  1. Hi everyone, I've bought a second hand Flextone III XL, i know it's kinda old now but i hope i can still use Line 6 edit to load custom tones, but the loading bar stops at 5 seconds, and a MIDI timeout error appears. so i spent the night trying to connect my amp to my laptop in order to update the flash memory with line 6 monkey so maybe line 6 edit would recognize it. I looked a lot of threads on this forum, i'm using the M-audio Uno, with the manufacturer's drivers, tried the safe mode Power + A ( then only the A button lights up ), and nothing happens . monkey does recognize my amp, but when i try to update ( with "update selection" and "update from file" ), I choose the second option ( install the new default patches ) it stops at "reading existing patches" then I get the errors : Please, tell me what more can i try, i even tried a hard reset ( A + D + Power ), downloading the 1.0 file and loading it with monkey, nothing works.
  2. Backed up everything as recommended but lost all my bank/snapshot names... anyone else?
  3. i drive two selfmade FRFR active monitors in a stereo setup via AES/EBU on the Helix floor. Still a week ago, everything worked fine. The monitors are powerd each by a Hypex Module PSC 2.400 wich has multiple inputs (analog + digital) wich are autoswitching. Yesterdy i wanted to play (OK - i call in playing) and there was nothing. No sound, no noise - just silence. Did'nt change anything as far as i know. Tried then first to reboot, other cables, changing sides - nothing again. Via Headphone, everything ist ok. Via XLR out, everything is ok. Every output block is set to multi and as said - i changed nothing. The only thing i did the last time was the update to 2.82 but i'm not even sure, if the digital out worked once after the update or not. After a while, i found the digital output configuration in the globals set to S/PDIF instead of AES/EBU. Changing to AES/EBU - and everything was fine. So just in case someone has similar problems - check the global setings ;) - they might have been changed with the update. P.S. Sorry for my bad engish :(
  4. i want to use my pod x3 as audio interface but i cant install the drivers
  5. Here is how to update the Firehawk 1500 step by step: Note: The versions of the drivers and software may have older versions. Make sure to always select the latest versions. For Windows 7, 8, or 10 systems, please start with step 1. For OSX 10.8 and up, skip to step 8. 1. In order for your computer to see the Firehawk 1500 you will need to install the driver for the device to your computer. Open a web browser and navigate to www.Line6.com/software and select Product: Firehawk Software: Drivers from the drop down menus at the top of the page. 2. Pick the top selection from the next page by selecting "Get Download". 3. Accept the terms. 4. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Pressing Control + J will bring up the downloads menu in most windows browsers, alt + command + L for Safari on Mac. 5.Disconnect your Firehawk from the computer if it's connected via USB and run the installer. 6. In the installer make sure the drivers from the Firehawk have a green check. Click next until the installer completes. 7. Reconnect Hardware when prompted and let Windows assign the driver. Now your computer will be able to communicate properly with the Firehawk. 8. Now, let's download the updater utility. Open your web browser, navigate back to www.Line6.com/software and select Line 6 Updater under the software drop down menu. 9. Select get download under the top selection, the latest choice will always be at the top. 10. Accept the agreement. 11. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Pressing Control + J will bring up the downloads menu in most Windows browsers, alt + command + L for Safari on Mac. Or the installer will be in your downloads folder. 12. Run the installer for Line 6 updater. 13. In the installer make sure Updater has a green check, click next until the installer completes. 14. Run Line 6 updater from the start menu on WIn 7, Applications Folder on a Mac, or C:/Program Files (86)/Line 6 on Windows 8. 15. Accept the agreement. 16. Login to Updater with your username and password from the Line 6 website. 17. Select the Firehawk. 18. Select the latest version of flash memory. This is always the top selection. 19. NOTE: This part of the updater explains how to reset the Firehawk if it should fail. You can refer to the image here for instructions if that should ever happen. Click Next to Proceed. 20. Wait for the progress bar to complete. 21. Updater will let you know when the update is complete.
  6. I bought a refurbished Firehawk FX that always boots into a weird menu. I'm not able to exit the menu, nor I can perform the factory reset. I've tried updating the device to different version multiple times on two computers but the problem persists. I'm aware that this menu is propably the so called update menu I've heard some people talk about which is supposed to be opened by pressing A+C buttons when powering up, but I haven't seen any pictures of it anywhere so I can only guess. So I took a video: Should I assume my Firehawk is broken? I can still return the device. EDIT: Each time I've performed an update, the updater has indicated that the updates succeeded.
