  1. Some users have reported a Windows error message that appears when attempting to launch the POD Go Edit software. This is not an error with the POD Go software itself, but rather a Windows error. Here is a video outlining the process for resolving the error: Here are the links for the Visual C++ libraries mentioned in the video: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86 or x64 edition: 32 bit: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555 64 bit: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632
  2. Hello Line6 Team, I am currently writing an open source software (LGPLv2) to use the podhd 500x under Linux in a similar manner as "POD HD 500X edit". Would it be possible to have the protocol data sheet to complete my implementation? I am currently supporting basic features, i.e. reading and writing pedals settings, but I am lacking some understanding of the whole protocol. Thanks in advance, Aurryon The code https://github.com/StarAurryon/lpedit Note: Protocol reverse engineering is perfectly legal if we listen to the usb port, which is what I am doing. As a EU citizen I would also be allowed to reverse the assembly in the name of interoperability: which I am not doing now as it is harder
  3. I would like to know if there is a remote app that I can use to edit tones on my Spider V 240HC head for windows 10 OS. I used to have an older remote app that worked, however it recently stopped working. I have it for my iphone however it would make more sense to have it on my PC so I can edit tones while I record.
  4. I downloaded the software to my surface but it won't launch. I troubleshooted everything on my surface, all settings are correct, but still won't open the app. It says side by side configuation is incorrect. Curious thing is when I first installed the program, it worked.
  5. Having this really bad experience recording with the pod hd 500.My focusrite broke and sent it to the shop to get it fixed.Meanwhile for a basic riff part I used the pod and duhh the recording stucks in the middle for 2-3 seconds and continues again.Happened everytime I gave it a shot.Researched thoroughly about latency of this device or buffering and couldnt find a single info. If anyone can help me with this lemme know. \m/
  6. I just got an HX Stomp, and I want to take advantage of using the Helix Native live through using my Stomp as an audio interface. Has anybody tried the minimum specs the Helix Native can run? Has anyone tried using those small PC sticks, NUC PCs for DAW, vst, and live use especially Helix Native? How was the experience? Or should I just stick with a laptop, say a 2012 Macbook Pro which can be bought refurbished for $200?
  7. Hello, bought a brand new HX Stomp. It won't connect to my pc (Windows 7 x64). Problems found: - USB Audio Device has a driver problem. - HX Stomp doesn't have a driver. Are the driver available for download somewhere? None of the software provided, in the Downloads section of Line6's webpage, are able to "see" my HX Stomp.
  8. I know there is a general topic for tones and what not. These really aren't tones. In fact they are a lack thereof. These is ideal for those who want to start from scratch or a basic starting point to craft their own sound, or are just too easily distracted by what you get packaged in the amp. Consider them blank canvases. Installation is simple. Just download them to your PC, If you have any tones currently loaded into your Amp, be sure to back them up. And then click "restore," and load the downloaded svl6a file. This will wipe everything saved on your amp, so be sure to back up your tones or banks if you wish to use them later. After you do this, the only way to recover will be to restore a backed up bank, or reset the Spider V back to factory settings, which will restore the factory tones only. I will be adding variations to this idea as time goes on. Here I've taken the liberty of replacing all the tones with the default settings for the USER tones. Basically it's an empty tone bank as the name implies. Spider V Blank Tone Bank.svl6a On this one I've basically emptied out the tone bank and placed all the amps in their own slots for quick navigation. I have done nothing to the settings for the amps themselves, these are the stock settings for them on the Spider V. Another nice starting point to get familiar with what is available on the Spider V. Surf through them easily, pick one and build your sound from there. Spider V Amp Starter Bank.svl6a This idea for this is basically the same as the Amp Starter, only this time we start with the Cabinets. It seemed kind of silly to just use up only 25 slots in the bank so I have included the four mic settings for each Amp. I know that for many it doesn't make much of a difference what mic you use, but they are in there for giggles. I think you need to have your cab Modeling switch to "On" in order for this to be of any use. Spider V Cab Starter Bank.svl6a
  9. Good morning to the whole community. I am a happy owner of HX Stomp that I use with satisfaction as a pedal unit. Recently I entered the world of digital recording with Pro Tools HD 12 to self-produce (or at least, to try) some of my songs. Last night I tried to download the demo version of Helix Native to test it on my DAW and decide whether to buy it or not. The program recognizes it, I can load a stereo audio track and open Helix Native but what I hear is just a dry signal with no effect :( I state that I'm pretty ignorant of the audio recording so I'm probably doing something wrong. My hardware / software: - Pro Tools HD 12 64bit; - Windows 10 64 bit; - Helix Native Trial; - Focusrite 2i2 2nd; What I do is just connect my guitar to the first input of the sound card (INST) and play. Do you have any advice? What am I doing wrong? Is there any particular setting? Thank you! P.S: HX Stomp works perfectly (also as an audio interface) but Helix Native would be easier. P.P.S: sorry for my english :)
