Hi guys, after 3 intensive days trying to update my device I finally found the solution. I´m windows 10 (64bits) user, so I´m trying all the previous windows versions, 32 and 64 bits and the only verson that works was Windows 8 32 bits version, so I made all the Updates easily. So the problem was... I don´t have a machine with Windows 8 32 bits, so I did an installation of Oracle Virtual Machine and emulate the system (check youtube videos tutorials, it´s easy to use). After install the Oracle VM, inside Windos 8 (32bits) I was able to made ALL the updates, work like a charm! Good luck!

Hi everyone Recently I've been having problems with my POD Studio UX2. When I try to play any sound using my UX2 the needles on the front move but no sound is outputted through my speakers. I've also tried a couple of different pairs of headphones and I can't hear anything through them either. Furthermore, I can't record sound through the instrument input or the microphone input. These problems started when I plugged my bass into my bass amp which was plugged into the mains then ran the output from my bass amp into the UX2. When I did this the lights on the front of my UX2 turned off and the clip lights started blinking. Upon unplugging then replugging the lights came back on like normal but I couldn't hear anything from my speakers. The needles move when I play sound and everything software-wise and hardware-wise indicates that I should be playing sound. This would indicate to me some sort of electrical fault in the device however the lights do stay on and the needle still does move when it should be playing sound. My second guess would be that only the output jack is damaged but the device can't record instrument or microphone audio or play it. This issue did occur after trying to set up ASIO Link Pro but I have since uninstalled that program and the problem still occurs. Aside from that nothing appears to have changed software-wise. I've plugged different amps into my UX2 before and had absolutely no issue. If it's of any use the bass amp I used was a Peavey TKO 80 and I had it plugged into a standard British socket and there appears to be no damage done to the amp. I've also had a Vox AD15VT plugged into my UX2 before and there was no issue. I am using Windows 10 and I have all the latest drivers installed. Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)

I am getting constant crashes when running Cubase 9 on a brand new Windows 10 HP Pavillion laptop (Intel i7, 8GB RAM) The Line 6 is the default audio driver, I've disabled the webcam, other sound cards, tried removing anti virus software and manually gone through and updated all my drivers. The fault is mostly BAD POOL HEADER and the crash log is saying the the LINE6PODHDPROSE.sys driver is to blame. Running Cubase with the standard audio drivers is fine, running any program other than Cubase is fine. I'm not the most computer literate guy in the world, but I've searched Google and countless forums and followed all their advice and the problem is still occuring. Do Line 6 need to add an update for these drivers to stop this happening? Couple of logs for your perusal: On Fri 13/01/2017 00:25:52 your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\memory.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: l6podhdprose64.sys (L6PODHDPROSE64+0x6FBC7) Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0xFFFF860F3A663000, 0x2, 0x1, 0xFFFFF803FF46FBC7) Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\l6podhdprose64.sys product: GuitarPort company: Line 6 description: GuitarPort WDM Audio Device Driver Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: l6podhdprose64.sys (GuitarPort WDM Audio Device Driver, Line 6). Google query: Line 6 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (this was the first DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error, the rest have been bad pool headers) On Thu 12/01/2017 20:35:15 your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\011217-25937-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x14A6F0) Bugcheck code: 0x19 (0x21, 0xFFFFCB0B54460000, 0x1800, 0x27101D8527101D83) Error: BAD_POOL_HEADER file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that a pool header is corrupt. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue). The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

I just bought a used Line 6 POD 2.0 for my brother-in-law because he liked the convenience I have at home of just plugging my guitar into my POD and having the sound come out of my computer for learning songs from the internet or on mp3 file. My home setup is to use a regular guitar cable from the Left output of my POD 2.0, convert it into a stereo 3.5mm mini jack before my computer and plug the stereo mini plug into my computer's 3.5mm line-in jack. I have the direct/A.I.R switch on the POD set to direct mode. I use the Realtek audio card built into my motherboard and I have the line-in enabled in my computer sound settings. I'm running WIN7 and I use Audacity for any recording but mostly I use it just to have the ability to play and modify my guitar sound while it's coming out of my computer speakers. The problem is it turns out my brother's computer is a DELL All-in-one computer with WIN10, DOES NOT have a physical line in jack and only has 4 USB inputs, one speaker-out jack (in which he has installed a couple of Bose speakers) and one mini-headphone jack. "No problem" I thought - we'll convert the POD 2.0 1/4" out to a USB. I got him to purchase an Alesis Guitarlink cable that converts the regular guitar cable 1/4" to USB for supposedly plugging guitar directly into computer USB. The cable has a red LED on the USB end that lights up when it makes connection. The cable lit up as it was supposed to but nothing comes out the speakers. A look at his computer sound settings shows under the recording tab his realtek audio card and two other recording devices, "stereo mix" and the USB port. No matter which one I select as default - I can get all of them to show strong incoming signal when the guitar is strummed (bars go to max) but none of them output sound to the speakers. There is no 'line-in' listed in the recording devices tab as my own computer has. The 'properties' of each of the recording devices listed show volume level turned up and the 'listen' box checked. Very frustrating! I tried setting his POD direct/A.I.R switch to both settings and it made no difference. Music files play fine on his computer. Any ideas?

