  1. Hello! I have a UX2 bundled with Pod Farm2 and I purchased all the Packs (which I love and used all these years!) but I want to try the Helix Native deal, Question#1: if I pay for the upgrade to Helix Native option, will I still be able to use Pod Farm2 whenever I want? Also, Question#2: I have changed computers through the years and the ux2/pod farm license only allows me one or 2 more computer ID changes, to avoid this situation and keep my pod farm and purchased packs what should I do, buy the actual, full pod farm2 in Line6 website and re-install it? Will I still have a limit on switching computers? If I do buy a full grade pod farm2 will I be able to use the packs that I previously purchased? (same account). Thanks in advance for your kind answers.
  2. I have my microphone and guitar setup and outputting sound through my ux2 and I want to be able to listen to the audio from pod farm while also being able to hear my computer, I'm using a 3.5 to 1/4 adapter through the phones input but I can only hear audio from the ux2 and not anything else on my computer. If possible I really only want to hear my guitar and sounds from my computer such as youtube and not my microphone at the same time but if not that is alright.
  3. hi, I updated drivers of Line6 UX2 and everything seems to work fine but whenever I hit the play button or try to record something I hear a tiny continuos 'beeeeeeep' on my phones that only stops if I close the application (i.e. garageband, youtube, spotify). I don't know if I need to change my phones or if the phones output is dirty and need some cleaning, and if it does... how do I clean it up?, I need that 'beeeeep' to stop for the sake of my mixes and any audio reproduction of any kind and any application in my computer that uses UX2 as 'default' audio output. Can someone help me with these please?, maybe a Line6 expert or someone that went through something similar and solved it?. thanks!!
  4. So ive had my ux2 for almost 8 months now, and im using the electrovoice microphone, i have my settings perfectly set up for a good casting voice when i stream on twitch, about a week ago one of my friends said i sound super different and didnt know what he meant, but as soon as today i was watching his stream i heard my self talk and i sounded suuuuuper deep, i was confused onto what it could be and tried everything to fix it, and cant. I changed my mic to my webcam and it sounded perfect, but for some reason its the ux2 making it sound like this, all my settings are the same, i have not changed anything. even tried changing my microphone to a shure sm7b and still sounds the same.
  5. I currently own a DT25 combo and a Pod HD500X which I have connected via the Line6 Link cable. I am thinking of recording some music but the Dt25 is way too loud for my bedroom therefore I cannot mic it in high volume. Of course, if I do not crank it up, I would not get the sound I would want. The LVM is not enough for quality sound since it eliminates the power amp section of the amp. I was thinking of investing on an audio interface like the UX2 to record my music. My plan is to connect my amp to the audio interface through the Direct Out of the amp. If I follow this approach, I could disconnect the amp's connection with its cabinet so I wouldn't get any sound from the amp itself but I would get my sound from the monitors connected to the UX2. So if I have the amp's master volume amp cranked all the way up, I could adjust the volume from on my UX2 according to how I want but my recordings should sound as if it's coming from a cranked tube amp. Essentially, I would like to get the sound of a cranked tube amp sound in my recordings without disturbing my neighbors. Do you think this is a viable approach?
  6. Was unable to activate certain tone things that i can usually use so i went into preferences and enabled the ux2 in hardware and in midi and now i get no input and nothing after a pc restart. how do i fix this?
  7. So i ended up getting a UX2 POD studio for christmas, i just recently started trying to get it started up, due to my computer being on the fritz, sort of got it working and functioning without any problems so i think its safe (my computer) So back to the topic, i cannot get this to work for the life of me, and i haven't had the best expierence with line 6 products in the past. I've been scouting around trying to see what the problem is and what the solution will hopefully be. The driver won't install. line 6 monkey? won't dectect it or allow me to download/update the drivers. The liscense manager isn't detecting anything either. This was a NEW product unopened when i recieved it with the 2 discs. I registered it and need some serious advice on what to do with this. thanks for reading.
  8. I am trying to get my line 6 monkey to install the driver updates, but they aren't working. they download but the launch window for installing them always fails to pop up and then it sends me to their website for a launcher, but I cant find it. (sorry if this makes little sense, im not used to this kind of stuff for my gear) what can I do to get my drivers up to date for my gear??
