  1. I know there is a general topic for tones and what not. These really aren't tones. In fact they are a lack thereof. These is ideal for those who want to start from scratch or a basic starting point to craft their own sound, or are just too easily distracted by what you get packaged in the amp. Consider them blank canvases. Installation is simple. Just download them to your PC, If you have any tones currently loaded into your Amp, be sure to back them up. And then click "restore," and load the downloaded svl6a file. This will wipe everything saved on your amp, so be sure to back up your tones or banks if you wish to use them later. After you do this, the only way to recover will be to restore a backed up bank, or reset the Spider V back to factory settings, which will restore the factory tones only. I will be adding variations to this idea as time goes on. Here I've taken the liberty of replacing all the tones with the default settings for the USER tones. Basically it's an empty tone bank as the name implies. Spider V Blank Tone Bank.svl6a On this one I've basically emptied out the tone bank and placed all the amps in their own slots for quick navigation. I have done nothing to the settings for the amps themselves, these are the stock settings for them on the Spider V. Another nice starting point to get familiar with what is available on the Spider V. Surf through them easily, pick one and build your sound from there. Spider V Amp Starter Bank.svl6a This idea for this is basically the same as the Amp Starter, only this time we start with the Cabinets. It seemed kind of silly to just use up only 25 slots in the bank so I have included the four mic settings for each Amp. I know that for many it doesn't make much of a difference what mic you use, but they are in there for giggles. I think you need to have your cab Modeling switch to "On" in order for this to be of any use. Spider V Cab Starter Bank.svl6a
  2. Q: What is the KB37 used primarily for? A: It is a 37-key USB MIDI keyboard/control surface and TonePort USB audio interface. The KB37 will be able to send and receive MIDI CC information and process audio input and output across the USB connection to the host computer. Q: What are the knobs in the center top of the keyboard for? A: They are 4 software-assignable MIDI Continuous Control parameter knobs with 4 soft-buttons and a dedicated set of MIDI transport controls. The KB37 can control assignable MIDI parameters in most software synthesizer/samplers on the market today, along with most digital audio recording application sequencer track transport controls. Note: The KB37 does not have any of it's own onboard sounds. It is a MIDI controller that sends MIDI data to the computer and any installed MIDI software synthesizer/sound software. Q: What are the Audio Specs for the TonePort I/O section? A: Sample rate conversion at 16 and 24 bit at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz. 2 XLR inputs with mic preamps and +48V phantom power. 2 Guitar/Bass Inputs – use the Pad input for guitars and basses with high level pickup outputs, or the normal input. Dual analog VU meters (software assignable to input, record send, and output levels). Q: Can I use GearBox editing software with the KB37? A: Yes, the KB37 is a GearBox software supported TonePort family device. Reference Links: Assigning KB37 Transport Keys To Logic 7 MMC Input must be enabled in Logic 7 in order to receive MMC from the KB37. From the main application menu, open Preferences>MIDI Select the Sync tab Click the MIDI Sync Song Settings button in the bottom right; this launches the Song Settings dialog. In the section labeled "MIDI Machine Control (MMC)" check the "Listen to MMC Input" option Note that this is a per-song option. To make this option global, you must modify your template file. Open Line 6 Audio/MIDI devices. Go to the MIDI tab. Click the Settings button. Choose a preset from the presets list. For each transport control, change the "To MIDI Out" parameter to "MIDI CC", assign a MIDI CC (for this example, we'll use 20-24), and change Switch Mode to Momentary. Click the Apply button, name the preset, click the Save icon and click OK. Click OK on the next screen. Assigning KB37 Transport Keys To Sonar 6 Go to Options/MIDI Devices and choose the KB37 as the input device and choose OK. Go to Options/Controllers/Surfaces. Click the Add New Controller/Surface icon. For Controller/Surface, choose ACT MIDI Controller. Input port should be the KB37. Click OK. Go to Views/Toolbars and ensure Controllers/Surfaces is selected, then close the window. In the Controllers toolbar, click the Controllers/Surfaces Properties button that is at the right end of the Control Surfaces toolbar. Although you can choose any preset, the M-Audio Ozone is laid out closest to the KB37 layout, so use it for this example. In the Controllers tab, you'll see 8 columns, each containing 4 three-row sections, three of which should be labeled "N/A". Go to the last of those 3 rows and click the n/a label to name it Rewind. Name the next 3 N/A fields from left to right: Stop, Play and Record. There is an empty field two slots below each of the labels. When you click the empty field for each of the 4 columns you just set up, press the