  10. This isn't a request, this is actually a solution. Mind you the performance of your PC, will determine how usable it is. I am also pretty sure that this isn't news to some of you, I just haven't found anything yet on these forums detailing that someone else has done this. I have pictured, my desktop, with both the Windows version and the Android version (in a vbox emulator) running simultaneously. If you notice, the Android version (on the right) has usb OTG access to my 240 HC, while my PC version does not. This is because it won't let me share with usb access with the PC and the Vmachine to the same bus at the same time. When I shut down the Android emulation, it gives me USB access from the PC version. What this means is that I can download tones from the cloud, using the Android app, and by saving them to my tone bank in my Spider V, I can then shut down the Android app, and then edit said tone in Windows without having to change from a tablet/phone to my PC. Directions are forthcoming...
  11. Every time I plug in my Helix, i get BSOD. I followed every trouble shooting step I've seen here and when I called, support had no alternatives to give other than the conclusion that the motherboard was not able to support the device. I called ASUS and they gave me a handful of additional troubleshooting steps that were unsuccessful and it ended, after being escalated 3x, with a "Sorry, that device just isn't compatible." I can plug in all my other midi devices. We tried changing legacy USB settings in Bios. Fiddled with the drivers 900 times (uninstalling, installing one at a time etc.) mobo: ROG Strix Z370E Gaming Midi: Line 6 Helix I'm very frustrated as this issue has been going on for ~20 days and I was hoping to use my Helix as my primary source of tones while getting used to my new DAW to force myself to use it more and become more comfortable. For context, I switched to PC after being a 10ish year mac guy because editing in 4k and multitracking was becoming a nightmare on my imac pro and I have a background in IT using windows devices. Many thanks, J
  12. Hey, I have a problem with my line 6 POD HD PRO X. I work in Reaper, when I use Line 6 it pops up to me Blue Screen (BSOD) it is terribly annoying and makes it very difficult to work. I tested this problem on: Focusrite 18i20, focusrite Solo, M - Audio ProFire 2626 and there was no problem. The problem only appears on Line 6, I do not know what is causing ... I also exchanged RAM memory but it is still the same Please, help me : c
  13. A quick note that I hope might be useful to others. I bought a Helix LT this week. The driver software loaded fine onto a couple of laptops but I couldn't get it to install on my main Windows 7 PC. The Helix showed up as a device in "Devices and Printers" but was reported by WIndows as unusable and that the driver had failed to load. It appears that my copy of Windows had loaded a generic USB device driver instead of the L6 software. Anyway, after several fruitless exchanges with L6 support, I found the fix myself. You need to go to the Helix device shown in Device Manager, click on Properties, click on Driver, tell it to "Update Driver" and install the driver manually from the folder: Programs (x86)/ Line6/ Tools/ Driver2 Archive/ Helix. Windows will identify the ".inf" file in that folder as the correct driver. Click on that and you should be good to go. I suspect it's an unusual problem inasmuch as one of my laptop installs was also Win 7 and went perfectly smoothly. Nevertheless, I hope this may help someone. Now I can get back to trying to get the Helix to play nicely with my DT25.......... Andy
  14. Just now trying to get my Windows 10 PC (Surface Pro) to connect to my new (awesome!) Helix. The driver is not working. I installed version 1.87 (the latest version of the driver). I've done a fair number of installs, and eventually did a full uninstall and then reinstall, rebooting each time in between (and having the Helix not plugged in). That appears to be all the advice in the forums available. I'm using Chrome to download, so don't have the issue about driver signing -- I think. In the Windows Device Manager the Line 6 Helix driver shows with an error exclamation point icon. The error text says: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) {Bad Image} %hs is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x" I know my way around a Windows PC pretty well (worked at Microsoft for the past many, many years). Any suggestions? I'm dead in the water. Can't do any design work, download anything, update the firmware, etc... :( Thanks, David
  15. Hi Everyone, a few days ago i got the Spider V 60 amp i immediately bought a USB cable to use it with Spider V remote. Unfortunately it says No device Connected. I've tried on multiple computers. I've got the latest Drivers installed. I tried Line 6 updater as well, it doesn't show there either. Same for windows own device manager. I am at a loss and reinstalling drivers and software doesn't seem to change anything. Any suggestions?