In some cases, you may get an error when attempting to run Line 6 Updater for Windows saying "Open GL 2.0 not supported" This is due to an incompatibility with the graphics protocol in the Updater and your graphics card. You'll need to update your graphics card to the latest drivers from their manufacturer that support Open GL 2.0 In more rare cases, some graphics cards cannot be updated to be compatible due to their age and another computer must be used.

Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if it is safe to upgrade to windows 10 and my X3 will work; I've read of people having trouble with W10 so, to this day, have all those problems been fixed? by the way, do I need to uninstall everything from line 6, upgrade and then install again the proper drivers and all? thank you! pod x3's still an awesome tool!

Hello guys. I do not use USB recording so often, but when I tried yesterday Everything hooked up perfectly and Windows 7 recognized everything. All set! I used the software Audacity, whiuch is very simple to use just to be able to 'hear' the sound coming from Helix. But there was the problem: If I pickd a string, I didnot hear it immediately ... just about 0.5sec later, which is really disturbing! Anyway, anyone here had similar issue? Any tip is highly welcome! Cheers Leo

I've been using Reaper for years on a Mac without much of a problem. However, recently I switched over to a PC and I'm having trouble getting my POD HD500x's output to come through the computer built in output. It was very easy on a Mac, but I'm having trouble making it happen on WIndows 10. I don't want the audio to output to the POD, I want to hear it through the speakers.

I couldn't find any other topics about this so I figured I'd make a new post. Does anyone know if there's a way to control the Firehawk FX pedal board with a Windows laptop like the iOS app does? I love the iOS app but I'd prefer it if I could make the screen bigger like my laptop's screen.

Word of advice for every one consider buying AMPLIFi products. Seems like the support for none Apple users is quite limited. I bought FX100 as it was advertised as compatible also with Android. When I got my unit I found out it was shipped with firmware older than v2.0 so it was not possible to use it with my Android phone. I downloaded the AMPLIFi Utility software and latest drivers form the Line 6 web site and try to update the unit. This was unsuccessful, the update failed almost immediately. I search the support and forum form the Line 6 and found out that others had same problems. There was also advises how to use the USBupdater.exe what I tried and get the same file format error. I was using Windows 7 64 bit desktop PC. Finally I was able to update the unit with a Windows 8 64 bit laptop what I was able to borrow. Well, now I noticed that there was new firmware 2.50.2 available. There was now also newer util Line 6 Updater and drivers available. Downloaded them and tried the update with catastrophic consequences. As before the update failed as before but now the FX100 won't start at all it just goes to the flashing preset pedals recovery mode. This once again seems to be the case with some other users also! I somehow believed that these issues would have been resolved already with the new software. Now I have Windows 10 64 bit OS with desktop PC. I tried almost everything. I disconnected my USB keyboard and mouse, the only USB device connected was the FX100. I used my PC remotely with linux laptop to do the update. This way the update run approx. 25% until failing. I have 2 USB 2.0 ports on front and 4 USB 2.0 ports on the back of the PC. With desktop PC's it is quite common that you have several USB ports. And it actually means that there is internal USB hub in your PC. And it does seem like the Line 6 update utils just cannot handle this kind of situation. With the laptop that I was able to do the update previously had only 2 USB ports on different size. I guess that in this case there was no internal USB hub as it would in case of several USB ports. It seems like the updater utils are just really really really poorly made software. This problem has been around for years and still this is not fixed. I have to say I am really disappointed with the Line 6 and this AMPLIFi product line. Don't have experience using them with Apple devices, but is seems like those are better supported. Unless you are Apple user or if you do not have Windows laptop with just single USB ports I would advise you to stay away from this AMPLIFi products they only cause you headache and misery. I rest my case.

