  1. I’ve used my iPhone as an audio input into the USB port of my HX stomp to play along with backing tracks and songs. Since I updated to 3.0 (now 3.01) the iPhone won’t play sound through the USB into the Stomp, but instead keeps playing through its built-in speakers. The USB on the Stomp works, I can play audio from my laptop, just not from an iPhone or iPad. Any clues as to what might be going on?
  2. If I use the amplify via USB to record on my iMac, it will be clean or will I need to create a bank without cabinet, amp and effects? Thank you
  3. Anyone else have problems receiving MIDI messages into the USB input from other MIDI over USB pedals? I'm using a DA Electronics iCtrl-R Mini and with the Helix floor, HX Stomp, and PodGO using USB connections, I get nada. All settings for Trasnmitting/receiving MIDI over USB are correct. Any hints/Thoughts? http://www.daelectronics.com/
  4. Hi folks, I'm trying to plug my TC Harmonics G-TX pedal into my HX stomp. For those who don't know this pedal, it's a pedal meant to be used with a microphone, and which enhance your voice by adding 1 or 2 additional voices at different pitches. For this purpose, I removed every FX block from the chain of my preset to have the more neutral sound (as I discovered that enabling true bypass also disables USB output !) and while the sound is OK from the headphones (which are plugged in the HX stomp), it's awful once in GarageBand (basically, the harmony voices become like a weird cher-like auto-tune effect) I tried to play with the output settings (typically I tried to set "Line" instead of "Inst" everywhere I can) but same results : it's ok in head phones, not ok in the USB output result. Although the HX Stomp is meant to be used with a guitar/bass, I assume that as an audio interface it should be able to manage anything ? Any hint ? Thanks !
  5. Hello, how are you? I would like to know what I can do, I updated HX UPDATE AND HX EDIT, but I did not disconnect my HX STOMP and now my pc does not recognize it, it is not detected by windows or mac: '( What I can do ????
  6. No more. Just no more. I f*cking tired of this. Brand New laptop with win 10= blue screen of death. I tried literally everything, Just everything. And it goes to bsod again and again. Really? When i bought it i thought it's a dream machine. Now i see, that it is a piece of garbage. Dear line 6 support, i hope when you die, and you want to go to the heaven, you ll see bsod every f*cking time, when you try to do so. And i hope your company will vanish into dust for such sh*tty customer service. I'll switch to another interface, because i want to make music, not lollipop with settings, drivers, and all sh*t! Best community, f*cked corporation.
  7. Has the below issue been resolved with the Helix? Mine keeps disconnecting via usb on multiple computers. It's not noted in the known issues section of the latest update In rare cases, Helix/HX devices can become disconnected from HX Edit. If possible, always connect your Helix/HX device directly to the USB port closest to your computer’s power connector. Never use any sort of USB hub, which may include the front USB ports on the front of towers. I did do the usual troubleshooting, factory reset, etc.
  8. I'd like to know if there's someway to connect my helix lt to my pc wirelessly? The usb cable is becoming a pain to deal with....I was wondering if there were any hardware solutions to extend usb wirelessly? Cheers
  9. For some weird reason the audio from my Helix LT USB records as midi. I have tried Reaper, GarageBand, and Audacity. All of them record the guitar as a midi file, and playback is just individual tones. I have confirmed that I am using the USB out connection and cable. I have confirmed my track output is USB. I have confirmed that I am using the correct input/output for each DAW. I have searched all over and can't find out what setting I have wrong. Can anyone help me out? I'm currently running: 2018 Macbook pro with Helix LT (updated to 2.92) connected via USB.
  10. After Windows 10 update my DAW no longer recognised Helix and there was a huge latency on USB 1/2. After unsuccessfully trying to solve by re-installing Helix Firmware I found a (non-helix-related) post on the web suggesting to uninstall USB host controllers. I did this on all USB Root Hubs and root Hubs (3) and it worked - however if you need to do this you will have to manually reboot your PC as your mouse/keyboard wont work until you reboot and USBs are re-installed.
