Hi folks, I am interested in the Studio GX to run on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop. Can you tell me if aside from recording & playback in DAW, is it possible to have the amp sim software running alongside e.g. YouTube videos? A big use of my portable set up will be for practising, and this monitoring of input alongside audio playback seems to be a common limitation of smaller interfaces for Windows (.e.g iRig HD)! Thanks for any info you can give

Hi guys, So I've gone through the forums and googled til my fingers bled, but have found no one with a similar issue. I just got a HD500X in from MusiciansFriend, and the device works great... when it's not connected to my computer. However, I am wanting to set up HD500X Edit to make changes since this will obviously make my life easier. Here's the problem: I waited to plug in my usb cable until the exact times that the application instructed. I installed the newest driver 4.2.7.1 - and this seems to be where the problem is. So I get to the end of the install where it says to plug in the USB cable, but I get no device driver install popups, yet Windows makes its device recognition sound. I'm thinking..okay, maybe it's installed. I go back in to Monkey and my device shows up as (Not Connected) even though it is. So I run the install again, and again, and again, and again. Same problem. In Windows Device Manager, the device is there and Windows says that it is working properly. I dig some more and the Driver File Details list this as the driver file: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ksthunk.sys Provided by Microsoft File version 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255) Is that right? Is Windows assigning an incorrect driver to the device even though I'm telling it to install the Line 6 driver? Any help would be much appreciated, I'm totally lost on this one.

I got a Line 6 gx recently. everything seems to be hooked up correctly. The software is installed and registered. All drivers are installed. The gx is registered. Monkey shows green ticks. I have the Line 6 selected in my Windows sound system. I can hook up my headphones to the Line 6 box, and run a windows sound test, and get sound. I can connect the guitar, and start pod farm 2. When I hit the strings, I can see plenty of output on the meters. I can use the tuner in pod farm and tune the guitar. But I get absolutely no sound from the guitar. Not in the headphones, not frim the laptop speakers. Is there any additional software that need to be installed? It is a Lenovo thinkpad laptop, running windows 7 Any suggestions?

Hi guys, i'm new here, and i have a nice question.. let's start from the begin, actually i record using my pod hd500 + Scarlett 2i2 + Cubase 5 (on windows 7), i use the pod hd500 xlr out into the xlr in of my scarlett 2i2, do you think it's possible to record using the direct usb connection of the pod and the Scarlett 2i2 (which is connected to my studio monitors) to monitor everything? (usually i don't need to monitor my guitar by the audio interface cause i use the l/mono out of the pod into my amp for that, but i need to listen to the backing track!) On cubase i can do this only using the generic asio drivers but i have a very big latency, it's impossible to work in that way! I want to record using the direct usb because the signal is more clear and with high fidelity... Any ideas?? :)