  7. Hello people! I'm brand new to the Line 6 forums. I'm having a few issues updating the Firmware on my LINE 6 M13. The pedal is awesome (when it works). So everything stopped working and i stopped getting sound out of it. When I hook up my cables, you can hear this buzzing when you turn the overdrive effects on, so there definately is a connection there, but when you plug the guitar in nothing comes through. I have of course tested out all cables and everything. So I did some digging and I am on something like 1.07 firmware, and I need to upgrade to the newest one. I've been following the instructions that I found here (http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/m5-m9-m13/m13-firmware-update-instructions-r364) They are easy to follow but still nothing. I've tried it using MIDI-OX utility. I download the Sysex file, and follow it step by step. When I'm in MIDI OX and I send the file through to the unit, my little USB Midi device lights up (it has LEDS for Midi in and Midi out, and the Midi Out is flashing indicating that it's sending midi data through the out cable). My poor old M13 just sits there, on the display it says 'Waiting command' I get all the way to the end sending the Sysex data over, but it looks like the M13 is not recieving it. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this and if anyone has successfully done it!
  8. Hi there, I have bought an used HD500X and I would like to get it in a “Factory configuration”, because I don’t know If the previous owner did changes in any patch or configuration. How can I reset it completely? On the other side, how can I update it to its last firmware version? Best, Bartok
  9. Any rumours or news about a FHFX upgrade to a newer model? Getting a little frustrated by the lack of updates and support from Line 6, so I’m hoping there may be a new model coming out between the pricier Helix and this one??
  10. hello there. ive been trying updating the firm of my helix as usual, said an error ocur and now its useless, it wont come back to the 2.71 wich i had. Pleas any suggestion? what shoud i do!
  11. While updating my Helix floor, it gave me "Boot Failure. Entered Update Mode" message on the pedal. After waiting half an hour it was still the same, so I canceled the process. Upon Rebooting the HELIX same message showed up again and again. I tried changing usb cables and usb ports on my pc and it still did not work. WHAT IS HAPPENING? I need my pedal back :( Help!
  12. Just attempted the 2.81 release update, got halfway through (according to the red bar in the updater) had one "click to continue" then it all went to hell Idled for over four hours. No motion on the progress bar, Helix floor display reads :-3 in the upper left, Boot Failure.Entered Update Mode! with the squiggly line animation underneath. HELP! I wanted to use this at a gig tonight!!!!
  13. Maybe I missed something, but being super nervous about losing all my presets, I did multiple backups in multiple different ways, just to be sure I didn't lose any of my custom presets. Did the update as per the very detailed instructions and ya after about 25-30mins I was up and playing again and low and behold.... all my presets were still there. So my question to you guys..... I thought we were suppose to lose the presets and would require an import from the backup, did I just get lucky? Or did everyone else have the same experience. Just want to make sure I actually updated properly, I'm guessing it did as it shows 2.81 on boot-up. I have 2 user folders in use - user3 and user4 and all my presets and IRs remained without requiring an import. Cheers! R.
  14. Purchased an amplifi FX100 today. After playing for a few minutes, it said on the app that it needed an update and it would take 30-45 minutes. I let it update but accidently hit the home screen button when it was almost over. I went back into the app and it said "update failed". I now have the 4 preset buttons flashing on my fx 100, and the app does not show the update anymore. I have tried to factory reset the fx100 (power off pedal, hold down volume knob & tap button then power back on while holding for some time). It did not work. I would hate to return this item but its not looking good so far. Any help please?
  15. I have a Helix bought a couple of years ago and I want to update it. Is there anyone who can cut through the pages of info and tell me how to, back up my old patches (I can't see how to install an old version of HX edit to do this) then down load the new firmware and software to get the Helix up to date. Many thanks in advance.
