  1. Hi, I've started playing my Firehawk buy connecting it to my notebook using a USB connection, the audio quality is awesome (better than playing through my amp), but I experience quite a lot of latency while playing, I'd like to known if anyone has a fix for this, because it's quite frustrating when playing to a backing track or metronome.
  2. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I updated all my software today through the Line 6 Monkey app, made a new tone, sounds great through my monitors (RCA from POD). Go into Logic Pro 9 and it's no longer receiving audio input. It recognizes the POD HD i/o as an option, and if I turn off the POD, Logic tells me an audio device has been removed - when I turn the POD back on, the POD HD options again become available for input and output - cool. So why when I hit the record icon on my track is there no input metering activity? It won't record any audio. Now that I think of it, I also upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan OSX yesterday - driver incompatibility maybe? Things I've checked: - HD EDIT is not running (Read that could cause a conflict) - Logic Pro 9 is up to date - Volume is up - [R] icons are ON - [M] icon is OFF Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  3. Hello, I am trying to record in my DAW using my Amplifi TT, but I am having some difficulty as I am able to hear my input both though the DAW and out of the device itself. I also have a POD HD 500X, and the audio control panel has a "Hardware Monitor Level", which has the exact function I am looking for on my Amplifi TT. My input is going in the guitar in, and the output is via the headphone out. I have the TT connected to my computer via USB. If I mute the input in my DAW, I can hear the TT's input fine. When I unmute it, I can hear it "stacked" twice, so to speak. Can someone assist me so that I can only hear the output through my DAW? Thank you!
  4. Hi everyone! I just bought a line 6 POD HD500X pedal and I've read some posts from this forum (http://line6.com/support/topic/1672-can-i-utilize-a-usb-3-cable-for-my-pod-x3/ http://line6.com/support/topic/8367-cant-install-drivers-for-pod-hd500x/) I actually have got the same problems as Miguel Marquez in the second post, but it has passed already a year and the thread is not answered. Ok, I only have 1 computer, and the problem (I think) is that all my USB ports are 3.0, but i would like to see what do you guys think, cause probably I may be wrong.
  5. Why can't I update the drivers on my Bass Pod XT Pro. It is authorized, it did work and now I can only connect analog and not through USB. I feel like this unit wazs stolen from me by not providing drivers that lets the device work the way it was intended. Line 6 Monkey can't find it, but with midi I can update the firm ware but that is all. When it gives the list of drivers to install the bass pod pro xt is not even listed.

    Blue Screen

has anyone else experienced blue screening when unplugging their Amplifi TT, or any other Amplifi product from their windows computer? I was recording guitar, then when I finished, I unplugged the USB from my laptop and it caused a blue screen. The worse part is I lost what I did.
  7. I've only had the fx 100 for about week, but i already love it. I've recorded some stuff using the mains out into a Presonus audio box, into Presonus Studio Pro, and it sounded great, but i did the available update, and now I want to try using the USB straight into my laptop. I couldn't find a tutorial on this, how do i get started?
  8. I use my POD HD500X for recording guitar However, the quality of what i get doesn't seem the best: it sounds always too distorted/gainy compared to what I hear when I play on my amp (Line 6 Spider IV 15). I really don't know if it is really just too distorted or is it because the built in audio interface quality that it's just not very good I use a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro, connected (with jack cable) to the POD, and the directly via USB to my laptop. I use Audacity and Audition for Recording (I have ASIO installed too) Don't know why it doesn't sound good... please help, thanks in advance!
  9. I am using Pod HD500x and Audio Technica M50x headphones. If I connect my headphones directly to the Pod HD 500, the sound I get is amazing. However, when I use the Pod for recording with USB and listen to the sound of he monitor of DAW with PodHd500X being the output, it is not that great and the quality drops a lot. How can I get the sound of Pod HD 500 (the one I get directly from headphones) into my recording? I can't seem to prevent the quality from dropping.
