  1. Word of advice for every one consider buying AMPLIFi products. Seems like the support for none Apple users is quite limited. I bought FX100 as it was advertised as compatible also with Android. When I got my unit I found out it was shipped with firmware older than v2.0 so it was not possible to use it with my Android phone. I downloaded the AMPLIFi Utility software and latest drivers form the Line 6 web site and try to update the unit. This was unsuccessful, the update failed almost immediately. I search the support and forum form the Line 6 and found out that others had same problems. There was also advises how to use the USBupdater.exe what I tried and get the same file format error. I was using Windows 7 64 bit desktop PC. Finally I was able to update the unit with a Windows 8 64 bit laptop what I was able to borrow. Well, now I noticed that there was new firmware 2.50.2 available. There was now also newer util Line 6 Updater and drivers available. Downloaded them and tried the update with catastrophic consequences. As before the update failed as before but now the FX100 won't start at all it just goes to the flashing preset pedals recovery mode. This once again seems to be the case with some other users also! I somehow believed that these issues would have been resolved already with the new software. Now I have Windows 10 64 bit OS with desktop PC. I tried almost everything. I disconnected my USB keyboard and mouse, the only USB device connected was the FX100. I used my PC remotely with linux laptop to do the update. This way the update run approx. 25% until failing. I have 2 USB 2.0 ports on front and 4 USB 2.0 ports on the back of the PC. With desktop PC's it is quite common that you have several USB ports. And it actually means that there is internal USB hub in your PC. And it does seem like the Line 6 update utils just cannot handle this kind of situation. With the laptop that I was able to do the update previously had only 2 USB ports on different size. I guess that in this case there was no internal USB hub as it would in case of several USB ports. It seems like the updater utils are just really really really poorly made software. This problem has been around for years and still this is not fixed. I have to say I am really disappointed with the Line 6 and this AMPLIFi product line. Don't have experience using them with Apple devices, but is seems like those are better supported. Unless you are Apple user or if you do not have Windows laptop with just single USB ports I would advise you to stay away from this AMPLIFi products they only cause you headache and misery. I rest my case.
  2. Hi there, I use my POD HD 500 as sound interface and it's been a few weeks I'm experiencing this issue: by no apparent reason the sound goes off and the only way I've found to fix this is to restart the computer (I tried disabling / re-enabling the POD as an audio interface, unplugging and plugging it again, both power and USB, nothing happens). If i'm listening to something in Youtube or Winamp, the player stops and can't play further, but strangely, if I'm working in Reaper (using ASIO drivers), I can still play things normally inside it. I have no clue why this is happening, it's the same Windows install for a while, although I'm guessing it's something to do with some recent Windows update maybe. Is there anybody else having this problem? My specs: POD HD 500 Windows 10 Pro x64 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 4 Gb RAM ddr3 1600 Asus m4a89td GeForce 260GTX 1Tb HD* All drivers / softwares / firmware are up-to-date in Line6 Monkey. * I have only 5Gb left in my Windows partition, need to fix this, but I don't really see how this can cause the audio problem Thanks in advance
  3. Hi Everyone, a few days ago i got the Spider V 60 amp i immediately bought a USB cable to use it with Spider V remote. Unfortunately it says No device Connected. I've tried on multiple computers. I've got the latest Drivers installed. I tried Line 6 updater as well, it doesn't show there either. Same for windows own device manager. I am at a loss and reinstalling drivers and software doesn't seem to change anything. Any suggestions?
  4. Please, Line 6, give us a Windows app for Firehawk FX control? Yeah, I'm sure this has been request before, and probably numerous times. Still, I've got to ask. I've got my old iPad 4th Gen working just fine with the Firehawk, but I opted to purchase a Microsoft Surface instead of getting an iPad Pro. I am more than happy with my decision as the Surface is far less expensive, far more powerful, and it's not an iPad. :) I only wish there was an app for the Firehawk that works natively in Windows. I've tried the Android emulators, but with little success, certainly nothing that was reliable.