Here is how to update the Firehawk 1500 step by step: Note: The versions of the drivers and software may have older versions. Make sure to always select the latest versions. For Windows 7, 8, or 10 systems, please start with step 1. For OSX 10.8 and up, skip to step 8. 1. In order for your computer to see the Firehawk 1500 you will need to install the driver for the device to your computer. Open a web browser and navigate to www.Line6.com/software and select Product: Firehawk Software: Drivers from the drop down menus at the top of the page. 2. Pick the top selection from the next page by selecting "Get Download". 3. Accept the terms. 4. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Pressing Control + J will bring up the downloads menu in most windows browsers, alt + command + L for Safari on Mac. 5.Disconnect your Firehawk from the computer if it's connected via USB and run the installer. 6. In the installer make sure the drivers from the Firehawk have a green check. Click next until the installer completes. 7. Reconnect Hardware when prompted and let Windows assign the driver. Now your computer will be able to communicate properly with the Firehawk. 8. Now, let's download the updater utility. Open your web browser, navigate back to www.Line6.com/software and select Line 6 Updater under the software drop down menu. 9. Select get download under the top selection, the latest choice will always be at the top. 10. Accept the agreement. 11. If in Windows, choose the run option and run the installer or navigate to the downloads window and run the installer. Pressing Control + J will bring up the downloads menu in most Windows browsers, alt + command + L for Safari on Mac. Or the installer will be in your downloads folder. 12. Run the installer for Line 6 updater. 13. In the installer make sure Updater has a green check, click next until the installer completes. 14. Run Line 6 updater from the start menu on WIn 7, Applications Folder on a Mac, or C:/Program Files (86)/Line 6 on Windows 8. 15. Accept the agreement. 16. Login to Updater with your username and password from the Line 6 website. 17. Select the Firehawk. 18. Select the latest version of flash memory. This is always the top selection. 19. NOTE: This part of the updater explains how to reset the Firehawk if it should fail. You can refer to the image here for instructions if that should ever happen. Click Next to Proceed. 20. Wait for the progress bar to complete. 21. Updater will let you know when the update is complete.

Hi! I am currently using the Line 6 UX2 connected to my computer. I have the audio Technica AT2035 connected to my UX2. In the pod farm interface I get the sound and the waves are showing. But when I am trying to record with UX2 I get no sound. When I try to choose the ux2 in windows (recording, not playback devices) I get no sound. I can't here my microphone in my recordings.

Hello... Really at my wits end here. Been using my amplifi 75 for a year now and its been great. Just found out about the new firmware updates which enables amplifi devices to act as an usb interface. I'm on windows 10 64-bit so i had to install the line 6 driver 2 files. However, after downloading the files and launching ableton live 9, amplifi wasn't detected. I checked device manager and confirmed it was using the v1.76 drivers and did a factory reset after the update, still catch no ball... Anybody have any clue how to solve this?

How to uninstall drivers from your Windows 7, 8, or 10 machine Note: You must have administrator privileges to uninstall a device or driver package by using Device Manager. To uninstall all drivers for Line 6 gear by using Device Manager, follow these steps: 1. Open Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager. 2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall. 3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device" and then click OK 4. When the uninstall process is complete, unplug the devices USB connection. 5. Without closing the Device Manager screen plug your USB device back in and wait to see if Windows assigns an older driver to the device. You will know if Windows finds another driver to assign if Device Manager recognizes the device If it assigns another driver, please repeat the steps. 6. You will know if another driver doesn't get assigned when Device Manager recognizes the Line 6 gear as 'Unknown Device'. 7. Once you've removed all the drivers and Windows does not recognize the device, unplug the unit once and re install the latest Line 6 driver from the website. http://line6.com/software/ 8. Plug it back in and wait for Windows to assign the newly installed driver.

I was getting sick of having to use my iPad with the Amplifi when it's sat right next to my PC, so I set about getting the Android Amplifi Remote app working in Windows 10 using a cheap Bluetooth dongle, VirtualBox 5 and the Android 4.4 x86 distro. All working well so far. The bluetooth pairing drops out occasionally, but it does that on the ipad too!

Hi. I recently bought my first Pod – a used XT off eBay. Aside from a slightly dodgy screen, where some of the text doesn’t show through, I am loving it, especially creating tones similar to artists. I read about CustomTone which sounds perfect but I cannot seem to download the Line 6 Edit software that it apparently needs to get the patches onto the Pod XT. Does anyone know how to find this (on the L6 website you just get a message saying that it’s not available). I downloaded L6 Monkey and should be up to date driver-wise. I also downloaded Pod Farm 2 to see whether that would work but I cannot hear my guitar and none of the tones load up (you get a kind of error message). Regarding the sound of the guitar that could be because there is some sort of issue with Windows 10 and the Pod XT/Pod Farm. Does anyone know when/whether this will be fixed? So in short –how can I download tones from CustomTone onto the XT if L6 Edit no longer exists? And should I abandon Pod Farm for now (I was using the trial version)? I tried to record on Audacity which worked until I downloaded Pod Farm and now the guitar now longer comes through. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, I was using my Toneport GX pretty nicely to record in Mixcraft 6 on windows 8, but I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and it didn't work.. So I upgraded all the drivers through monkey and I've now got mixcraft 7 incase it was a problem their end, but I'm still getting the same issue, I get sound from my GX but it's not allowing me to record into mixcraft 7.. any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