  10. Hey, everyone. I have had this PodXT Live for several years, through 3 different PCs, and it's been fantastic! I haven't used it or connected it to my PC for the last few weeks. I hooked it up yesterday, but the computer doesn't see it at all! This is Windows 8.1, and I've used it on this machine for the last 1.5 years or so without issue. Tried it on 2 other PCs: one is Windows XP, which I had previously used with it, has Gearbox, Monkey, drivers etc. installed - didn't work. Also another Windows 8.1 machine - my work machine, which is pretty beefy, and had never had the POD connected to it. On this machine, I installed the Monkey from scratch, downloaded drivers, etc. - brand new install - no good. I've swapped out the USB cable, too. In all cases, I updated the Monkey, downloaded the drivers, etc. (done this many times, I'm pretty good at it). Every time I get to where the driver install program says "plug in your POD now," I plug it in, and nothing happens. Zip, zilch, nada. No reaction from the PC, like I never plugged it in at all. It's looking like the USB port on the POD failed, but I don't even want to think about that! Anyone else ever see this? I was thinking I would try to manually uninstall the USB driver on my main PC (that I use it regularly with) but I can't find any instructions anywhere. Or, did I accidentally disable the USB port - is that even possible? Thoughts, anyone? -Dan
  11. Here is how to update the Firehawk FX step by step: For Windows 7, 8, or 10 systems, please start with step 1. For OSX 10.8 and up, skip to step 8. 1. In order for your computer to see the Firehawk you will need to install the driver for the device to your computer. open a web browser and navigate to line6.com/software and select Product: Firehawk FX Software: Drivers from the drop down menus at the top of the page. 2. Pick the top selection from the next page by selecting "Get Download". 3. Accept the terms. 4. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Pressing Control + J will bring up the downloads menu in most windows browsers, alt + command + L for Safari on Mac. 5.Disconnect your Firehawk from the computer if it's connected via USB and run the installer. 6. In the installer make sure the drivers from the Firehawk have a green check. Click next until the installer completes. 7. Reconnect Hardware when prompted and let Windows assign the driver. Now your computer will be able to communicate properly with the Firehawk. Make sure the Firehawk is turned on attempting when this. 8. Now, lets download the updater utility. Open your web browser, navigate back to line6.com/software and select Line 6 Updater under the software drop down menu. 9. Select get download under the top selection: 10. Accept the agreement. 11. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Wait for the progress bar to complete. 21. Updater will let you know when the update is complete.
  12. Hi folks, So, I just picked up a used Studio GX a few days back and love it so far but have a question. When setting it up I was plugging it's USB cable into one of the USB ports on the back of my computer and the computer suddenly shut down! I unplugged it turned the computer back on and tried twice more and the same thing happened BOTH times, then I turned it back on and plugged the GX's USB cable into one of the two front USB ports on my machine, works great with NO perceivable Latency so I'm ok with using it on the front BUT what could be the problem with plugging into the back port? ANY ideas, any at all?
  13. Just wanted to report in as a new AmplifiTT user. I'm actually quite happy with the device thus far, but one big issue I'm having is with nonexistent USB connectivity, as I plan to to do extensive recording. Not a single driver set has worked, even with the new Line 6 Amplifi PC-based utility. I simply receive the "USB Device Not Recognized" after connecting the device following a driver installation, and the Line 6 software shows a "No Amplifi Devices were detected." message This is a brand-new USB cable. The most current software driver on the Line 6 site simply do not work. Here is a listing of my platform: Win7 Ultimate 64-bit, latest updates installed consistently 16GB RAM 2600K @4.35GHz 256 GB SSD, 5TB spindle storage Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard with most recent BIOS update. Attempting to connect to a known-good USB port simply never works. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Is this a known issue with AmplifiTT? Is an update coming that might possibly address this? Thank you! Rich Grace
  14. I went to our local store for repair of my broken USB port. they changed it with new one. when i got home, any computer in the house cannot recognize the device. i've been searching the net but still no solution for this. help? note: i tried my friend's hd500 and it worked just fine.