    Windows vista

Hi Is there any chance of a firehawk firmware and flash update for Windows Vista? Ive already spaffed all my money on this new pedal, and cant afford a Windows 7 pc to update. This renders all the fancy android app stuff useless. Alternatively, can the firmware be updated over and android phone's bluetooth connection? Thanks
  6. Hi guys, after 3 intensive days trying to update my device I finally found the solution. I´m windows 10 (64bits) user, so I´m trying all the previous windows versions, 32 and 64 bits and the only verson that works was Windows 8 32 bits version, so I made all the Updates easily. So the problem was... I don´t have a machine with Windows 8 32 bits, so I did an installation of Oracle Virtual Machine and emulate the system (check youtube videos tutorials, it´s easy to use). After install the Oracle VM, inside Windos 8 (32bits) I was able to made ALL the updates, work like a charm! Good luck!
  7. Hi everyone Recently I've been having problems with my POD Studio UX2. When I try to play any sound using my UX2 the needles on the front move but no sound is outputted through my speakers. I've also tried a couple of different pairs of headphones and I can't hear anything through them either. Furthermore, I can't record sound through the instrument input or the microphone input. These problems started when I plugged my bass into my bass amp which was plugged into the mains then ran the output from my bass amp into the UX2. When I did this the lights on the front of my UX2 turned off and the clip lights started blinking. Upon unplugging then replugging the lights came back on like normal but I couldn't hear anything from my speakers. The needles move when I play sound and everything software-wise and hardware-wise indicates that I should be playing sound. This would indicate to me some sort of electrical fault in the device however the lights do stay on and the needle still does move when it should be playing sound. My second guess would be that only the output jack is damaged but the device can't record instrument or microphone audio or play it. This issue did occur after trying to set up ASIO Link Pro but I have since uninstalled that program and the problem still occurs. Aside from that nothing appears to have changed software-wise. I've plugged different amps into my UX2 before and had absolutely no issue. If it's of any use the bass amp I used was a Peavey TKO 80 and I had it plugged into a standard British socket and there appears to be no damage done to the amp. I've also had a Vox AD15VT plugged into my UX2 before and there was no issue. I am using Windows 10 and I have all the latest drivers installed. Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
  8. I just bought a used Line 6 POD 2.0 for my brother-in-law because he liked the convenience I have at home of just plugging my guitar into my POD and having the sound come out of my computer for learning songs from the internet or on mp3 file. My home setup is to use a regular guitar cable from the Left output of my POD 2.0, convert it into a stereo 3.5mm mini jack before my computer and plug the stereo mini plug into my computer's 3.5mm line-in jack. I have the direct/A.I.R switch on the POD set to direct mode. I use the Realtek audio card built into my motherboard and I have the line-in enabled in my computer sound settings. I'm running WIN7 and I use Audacity for any recording but mostly I use it just to have the ability to play and modify my guitar sound while it's coming out of my computer speakers. The problem is it turns out my brother's computer is a DELL All-in-one computer with WIN10, DOES NOT have a physical line in jack and only has 4 USB inputs, one speaker-out jack (in which he has installed a couple of Bose speakers) and one mini-headphone jack. "No problem" I thought - we'll convert the POD 2.0 1/4" out to a USB. I got him to purchase an Alesis Guitarlink cable that converts the regular guitar cable 1/4" to USB for supposedly plugging guitar directly into computer USB. The cable has a red LED on the USB end that lights up when it makes connection. The cable lit up as it was supposed to but nothing comes out the speakers. A look at his computer sound settings shows under the recording tab his realtek audio card and two other recording devices, "stereo mix" and the USB port. No matter which one I select as default - I can get all of them to show strong incoming signal when the guitar is strummed (bars go to max) but none of them output sound to the speakers. There is no 'line-in' listed in the recording devices tab as my own computer has. The 'properties' of each of the recording devices listed show volume level turned up and the 'listen' box checked. Very frustrating! I tried setting his POD direct/A.I.R switch to both settings and it made no difference. Music files play fine on his computer. Any ideas?