corresponding transport button on the KB37 and it will be learned by Sonar. Go to the Options tab and under the Buttons category, drop down the second field to choose a control label and the third field to choose the transport control. Uncheck the "Exclude this button from ACT" setting each time. Click in the Presets field to name your new preset then hit the save icon. This preset will be stored and available to use with the KB37. Control Garageband With KB37 In order to control the Transport functions in Garageband with the KB37 you will need to have version 2.0.1 of Garageband or later. The Garageband software cannot do this natively and so you will need to download add-on software that permits MIDI messages to control the play and stop buttons in Garageband. GarageRemote is one such software and is available here: http://www.muratnkonar.com/otherstuff/garageremote/ This software is from the company: murat n konar Once GarageRemote is installed and set up, start GarageRemote's Listener off by default) so that it can relay MIDI notifications to GarageBand. GarageBand responds to MIDI CC 007 and 010 for current track volume and pan, and these parameters can be assigned to the existing GarageBand MIDI preset of the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices settings. Setting Up The KB37 Transport With Cubase The KB37 has control wheels and buttons like many other Mackie or others transport cotrollers. You can get the two working together by simply going into: device setup, click on the + button, add MIDI MACHINE CONTROL SLAVE, and select the Line 6 Toneport KB37 from the menu on the right. In order to set the control on the KB37 itself you will need to go to: Line 6 Audio Midi Devices in your Control Panel and select the MIDI tab. Setting Up The KB37 To Control Reason First, ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Line 6 Monkey. Run it and verify that your TonePort KB37 is running the latest driver, firmware and flash memory. Download the latest version of GearBox application and install it to your computer. Launch the "Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices" program from the Line 6/Tools folder. Next, make sure the KB37 is the active device. Select the MIDI tab and from the drop-down list of Controller Mapping applications, select Reason (version #). You are now ready to use the KB37's transport, Sound Select and 4 assignable real-time parameter controls with Reason. Keep in mind that you will be using the default parameter control settings. If you wish to customize those, click on the "Settings" button to access the Parameter Map screen. The drop-down list titled "MIDI CC/Action" is where you can modify which device parameters are to be controlled by the available controllers on the KB37. Keep in mind that each Reason Device has it's specific parameter CC# assignment. To access those values, refer to the "MIDI Implementation Chart" located in the Documentation folder within the Reason application folder on your computer's hard drive.
  3. TonePort UX8 Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is TonePort UX8 an audio interface or software? Does it record? A: TonePort UX8 is a USB audio interface. Every TonePort audio interface works with the included GearBox modeling software as an integrated hardware/software system. The TonePort device gets audio signals into your computer and GearBox software makes everything you record sound amazing. TonePort UX8 is a unique integration of professional hardware and amp and effects modeling software. Designed with high quality electrical components and a rugged exterior, TonePort UX8 provides a wide dynamic range and an exceedingly low noise floor. The UX8, like every TonePort device, works together with the included GearBox software as an integrated hardware/software system, making everything you record sound amazing. Additionally, TonePort UX8 features Line 6's exclusive ToneDirect Monitoring, which lets you hear your GearBox-processed signal instantaneously, providing unmatched responsiveness while you record. Q: What is ToneDirect monitoring? A: ToneDirect monitoring allows you to monitor a fully processed signal with extremely low latency, regardless of the buffer size of your recording application. This means that there is an incredibly small delay between when you play a note and when you actually hear the sound from your speakers. This is unusual among audio interfaces because with other more traditional monitoring solutions, you either have to listen to processed audio with significant latency, often such that it is hard to play along with what you are recording or listen to a signal with no processing. It's uninspiring to say the least to hear completely dry electric guitar with no amp, cab, or effect processing. Q: What is GearBox? A: GearBox is the standalone software application that works with your TonePort audio interface, providing everything you need to record professional sounding tracks. GearBox contains models of vintage and modern amps, speaker cabinets, stompbox and studio effects for guitar, bass and vocals and can be applied while recording to any pair of inputs. Q: Can I apply Gearbox effects to all 8 inputs at once? A: Yes, using the Gearbox plug-in that is included with the