  11. Hello, im new to the hx stomp and recording guitar in digital world. My signal chain from guitar to my headphones/speakers is Guitar -> hx stomp L/mono output -> line 6 GX interface -> pc -> Mixer app in pc (Voicemeeter) -> headphones and speakers. (hx stomp output is set to "LINE") It sounds very similar when i plug it into a PA system and listening through headphones output. Now I am trying to use the USB asio output, but it sounds harsh and thin. Then i try to use the L/mono output but this time setting the output to "INST", it sounds the same to what i hear via usb. Is it possible to make usb output sounds like "LINE" output on L/mono? Or am i wrong in setting up asio? I appreciate to you if u spend your time to read this. *i use voicemeeter because GX interface has only one output port and i want to output signal to many channels inside pc.
  12. Hi, I just recently move to PC from Mac, and when I tried connecting my HX stomp to the PC it created this static noise that I have attached. It doesn't matter where I plug the usb cable, front and back panel or USB hub, the result is the same. This problem doesn't happen when I connected it to my Macbook so I guess that maybe I connected something wrong inside the computer or some electrical problem. If anyone can Identify the source of the problem that would be very appreciated, thank you. HX USB NOISE.mp3
  13. I am using the Amplifi 75 and want to record with using a usb cable from the back of the amp directly into the pc. All drivers are updated. It works smoothly, except for one big issue. If I try to record something, the recording gets some sort of crackling sounds that come sporadically. I first thought this was due to a poor connection with the cable but I've changed it out with a new one. There are no problems when outputting sounds, but only recording. Is there any fix for this?example.mp3 I've attached an example of the problem, recorded through Audacity. Listen to the sound that comes after 4 seconds and around 15 seconds.
  14. I recently picked up a Variax 300 & was wondering if I could edit/update workbench by plugging my guitar into my hd500 pedal via ethercon cable & then plugging the hd500 into my Mac via usb cable? Or will I need to buy the vdi interface to be able to access workbench? Variax 300 - Pod HD500 Macbook Pro (2010) osx 10.11.6
  15. USB connectivity is a common issue with a failed update process: Make sure to check all cable connections, and USB ports for proper connectivity. The Pod Go should be connected directly to the laptop or computer with USB 2.0. No hubs or secondary connections. If it's a desktop computer (standing tower), then you may need to connect to the back of the computer near the power source. Proper USB 2.0 ports will provide enough USB bus power for your POD update. For Windows PC users: with all newer updates, it's always helpful to install the latest Pod Go Edit software FIRST, before you continue. This will include the latest Pod Go drivers for proper USB connectivity. Download here: https://line6.com/software/ 1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the POD Go to the computer. 2. Boot the unit into "Update Mode" Press and hold PAGE > (page right) and then power on POD Go 3. Reconnect the POD Go to the computer, preferably trying a different USB port than before. 4. Launch Line 6 Updater. 5. If POD Go connects, it will appear in DFU Update Mode and you will have to select POD Go from the list. 6. If the unit does not connect, close Line 6 Updater, connect to a different USB port on the computer, preferably with a different USB cable as well, and relaunch Line 6 Updater. 7. If the unit then connects, reinstall the firmware. 8. If the unit does still not connect, there may be a configuration issue with the computer. Please try a different computer. Another common solution: If you're having trouble installing the latest update in Line 6 Updater, you may want to revert back to the previous update version. Install firmware 1.40, and then once the Pod Go is booted up again - install Pod Go 2.01 firmware with Line 6 Updater.