  9. I have set up my new Pod Studio UX2 and folowed the instructions, but each time I open POD Farm I get the following message: No Pod Farm 2 License Found - Pod Farm 2 is not authorized. Pod Farm will run in trial mode... I have set up the Licence Manager and Line Monkey shows that everything is upto date, i have registered the product, it shows as active but still each time I restart the program, it gives same message...? Does anybody know why this is happening, or if there is any fixes? Im on PC, Windows 8.1. Any Help, Thanks PS. I have attached the diagnostic log from the licence manager L6LM-12-26-2013.txt
  10. Hi there! About 5 years ago I purchased the UX2 audio interface along with PodFarm 2.5 with the metal shop pack. It has been a great experience but then I saw that there is a possibility to buy Helix Native. From what I understand, it's pretty much a modern & way more clear sounding PodFarm that's built in the Helix products. I have been thinking to upgrade to Helix Native but I am not sure whether it's going to work well (if at all) on the UX2 given that it's a pretty old device. Helix products cost a lot more than the UX2 and it seems like there should be a catch if I try to use it this way. If it's possible to run Helix Native using a UX properly, how different would it be than to use a Helix rack? I assume that the output quality is different, but other than that, will it affect the recording quality as well? If I record something with Helix Native using a Helix rack and then record the same thing using a UX2 with Helix Native, how different will the final product sound? I would like to know the limitations and differences, if any of you can point them out. Maybe I should just buy a Helix rack or multi-effect instead of a software upgrade alone. Also, is it a stand alone software like PodFarm 2.5 or is it just an addition to the DAW? Thanks a lot! PS: I know that I can demo it for free for 2 weeks before buying but I also didn't want to start the demo only to find out that it doesn't work at all on the UX2.
  11. Hi, I've had the UX2 for a while and really like it. I've used it to stream and record guitar for some time, though always used a USB mic for commentary. I wanted to upgrade so have bought an XLR mic that I wish to use through the UX2 interface. However, I can have my streaming software (OBS) record the UX2 so that it captures both the guitar and mic, so that's no issue. The issue is that I cannot monitor just the guitar, while streaming/recording the mic audio. Is there a way to just mintor guitar, while capturing the mic audio also? Thanks
  12. Trying to help my son record some music during this lockdown. Dusted off my UX2 and hooking it up to his macbook air. So many issues. Finally got drivers installed, switched audio input in settings to UX2... switched audio input in garageband to ux2. But I can't get keyboard sounds to record. Using quarter-inch cable out of keyboard into UX2. Then USB into mac. I've tried multiple 1/4" cables, so that's not the issue. I know USB works because garageband knows the UX2 is plugged in. I created a "real instrument" track-- but whether I plug audio cable into instrument port, or into line inputs 1 or 2, no matter how loudly I pound on the keyboard, the meters on the UX2 don't budge, and there's no audio recorded on garageband. Coming out of keyboard's line output. Have also tried headphone output. Neither work. Any suggestions?
  13. So I went to play on my toneport for the first time in like forever. Had it installed on a previous computer and it worked fine, now, no matter what usb port I plug it in, I constantly get the red flashing clip lights, sometimes the volume panels will be lit up but the lights are still flashing and the device is acting like it cant connect. I've downloaded the most recent drivers from Monkey, but after I install them and go back to Monkey it says the drivers are not installed. I've searched all over for people who have had similar problems but they, like myself, can't seem to find any answers anywhere. Help, anyone?
  14. Hi, I am plugging my mic (a TASCAM TM-80) into my Tone Port UX2 but it's not picking it up. Any troubleshooting tips welcome.
  15. So I recently bought a ux2 that came with pod farm 2.5! I bought this just for my microphone because my old mic sucked. Well I have no clue how to use it to get a good sound. I change some settings and my mic just starts to become a echo and robotic voice! I was wondering if anyone know the perfect settings to get a perfect voice/sound from this program and if so what settings do you use? Thanks ~Garrett12243 (BTW My microphone is an Audio Technica at 2035)
  16. I'm driving myself nuts here. I'm recording voiceovers. I have a physical hardware setup which is great (big and heavy), but I'm trying to integrate everything into my HP Spectre Tablet and UX2 so if I have to take it on the road, no problem! So standalone Podfarm is great, I can throw a noise gate and compressor on there and when I speak, it comes back through the headphones on the UX2 (wet) with zero latency, and sounds great. But attempting to record it inside the computer has been a nightmare. I've had to check out new daws and learn how to load Podfarm as a plugin, and it always has too much latency. I've tried Reaper and adjusting the settings to be the lowest latency. It's still too slow and sounds horrible in the headphones to the point where I can't tell the quality of the recording. It seems the only practical and reliable way of recording my vocals will be to just use a headphone splitter and record into an audio recorder like a Sony PCM-d50/ ZoomH1n. This seems like a shame since there should be a way to capture the sound that's inside the computer, but it always seems to conflict with the soundcard to record "what you hear" using audacity. It introduces clicks and static. I've heard of a technique where you can have a track in Reaper that's a "monitor" track and the record track is muted. But, this doesn't help because even when just monitoring the input when Reaper is running, it has the latency issue. I really really wish podfarm had a simple record button in it's standalone iteration. Has anyone had latency issues when recording vocals or figured this out? Thanks
  17. My Set Up: I use the ux2 and pod farm to pick up my mic (audio technica at2035) for talking with my friends or whatever else I would need a microphone for. I run it through pod farm so it has a much cleaner sound. When I updated to windows 10 I uninstalled all of my line 6/ pod farm stuff and recently upgraded to the windows 10 version. All drivers are up to date. I have my mic plugged into the first input with the phantom power on. My headset is not connected through my UX2 as I don't need to hear what I sound like. The dials on the UX2 do move when I talk into the mic. Issue: It seems my mic is being picked up in Pod Farm as I can see the audio indicators at the top moving and registering audio. However, inside my sounds and recording devices, there is absolutely no indication that my mic is registering. How do I get my computer to pick up my mic?