  16. I've owned a Helix rack for about six months, finally decided to pick up a Control. I opened the box, skimmed the manual (I was expecting to be able to just plug it in, but wanted to make sure), plugged in and powered on. All the scribble strips lit up solid white, and "Control needs to be updated" appeared on the Rack's screen. I pushed the 'green OK button' (knob six), and after a few seconds got a "Communication failed" message, which would endlessly loop if I kept hitting OK. I figured out how to power the Control on, into update mode (or at least, that's what the display said), but it didn't make any difference. My Helix was on 2.80, so I downgraded to 2.71 and tried again - no luck. I discovered that the Control's firmware is 1.06.05, so I thought that maybe being so old it would have to hit a 'waypoint' release - so I downgraded the Rack to 2.00. Still no change in behavior. I opened a ticket, but I suspect they're pretty overwhelmed with 2.80 stuff right now. I'm guessing there's no other way to force a Control update, than through the Rack?
  17. This document explains how to update your FBV Mk II (Express or Shortboard) controller using Line 6 Monkey. You will need to connect your FBV Mk II controller using a USB cable to your computer, then run the Line 6 Monkey application. 18. Update Instructions Available HERE NOTE: For X3 Live and X3 Pro users, see notes on subsequent firmware releases at https://line6.com/software/index.html. POD X3 Product Family Flash Memory v2.0 RELEASE NOTES: If you are a POD X3/X3 Live/X3 Pro owner, please download and install the latest version of Line 6 Monkey software and use it to update your POD X3 Live to this latest version of Flash Memory. For best results, calibrate pedal after update] POD X3 v2.0 is a FREE update to all POD X3 Product Family customers. It includes 12 additional FX inspired by the sounds of sought-after stompboxes and rack gear! What does it include? Vocoder: Our 14 band Vocoder is based on the classic rack units employed by recording studios and modular synths since the early '70s. Use the decay knob to slow down the Vocoder's responsiveness to create some haunting drones. Dynamic Delay: Made popular by the T.C. Electronic® 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay. While you play, the Dynamic Delay keeps the volume of the echoes turned down, so that the echoes don't overwhelm what you're doing. Dimension: Based on* the Roland® Dimension D. One of the first true stereo chorus units. Relatively subtle in its nature, it became an industry standard for double-track effects. Pitch Vibrato: Based on* the Boss® VB-2. It contained a circuit that produced bubbly vibrato, but was popular for its 'rise time' control that when engaged, sped up to where you last set it. Voice Box: Inspired by Vocoders, Vocal Tracts & Surgical Tubing. This model gives your guitar a sound that's typical of a classic talk box. V-Tron: Voice Box meets Mu-Tron® III. In this model your guitar again 'speaks' with an almost human voice, but now it does so in response to your playing. Octisynth: Inspired by eight armed denizens of the deep. Everyone knows that all you need is a bottleneck and a reverb tank to get whale sounds, but how about our friend the Octopus? Q Filter: Your very own parked wah! You've heard it before from Mark Knopfler and from Brian May of Queen's a wah 'parked' in one position. Pattern Tremolo: Inspired by* Lightfoot Labs Goatkeeper. This effect is what you'd get if you could hook up a vintage keyboard sequencer to a tremolo. Frequency Shifter: A ring modulator gives you both up and down shifted frequencies. Here you can select just the up or down shifted frequencies. Barberpole Phaser: A classic effect from the world of modular synths. This phaser either sounds like it's always going up or always down depending on how you set it. Set to stereo you get both! Script Phaser: Based on* MXR® Phase 90. Just like the original our model only features a Speed control * All product names used in this webpage are trademarks of their respective owners, which are in no way associated or affiliated with Line 6. A: For troubleshooting steps about Bluetooth connectivity and usage, check out our Bluetooth Connectivity FAQ HERE. Q: What should I do If I am experiencing connection issues with the FIREHAWK 1500 Remote app when I switch back and forth between apps on my iOS device? A: An important thing to note about the FIREHAWK Remote app functionality is that in addition to the iOS Bluetooth connection between your FIREHAWK and your iOS device, there is a secondary 'sync' connection between the amp and the app. Each time you minimize/close the app, the connection between the FIREHAWK Remote app and the FIREHAWK will need to be re-established, even if your iOS device is reporting that the FIREHAWK is connected via 'Bluetooth'. In this case, re-opening the FIREHAWK Remote app will automatically re-establish the connection within a few seconds. Make sure to look at the main menu of the FIREHAWK Remote app and wait for it to indicate that your FIREHAWK is 'connected' before moving forward using the app. If it does not automatically re-connect, close the FIREHAWK Remote app by double-tapping your iOS home key, then sliding the FIREHAWK Remote app window up and off the screen. Relaunch the FIREHAWK Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the