  1. Hi, I have had my UX2 for about 2 weeks now, I am having an issue were It will just freeze (Including the dials). My microphone that is plugged into the UX2 stops working and I can hear nothing from my headphones (Except a buzzing sound every 1-2 secs) that are are plugged into the UX2. The way I am currently fixing this problem is by unplugging and re-plugging in my UX2 and relaunching pod farm and after a minute it is fixed, well for a little bit. This issue happens to me about 5 or so times a day and is very annoying. Could you please comment any questions you have that may help you solve this issue. Thanks, Michael
  2. The headache question that's been on my mind since early August. (Had to return a faulty unit) I bought a new setup for streaming, an AT-2035 Mic which I've seen a lot of forum posts surrounding (gulp), a cool boom arm for said mic and the UX2. Although I have seen many forum posts, none seem to answer my question and cut off prematurely due to Mic 1 not being selected. My setup: an AT-2035 is plugged via XLR lead into mic port 1, knobs are at reasonable levels. An aux cable with an adapter is plugged into the hub of my 5.1 surround system to provide audio out. Phantom power is activated and the USB is connected to the back of my PC (motherboard USB 3.0). Dials are lit up orange but I haven't set them up for any readings yet. The software is set to Mic 1 in the mixer using Noise Gate, Compressor and American Classic. (pretty sure all input volumes are up). My question finally is, why is there no audio coming through? I'm not very technical so do go in depth but talk to me like I am a child or I may not understand.
  3. I recently bought a new Mac (MacBook Pro 2016 / Mac OS Sierra) with Logic Pro X and am trying to use my UX2 (from 2012) with it. However, the audio / microphone input is not getting picked up. I've downloaded all the drivers and double-checked updated using Monkey. I also tried using different mics and mic cables, and tried both Mic inputs, and made sure everything is set up correctly in Logic and in the computer's Audio MIDI setup window. No matter what I do, the input meters on the UX2 don't move at all. This UX2 used to work perfectly on my previous Mac. What am I doing wrong? Is the UX2 incompatible with this Mac?
  4. Hello. I got a question, is it possible to set up the dB Meters on the interface seperately for Mic & Headphones?
  5. Hi, I have not used my UX2 for a while and the Gearbox software does not work any more. I run a Macbook Pro with macOS Sierra 10.12.6. Does Pod Farm replace Gearbox? Can I use Pod Farm to play backing tracks and does it have the half speed feature like Gearbox. I'm afraid I'm not very savvy about this stuff. I looked for the latest version of Gearbox and it was from back in 2010. Any help you can provide is appreciated.
  6. So I recently bought a ux2 that came with pod farm 2.5! I bought this just for my microphone because my old mic sucked. Well I have no clue how to use it to get a good sound. I change some settings and my mic just starts to become a echo and robotic voice! I was wondering if anyone know the perfect settings to get a perfect voice/sound from this program and if so what settings do you use? Thanks ~Garrett12243 (BTW My microphone is an Audio Technica at 2035)
  7. I have two Behriner truth B2031, if I put them to analog outs the sound is very low, but if I put the one to the phones the sounds good. what can be the problem?
  8. Hi, I'm currently doing some demos against a backing MIDI + click track. The backing track simulates drums, bass, keyboards, etc. I'm plugging in the UX2, and using the Farm to record guitars directly into Audacity. Recording is going well enough, the parts are getting recorded along with the backing WAV track without any latency. At the end of the day, I'll be going into a proper studio with the rest of the band for the actual recording. But is there anyway I can record a simultaneous dry/DI sig track in too? I was thinking of saving some hours/money on recording the guitars. That, and also it's probably less stressful to take my time recording my parts at home as opposed to being under the clock. The engineer said it was possible since we're playing along with a click. He needs both the DI signal and the wet recording. Am I able to get the DI sig if I'm just using a UX2 direct into the PC? Is Pod Farm able to output 2 signals simultaneously, and is Audacity able to record them individually on separate tracks? Or do I need some other equipment or a different recording app? Thanks
  9. Hi, Had to get a faster computer, bought one with Windows 8. Installed latest Pod Farm (2.5.6) and now I can't get hardly any of my favorite effects, amps etc. In version 2.0 I was able to get a ton of presets, apms, effects and so forth, and now it is a pretty slim selection. Even when selecting from the drop down menu to get presets, most of them fail to load. Error Code 800a002. I"ve even tried to install the tones from a backup, but I still get the same error. Is there a solution for this , or is this the new Pod Farm? CG
  10. I'm getting random pops and short distortion during playback on my UX2. Worked fine on a previous laptop, now it's hard to listen to anything as it generates short noises or sound drop outs randomly. No issue with recording - apparently this only affects the output, both on headphones and line out. I think I have tried everything I could find on this forum - went through the faq on this site, tried connecting to powered hub (normally it's connected directly to the laptop), changed power plan to high performance, connected to different USB port, turned off all other background tasks, turned off wifi, disabled onboard sound card, removed all other USB devices, changed all the ASIO settings in every possible configuration... I'm really running out of ideas here. I have seen posts on this issue - many are unresolved and whatever worked for the others have zero effect in my situation. The UX2 worked fine on my old laptop (5 year old Alienware), but that was on Windows 7. So it is probably UX2 not liking the new Dell XPS or Windows 10, but what exactly is the issue? No clue. Does anybody have any ideas different than what I have already mentioned?