  15. Hi everyone I've been looking for a comprehensive answer to this all over the Internet and somehow just cannot find a guide that would explain things from start to finish. The question is: What do you do to achieve good sound when you connect a Line 6 POD HD (500, in my case) to a PC, using USB? I've connected mine, installed Line 6 Monkey, made sure all software is up-to-date, set Studio/Direct output mode on the POD, set the POD as a soundcard (both for output and recording), but the sound is far from one would expect. Here's a sample: http://www.filedropper.com/line6directusbsample I'm not an expert in recording or sound engineering - probably like most people who buy a POD and would like to have decent sound when hooking it up to a PC.
  16. I need to utilize the iPad app, I tried recording to a USB but ran out of space after recording the inputs and main mix for about 1:45 hours. It was a 16gb card What is the biggest we card that the mixer will take? I currently use the usb to connect to a wired network through an apple lan adapter and it works great Is it possible to hook up a wifi USB adapter and a usb hard drive to record to or is a large sd card the only option with wifi?
  17. Just as the title says, I'm running into this problem. When I connect my x3 Live via usb, my pc prompts that it doesn't recognize the x3. I've downloaded the latest Line6 Monkey.
  18. My guitar sounds fine going into Ableton live 9 via USB. However on playback it is distorted. I can see where the signal seems to be blowing it out, but no matter what i try it seems to do it. I turn my send down, i have the pod set to studio mode, i turn the volume down on the pod itself via the volume nob and no good. Ideas? This is driving me nuts.
  19. Hello, I want to purchase new long usb cable for connecting my UX2 to my computer. I found on internet a Cable Usb Male A Male B but it's written that the B plug isn't compatible with 2.0 USB because it's a 3.0 USB cable. So no problem with the A plug because my PC is compatible USB 3.0, but I wonder if the UX2 is also compatible USB 3.0. Moreover I have the same question with my controller M-AUDIO Keystation 69 es if anyone ever used it... Did anyone have the answer ? PS : I'm french, sorry for my english, I do my best !
  20. Hello everyone I purchased a line 6 pod hd pro about a week ago and I love the tones you can get out of it the only problem is that when it's connected to my computer via usb it gives me this really annoying noise every 3 minutes or so. I attached a file of the clean tone so you can hear how it sounds. Did anyone have this problem, or does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Cheers! line6problem.mp3
  21. Q: If the AMPLIFi product works as a sound card through USB, what would be the way for connecting a pair of studio monitors to do the mixing with? How does the IO on AMPLIFi with USB recording enabled work? Is it a 2-in/2-out? If so, does AMPLIFi act as the 2-out monitor? A: The AMPLIFi amp becomes your sound card when using USB to record, so while you're recording using an amp, it's easiest to monitor computer playback through the amp – it really does sound great. You could always use the headphone outs to get a direct signal into studio monitors via a mixing board or other solution, but the intent is to use the amp for monitoring – at lease while you are recording. Once you are done recording, you can can mix using whatever setup you like. For AMPLIFi TT or AMPLIFi FX100, you would just connect monitors to the main outs on the units. Q: What bit depth and sampling rate can you use when recording with the AMPLIFi series? A: The AMPLIFi series can record in 24bit with sampling rates from 44.1k up to 96k on Windows and in 24bit with sampling rates of only 48k on MAC OSX. When using the AMPLIFi series for operating system audio you can adjust these within Control Panel on Windows and System Preferences on MAC OSX. When using the AMPLIFi series within a DAW, you can adjust these within the Audio Preferences/Options of the DAW. Q: What operating systems are the AMPLIFi series USB audio drivers compatible with? A: Our Windows ASIO USB audio driver is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8 and can be downloaded from our software HERE. The AMPLIFi series is CoreAudio compatible on MAC OSX 10.7 and above, therefore does not require the installation of any additional drivers.