Line 6 Updater Open GL Error

In some cases, you may get an error when attempting to run Line 6 Updater for Windows saying "Open GL 2.0 not supported" This is due to an incompatibility with the graphics protocol in the Updater and your graphics card. You'll need to update your graphics card to the latest drivers from their manufacturer that support Open GL 2.0 In more rare cases, some graphics cards cannot be updated to be compatible due to their age and another computer must be used.
  10. Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if it is safe to upgrade to windows 10 and my X3 will work; I've read of people having trouble with W10 so, to this day, have all those problems been fixed? by the way, do I need to uninstall everything from line 6, upgrade and then install again the proper drivers and all? thank you! pod x3's still an awesome tool!
  11. Hello guys. I do not use USB recording so often, but when I tried yesterday Everything hooked up perfectly and Windows 7 recognized everything. All set! I used the software Audacity, whiuch is very simple to use just to be able to 'hear' the sound coming from Helix. But there was the problem: If I pickd a string, I didnot hear it immediately ... just about 0.5sec later, which is really disturbing! Anyway, anyone here had similar issue? Any tip is highly welcome! Cheers Leo
  12. I've been using Reaper for years on a Mac without much of a problem. However, recently I switched over to a PC and I'm having trouble getting my POD HD500x's output to come through the computer built in output. It was very easy on a Mac, but I'm having trouble making it happen on WIndows 10. I don't want the audio to output to the POD, I want to hear it through the speakers.
  13. So, anyone who has been following the development of Windows 10 (which is mere weeks away from release) would know that Microsoft has developed special tools for an effortless way for developers to "port" Android/iOS apps to Windows 10 devices. I know there were no plans earlier to release Amplifi Remote for Windows, either for mobile or desktop. But now, with Windows 10 making it so easy to just use the existing code (from the above link - "Candy Crush Saga as it exists today on Windows Phone has been converted from iOS code using Microsoft’s tools without many modifications."), should the Windows Phone and PC users among us have some hope for a release? Hey, you guys did it for Apple Watch. :) Unless I've understood wrong, since apps are almost "universal" in Win10, a mobile app AND a PC software can be made by basically re-using your existing code. I'm just trying to repeatedly point out that this will take little effort, and will have HUGE advantages, both for your users and your company. ;)
  14. Hi! I am currently using the Line 6 UX2 connected to my computer. I have the audio Technica AT2035 connected to my UX2. In the pod farm interface I get the sound and the waves are showing. But when I am trying to record with UX2 I get no sound. When I try to choose the ux2 in windows (recording, not playback devices) I get no sound. I can't here my microphone in my recordings.
  15. Hey there, I was using my Toneport GX pretty nicely to record in Mixcraft 6 on windows 8, but I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and it didn't work.. So I upgraded all the drivers through monkey and I've now got mixcraft 7 incase it was a problem their end, but I'm still getting the same issue, I get sound from my GX but it's not allowing me to record into mixcraft 7.. any ideas? Thanks in advance :)
  16. Hello... Really at my wits end here. Been using my amplifi 75 for a year now and its been great. Just found out about the new firmware updates which enables amplifi devices to act as an usb interface. I'm on windows 10 64-bit so i had to install the line 6 driver 2 files. However, after downloading the files and launching ableton live 9, amplifi wasn't detected. I checked device manager and confirmed it was using the v1.76 drivers and did a factory reset after the update, still catch no ball... Anybody have any clue how to solve this?
  17. Hey all. My Pod Farm was crashing on start-up after I switched to Windows 10, turns out you just need to switch it to Windows 8 compatibility mode for it to work! :) Right click Pod Farm app > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" > Select Windows 8 in drop down menu. Enjoy!