UX8. Q: Will Gearbox be able to record at 96K? A: The UX8 driver can process audio at 96K, but Gearbox operates at 48K. Gearbox converts the 96k signal from the UX8 driver, converts it to 48k, processes it, then sends the signal to the UX8 driver, which then converts the signal to 96k. Q: Can I use TonePort UX8 without the GearBox software? A: Yes, you can use the TonePort hardware without GearBox software. Q: Can you re-amp with UX8? A: Not the same way you can with a PODxt, but you can via the GearBox Plug-In. The method for re-amping with a PODxt is pointed out in Knowledge Base document 3940. Q: What is GearBox Plug-In? A: GearBox Plug-In is a VST, AU and RTAS plug-in, providing the same models as the standalone application and additional flexibility when mixing and mastering. Q: Is the GearBox Plug-In included with TonePort UX8? A: Yes, it is. Q: Are TonePort UX8 and GearBox Intel Mac compatible? A: Yes, they are. Q: What recording software can I use with TonePort UX8? A: Every TonePort supports the ASIO standard on Windows and Core Audio on the Macintosh and should work well with any recording application that supports one of these protocols. The UX8 is designed to work with most major applications such as ProTools, Logic, Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar and Ableton Live. Q: Can I use TonePort UX8 and GearBox processing as a front end for Pro Tools? A: Yes, if your Pro Tools® hardware interface has a S/PDIF input you can run the stereo S/PDIF output of your TonePort UX8 directly into your Pro Tools hardware, complete with ToneDirectâ„¢ monitoring and GearBox processing. You can also utilize the Pro Tools compatible RTAS-format GearBox Plug-In for mixing and mastering. Q: Is RiffWorks 2 Line 6 Edition compatible with TonePort UX8? A: No, RiffWorks Line 6 and Riffworks 2 Line 6 Edition are not compatible with the UX8. However, the Standard Edition (full version) of Riffworks available for purchase through the Sonoma WireWorks website: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/. Q: Can I expand the model set of TonePort UX8 with Line 6 Model Packs? A: Yes, you can. They are available as optional Model Pack purchases from our online Store. Q: Can I transfer model packs that I purchased on another Line 6 hardware device over to my new UX8? A: Yes. Once you've purchased a model pack license key, that key remains with your user account indefinitely. You cannot, however have two or more different registered hardware devices running the same model pack simultaneously. Only one hardware device can have the model pack installed on it at any given time. Q: Do the gain controls on the front panel control the line input jacks on the back of the unit? A: The gain controls the input level of the XLR inputs, not the instrument cable inputs (as these are assuming line level and most instruments will have their own level control). Q: What do the VU meters do on TonePort UX8? A: The GearBox application allows you to assign the signal that is monitored by the VU meters to various audio sources: including input, record send, output and monitor levels. Q: How accurate are the VU meters on the UX8 in relation to the meters in the software? A: Very accurate, with the smallest of variance between Gearbox and the physical meters. Q: What will happen if my signal clips the unbalanced analog input on the UX8? A: The clipping will be a "natural clipping". The cure is to lower the incoming signal at the source. Q: How many Instruments/Mics can I record at one time? Since you are monitoring directly out of the UX8, am I going to experience any latency when recording all 8 inputs? A: 8 inputs can be recorded at any given time. Outputs 1 & 2 are monitored via ToneDirect, with the remaining outputs monitored from the hardware at near zero latency. Q: Can the phantom power from the UX8 damage my dynamic mic? A: No, it will not. Q: What is the signal to noise ratio on the analog inputs? A: The UX8 has an input signal to noise ratio of .005% THD, with a dynamic range of 111 dB. Q: What do flashing lights on the unit mean? A: The LED status indicators (Main Mute and Main Clip LEDs provide secondary functions in their ability to indicate the connection status of USB and S/PDIF) as follows: No USB connection: The main clip LEDs alternate steadily between left and right, about once every second. The USB cable may be unplugged or the UX8 driver may not be installed on your computer. No S/PDIF clock sync: The Mute LED blinks 3 times rapidly about once every second when the clock mode set to S/PDIF, and no external clock is present. Q: What are the dimensions and weight of the UX8? A: The UX8 is a standard two-unit rack space module, with dimensions of 17"w x 7"d (8" with knobs) x 3.5"h. The shipping weight is 11.6 lbs. Known Issues: An incompatibility for systems running on Intel ICH10 USB Chipsets; UX8 will hang the user's computer system. The solution for this is to use a PCI USB 2.0 interface card to connect UX8. Record buss mis-routing of UX8 in Gearbox when recording into DAW Gearbox is remembering POD Farm 1 and 2 Record send settings if PF (1 or 2) was used before Gearbox program. Workaround is to reset the Record Send settings that were made in POD Farm 1 or 2, or to reboot the computer.
