  1. When I connect my FVB Express MkII footboard to my spider IV 75 the tune led lights of the FVB spark once and the pedal does not work neither show any sign to be functionall (any led works). I tried with another CAT 5 cable but still have no response. Aditional to this, I can´t update the amp firmware because the program does not recognize the amp. FVB software is already updated. I guess malfunction started as I had both amp and fvb useless for a lapse (2 years). Other functions of the amp (buttons, knobs, eq, configurations, sound) appears to be working normally. My Question is if the damage could be at amp fvb port (not physical damage), or the pedal is damaged? I appreciate your help... :)
  2. Looking for some help. Like a lot of other people I cant update but I have ordered the old style USB cable so will test that out tomorrow. Second issue is with the remote APP. I cant download the backing tracks, nothing happens when I click download - no big deal. Just to add to the above, the app connects and plays music but does not load tones or adjust levels etc. It says connected but it seems they are not talking to each other. Stuck with 4 tones just now, not how it was sold! The other thing, once the device connects, momentarily I see the "levels" and "tuner" on the task bar at the bottom but it quickly changes to "Connected" and will not allow me to use these features it seems. Is it the case that these features only work with the new firmware and as such I need to fix issue one first? Or can anyone offer any help or pointers? I would like to think regardless of firmware that this product should work out of the box and allow me to use the features pictured all over the box! using iOS 10 latest update on iPhone 6S. Attached screenshots to try better explain. Apologies if this issue has already been answered. ***UPDATE*** all issues fixed by software update, with the exception of the Jam Traxks. Still can't download through the app. Click and nothing happens. Screen attached
  3. I'm not in very deep, But I have read the manuals and have tinkered some. Is there a way to create a kind of "crossover" in the pre-A/B block? Perhaps a LPF on the lower wire and an HPF on the upper wire. Any thoughts? Anyone try this? Wondering about bi-amping potential this way. It would be cool if Line6 added a dedicated splitter/crossover in the Pre-A/B position-- in a similar spirit to the included the mixer in the Post-A/B position. It could have two modes: if the prior block is stereo, it would provide settings to route L & R from a stereo block to the A or B path. If the prior block is mono, it could provide a crossover option to send highs to one path and lows to the other. Being able to control the both the A/B pan, and cross-over frequency in realtime. That would be awesome. I would have liked to see more a few more realtime control sources for parameters. For example, have 4 assignable MIDI CC's, 2 LFO generators, and two dynamic envelopes based on any input source (even for side-chaining). This would allow realtime control and automation in a DAW, In the UI, the list of available controls would expand to include: EXP1, EXP2, LFO1, LFO2, ENV1, ENV2, A-MIDI CC, B-MIDI CC B, C-MIDI CC, D-MIDI CC. Then use system settings to configure each of the new controls. In the signal flow screen, there could be some change to show double-wires for stereo fx-- and split to show when L goes to A and R goes to B. It would also be cool if there was some little underline to show how much CPU is being used by which blocks. Sometimes the designers were faithful to the originals avoiding adding controls that were lacking in the originals, and sometimes they added them. I think it would be good if they added a 2nd page to some FX models to add in "modern" alterations where appropriate. I'd also like to see a modern compressor with: threshold, ratio, knee, attack & release times, and make-up gain. Don't interpret this as whining. I'm pretty happy with the HD500 (now that I've repaired the buttons and broken encoder on this used unit).
  4. I was updating my Firehawk FX by bluetooth and suddenly the bluetooth conection failed. when i saw the firehawk, the display shows the version and the a,b,c,d presets are flashing red lights. what can i do?