  11. Hi, I am about to buy a used UX2 from Amazon and I am not sure if the software is with it or not. Can this software that lists with it (or other software) be downloaded. I am especially interested in Ableton live or recording software that comes with it or might be useful (example drum software, etc)? Thank you!
  12. Hey guys, simple question here. I have been using the UX1 forever with the Podfarm and have been beyond happy. That said, it was time for a moderately better upgrade since my UX1 finally went toast after seven years. My question is, when I add the UX2 as my new device, will I lose the custom tones/presets I made in Podfarm with the UX1? If so, is there a way to avoid this from happening? Thank you!
  13. Hey Everyone, I've been trying to get assistance out of Line 6 but it has been about as productive as asking a brick wall to sort out my drama's so I thought I'd give this a shot. Recently bought a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 7000) and for some reason whenever I open POD Farm all other audio is muted. I have the UX2 selected as the playback device and all audio plays through the device until I open POD Farm. As soon as I open the app all external audio stops and even if I hit play in iTunes or Guitar Pro there is silence. If I close POD Farm the audio cuts back in. I have looked through settings in POD Farm and can't seem to find anything. Never had this drama previously with an old crappy HP laptop. Basically just want to be able to jam to some songs whilst playing but it seems I can only have one audio source playing. I am using the Tone direct drivers and not ASIO4ALL. Have tried using ASIO4ALL but the audio doesn't come through as clear and seems like there is a higher latency. Anyone ever had this drama?
  14. Hi all, hope you can help. I'm trying to record guitar and vocals at the same time through my Toneport UX2 but seem to be unable to do this. When set to just vocals, I can record that fine, when I set to guitar that's fine, but when I use "inst & Mic 1" as the source, the recording only picks up the guitar, whether I record on stereo or mono 1 or mono 2 it's the same result. I've tried going in to Ableton, Audacity and Adobe Audition and all have given the same result. One thing I have noted is that in my hardware settings, the ASIO client reads as "none" and I'm not sure how to fix that. I've updated drivers but this hasn't changed. I'll be honest, I don't fully understand what ASIO and MME are so I may be looking at the wrong things. Thanks in advance.
  15. Hi everyone Recently I've been having problems with my POD Studio UX2. When I try to play any sound using my UX2 the needles on the front move but no sound is outputted through my speakers. I've also tried a couple of different pairs of headphones and I can't hear anything through them either. Furthermore, I can't record sound through the instrument input or the microphone input. These problems started when I plugged my bass into my bass amp which was plugged into the mains then ran the output from my bass amp into the UX2. When I did this the lights on the front of my UX2 turned off and the clip lights started blinking. Upon unplugging then replugging the lights came back on like normal but I couldn't hear anything from my speakers. The needles move when I play sound and everything software-wise and hardware-wise indicates that I should be playing sound. This would indicate to me some sort of electrical fault in the device however the lights do stay on and the needle still does move when it should be playing sound. My second guess would be that only the output jack is damaged but the device can't record instrument or microphone audio or play it. This issue did occur after trying to set up ASIO Link Pro but I have since uninstalled that program and the problem still occurs. Aside from that nothing appears to have changed software-wise. I've plugged different amps into my UX2 before and had absolutely no issue. If it's of any use the bass amp I used was a Peavey TKO 80 and I had it plugged into a standard British socket and there appears to be no damage done to the amp. I've also had a Vox AD15VT plugged into my UX2 before and there was no issue. I am using Windows 10 and I have all the latest drivers installed. Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
  16. Hello dear users, Do one of you know a proper way to unplug the Line 6 Pod Studio (UX2) from a Mac ? Because sometimes it cause a crash, and restart the computer. Thank you in advance !
  17. I've been trying to figure this out but I'm utterly lost. I've been trying to record. I have a UX2 interface and a RODE NT1A microphone, and use Audacity (I know, I know). But whenever I try to record something, it doesn't pick up the mic at all. At all, like not even very quietly. It only records loud static. I can't tell whether the problem is with the mic or the interface or the software or what. I've never used equipment like this before, so I have no idea what to do. I've played with settings in PODFarm and have gotten nowhere, only slightly quieter static.
