  1. Hi! So, i got an frfr, Db technologies B-hype 10, as a birthday present and am using it for wet fx only with the pod go and my blackstar artist 10 AE as my dry amp (pg into fx loop). But now i would like to use the internal preamp of the blackstar as well with 4cm and still have the wet effects coming out of the frfr. Can this be done? My signal chain is: Guitar -> Guitar in (PG) -> amp out -> Blackstar fx-return and L/mono out(PG) -> Frfr Amp out is set to ”Pre cab”, the Cab-block is before the delay and reverb.
  2. I just purchased a Helix Rack, arriving some time next week. My original guitar rig was a Line 6 DT25 and Pod HD500X. I still have the DT25, which has been taking up space in storage since I sold the HD 500 and bought an Orange Rocker 32 2x10 combo (stereo amp). I got the Helix as a replacement for my pedal board. But looking at pictures of the back of the unit, I am really wondering whether it isn't time to dust off the DT25. Here is my main question: is it possible to set up a stereo configuration on the Orange Rocker using a four-cable method, and then add the DT25 using the XLR cable? I am not especially technical, and of course I do not even have the Helix yet. Has anyone provided instructions on how to do this? Is it possible to change the preamps on the DT25 using the XLR cable (the way the Pod HD500 could) using the Helix? A few years ago, I heard you could not, but recently heard rumors that a Helix update now makes that possible. My ultimate goal is to set up the Orange Rocker and the DT25 to create a three speaker stereo wet/dry/wet effect. I have never done anything like this, and would describe my technical ability as slightly above beginner. Thanks for all your help in advance.
  3. Hi everyone - So I’ve been messing around with various signal paths and am getting a very strange polyphonic cancelling when doing a wet/dry split/sum. Has anyone encountered this or can think of a solution? Path below: Block 1: Minotaur SPLIT PATH A: (Block 3) FX Loop Block (use for my analog drive stages) Path A (block 4): Chorus Path A (block 5): univibe Path B (block 2): Transistor Tape Signal Combined Again The sound is very pronounced on my high e- string. I’m not running a stereo rig, so have been faking a split path within the unit. When I rearrange into a series path, this issue goes away but then I don’t get to do a split which I really like. Have also tried rearranging the blocks and am still getting the issue. It occurs with/without the modulation effects on, but strangely goes away when the FX loop block is off. I can try to record it and post a link but not sure if anyone has seen this. I assume it has to be a phasing issue.
  4. Hoping this might help someone else. I was just having some practice fun with this little amp and modeling. I made a dual path and set up a nice dirt amp to take the path to the Aux input on the Spider Jam. Then on the other path sent another cleaner amp to take the path to the guitar input on the Spider Jam and set the model to the "green" clean amp, without playing with the SJ's amp model tone stack. In order to get both paths on the SJ to work separately I had to make sure the record setting was set to 'Mic". I had the HD500 master at 50% and the SJ master set to 50% also. The HD500's output was set to Studio Direct and the Input 1 Guitar > Input 2 Variax. Since the SJ can only record either the guitar in or mic/aux at one time I can record micing the amp with another device such as my X3 Pro, which I still have to try micing it. Has anyone else done this sort of thing yet with the Spider Jam? Just trying something different and figured I would share it, carry on. Example patch > http://line6.com/customtone/tone/2247927/
