Hi, I have had my UX2 for about 2 weeks now, I am having an issue were It will just freeze (Including the dials). My microphone that is plugged into the UX2 stops working and I can hear nothing from my headphones (Except a buzzing sound every 1-2 secs) that are are plugged into the UX2. The way I am currently fixing this problem is by unplugging and re-plugging in my UX2 and relaunching pod farm and after a minute it is fixed, well for a little bit. This issue happens to me about 5 or so times a day and is very annoying. Could you please comment any questions you have that may help you solve this issue. Thanks, Michael

Sorry I having this minor annoying problem that slowly becoming a huge deal When changing the Driver Format in Pod Farm from 16 bit/44k Hz to 24 bit/48 Hz the driver will change automatically back to it default setting when accessing any problem related to the microphone example audacity, OBS maybe even sony vegas. Windows 8 is the cause to this problem. How do I know? People who are running the same setup but in windows 7 are able change the Driver Format and have no problems. The Damage I received from this I bought Windows 7 OEM CD and it crash my second computer and it won't work now (Also lost my files) When Streaming through OBS to Twitch the audio is static unless change through drivers format but when closing OBS or loading another problem during stream the microphone goes back to static Please people of Line 6 can you please take a look at this problem and fix it. [ I run a UX2 through Pod Farm 2.5.7 with the latest drivers]

I'm not able to get any sound when I'm playing from my computer speakers anymore. I have a UX2 hooked up directly to the computer via USB and the electric guitar plugged in to the normal instrument input. The meters are moving on the UX2 when I'm playing and the Digital Audio Interface under the recording tab on my sound settings for the UX2 shows sound being registered but nothing is being registered under the playback tab for the speakers. I haven't played in a while and had to update all the drivers cause POD Farm 2 says it wasn't authorized but the license manager said it was so after updating drivers and etc. the problem was fixed. After updating everything the problem with the sound came up, yet I've set up everything the way it was before. I've looked up a few solutions online like checking under the mixer tab on pod farm if it is set to instrument, making sure the knobs are turned up, switching USB ports, etc. I'm kinda all out of ideas on what could be the problem.

To begin with, I'm aware that Hubs are not supported by Line 6 and the TonePort UX2, but I'm hoping someone with a bit more knowledge and experience than myself can make some suggestions to nail a particular incompatibility, or confirm the same problem with their own Surface Pro 2. So the Surface Pro 2 has a single USB3 port and pretty good overall performance. If I plug my UX2 directly in to this USB port, all works well. Very well! Windows 8.1 (full not RT), i5 2.5GHz 4 core, 8GB RAM, x64, 256GB SSD. When I introduce a bus powered USB hub, the device red lights and does not have enough power to fire up - as expected. With a powered USB hub (with nothing else connected), it fires up. I can connect to it fine through PodFarm, Monkey, License manager etc. However, any and all audio sounds like either there is a significant playback rate mis-match (slow, garbled and distorted), or a continually stuttering bus flow. So I've tried several different USB powered Hubs. I've also used a USB analyser (USBlyzer) and when comparing the state between direct connection and via hub, all is identical (connection speed, power usage etc.). Even the event log of playing a windows test sound in both scenarios issue the same commands and get the same close connection results. I also note that while TonePort via a powered hub is not supported, there are instances it works. So I am hopeful there is something further I can uncover here. Any help would be gratefully appreciated! TIA - Omar

Hi all, First question posed to the Line 6 forums. Apologies if this topic has come up before but couldn't find it on here. I've recently bought a new iMac and wanted to install my Line 6 UX2. It was previously installed on my old computer (now dead). This iMac doesn't have a CD drive so I downloaded Pod Farm from the software section of this site. When it comes to installing said software and choosing where you want it to be installed it says that 'POD Farm can't be installed on this disk', despite this being a new machine and the HD having over 3TB of free space. And there is nowhere else you can select for the software to be installed. Has anybody encountered this before? And if so is there a solution? Many Thanks Mark

Hi, Ive been using my UX2 since 2010 with different versions of Logic. Since I've upgraded to Mavericks and Yosemite, I had several issues with the drivers which seemed to be solved in the meantime by Line6. But now woth Logic X I'm not able to record/play and monitor my guitar input at the same time. My setup: Retina iMac 2014 POD Studio UX2 drivers installed and configured as output and input device in OS X NO Gearbox installed NO PodStudio installed POD UX 2 configured as input and output device in Logic X Headphones go directly in the UX2 for listening and monitoring purposes I can hear my guitar when the track is set for record and the input monitoring is active My problem: I can't hear my guitar anymore when I hit the play button Does anyone know how to solve this? I'd be grateful for every hint. Best regards

Hello, yesterday i bought an footswitch for my line6 UX2 (Boss FS-5U) which works fine with gearbox, It was automatically detected as "stomp", but i can only use the presets for the stomp (Fuzz Pi, Facial Fuzz, Classic Distortion, Screamer, Sub Octaves and so on). But i want to use my own settings, because there are only 10 presets which are not the bests - is this possible?