  18. I just picked up a Audio technica at-2020 condenser microphone for recording my classical guitar. But the levels are too quiet in podfarm, I have the microphone +48v boost on, and put a clean amp on podfarm full volume, it was still way too quiet. the levels only reached up to -30db in podfarm (the input was a bit lower around -40). When i added gain it destroyed the sound quality, but i got a bit more sound. I'm not sure what to try next. I really need some help. I have a Pod ux2 podfarm 2.5 AT 2020 condenser mic mixcraft 6 I added pictures of the levels and the amp i was using for reference.
  19. Hey there! Here is the deal: Yesterday for the first time I tried recording direct input guitar using my UX2. I'm using an active guitar and the manual says specifically that in this case you need to connect your guitar to the PAD input. I did exactly that, but the resulting wave was very small and barely audible. This makes it impossible to work with, because I can't really hear if I'm playing the part correctly and I also can't see where to crop the take. I tried switching to the NORM pad and suddenly the result was perfect. I could both see and hear everything very well now. But the manual says I'm supposed to be clipping if i use an active instrument with the NORM input. But I'm not. It just works. In the attachments you'll find the snapshots of both NORM and PAD input takes. What am I doing wrong? Is my interface broken? Thanks! NORM INPUT.bmp PAD INPUT.bmp
  20. Hi, I am hoping someone can help me. I was bought a UX2 for Chrismas which I am now using as my interface when recording in to the DAW (I use reaper). Pod Farm 2 works fine as a stand alone program as in I can hear it and modify tones etc... I have managed to record the wet and dry tones into reaper but when I come to add Pod Farm as a plug in effect to the dry track I encounter problems. I can select Pod Farm 2 as the plugin and it opens the User Interface but there is no input signal showing in Pod Farm. I can hear the dry guitar signal playing back but there is no input showing on the meter in the plugin and no matter what presets I select no effect is added. Ideally I want to record dry tracks and add/tweak effects later so am eager to work out how to add these effects to a dry guitar track. What am I doing wrong? Is something routed incorrectly in either PodFarm or Reaper? Can someone help?
  21. Hello, I want to connect my minibrute synthesizer to my ux2. I am using ableton Live9, If i connect my minibrute to my laptop through usb it works as a midi controller, but I would like to fully utilize my synth by connecting it to my ux2 soundcard. Any idea, how to connect it? Thank you
  22. I have been having a myriad of problems with Pod Farm and UX2! As much as I love the products of Line 6, this is really starting to get to me, which is why I am posting here. This has been going on for quite some time, so let me explain some problems: The first time I starting noticing problems was when I (I know many people suggest not doing this, but it works anyway) was using my UX2 as a sound card, which ran fine for several months, but all of a sudden, the sound just goes out. Symptoms: Unplugging it from there and plugging back in makes the two red clipping lights begin to bounce back and forth with no response from the UX2 // I am forced to restart my computer Attempts: I have tried reinstalling all the drivers, updated Windows 10, and nothing changes. The second problem I know have is when I am recording with Cubase 8 Elements. I have Pod Farm as a VST on the DAW, but occasionally, Pod Farm decides to stop working, with the error in the tuner section saying "Failed to connect to driver streaming engine." Symptoms: No tones come from Pod Farm, no input detected, or output // I am forced to either restart my computer, or reinstall Pod Farm and all the drivers. These are the main problems I want to tackle first, but I just wish that I could fully enjoy these quality products. Please take notice of my problems and address them so that I may finally find a fix. Thanks! Setup: MSI GE70 Apache Notebook - i7 processor - 12GB of RAM - 1 HDD - Nvidia GTX 960M If you need more details, please let me know.
  23. Hi guys, I've got a problem with my PodFarm (I use it with UX2). When I've changed my GX to UX2 i was super happy beacause i had way more amps and effects there. After I've reinstalled my computer system (I'm working on Windows 8) I had some problems with installing PodFarm and with registration on Line 6. Now it's working but I have just two guitar and bass amps and few effects. What should I do to get more sounds? Please, help me.
  24. Trying to set up my UX2 with new Surface Book, Win10. Direct USB (no dock), tried both USB jacks, loaded Monkey and all drivers updated, 1/4 cable inserted and input on Instrument in mixer settings, tried multiple cables (USB and guitar) and multiple guitars. Using headphone jack (tried multiple headphones). Uninstalled all drivers and software, reloaded with no change. I was using this on my Win7 pc 2 days ago, no issues. Tried to load on new laptop, meters not moving (hardware set to show input). I purchased the PodFarm 2.59 and it's authenticated. I'm out of ideas, please help.
  25. how can I configure my DAW to use the UX2 and its ASIO driver as the audio input/output device? been trying to do it for the past 2 hours. Only thing working is that the microphone can pick up sound but I can't use it in Skype or w.e.