  16. Please, Line 6, give us a Windows app for Firehawk FX control? Yeah, I'm sure this has been request before, and probably numerous times. Still, I've got to ask. I've got my old iPad 4th Gen working just fine with the Firehawk, but I opted to purchase a Microsoft Surface instead of getting an iPad Pro. I am more than happy with my decision as the Surface is far less expensive, far more powerful, and it's not an iPad. :) I only wish there was an app for the Firehawk that works natively in Windows. I've tried the Android emulators, but with little success, certainly nothing that was reliable.

Hi Is there any chance of a firehawk firmware and flash update for Windows Vista? Ive already spaffed all my money on this new pedal, and cant afford a Windows 7 pc to update. This renders all the fancy android app stuff useless. Alternatively, can the firmware be updated over and android phone's bluetooth connection? Thanks
  18. Hi there, I use my POD HD 500 as sound interface and it's been a few weeks I'm experiencing this issue: by no apparent reason the sound goes off and the only way I've found to fix this is to restart the computer (I tried disabling / re-enabling the POD as an audio interface, unplugging and plugging it again, both power and USB, nothing happens). If i'm listening to something in Youtube or Winamp, the player stops and can't play further, but strangely, if I'm working in Reaper (using ASIO drivers), I can still play things normally inside it. I have no clue why this is happening, it's the same Windows install for a while, although I'm guessing it's something to do with some recent Windows update maybe. Is there anybody else having this problem? My specs: POD HD 500 Windows 10 Pro x64 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 4 Gb RAM ddr3 1600 Asus m4a89td GeForce 260GTX 1Tb HD* All drivers / softwares / firmware are up-to-date in Line6 Monkey. * I have only 5Gb left in my Windows partition, need to fix this, but I don't really see how this can cause the audio problem Thanks in advance
  19. Hi guys, after 3 intensive days trying to update my device I finally found the solution. I´m windows 10 (64bits) user, so I´m trying all the previous windows versions, 32 and 64 bits and the only verson that works was Windows 8 32 bits version, so I made all the Updates easily. So the problem was... I don´t have a machine with Windows 8 32 bits, so I did an installation of Oracle Virtual Machine and emulate the system (check youtube videos tutorials, it´s easy to use). After install the Oracle VM, inside Windos 8 (32bits) I was able to made ALL the updates, work like a charm! Good luck!
  20. Hi everyone Recently I've been having problems with my POD Studio UX2. When I try to play any sound using my UX2 the needles on the front move but no sound is outputted through my speakers. I've also tried a couple of different pairs of headphones and I can't hear anything through them either. Furthermore, I can't record sound through the instrument input or the microphone input. These problems started when I plugged my bass into my bass amp which was plugged into the mains then ran the output from my bass amp into the UX2. When I did this the lights on the front of my UX2 turned off and the clip lights started blinking. Upon unplugging then replugging the lights came back on like normal but I couldn't hear anything from my speakers. The needles move when I play sound and everything software-wise and hardware-wise indicates that I should be playing sound. This would indicate to me some sort of electrical fault in the device however the lights do stay on and the needle still does move when it should be playing sound. My second guess would be that only the output jack is damaged but the device can't record instrument or microphone audio or play it. This issue did occur after trying to set up ASIO Link Pro but I have since uninstalled that program and the problem still occurs. Aside from that nothing appears to have changed software-wise. I've plugged different amps into my UX2 before and had absolutely no issue. If it's of any use the bass amp I used was a Peavey TKO 80 and I had it plugged into a standard British socket and there appears to be no damage done to the amp. I've also had a Vox AD15VT plugged into my UX2 before and there was no issue. I am using Windows 10 and I have all the latest drivers installed. Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