  5. I'm as guilty as anyone here, but we need to be posting ideas on Ideascale. This is the best way to get Line6's attention if you have ideas for improvements. When the Ideascale email comes round each week there are dozens of suggestions for improvements for Helix, a few for Pod HD, and maybe one for Firehaek if you're lucky. If you haven't visited it yet, the link is http://line6.ideascale.com/a/home
  6. Hello All, Helix Rack noob here. For whatever reason, the Helix rack will not connect to my PC via USB (Windows 7/Core i7/Cubase 8/32GB RAM) or be recognized by the Line Updater. I have tried plugging the USB cable into the rear USB port as has been suggested in previous posts. This was (and continues to be) met with extreme futility. Any wise suggestions that would remedy this most unfortunate situation would be enthusiastically read and eagerly anticipated. Closing salutations, MolchMon molchmon.bandcamp.com
  7. Well, obviusly I'm not part of the line6 staff but I think could be a good thing write the fixes we'll like show in our Amplifi products. -The first one probably be fix the conection problems with some kind of Android devices. -Fix "Bender" efect. (Bender – This effect lets you control a change of pitch using an FBV pedal connected to a AMPLIFi. You can set one amount of pitch shift for the heel position of the pedal, and another amount of pitch shift for the two, then rock on the pedal to change pitch from one setting to another.) I like show it working properly. -Sometimes when I play music with the cellphone linked with the Amplifi I can't listen anything and only works after turn off the bluetooth and the Amplifi and conect both again. Well what about you? What fixes you like see soon? (Sorry about my English)
  8. Hello L6 Helix forum! I have run into issues updating the helix. I purchased new from GC about a month ago. I am currently trying to update the helix. It has not been updated since purchase. My questions: Which program needs to be downloaded first? The language on the download section of the L6 website is beyond confusing to me. From what i can tell there are: -updaters -the update itself -an editor -firmware update THE MAJOR ISSUE: once i download any of the above, i open the .dmg and it does its thing and verifies and then opens a finder box with a .pkg file in it. clicking on that results in a slight delay and then a verifying box and no movement or progress occurs after that part. its just stuck! HELP!!! i can't update the helix or figure out how to get going with the editor! otherwise this thing has been a blast and is a ridiculously well thought out GUI
  9. My amplifi TT when turned on , the four LEDs lights flash , and does not work ...... I have installed the latest version of drivers and the latest version of the updater, and gives me even following a fault ....... ...... all I can do ??
  10. I have had the Amplifi 150 for 3 days and played with it out of the box for 10 min. when I realized that I needed to update the amp to use my Android device before it would work with full function. Should have read this forum before purchasing!! All the LINE 6 folks can say is to try another cable or another USB port or another PC. 3 cables 8 USB ports 3 PCs later... I still can not use this $499 paper weight! And their trick on getting it back to factory settings, with the tone and volume, will not work either!! I have used Win 10, 8 ,7 and still in the same spot!!
  11. As long as firmware updates involve doing global resets (9&10 footswitch reboot) which also clears out the IRs I have found I am presented with a bit of a problem. I export all my IRs at one time in a mass export before a firmware update to a fresh directory with nothing else in it, but when I use the Helix App and return to that directory to import them, they are stored in alphabetical order in the save directory in Windows. This means that when you go to do a mass import to reload them into the Helix after a global reset they appear by default in the import window in alphabetical order. This probably is not the order the IRs were loaded on your Helix. If you import them this way (alphabetical order) they will probably no longer correspond to the IRs you set up in your presets. This means your custom presets come up with the wrong IR loaded. The way to deal with this is when you open the IR import browse window in the Helix App, sort the IRs on date. Then select them all. This will allow you to import them all at one time in the same order you exported them (even though Windows may not display the time in milliseconds in the browse window, each successive IR saved in a mass export actually has a slightly later timestamp and Windows can sort on it). Perhaps other folks have a better solution but this one is working well for me. It would be great to have an "Export Setlist" in the IR section of the Helix App so this workaround wasn't necessary. However this method seems to work pretty well when you are dealing with a lot of IRs and don't want to have to re-import them one by one, and you also want them to go back into the same IR "slot"/position on the Helix that you exported from. Note: If the Helix app import browse window is not showing "Date" as one of the columns (this is the column you need to sort on), you can do the following. Right click on the directory with your IRs, choose "Properties", select the "Customize" tab, and then select "Documents" in the "Optimize this folder for" pulldown menu. This is the process for Windows 10, it should be similar in earlier Windows versions or even on the Mac.
  12. http://line6.com/software/index.html ...plus the Helix 1.03 application... I added this, because still no announcement right here ;)
  13. I have tried and re-tried but can't seem to get this done. My laptop runs win7. I've got Monkey at 1.71, updated the USB firmware to 1.04, re-booted both POD and laptop ad nauseum, even turned off my Norton... but whenever Monkey tries to update the FW, it thinks it's successful yet shows the driver at 4.2.5.1. My goal is to get my hd500 from 2.32 to 2.62, but I don't want to even attempt this if I can't even get the drivers to update. Anybody got any ideas? Also, when updating the POD Flash Memory, am I supposed to hold down a nav button and power it on somewhere in the process? THANKS (in advance)!
