  1. Dear pod xt live users is there any wah range asjustment? I want to have small range. Lets say from 25 to 55%. There is POSI indicator but when I move it pedal is still working from 0 to 100%.
  2. Hi guys, I'm looking to find a way to activate wah just pushing the switch under the exp pedal (like in Boss Gt* pedalboards). By now, the only way I found, is to set wah on one of the switch, click on it and then go back to the exp pedal: too much time wasted! Anyone knows a faster way to set it? Thanks a lot, cheers!
  3. Hi, I've had the HX Effects for a couple weeks and have already built a nice pedalboard around it and used it for some shows. I'm using a Boss EV-5 as an expression pedal in EXP-1 (currently nothing in the second, plan to use it for amp control as I expand the board and its uses) I see that in the manual the default for wah and whammy effects are an auto engage for the EXP-1 jack. If I add any wah to a preset and turn it on, the Expression pedal works it fine, but the auto engage feature doesn't work, and I'm not finding in the manual or in the menus where to turn that off or on or how to adjust this. So far I've had to use one of the six footswitches to turn off and on the wah, jump to the expression to use it, then go back to the footswitch to turn it off again. Not ideal. Since I've been able to do build presets, multifunction control assignments, snapshots, and just about everything else I've wanted to so far fairly quickly by RTFM... I like to think my reading comprehension is fair. What do I need to do to set and adjust the auto engage feature for wah pedal?
  4. Loving my HX Effects unit so much. It would be even better if I could use a toe switch expression pedal with the unit, so I could naturally turn a wah on and off with that like the real pedal. Why is this not compatible, and could it be made compatible with a future firmware update? Fingers crossed.
  5. I put a Wah (Fassel effect) block in my chain. I have the block to be controlled by EXP 1, using a Mission (EP1-L6). When I pull the Wah back to heel position, the Wah effect turns on, but as soon as I rock forward the Wah turns off? These are my settings within the block: Switch > EXP 1 Position > 0% Wait > 1000ms Midi Bypass > Off Anybody else experiencing this issue? Is this a bug with 2.50?
  6. Is it possible to use one expression pedal to control multiple effects within the same preset? Example, I have three effects that need to be controlled by my one expression pedal. Example, Wah, Delay (assigning control to feedback), and Pitch Wham. These three effects are all in one preset. How would you go about turning each one on/off? or is this not possible? Or would you need more than one expression pedal? Loving the HX!!! But having some issues with expression pedal and effects that are not assigned to a foot switch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I’ve seen a number of posts on tweaking wah settings, but nothing on setting up the wah from scratch. I would very much appreciate a step by step description of this! Thanks, Rob
  8. Does anyone know how to pull off a wah effect where you can set the filter sweep to a tempo that you can assign to the tap tempo switch?
  9. I'm considering getting an FBV MKII for my Amplifi TT. I was testing the wah by moving the Position parameter with my left hand as I strummed with my right. There was so much delay with this, that the pedal would be useless if it too reacted as slowly. What am I missing? I'm running the Amplifi app on an Amazon Fire 8HD tablet and everything else works great.
  10. When i use the Wah with auto engage function I notice a problem. I have the wah turn off at heel down position (0%) and engage at 1% The wait parameter is set at 1000ms (1 second) When I rock the footpedal back and forth, never being at heel down position for 1second, the wah still turns off every now and then. This is really annoying. Does anyone else experience this? Is there a way to avoid this? Is it a bug?
  11. I am a new user to Helix and after my first patch set up everything sounds great execpt the wah! I have set up on a footswitch for on/off but the expression pedal (which I have set up for volume) only controls volume and not the wah itself. I have messed with the many settings to no avail. I need to wah to be turn on with a footswitch and once on that mode the expression pedal controls ONLY the Wah, once I click out then expression pedal goes back to a volume control. Help anyone? Thank you!!!
  12. I just got a mission sp1. Can someone walk me through how to set it up as a wah control???

