  1. I just got a Powercab 112 Plus and I've been getting a crazy vibration noise, as if something in the cabinet is taking on a sympathetic vibration. It turns out it is the grille cloth over the bottom left vent vibrating. When I press the cloth it stops vibrating and the noise goes away. It's very loud and annoying. Certainly can't mike the cabinet with this going on. Has anyone else experienced this? It's really annoying and I am debating on whether to return the unit. BTW, is there a way to remove the grille? This may be the alternative way to use the Powercab, though not desirable. At least if I removed it my theory of it being the grille cloth vibrating could be validated. Thanks!
  2. I bought the whole system. 2 - L2M, 1 - L2T, 2 - L2S and the M20d. Love the versatility of going with a single speaker (L2T) for small venue or adding speakers as necessary for larger halls. Still learning the nuances and working out bugs. I wanted to explore the L2T mixing board capabilities. Up till now was just using it as a monitor at low volume, so I never heard any problems with it. So, for this test I plugged in the acoustic guitar, vocal microphone, and keyboard. At less than half volume all around (master and input gains), I am experiencing an obnoxious, annoying vibration sound. The vibration is present for many vocal notes as well as lower keyboard notes. It seems to emanate from the rear input panel. It is quite prominent and can be heard by the audience as well as from behind the speaker. To be direct and to the point - It sounds like (expletive here)!!! Anyone have this experience? It sounds like something is loose in the speaker. What troubles me is that the volume isn't near what the speaker is capable of and it sounds this bad - I can imagine turning it up at a venue..... Would be the last time they hire me! Next test will be the rest of the rig to make sure they all aren't vibrating. A bit disappointing.
  3. Hey guys, So I've recently picked up the DT50, and one of the 4x12 cabs with the Celestion V30s in it (sounds friggin killer), but lately I've noticed a slight buzz when i'm playing heavier palm muted notes, especially on the decay of the note. I've taken the back off the cabinet and tightened all the screws on the speakers and everything looks fine, but I'm still getting some of that buzz. I think its coming from the center post (that's stapled to the front of the cab, and then the back panel screws into it). I was thinking of maybe putting some poster putty (the blue stuff) around the edges and working it in there, because I'm hesitant to just glue it all up. Do any of you guys have experience with this, or have you done anything else to your 4x12 to get rid of any unwanted sounds? I've done some research, and seen a few forum posts about similar things, but I figured I'd give a shout out to the L6 community. Thanks! -Jason
  4. Hey Line 6 Too much heat on the ongoing issue with your L2t L2m L3t and L3m speakers that you deleted the post where hosts of people were complaining about the obnoxious vibration and ratte in our high end speakers. We are all looking for answers, came to what is supposed to be our way of communicating as a "Line6 community" and you removed it? WOW As of now you have finally admitted it is a problem BUT can't say what the fix is OR when we can expect it But deleting the post that everyone was following is definitely low. Even if someone had posted a bad word or two you could delete that post only. Please... I need to hear the reason for this latest move.
  5. Hi, I recently bought a line 6 spider 3 half stack, and while the amp sounds terrific, when i turn the amp up around 4 the bass strings on my guitar create excessive vibration at the back cover, and the cover seems to be on tight...I havent yet taken the cover off to check the conditions of the speakers. Its just a loud vibration and sound like the back cover is vibrating real loud. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Thanks, Beatles Steve