So bought a GX Pod (Off E-Bay) after I had already upgraded the day before. Besides the fact the Line 6 Monkey will not let me register I also get this error message in Audacity, Reaper and the included software or a variation: Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate. So any ideas on what I can do? The Line 6 does show up in the input/output, but every time I try and hit record the above shows up.... Love the tones etc but if I cannot record what's the point? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey all. My Pod Farm was crashing on start-up after I switched to Windows 10, turns out you just need to switch it to Windows 8 compatibility mode for it to work! :) Right click Pod Farm app > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" > Select Windows 8 in drop down menu. Enjoy!

has anyone else experienced blue screening when unplugging their Amplifi TT, or any other Amplifi product from their windows computer? I was recording guitar, then when I finished, I unplugged the USB from my laptop and it caused a blue screen. The worse part is I lost what I did.

So, anyone who has been following the development of Windows 10 (which is mere weeks away from release) would know that Microsoft has developed special tools for an effortless way for developers to "port" Android/iOS apps to Windows 10 devices. I know there were no plans earlier to release Amplifi Remote for Windows, either for mobile or desktop. But now, with Windows 10 making it so easy to just use the existing code (from the above link - "Candy Crush Saga as it exists today on Windows Phone has been converted from iOS code using Microsoft’s tools without many modifications."), should the Windows Phone and PC users among us have some hope for a release? Hey, you guys did it for Apple Watch. :) Unless I've understood wrong, since apps are almost "universal" in Win10, a mobile app AND a PC software can be made by basically re-using your existing code. I'm just trying to repeatedly point out that this will take little effort, and will have HUGE advantages, both for your users and your company. ;)

So the only way to use the FX is with a phone or tablet? There's no way to use windows? So if somebody doesn't have a smartphone or tablet this thing is useless? I do have an android but I would hate to have to use that rather than my computer right next to my other equipment. Thanks for any help.

I've had my POD HD500x for a few years now and used to use Reaper to record tracks, but recently got a new computer and now use Ableton. However, I get a lot of latency that I can't seem to get rid of. I use Windows 8.1, and Ableton Live Suite 9.1.2 64 bit. My POD has been updated completely. I've messed around in the preferences to no avail (I've attached a screenshot). I can't get the input buffer size to be any lower than 256. I've tried to adjust it to 128 but it just resets. I really don't know what the problem could be. Is it some 32bit/64bit issue? Is it the USB 2.0 cable into a USB 3.0 port? Any help at all would be appreciated. I don't want to go back to Reaper when now I have crazy powerful Ableton.

When attempting to update the RELAY G10 transmitter using Windows, some users have reported that the device either does not establish a connection via USB, or loses the connection during the update. It is worth noting that Windows supplies the driver for this Relay device. There are two scenarios where the Relay device is not recognized by the updater app after connecting via USB: the updater is launched before the Relay device drivers have finished installing. This may occur more often on slower computers, computers that already have several open windows or processes, or with machines that have a slower internet connection. the "Driver not successfully installed" message appears. In this case, click "Change settings" then choose "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)" in the Device Installation Settings dialogue box, then select "Save Changes". In the event the "Driver not installed" message box is not present, you can navigate to Device Installation Settings using the following steps: Click Start, type "devices and printers" in the search box, and then click Devices and Printers. Under Devices, right-click the icon for the computer, and then click Device installation settings. Choose "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)" and select "Save Changes" button. After changing this setting, remove the USB cable, then insert it again so that Windows can detect the Relay device and install the driver for it. It is possible to see the Relay device update fail shortly after it starts. This can occur if one of the Relay device drivers has not finished installing before you initiate an update. In this case, the updater will typically display that the firmware version is unknown. The workaround here is to wait until the driver completes installation, or disconnect the USB cable, reconnect it, then start the update again. Lastly, it is worth noting that some USB cables are charge-only, so a change in cables may help. Also, trying all ports and even a different computer may resolve the issue, based on various USB port configurations.

Guys first of all sorry I searched topics but none answered my doubts and I'm undecided whether I buy or not. To begin, I have a Windows phone, a desktop with Windows 8 and a Mac with Yosemite. None of these platforms gives to control the amplifier which is a bit weird but ready I'm willing to buy an android for this purpose, now I need to clarify the following doubts. 1- If I buy Mototola Moto G will be compatible with the amplifier (from what I read some say yes and others not)... 2- They are planning to release version for windows or mac? 3- How does the USB port work? I saw on youtube and everyone says it's possible to record, here in the community everyone says it isn't.. I need a little help please.