  4. Good morning to the whole community. I am a happy owner of HX Stomp that I use with satisfaction as a pedal unit. Recently I entered the world of digital recording with Pro Tools HD 12 to self-produce (or at least, to try) some of my songs. Last night I tried to download the demo version of Helix Native to test it on my DAW and decide whether to buy it or not. The program recognizes it, I can load a stereo audio track and open Helix Native but what I hear is just a dry signal with no effect :( I state that I'm pretty ignorant of the audio recording so I'm probably doing something wrong. My hardware / software: - Pro Tools HD 12 64bit; - Windows 10 64 bit; - Helix Native Trial; - Focusrite 2i2 2nd; What I do is just connect my guitar to the first input of the sound card (INST) and play. Do you have any advice? What am I doing wrong? Is there any particular setting? Thank you! P.S: HX Stomp works perfectly (also as an audio interface) but Helix Native would be easier. P.P.S: sorry for my english :)
  5. This isn't a request, this is actually a solution. Mind you the performance of your PC, will determine how usable it is. I am also pretty sure that this isn't news to some of you, I just haven't found anything yet on these forums detailing that someone else has done this. I have pictured, my desktop, with both the Windows version and the Android version (in a vbox emulator) running simultaneously. If you notice, the Android version (on the right) has usb OTG access to my 240 HC, while my PC version does not. This is because it won't let me share with usb access with the PC and the Vmachine to the same bus at the same time. When I shut down the Android emulation, it gives me USB access from the PC version. What this means is that I can download tones from the cloud, using the Android app, and by saving them to my tone bank in my Spider V, I can then shut down the Android app, and then edit said tone in Windows without having to change from a tablet/phone to my PC. Directions are forthcoming...
  6. I couldn't find any other topics about this so I figured I'd make a new post. Does anyone know if there's a way to control the Firehawk FX pedal board with a Windows laptop like the iOS app does? I love the iOS app but I'd prefer it if I could make the screen bigger like my laptop's screen.
  7. Hey, I have a problem with my line 6 POD HD PRO X. I work in Reaper, when I use Line 6 it pops up to me Blue Screen (BSOD) it is terribly annoying and makes it very difficult to work. I tested this problem on: Focusrite 18i20, focusrite Solo, M - Audio ProFire 2626 and there was no problem. The problem only appears on Line 6, I do not know what is causing ... I also exchanged RAM memory but it is still the same Please, help me : c

    Windows Driver Removal

How to uninstall drivers from your Windows 7, 8, or 10 machine Note: You must have administrator privileges to uninstall a device or driver package by using Device Manager. To uninstall all drivers for Line 6 gear by using Device Manager, follow these steps: 1. Open Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager. 2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall. 3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device" and then click OK 4. When the uninstall process is complete, unplug the devices USB connection. 5. Without closing the Device Manager screen plug your USB device back in and wait to see if Windows assigns an older driver to the device. You will know if Windows finds another driver to assign if Device Manager recognizes the device If it assigns another driver, please repeat the steps. 6. You will know if another driver doesn't get assigned when Device Manager recognizes the Line 6 gear as 'Unknown Device'. 7. Once you've removed all the drivers and Windows does not recognize the device, unplug the unit once and re install the latest Line 6 driver from the website. http://line6.com/software/ 8. Plug it back in and wait for Windows to assign the newly installed driver.