  22. Hello, Trying to connect via USB my new AMPLIFI TT to my Computer (Dell XPS, Windows XP). The USB drivers are not found, my system searches for CtrlPipe and MsgPipe. Any clue where I can find these and how to install them? Thanks! -Patrick
  23. Hello World! I recently upgraded from a Spider IV 75 to a used Vetta II. I only play to entertain myself at home, which is why I didn't throw down the money for a Fractal AXE-FX. All is well except a couple of bugs that I was hoping you could help sort out. I'm assuming certain things are user error. 1. I was flipping through the factory presets, I'd find an interesting preset, attempt to turn off the effects one by one and the amp would either revert back to original settings or the effect wouldn't turn off at all. In the long run this isn't too important as I'll end up just setting up my own tones. I was just worried that this was indicative of some sort of issue. 2. When I turn on the amp with the FBV Shortboard plugged in, the volume pedal always seems to need resetting (just backed off to zero and back up). 3. When researching to connect to the Line6 Monkey software, I've seen that m-audio uno is the only way to go. However, there's no drivers available for Windows 8.1. Has anyone had any success on this front? Thanks for any input.
  24. Hey all, first poster here, I'm part of the Strat- Talk community but now I need your help!!! A friend of mine bought her son a POD XT some years back along with a Classic Vibe Strat having seen some reviews on Strat-Talk and various websites about. She'd seen a lot of praise on both and went for it, he was 13 at the time but left everything to rot for a few years. She gave me the POD XT a week ago, great product. I've been using it through my fender amp but I now want to use it as an interface but after downloading Line 6 Monkey and getting the drivers through Monkey it still shows up as Not Connected and No drivers installed. I'm going through Mac OS 10.6.8 No matter what I do I cant get the thing to show up in monkey or my laptop. What should I do, I have no problem resetting the software on my POD. Any insight is much appreciated. FYI she lost the original box and installation discs. Thanks guys Strat-O-Holic
  25. The HW/SW details: PowerMac G5 1.8 GHz DP/4GB RAM Mac OS X 10.5.8 PodXT Live info screen displays: v 3.01 / USB v1.12 / ESN 01278564 Line 6 Edit v 3.0.1 Line 6 Monkey v 1.32 Brand new USB cable, tested, known to work with Printer & Scanner. All USB ports work fine with every device I’ve tested. I purchased my Pod XT Live used, several months ago. I’ve tested it with guitar amps and headphones, and it seems to function properly. It’s in perfect condition, save for a few small paint scuffs on the corners and edges of the housing. The retirement age gent I bought it from said he’s never had it out of the house, and I believe him. There’s not even any visible wear on the footswitches or the CC pedal. Unit seems virtually new. After connecting the Pod XT Live to my PowerMac and launching Line 6 Edit, the software does not recognize that the Pod is connected, telling me it is “offline.†Nothing I do in Configuration seems to get them to handshake. I’ve connected directly to the front and back USB ports on my G5. I’ve disconnected all devices except for my mouse and keyboard (which are both wired) Help files in Line 6 Edit suggest that I run Line 6 Monkey to make sure I’m fully up-to-date, but even when I apply the same username and password which allows me access to the Line 6 website and this Forum, a floating alert window appears telling me that: My rebuttals to the Alert message: • I am ALWAYS connected to the internet with a robust, fast cable connection. • I have no system-wide popup blockers, or malware utilities running. • Just for good measure, I disabled popup blockers & AdBlock Plus in my browsers • (not addressed except on the License Manager FAQ page...No anonymizing apps in use) I perused the Line 6 forums & support pages and followed suggestions to download the Line 6 License Manager; after some trial and error I discovered that v 1.0.4 is the most current which will install on PPC architecture. It was only after I installed it and logged in (this time with success, I got no alerts about a failure to connect to the internet) that a message was displayed in the License Manager app that told me: Sooo...what installation or troubleshooting procedure am I missing here? BTW...the following message on the following page http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/usb-compatibility-with-line-6-devices-r342 is a HUGE engineering FAIL: ------------------------------------------ If you have tried all available USB ports on your computer and have either no device recognition or poor audio quality (clicks-pops), you will want to consider purchasing a PCI USB 2.0 card to connect your Line 6 USB audio interface. ------------------------------------------ Thanks in advance for pointing me toward any solutions...I champing at the bit to drive this thing around in Apple’s Logic!