  14. Hello all, I have an MKII shortboard that I'm trying to use the expression pedal for wah. Also, I have a Mission Engineering EP1-L6 expression pedal I want to use for volume. In HD Edit the shortboard wah pedal has an FS ASSIGN of EXP TOE SWITCH and the controller is EXP-1. The Mission pedal has an FS ASSIGN of NONE and the controller is EXP-2. The Mission pedal keeps randomly disconnecting from the MKII (and HD Edit). I can plug it into the MKII and both the red wah and green volume led lights are lit indicating the mission pedal is connected, but as soon as I step on the wah the Mission pedal disconnects. It has disconnected from just rocking the wah. I made sure I saved the preset. I don't know what else it could be, I'm hoping I just have the settings wrong. Going bonkers here, any help will be greatly appreciated. Edit: I'm connecting to a POD HD PRO X. (Flash Firmware 2.62, USB FW 1.04)
  15. When I switch on the wah in a certain patch on the firehawk fx I notice that the loudness increases in comparison to the original volume. It is not possible to change the volume of the wah effect. Does anyone know how to get the same loudness with the wah pedal switched on and off?
  16. Hello all, new Helix owner here. I have been unable to make the above work properly. I am only using the onboard foot treadle here. I have both the wah and whammy set to autoengage, which works just fine for me, but the problem is, once I hit the toe switch to go from exp 1 (wah) to exp 2 (whammy), i not only get the whammy effect w/ autoengage, but also get the now unbypassed wah effect. Of course, once I switch back to exp 1 (wah w/ autoengage) I get the now un-bypassed whammy as well as the wah. Is there any way around this, or am I forced to add a 2nd, external expression pedal to make this work? The reason I'm trying to accomplish this is, I'm very much trying to make one large "Snapshot" preset work for my entire live set in a simple manner, without a lot of button pushing. Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong, or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
(Google translate) Hello people!, recently my brother bought the HD400 and this happened: Yesterday I was playing for a while and the only thing I did was change presets with the buttons up and down, later, the presets don't sound. Some of them was heard but it was because the Wah was activated. Entering other questions I fixed the calibration of the pedal, and it turns out that the pedal itself is not working. When I calibrate it, I press the foot switch and the next step I have to put it in the minimum and then at the maximum, it does not. Then when I change the preset the volume is always at a minimum, because the pedalboard is not taking the pedal operation :S Any solution? I Update the firmware, then restore the factory and then the caliber. Gracias, espero tener ayuda! Thanks!

    wah too loud

Hi guys, I need some help pls in my wah. Everytime I click the expression pedal from pod x3 live to switch to wah, it makes my tone too loud which is a bit embarrasing when playing live. Heard it can be calibrated so need guide what should be the right amount level to make it sound natural transition from normal tone to switching to wah. Many thanks.
  20. When using my Variax guitar with the digital cable with my Vetta II amp, how to I use external wah and whammy pedals? The loop does not seem to work correctly. Thanks, David McCarter
  21. Anybody have any formant wah settings they've programmed? If not, any ideas on how to get them? Maybe via 2 (or 3?) wahs, using the same pedal as a controller, in parallel, to create the necessary frequency variations to get "vowel sounds"? two frequency formant three frequency formant I am a giant fan of Line 6 products generally and the Helix specifically - it's worth more than the combined value of many of my other effects, not even including the 2 JTVs I bought to really unleash it. But I am still surprised this is such a blind spot for the folks doing the typically robust modelling work. Thanks for any help you can provide - Dan

    AutoWah patch

So I may have been hasty in thinking the Helix needs a ton of more FX blocks (forgive me if I blaspheme oh Helix members). I just finished using several blocks during the creation of a test preset for another concept. In the process I have come seriously close to the AutoWah sound on "Whiskey In Mind" by Christian Kane that the guitarist uses. I used the Autofilter then adjusted the Q & Freq Cuts. Now I have to start putting in sleepless nights thinking of how to "find" other gems in this Helix device. Amazing B) Dennis
  23. Hi! I'm trying to make some changes to default patch 1C Lee Blue. In particular, I'd like to use the pedal 1 as wah. What I noticed is that when wah effect is acitvated and pedal value is at 100%, the tone is much more brighter than the original patch, it's changed radically! Is there a way to obtain the exactly same tone of the original patch when the wah is active and the pedal value is at 100%? The wah tone should change only when the pedal value is going down from 100% to 0%. Any suggestion? Thanks!
  24. when i stomp for the wah setting now for some reason it switches to Pitch and not Auto for the wah sound. I can't seem to figure out how to make the wah sound coincide with the stomped pedal that lights up the wah light. help?
  25. In case you need to perform a pedal calibration for your Firehawk FX. Here are the steps: 1. Hold down footswitch A while powering on the unit. At startup the display will show "00" and footswitch D LED will be lit. 2. Press footswitch D to begin. The display will change to "01" and footswitch D LED will turn off. 3. Press the pedal forward firmly to toggle the pedal toe switch. The display will change to "02" and footswitch D LED will be lit. 4. Move the pedal to the heel position. 5. Press footswitch D. The display will change to "03" and footswitch D LED will be lit. 6. Move the pedal to the toe position (do not click the toe switch). 7. Press footswitch D. The display will change to "04". 8. Move the foot pedal and watch the values change on the display. Values will scroll from a min. of 0 to a max. of 99. 9. Press footswitch D to save the calibration values. The display will change to "05". 10. Power cycle the unit and your pedal is calibrated.