I currently own a DT25 combo and a Pod HD500X which I have connected via the Line6 Link cable. I am thinking of recording some music but the Dt25 is way too loud for my bedroom therefore I cannot mic it in high volume. Of course, if I do not crank it up, I would not get the sound I would want. The LVM is not enough for quality sound since it eliminates the power amp section of the amp. I was thinking of investing on an audio interface like the UX2 to record my music. My plan is to connect my amp to the audio interface through the Direct Out of the amp. If I follow this approach, I could disconnect the amp's connection with its cabinet so I wouldn't get any sound from the amp itself but I would get my sound from the monitors connected to the UX2. So if I have the amp's master volume amp cranked all the way up, I could adjust the volume from on my UX2 according to how I want but my recordings should sound as if it's coming from a cranked tube amp. Essentially, I would like to get the sound of a cranked tube amp sound in my recordings without disturbing my neighbors. Do you think this is a viable approach?

I bought my UX2 one year ago and it worked fine. I've been recording voice and instrument tracks last year without problem. Today, after months without using my UX2, I wanted to record an instrument track, but when I pluged my guitar and selected the instrument input in POD Farm 2 nothing happened. The analog panel of the UX2 shows that it's not receiving input signal. I already checked the guitar and the cable on my amp and they work fine so the problem is from the UX2. I tried then with my mic and that input works fine, and my UX2 is receiving the feedback signal from my computer too. What can I do to make the instrument input work again?

Hey there. I tried searching around for a topic that might help me resolve the issues I seem to be having, but everything I have tried seems to be failing. Im using Reaper with my UX2.I have a Seinheisse E825 S running in with an XLR using either Gearbox or PodFarm I was trying to run the channel in dry,as I want it sound as natural as possible as I have it mic'd up to my HD147,but when I record, the volume seems to be incredibly low on playback. Can anyone tell me if I might be doing something worng? I also seem to get latency issues through my headphones when playing. Im completely stumped, but if any other info is needed to help me get up and running (I'm kinda new to this,so I could even be wrong with some of the terminology Im using) I can provide it,and I'd be grateful for any help

Hello everyone, I'm having trobule with S/PDIF on Line 6 UX -2. I'm using windows 7, and cubase 5 and motherboard is Gigabyte GA - MA770-UD3... I connected S/PDIF cable on motherboard and on the UX2. On sound manager I put to Default device (Playback) is "Realtek High Definition Audio" and so in Realtek HD Audio Manager. When I play some music on my PC, the 'vu metar' is showing me to something is playing on Realtek Digital Output, but I can't hear anything on my speakers, when I changed to the default device is "Line 6 UX 2" I can hear music on my speakers... So, can anyone help me about this? Thanks

So I went to play on my toneport for the first time in like forever. Had it installed on a previous computer and it worked fine, now, no matter what usb port I plug it in, I constantly get the red flashing clip lights, sometimes the volume panels will be lit up but the lights are still flashing and the device is acting like it cant connect. I've downloaded the most recent drivers from Monkey, but after I install them and go back to Monkey it says the drivers are not installed. I've searched all over for people who have had similar problems but they, like myself, can't seem to find any answers anywhere. Help, anyone?

Hello, I want to purchase new long usb cable for connecting my UX2 to my computer. I found on internet a Cable Usb Male A Male B but it's written that the B plug isn't compatible with 2.0 USB because it's a 3.0 USB cable. So no problem with the A plug because my PC is compatible USB 3.0, but I wonder if the UX2 is also compatible USB 3.0. Moreover I have the same question with my controller M-AUDIO Keystation 69 es if anyone ever used it... Did anyone have the answer ? PS : I'm french, sorry for my english, I do my best !

So i ended up getting a UX2 POD studio for christmas, i just recently started trying to get it started up, due to my computer being on the fritz, sort of got it working and functioning without any problems so i think its safe (my computer) So back to the topic, i cannot get this to work for the life of me, and i haven't had the best expierence with line 6 products in the past. I've been scouting around trying to see what the problem is and what the solution will hopefully be. The driver won't install. line 6 monkey? won't dectect it or allow me to download/update the drivers. The liscense manager isn't detecting anything either. This was a NEW product unopened when i recieved it with the 2 discs. I registered it and need some serious advice on what to do with this. thanks for reading.