  18. I've got a dual boot machine, with 2 installs of W10 on separate drives, on the new install on my second drive, when Hyper-V is activated in the windows feature, the system will not detect the UX2 device. The strange thing is hyper-V is activated in the other install and the UX2 works just fine, does anyone know what setting could be different between the two systems that allows it to work on one system, but not the other?
  19. Once I updated my Macbook Pro late 2013 to MacOS Sierra 10.12 the UX2 usb audio interface crashes the computer. Everytime I plug in the ux2 interface, the computer immediately restarts and gives the error message (white text on black background). I have tried both of my Mac's usb slots, tried taking everything off of the interface (monitors etc.) and tried it with and without power cable on my computer. Also, when I try to start my computer while the UX2 is plugged in, the Mac's starting screen has some white error messages and then the computer restarts. Nothing helps. So atm I CAN'T USE THE INTERFACE AT ALL. Pod Farm software doesn't seem to have any problems. Please tell me if you've had these problems or you can help.
  20. I have been battling with this thing for two days. I’ve been trying to get support by calling the support lines but absolutely nobody has picked up. I’m really frustrated because I just want to record something with good quality. So here’s the problem. I plugged in my pod studio ux2, followed the instructions to download podfarm, but it didn’t recognize the interface that I plugged in. Plus, when I plug in my interface, it does nothing. It doesn’t turn on, it doesn’t do anything. PLUS, when I went into the license monkey and tried to update everything, but it failed to update and sent me to a website where it claimed that it would have all of the updates available so that I could download it manually, but NOTHING WAS THERE. I’m fairly new to this sort of thing and I don’t know what I’m doing so this is extremely frustrating. AAAAAH HELP PLEASE.
  21. The issue is random blue screens after using the UX2 for a while. The error is BAD POOL CALLER (or maybe BAD POOL HEADER). This doesn't stay on screen long enough to get all the info. (my past experience is this is usually memory corruption of some kind...but not exclusively) I have a UX2, driver version 4.2.7.6 and firmware 1.02, running on Win10, with goshknowswhat updates Microsoft has pushed down recently (two forced reboots this week for updates). Regardless, it's all up to date as far as can be updated at the moment. Also running POD Farm 2, version 2.59. I use Reaper for recording/mixing, and Adobe Audition 3.0 for all other audio needs. The BSOD is totally new and started within a day or so of installing and using the UX2. The setup is as-is for more than a year, except for the addition of the UX2. I also have a GuitarPort - many years old. It's never blue screened. The UX2 was bought as a replacement for the GuitarPort. Installing the UX2 seemed to pull down more up to date drivers (could be just timing as I hadn't tried to update the GuitarPort in a while) Except for updating the drivers and software, which are up to date, are there any suggestions to work around this? I'm assuming it's a driver issue, as any user level code (POD Farm) is mostly isolated from direct access to the kernel where the crashing is happening (that is what the driver is for afterall). (Yes, I know Microsoft is making it hell for audio driver developers with the constant updates, and Win10 in general. Many of us are not happy campers because of this.) Thanks!
  22. Is the FBV Longboard compatible with the UX2? The manual seems to be speaking of a simple on/off switch. But I got this Longboard and it would really be nice I could use it for something.
  23. I wanted to know if I can connect my ANALOG OUTS (Left/Right) of the UX2 to the IN of the compressor and the OUT of the compressor to the LINE IN (Left/Right) of UX2 at the back? Would this configuration work for using the compressor?
  24. To begin with, I'm aware that Hubs are not supported by Line 6 and the TonePort UX2, but I'm hoping someone with a bit more knowledge and experience than myself can make some suggestions to nail a particular incompatibility, or confirm the same problem with their own Surface Pro 2. So the Surface Pro 2 has a single USB3 port and pretty good overall performance. If I plug my UX2 directly in to this USB port, all works well. Very well! Windows 8.1 (full not RT), i5 2.5GHz 4 core, 8GB RAM, x64, 256GB SSD. When I introduce a bus powered USB hub, the device red lights and does not have enough power to fire up - as expected. With a powered USB hub (with nothing else connected), it fires up. I can connect to it fine through PodFarm, Monkey, License manager etc. However, any and all audio sounds like either there is a significant playback rate mis-match (slow, garbled and distorted), or a continually stuttering bus flow. So I've tried several different USB powered Hubs. I've also used a USB analyser (USBlyzer) and when comparing the state between direct connection and via hub, all is identical (connection speed, power usage etc.). Even the event log of playing a windows test sound in both scenarios issue the same commands and get the same close connection results. I also note that while TonePort via a powered hub is not supported, there are instances it works. So I am hopeful there is something further I can uncover here. Any help would be gratefully appreciated! TIA - Omar
  25. Just got the UX2 and wanted to know if I can download the HD Metal tone pack. Is it compatible?