  9. Word of advice for every one consider buying AMPLIFi products. Seems like the support for none Apple users is quite limited. I bought FX100 as it was advertised as compatible also with Android. When I got my unit I found out it was shipped with firmware older than v2.0 so it was not possible to use it with my Android phone. I downloaded the AMPLIFi Utility software and latest drivers form the Line 6 web site and try to update the unit. This was unsuccessful, the update failed almost immediately. I search the support and forum form the Line 6 and found out that others had same problems. There was also advises how to use the USBupdater.exe what I tried and get the same file format error. I was using Windows 7 64 bit desktop PC. Finally I was able to update the unit with a Windows 8 64 bit laptop what I was able to borrow. Well, now I noticed that there was new firmware 2.50.2 available. There was now also newer util Line 6 Updater and drivers available. Downloaded them and tried the update with catastrophic consequences. As before the update failed as before but now the FX100 won't start at all it just goes to the flashing preset pedals recovery mode. This once again seems to be the case with some other users also! I somehow believed that these issues would have been resolved already with the new software. Now I have Windows 10 64 bit OS with desktop PC. I tried almost everything. I disconnected my USB keyboard and mouse, the only USB device connected was the FX100. I used my PC remotely with linux laptop to do the update. This way the update run approx. 25% until failing. I have 2 USB 2.0 ports on front and 4 USB 2.0 ports on the back of the PC. With desktop PC's it is quite common that you have several USB ports. And it actually means that there is internal USB hub in your PC. And it does seem like the Line 6 update utils just cannot handle this kind of situation. With the laptop that I was able to do the update previously had only 2 USB ports on different size. I guess that in this case there was no internal USB hub as it would in case of several USB ports. It seems like the updater utils are just really really really poorly made software. This problem has been around for years and still this is not fixed. I have to say I am really disappointed with the Line 6 and this AMPLIFi product line. Don't have experience using them with Apple devices, but is seems like those are better supported. Unless you are Apple user or if you do not have Windows laptop with just single USB ports I would advise you to stay away from this AMPLIFi products they only cause you headache and misery. I rest my case.
  10. Hi there, I use my POD HD 500 as sound interface and it's been a few weeks I'm experiencing this issue: by no apparent reason the sound goes off and the only way I've found to fix this is to restart the computer (I tried disabling / re-enabling the POD as an audio interface, unplugging and plugging it again, both power and USB, nothing happens). If i'm listening to something in Youtube or Winamp, the player stops and can't play further, but strangely, if I'm working in Reaper (using ASIO drivers), I can still play things normally inside it. I have no clue why this is happening, it's the same Windows install for a while, although I'm guessing it's something to do with some recent Windows update maybe. Is there anybody else having this problem? My specs: POD HD 500 Windows 10 Pro x64 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 4 Gb RAM ddr3 1600 Asus m4a89td GeForce 260GTX 1Tb HD* All drivers / softwares / firmware are up-to-date in Line6 Monkey. * I have only 5Gb left in my Windows partition, need to fix this, but I don't really see how this can cause the audio problem Thanks in advance
  11. Please, Line 6, give us a Windows app for Firehawk FX control? Yeah, I'm sure this has been request before, and probably numerous times. Still, I've got to ask. I've got my old iPad 4th Gen working just fine with the Firehawk, but I opted to purchase a Microsoft Surface instead of getting an iPad Pro. I am more than happy with my decision as the Surface is far less expensive, far more powerful, and it's not an iPad. :) I only wish there was an app for the Firehawk that works natively in Windows. I've tried the Android emulators, but with little success, certainly nothing that was reliable.