Hello! First off, I really enjoy using your products. I own a toneport ux2 that I've had since about '09 and it still works great! I've had to update drivers when I update my operating system, but other than that, I have had to do nothing as far as maintenance - I have absolutely no complaints at all. Anyway, about 5 years ago, I bought a ux2 for my mother to use with her MacBook Pro. (She is a phenomenal singer by the way...) She essentially has the same set up that I have used and enjoyed. Well, I have struggled to make it work with her computer for years now. I am finally at my wits end...! Here's the scenario... She has: MacBook Pro (MacBook Pro 8,2) with a 2 GHz Intel core i7 processor Memory is 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Running OS X 10.6.8 The toneport ux2 was purchased in late 2010, around the same time as the computer. The software that came with the unit wouldn't work with the computer for some reason. I have the same setup from '09 and it was really a plug and play situation, everything worked great and still does. Today I was finally able to locate the correct drivers to allow the ux2 to work with her computer - finally a victory! Now, the computer itself recognizes the ux2 as a viable piece of hardware, lists it in system preferences as both an option for sound input and output and lights up normally. Sound is sent through the ux2 just fine and is sent through her studio speakers that are hooked up to the back of the ux2, again in a normal fashion, just like it's supposed to. The problem comes from the gearbox software, which does not seem to recognize the ux2 hardware. I can load the gearbox software as if it was hooked up to the ux2 (which it is) and it loads fine and the screen looks right once it loads, but it still doesn't seem to be able to recognize and input signal coming from the ux2. Yes, the usb icon is blinking. All she has plugged into the ux2 is a bluebird condenser mic. But for some reason, the signal from that mic or any other mic is just not recognized or processed by the ux2. I can go into her system preferences on her MacBook Pro and select the ux2 as her input and output options - The ux2 itself is listed and recognized by the computer as viable input and output options, but no sound or input signal is recognized by the ux2 gauges or is recorded by her recording program. She is using GarageBand as her recording software, which is also what I use on my similar setup as well. I've looked online and on line6 forums to try to find people describing similar problems, which I have found a few, but most of the links in those older forums describing how to take care of the problem(s) are no longer valid or even exist at all. So...can you please help me?? I really want and need to get this working for her! My father (mom's husband obviously) has recently passed away and has devastated my mother - she needs something to help bring her life in balance again. The one constant in my mother's life has always been her music and she is depressed enough with everything else that has been going on in her life without having to stare at her non-working recording hardware that just sits on her desk, mocking her - do you know what I mean? I am trying to be the good son and take care of this situation but it just keeps fighting me. Every time I overcome one obstacle another one pops up a little further down the line, keeping her from being able to sing, record, and escape her "normal" life. I'd giver her my setup, or buy her something new but I just can't afford it right at the moment. Can you Please help me?? What do I need to do to get her going? Any help would be Greatly appreciated!! Thank you soooo much for the help and understanding...!!

Hello all! Hoping you can help me with an issue I have only been having as of late. After the recent reformat of my hard drive, and installation of the latest UX2 drivers, whenever I have my DAW (Cubase 6.5) open, it will not allow me to play any audio outside of the DAW. This has never been a problem before. For instance, if I were to compare my mix in Cubase to something on YouTube or iTunes, I would get an message saying that the sound card encountered an error. Yet everything in my DAW still plays to perfection. It is as if the sound card could only be occupied by one program at a time, however when I had Pod Farm open, it still plays that flawlessly, just nothing outside of Pod Farm or Cubase. I have Windows 7. Like I said, this had never been an issue before. Could this have something to do with settings inside of my DAW? It seems to me like it's more related to the set up of the sound card (UX2). Any comments? Questions? Answers? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have found some scaterred info on the MIDI topic, but not exactly what I want, so here it is: I wanted to use the POD XT Live as a foot controller for POD Farm/UX 2. Is it possible via MIDI? And if yes, to what extent (like, can I use the expression pedal to work with volume/wah/bender)? I have both the USB cable and a M-Audio UNO. Thanks in advance

Hello All, Wondering if someone has something to share on this topic: I am wondering if I can use my UX2 to record a guitar lesson for TrueFire. TrueFire uses their own sort of streaming player/recorder. I have a PC with Windows. I want to use my UX2 to record video (logitech webcam), guitar and their jamtrack. Can I use the Podfarm 2.5 standalone software to accomplish this? I'd really like to keep it simple. It came with Reason Limited. Will I have to use that? I did figure out how to get a mic (sm57) and the guitar working with the webcam to record the lesson. The guitar sounds are sweet! It seems like I should be able to input the backing track from an ipod into one of the line inputs instead of mic'ing my Bose speaker unit through the XLR input. I have been working hard to figure out how to accomplish this, but seems like I'm groping around a lot. Thank You so much! Jim