FIREHAWK . Android devices usually have a function that lists all open programs where you can slide the app left or right to close it. Relaunch the FIREHAWK Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the hardware. Q: Can the FIREHAWK Remote App stream songs that are stored in the cloud and not on my mobile device? A: No. The FIREHAWK Remote App can only play back songs that are stored on your mobile device. Within the FIREHAWK Remote App settings, you can enable 'Hide Songs Not On Device' so that you only see songs that are stored on your mobile device when playing music from your Library. The Android app does not have this setting, but still only plays back songs stored on the device. Q: How can I search for a specific tone if I don't have the song or artist in my Library? A: To search for a specific tone, go to your Library within FIREHAWK Remote and pick any artist, then one of their albums, and then any song. This will begin to play the song and present you with a list of tones that match the song that is playing. You can then swipe down from the top of the tone list to unveil a ‘Search Tone Cloud’field where you can search for an artist or song name to find tones without having the song or artist in your library. Q: Can I use the FIREHAWK Remote app to load or edit tone files from my other existing Line 6 products? A: The FIREHAWK Remote app is only compatible with tone files created with the AMPLIFi family of products. Q: Can I use the FIREHAWK Remote app with a Line 6 Mobile In or Sonic Port? A: No. The FIREHAWK Remote app is only compatible with the FIREHAWK 1500. Q: What is the USB input on the back panel of FIREHAWK 1500 for? A: It's used to update the unit with a Windows computer, and to record to your DAW. Q: Where can I register my FIREHAWK 1500? A: After logging into or creating a Line 6 user account HERE, you can go HERE and enter in your serial number that is found on the back of your FIREHAWK 1500, it begins with '(21)PTM', simply fill in the remaining digits. Q: How does the G70/75 system work with other Line 6 Wireless? Even with RF2/RF3 co-habitability, that does not necessarily mean that every channel will work in the same environment. Check out the chart below to see what channels are available when using our other Relay products. Note: The G70/75 will only work in the same environment as current RF2 wireless systems. Those relay systems with older firmware (v1.0) limited to using RF 1 will not work. Q: What are the dimensions of the receivers? G70 receiver Height 2.06" Width 5.53" Length 4.06" G75 receiver Height 2.63" Width 6.22" Length 4.65" Q: Are all Line 6 Wireless receivers and transmitters interchangable with the G70/75? A: No, Only G70/75 receiver work with the TB516G transmitter Q: How is the Relay G70/75 receiver powered? A: The receiver is powered by the supplied micro USB power supply, or an optional DC-1g Q: What are the frequencies for the cable tone? Q: How do I update the firmware for my G70/75? Check out the instructions here! Q: My Windows system won't update the G70/75 When attempting to update the TBP516G transmitter using Windows 7, some users have reported that the transmitter either does not establish a connection via USB, or loses the connection during the update. It is worth noting that Windows supplies the driver for the Relay G70/G75 transmitter. There are two scenarios where the transmitter is not recognized by the updater app after connecting via USB: the updater is launched before the transmitter drivers have finished installing. This may occur more often on slower computers, computers that already have several open windows or processes, or with machines that have a slower internet connection. the "Driver not successfully installed" message appears. In this case, click "Change settings" then choose "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)" in the Device Installation Settings dialogue box, then select "Save Changes". In the event the "Driver not installed" message box is not present, you can navigate to Device Installation Settings using the following steps: Click Start, type 'devices and printers' in the search box, and then click Devices and Printers. Under Devices, right-click the icon for the computer, and then click Device installation settings. Choose "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)" and select "Save Changes" button. After changing this setting, remove the USB cable, then insert it again so that Windows can detect the transmitter and install the driver for it. It is possible to see the transmitter update fail shortly after it starts. This can occur if one of the transmitter drivers has not finished installing before you initiate an update. In this case, the updater will typically display that the firmware version is unknown. The workaround here is to wait until the driver completes installation, or disconnect the USB cable, reconnect it, then start the update again.

  25. I recently bought a used POD HD300 and I use the POD HD300 Edit software on OSX High Sierra with no problem. There is however an OSX update to Mojave and I do not know if I updated the OS would the POD HD300 Edit still work. Mojave is not mentioned in the supported OS list of the latest 2.03 (10/14/14) version of the Edit software. Is there anyone who has OSX Mojave with a usable POD HD300 Edit out there?
