? A: To search for a specific tone, go to your Library within FIREHAWK Remote and pick any artist, then one of their albums, and then any song. This will begin to play the song and present you with a list of tones that match the song that is playing. You can then swipe down from the top of the tone list to unveil a ‘Search Tone Cloud’ field where you can search for an artist or song name to find tones without having the song or artist in your library. Q: Can I use the FIREHAWK Remote app to load or edit tone files from my other existing Line 6 products? A: The FIREHAWK Remote app is only compatible with tone files created with the AMPLIFi family of products. Q: Can I use the FIREHAWK Remote app with a Line 6 Mobile In or Sonic Port? A: No. The FIREHAWK Remote app is only compatible with the FIREHAWK 1500. Q: What is the USB input on the back panel of FIREHAWK 1500 for? A: It's used to update the unit with a Windows computer, and to record to your DAW. Q: Where can I register my FIREHAWK 1500? A: After logging into or creating a Line 6 user account HERE, you can go HERE and enter in your serial number that is found on the back of your FIREHAWK 1500, it begins with '(21)PTM', simply fill in the remaining digits. Q: Where can I provide my feedback or make a suggestion about FIREHAWK 1500? A: We encourage you to visit our IdeaScale portal HERE and let us know about your ideas and suggestions. Helix Firmware v1.06.0 Available

http://line6.com/software/index.html ...plus the Helix 1.03 application... I added this, because still no announcement right here ;)
  24. Purchased an amplifi FX100 today. After playing for a few minutes, it said on the app that it needed an update and it would take 30-45 minutes. I let it update but accidently hit the home screen button when it was almost over. I went back into the app and it said "update failed". I now have the 4 preset buttons flashing on my fx 100, and the app does not show the update anymore. I have tried to factory reset the fx100 (power off pedal, hold down volume knob & tap button then power back on while holding for some time). It did not work. I would hate to return this item but its not looking good so far. Any help please?

HD 500 stuck on driver 4.2.5.1

I have tried and re-tried but can't seem to get this done. My laptop runs win7. I've got Monkey at 1.71, updated the USB firmware to 1.04, re-booted both POD and laptop ad nauseum, even turned off my Norton... but whenever Monkey tries to update the FW, it thinks it's successful yet shows the driver at 4.2.5.1. My goal is to get my hd500 from 2.32 to 2.62, but I don't want to even attempt this if I can't even get the drivers to update. Anybody got any ideas? Also, when updating the POD Flash Memory, am I supposed to hold down a nav button and power it on somewhere in the process? THANKS (in advance)!