  16. Dear reader, I've bought the Helix LT a couple of days ago. After trying it for some hours I wanted to go into the Helix edit to try and make some custom tones and update the helix as it is on version 2.30. Unfortunately every time I plug in the Helix and turn it on my PC crashed with a BSOD saying "system service exception" It's an up to date windows 10 PC with all the latest drivers and everything. Hope you guys can help me out with this one. Kind Regards, Wxam
  17. Hi all, Today I find that I can no longer connect X3 live and kb37 with my Windows 10 PC. The latest Monkey software won't connect to either device. All my other USB musical devices are working perfectly fine with any cable. Windows 10(64 bit) does see my line6 gear but reports driver error..I have installed the latest drivers for both. The x3 was working perfectly fine with the PC a few weeks back..same with the kb37 a few months ago. Wondering if anyone else having this sort of issue. Thanks, TC
  18. Hi all Longtime lurker, first time poster. I've had a Variax 600 for years and have finally got around to getting a USB interface for it (one of the newer ones) and cable in order to use Workbench. Now I've read many posts about this (big thank you for that!) so made sure I downloaded the standard Workbench designed for an older Windows (I run Windows 10), get the 32bit Java, Line 6 Monkey etc but it doesn't recognise the guitar when plugged in with the CAT cable. I've got 2 green lights on the interface, it seems like all the drivers are up to date but I go into Workbench and I just get the message 'no device detected' even though it can detect the USB interface? Any ideas? anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks Nick
  19. Hi there, I'm trying to record my guitar using my macbook, audacity, and of course my HX Stomp. I read that no driver is required on Mac if I'm using 48Khz sample rate, so I simply plugged the stomp into the macbook and, indeed, it is detected by the system. But so far, I have not been able to get any sound from the usb audio interface. I set the HX stomp as recording device from the Audio MIDI Setup application, but I can't set master volume nor channels volume Yet, I tried to selected the proper interface and channel (1) in Audacity and expected a miracle : But of course I have a flat line. So is there something I missed (the audio output knob on the stomp is set at max) Many thanks !
  20. Hi I'm running Cubase Elements and cannot for the life of me make Cubase Elements recognise my mic. I have never used music software before, so i'm an absolute beginner - any step by step set up instructions anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated please! It's the same with my headphones too, I can't seem to hear playback. I'm sure it's a simple channel issue but after days of trying I still can't figure it out. I have the ASIO driver installed. I have attached screenshots of my current settings. Thank you in advance!
  21. So I've been testing recording a project with the Helix asio driver in Cubase elements with Helix connected via usb. When I shut off the helix when I was done, I couldn't hear what I had recorded anymore, Cubase said the audio hardware had been uninstalled and it gave me a choice of using a different asio driver (steinberg, which I normally use). I had Installed the Helix editor, which I understood to have installed the asio driver to my pc. Is this correct behavior? Does the helix need to be turned on and plugged in to the pc to be able to use the helix asio driver? Thanks for any replies...
  22. Do you or someone you know successfully use the Korg NanoKontrol2 with the HX Stomp over USB? If so, what is the hookup and user experience like? I have scoured the internet and not found anything specifically about this. Please share information about cables and, if needed, intermediate hardware that has been used to get the two devices working together. I am interested in a fairly direct USB cabled connection between the two with few or no additional power supplies. I am not interested in anything having to do with DAWs or computers or software, except the Windows software that Korg provides for configuring NanoKontrol2. (Please do not reply anything like "No", "I don't know, but you could try ...", "I've done something similar, but not with the products you mentioned", or something hardly related, as those type of responses do not help.) Thanks!
  23. Scenario: I have my Focusrite audio interface setup as my In/Out device Audio settings. I have my HX Stomp connected to the Mac via USB. I do not want to use the Stomp as an audio interface. So, I turn on the Focusrite, launch Logic, all is good. The Focusrite shows up under Audio device as my in/out. However, when I turn on the Stomp, Logic “grabs” it and makes it my Audio device. I can’t find a way to stop logic from recognizing the Stomp as the Audio device. I would like to use HX Edit with the Stomp, but not have it be my audio device. Current work around is to unplug the USB cable and only plug it in when I need it. But it just seems that there must be a way to stop Logic from using it as an Audio device but still allow HX Edit to be usable with the Stomp. many help would be greatly appreciated. Mac using Catalina and current Logic Pro. Stomp is current firmware.
  24. Hi All: Question from someone just starting out: Trying to record from Helix into Reaper. Input volume is causing monster clipping/distortion (not in a good way!) Helix records perfectly into Audacity. Any suggestions as to how to fix this? Thanks in advance. Buddy
  25. Hello there, I`ve had my share of Line6 products in the past (Pod 2.0 / X3Live / HD500) and I have also been away from this brand for a couple years now. I remember that I lost my patience with the usb issues on the X3 + Hd500, however, Helix has caught my attention a while ago. I was wondering if there is any known usb malfunction on the Healix Lt? I noticed that a couple people (not as many as when I had the x3 thats for sure) referred usb issues on a few forums (usb being disconnected from the computer + noise when having the usb cable on). I want to get one so bad, but at the same time...I am so afraid of going back to the same headache as in the past... Don't take it wrong but...should I stay away? Thanks, RR