  12. Hi Is there any chance of a firehawk firmware and flash update for Windows Vista? Ive already spaffed all my money on this new pedal, and cant afford a Windows 7 pc to update. This renders all the fancy android app stuff useless. Alternatively, can the firmware be updated over and android phone's bluetooth connection? Thanks
  13. Hi guys, after 3 intensive days trying to update my device I finally found the solution. I´m windows 10 (64bits) user, so I´m trying all the previous windows versions, 32 and 64 bits and the only verson that works was Windows 8 32 bits version, so I made all the Updates easily. So the problem was... I don´t have a machine with Windows 8 32 bits, so I did an installation of Oracle Virtual Machine and emulate the system (check youtube videos tutorials, it´s easy to use). After install the Oracle VM, inside Windos 8 (32bits) I was able to made ALL the updates, work like a charm! Good luck!
  14. Hi everyone Recently I've been having problems with my POD Studio UX2. When I try to play any sound using my UX2 the needles on the front move but no sound is outputted through my speakers. I've also tried a couple of different pairs of headphones and I can't hear anything through them either. Furthermore, I can't record sound through the instrument input or the microphone input. These problems started when I plugged my bass into my bass amp which was plugged into the mains then ran the output from my bass amp into the UX2. When I did this the lights on the front of my UX2 turned off and the clip lights started blinking. Upon unplugging then replugging the lights came back on like normal but I couldn't hear anything from my speakers. The needles move when I play sound and everything software-wise and hardware-wise indicates that I should be playing sound. This would indicate to me some sort of electrical fault in the device however the lights do stay on and the needle still does move when it should be playing sound. My second guess would be that only the output jack is damaged but the device can't record instrument or microphone audio or play it. This issue did occur after trying to set up ASIO Link Pro but I have since uninstalled that program and the problem still occurs. Aside from that nothing appears to have changed software-wise. I've plugged different amps into my UX2 before and had absolutely no issue. If it's of any use the bass amp I used was a Peavey TKO 80 and I had it plugged into a standard British socket and there appears to be no damage done to the amp. I've also had a Vox AD15VT plugged into my UX2 before and there was no issue. I am using Windows 10 and I have all the latest drivers installed. Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
  15. I just bought a used Line 6 POD 2.0 for my brother-in-law because he liked the convenience I have at home of just plugging my guitar into my POD and having the sound come out of my computer for learning songs from the internet or on mp3 file. My home setup is to use a regular guitar cable from the Left output of my POD 2.0, convert it into a stereo 3.5mm mini jack before my computer and plug the stereo mini plug into my computer's 3.5mm line-in jack. I have the direct/A.I.R switch on the POD set to direct mode. I use the Realtek audio card built into my motherboard and I have the line-in enabled in my computer sound settings. I'm running WIN7 and I use Audacity for any recording but mostly I use it just to have the ability to play and modify my guitar sound while it's coming out of my computer speakers. The problem is it turns out my brother's computer is a DELL All-in-one computer with WIN10, DOES NOT have a physical line in jack and only has 4 USB inputs, one speaker-out jack (in which he has installed a couple of Bose speakers) and one mini-headphone jack. "No problem" I thought - we'll convert the POD 2.0 1/4" out to a USB. I got him to purchase an Alesis Guitarlink cable that converts the regular guitar cable 1/4" to USB for supposedly plugging guitar directly into computer USB. The cable has a red LED on the USB end that lights up when it makes connection. The cable lit up as it was supposed to but nothing comes out the speakers. A look at his computer sound settings shows under the recording tab his realtek audio card and two other recording devices, "stereo mix" and the USB port. No matter which one I select as default - I can get all of them to show strong incoming signal when the guitar is strummed (bars go to max) but none of them output sound to the speakers. There is no 'line-in' listed in the recording devices tab as my own computer has. The 'properties' of each of the recording devices listed show volume level turned up and the 'listen' box checked. Very frustrating! I tried setting his POD direct/A.I.R switch to both settings and it made no difference. Music files play fine on his computer. Any ideas?

Line 6 Updater Open GL Error

In some cases, you may get an error when attempting to run Line 6 Updater for Windows saying "Open GL 2.0 not supported" This is due to an incompatibility with the graphics protocol in the Updater and your graphics card. You'll need to update your graphics card to the latest drivers from their manufacturer that support Open GL 2.0 In more rare cases, some graphics cards cannot be updated to be compatible due to their age and another computer must be used.