  21. I am getting constant crashes when running Cubase 9 on a brand new Windows 10 HP Pavillion laptop (Intel i7, 8GB RAM) The Line 6 is the default audio driver, I've disabled the webcam, other sound cards, tried removing anti virus software and manually gone through and updated all my drivers. The fault is mostly BAD POOL HEADER and the crash log is saying the the LINE6PODHDPROSE.sys driver is to blame. Running Cubase with the standard audio drivers is fine, running any program other than Cubase is fine. I'm not the most computer literate guy in the world, but I've searched Google and countless forums and followed all their advice and the problem is still occuring. Do Line 6 need to add an update for these drivers to stop this happening? Couple of logs for your perusal: On Fri 13/01/2017 00:25:52 your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\memory.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: l6podhdprose64.sys (L6PODHDPROSE64+0x6FBC7) Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0xFFFF860F3A663000, 0x2, 0x1, 0xFFFFF803FF46FBC7) Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\l6podhdprose64.sys product: GuitarPort company: Line 6 description: GuitarPort WDM Audio Device Driver Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: l6podhdprose64.sys (GuitarPort WDM Audio Device Driver, Line 6). Google query: Line 6 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (this was the first DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error, the rest have been bad pool headers) On Thu 12/01/2017 20:35:15 your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\011217-25937-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x14A6F0) Bugcheck code: 0x19 (0x21, 0xFFFFCB0B54460000, 0x1800, 0x27101D8527101D83) Error: BAD_POOL_HEADER file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that a pool header is corrupt. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue). The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.
  22. I just bought a used Line 6 POD 2.0 for my brother-in-law because he liked the convenience I have at home of just plugging my guitar into my POD and having the sound come out of my computer for learning songs from the internet or on mp3 file. My home setup is to use a regular guitar cable from the Left output of my POD 2.0, convert it into a stereo 3.5mm mini jack before my computer and plug the stereo mini plug into my computer's 3.5mm line-in jack. I have the direct/A.I.R switch on the POD set to direct mode. I use the Realtek audio card built into my motherboard and I have the line-in enabled in my computer sound settings. I'm running WIN7 and I use Audacity for any recording but mostly I use it just to have the ability to play and modify my guitar sound while it's coming out of my computer speakers. The problem is it turns out my brother's computer is a DELL All-in-one computer with WIN10, DOES NOT have a physical line in jack and only has 4 USB inputs, one speaker-out jack (in which he has installed a couple of Bose speakers) and one mini-headphone jack. "No problem" I thought - we'll convert the POD 2.0 1/4" out to a USB. I got him to purchase an Alesis Guitarlink cable that converts the regular guitar cable 1/4" to USB for supposedly plugging guitar directly into computer USB. The cable has a red LED on the USB end that lights up when it makes connection. The cable lit up as it was supposed to but nothing comes out the speakers. A look at his computer sound settings shows under the recording tab his realtek audio card and two other recording devices, "stereo mix" and the USB port. No matter which one I select as default - I can get all of them to show strong incoming signal when the guitar is strummed (bars go to max) but none of them output sound to the speakers. There is no 'line-in' listed in the recording devices tab as my own computer has. The 'properties' of each of the recording devices listed show volume level turned up and the 'listen' box checked. Very frustrating! I tried setting his POD direct/A.I.R switch to both settings and it made no difference. Music files play fine on his computer. Any ideas?

Line 6 Updater Open GL Error

In some cases, you may get an error when attempting to run Line 6 Updater for Windows saying "Open GL 2.0 not supported" This is due to an incompatibility with the graphics protocol in the Updater and your graphics card. You'll need to update your graphics card to the latest drivers from their manufacturer that support Open GL 2.0 In more rare cases, some graphics cards cannot be updated to be compatible due to their age and another computer must be used.
  24. Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if it is safe to upgrade to windows 10 and my X3 will work; I've read of people having trouble with W10 so, to this day, have all those problems been fixed? by the way, do I need to uninstall everything from line 6, upgrade and then install again the proper drivers and all? thank you! pod x3's still an awesome tool!
  25. Hello guys. I do not use USB recording so often, but when I tried yesterday Everything hooked up perfectly and Windows 7 recognized everything. All set! I used the software Audacity, whiuch is very simple to use just to be able to 'hear' the sound coming from Helix. But there was the problem: If I pickd a string, I didnot hear it immediately ... just about 0.5sec later, which is really disturbing! Anyway, anyone here had similar issue? Any tip is highly welcome! Cheers Leo