  18. Hi. I recently bought my first Pod – a used XT off eBay. Aside from a slightly dodgy screen, where some of the text doesn’t show through, I am loving it, especially creating tones similar to artists. I read about CustomTone which sounds perfect but I cannot seem to download the Line 6 Edit software that it apparently needs to get the patches onto the Pod XT. Does anyone know how to find this (on the L6 website you just get a message saying that it’s not available). I downloaded L6 Monkey and should be up to date driver-wise. I also downloaded Pod Farm 2 to see whether that would work but I cannot hear my guitar and none of the tones load up (you get a kind of error message). Regarding the sound of the guitar that could be because there is some sort of issue with Windows 10 and the Pod XT/Pod Farm. Does anyone know when/whether this will be fixed? So in short –how can I download tones from CustomTone onto the XT if L6 Edit no longer exists? And should I abandon Pod Farm for now (I was using the trial version)? I tried to record on Audacity which worked until I downloaded Pod Farm and now the guitar now longer comes through. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  19. So bought a GX Pod (Off E-Bay) after I had already upgraded the day before. Besides the fact the Line 6 Monkey will not let me register I also get this error message in Audacity, Reaper and the included software or a variation: Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate. So any ideas on what I can do? The Line 6 does show up in the input/output, but every time I try and hit record the above shows up.... Love the tones etc but if I cannot record what's the point? Any help would be appreciated.

    Blue Screen

has anyone else experienced blue screening when unplugging their Amplifi TT, or any other Amplifi product from their windows computer? I was recording guitar, then when I finished, I unplugged the USB from my laptop and it caused a blue screen. The worse part is I lost what I did.
  21. So the only way to use the FX is with a phone or tablet? There's no way to use windows? So if somebody doesn't have a smartphone or tablet this thing is useless? I do have an android but I would hate to have to use that rather than my computer right next to my other equipment. Thanks for any help.
  22. I've had my POD HD500x for a few years now and used to use Reaper to record tracks, but recently got a new computer and now use Ableton. However, I get a lot of latency that I can't seem to get rid of. I use Windows 8.1, and Ableton Live Suite 9.1.2 64 bit. My POD has been updated completely. I've messed around in the preferences to no avail (I've attached a screenshot). I can't get the input buffer size to be any lower than 256. I've tried to adjust it to 128 but it just resets. I really don't know what the problem could be. Is it some 32bit/64bit issue? Is it the USB 2.0 cable into a USB 3.0 port? Any help at all would be appreciated. I don't want to go back to Reaper when now I have crazy powerful Ableton.
  23. Guys first of all sorry I searched topics but none answered my doubts and I'm undecided whether I buy or not. To begin, I have a Windows phone, a desktop with Windows 8 and a Mac with Yosemite. None of these platforms gives to control the amplifier which is a bit weird but ready I'm willing to buy an android for this purpose, now I need to clarify the following doubts. 1- If I buy Mototola Moto G will be compatible with the amplifier (from what I read some say yes and others not)... 2- They are planning to release version for windows or mac? 3- How does the USB port work? I saw on youtube and everyone says it's possible to record, here in the community everyone says it isn't.. I need a little help please.
  24. Hello, I'm having a bit of a problem with my KB37, and though it may end up being more than a Windows problem than a TonePort problem, I figured I would ask here anyway. Essentially, I have been using the KB37 as an audio controller for my laptop ever since I bought the thing. The only recent change would be that I updated the driver. Since that, however, something really strange has been happening. When I use Reason to record or playback files, everything works fine. I can record into the KB37 and hear everything coming out of it. For everything other than Reason (system sounds, internet browsers, other applications), nothing works. The speaker icon in the bottom right corner (on Windows 7, by the way) has a small red circle with an "x" through it. When clicked, it automatically brings up the troubleshooting window, saying that the "audio device is disabled." Naturally, I went to the control panel, and under "playback," the KB37 has a green checkmark and seems functional. When double clicked, it says that the device is enabled, but that there is "no jack information available." Here's where it gets weird. Back in the sound panel under the "recording" tab, the internal mic is instead selected. When I check the properties of the KB37 here, it again says that no jack information is availble, but it is still enabled. However, when I click the "listen" tab in the properties window, "Listen to this device" is unchecked and playback is set to default. If I try to check the box and switch playback to the KB37, it will not let me press OK or Apply. The buttons aren't grayed out, but nothing happens when they are pressed. I have already attempted restarting the computer, unplugging the KB37 and plugging it back in, uninstalling the driver and starting from scratch, and yet nothing seems to work. I have looked at various message boards for similar problems, but every solution is different and no solutions have worked for me yet. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks so much.