  14. So whenever I update my Helix it always recommends saving a bundle and then overwriting everything to make sure presets are all updated and such. Now if I just save a bundle, doesn't that save ALL the presets on the Helix? Therefore, if I update, and the import the bundle, aren't I just reloading all the OLD presets? What I've been doing to be safe is just exporting my 2 user setlists that I've created, then updating, then holding buttons 7 and 8 (bottom left 2 buttons) to overwrite the presets, then importing my 2 custom user setlists. Any feedback? Thanks!
  15. Hi there! I wanted some help on a corrupt install. I installed an update from my phone via bluetooth but the install got interrupted half-way. Now the amp won't be detected by my PC (using the Line6 update software) or respond to any inputs. It just shows all the patch lights as on (A,B,C,D). Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you
  16. Hey guys, I'm about to update my DT 50 212 soon, so I've been reading this old thread (and others): http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/89020/ Just wanted to check if I can do this update from my USB/MIDI keyboard controller (an AKAI MPK 61). It has both MIDI In and MIDI Out ports. Does anyone know if that would work? Or should I get a dedicated interface for this (something like that M-Audio Uno one)? If the keyboard works (hooked up to the computer via USB), then I'm assuming I'll need 2 MIDI cables connecting: DT 50 MIDI In -> AKAI Midi Out DT 50 MIDI Out -> AKAI MIDI In. Is that correct? Has anyone succeeded performing the firmware update from a keyboard controller before? I'm always afraid of doing these firmware updates on my Line 6 gear... I can't afford to "brick" my amp., since I'm very far from any Line 6 service center. Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  17. Sorry I having this minor annoying problem that slowly becoming a huge deal When changing the Driver Format in Pod Farm from 16 bit/44k Hz to 24 bit/48 Hz the driver will change automatically back to it default setting when accessing any problem related to the microphone example audacity, OBS maybe even sony vegas. 18. Hello, Yesterday I received my new Line 6 Amplifi 150. In order to connect to the amp with Android I performed the update of Amplifi to version 2.1. After the installation the Tone button doesn't light anymore. Today I went back to the shop en traded with a new Amplifi 150 because I thought it was a hardware fault. But again after installing version 2.1, there is no light on the Tone knob. Am I the only one here? kind regards, Chris

  21. malfunction in Windows 10 "device not migrated": works well with ASIO drivers, while the Line 6 audio output, but does not work Audio Recording line 6. Now reinstall the drivers, but nothing. He says he is being used by another device, but not true
  22. A failed firmware attempt can have a number of causes. Computer users may be having USB hardware or driver configuration issues, while mobile device users may experience Bluetooth range or interference issues. In any event, a failure in the update process will produce the following page: In our experience, in addition to using Update Mode as laid out on the above page, the best results come from using the USB updater, possibly on multiple computers in case a given computer is experiencing USB configuration issues. We have seen some users experience update issues with older Firehawk drivers still installed on Windows. Go to My Computer > Device Manager > Firehawk then right click "Uninstall Drivers" make sure you click the box saying "Remove Files" Then unplug your Firehawk, plug it back in and repeat these steps until Windows doesn't have any more drivers installed to assign to the Firehawk. Finally, reinstall the latest driver and let Windows assign it.
  23. It would be awesome if there were an adjustable frequency filter in the Smart Harmony effect that would allow the signal to pass un processed below the filter setting and processed above the setting. Is this possible?
  24. Hello there, I'm having some troubles right after the 2.62 firmware update. (I did it today, the previous version was 1.30 I guess) My POD HD 500 doesn't work anymore, and everything was ok before the update. I tried to downgrade , but there is a communication error between the POD and the computer that wasn't there before. if I connect the pod on power and select any set, it crashes. And if I turn the Tunner on, a strange sound appears when I play he chords, and when I press any FS button, it crashes. Please, I need some help!
  25. Here is how to update the Firehawk FX step by step: For Windows 7, 8, or 10 systems, please start with step 1. For OSX 10.8 and up, skip to step 8. 1.