  17. Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if it is safe to upgrade to windows 10 and my X3 will work; I've read of people having trouble with W10 so, to this day, have all those problems been fixed? by the way, do I need to uninstall everything from line 6, upgrade and then install again the proper drivers and all? thank you! pod x3's still an awesome tool!
  18. Hello guys. I do not use USB recording so often, but when I tried yesterday Everything hooked up perfectly and Windows 7 recognized everything. All set! I used the software Audacity, whiuch is very simple to use just to be able to 'hear' the sound coming from Helix. But there was the problem: If I pickd a string, I didnot hear it immediately ... just about 0.5sec later, which is really disturbing! Anyway, anyone here had similar issue? Any tip is highly welcome! 19. I've been using Reaper for years on a Mac without much of a problem. However, recently I switched over to a PC and I'm having trouble getting my POD HD500x's output to come through the computer built in output. It was very easy on a Mac, but I'm having trouble making it happen on WIndows 10. I don't want the audio to output to the POD, I want to hear it through the speakers.
  20. So, anyone who has been following the development of Windows 10 (which is mere weeks away from release) would know that Microsoft has developed special tools for an effortless way for developers to "port" Android/iOS apps to Windows 10 devices. I know there were no plans earlier to release Amplifi Remote for Windows, either for mobile or desktop. But now, with Windows 10 making it so easy to just use the existing code (from the above link - "Candy Crush Saga as it exists today on Windows Phone has been converted from iOS code using Microsoft’s tools without many modifications."), should the Windows Phone and PC users among us have some hope for a release? Hey, you guys did it for Apple Watch. :) Unless I've understood wrong, since apps are almost "universal" in Win10, a mobile app AND a PC software can be made by basically re-using your existing code. I'm just trying to repeatedly point out that this will take little effort, and will have HUGE advantages, both for your users and your company. ;)
  21. Hi! I am currently using the Line 6 UX2 connected to my computer. I have the audio Technica AT2035 connected to my UX2. In the pod farm interface I get the sound and the waves are showing. But when I am trying to record with UX2 I get no sound. When I try to choose the ux2 in windows (recording, not playback devices) I get no sound. I can't here my microphone in my recordings.

So I upgraded all the drivers through monkey and I've now got mixcraft 7 incase it was a problem their end, but I'm still getting the same issue, I get sound from my GX but it's not allowing me to record into mixcraft 7.. any ideas? Thanks in advance :)
  23. Hello... Really at my wits end here. Been using my amplifi 75 for a year now and its been great. Just found out about the new firmware updates which enables amplifi devices to act as an usb interface. I'm on windows 10 64-bit so i had to install the line 6 driver 2 files. However, after downloading the files and launching ableton live 9, amplifi wasn't detected. I checked device manager and confirmed it was using the v1.76 drivers and did a factory reset after the update, still catch no ball... Anybody have any clue how to solve this?
  24. Hey all. My Pod Farm was crashing on start-up after I switched to Windows 10, turns out you just need to switch it to Windows 8 compatibility mode for it to work! :) Right click Pod Farm app > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" > Select Windows 8 in drop down menu. Enjoy!
  25. Hi. I recently bought my first Pod – a used XT off eBay. Aside from a slightly dodgy screen, where some of the text doesn’t show through, I am loving it, especially creating tones similar to artists. I read about CustomTone which sounds perfect but I cannot seem to download the Line 6 Edit software that it apparently needs to get the patches onto the Pod XT. Does anyone know how to find this (on the L6 website you just get a message saying that it’s not available). I downloaded L6 Monkey and should be up to date driver-wise. I also downloaded Pod Farm 2 to see whether that would work but I cannot hear my guitar and none of the tones load up (you get a kind of error message). Regarding the sound of the guitar that could be because there is some sort of issue with Windows 10 and the Pod XT/Pod Farm. Does anyone know when/whether this will be fixed? So in short –how can I download tones from CustomTone onto the XT if L6 Edit no longer exists? And should I abandon Pod Farm for now (I was using the trial version)? I tried to record on Audacity which worked until I downloaded Pod Farm and now the guitar now longer comes through. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
