Wanted to share pictures of my Helix Rack because I haven’t seen or been able to find pictures of people sharing their’s. SKB Roto Rack 6 space deep rack Shelf Shelf Shure ULXP wireless Helix Helix Helix On the back I have a patchbay with D Series connectors. I got the rack piece from Full Discount/FDW Corp. I wish I would have gotten a 2 space rack piece with the d series connectors vertical instead, but it’s alright. I’m also hoping to wire up a PowerCon port as well, but haven’t ordered one yet. Currently I have the Control, open, Left XLR, Right XLR, Left 1/4, Right 1/4, open, strap, Mic in, Aux in. I did all the soldering and such myself using scraps of wire and ends from deinstalled sound systems. The shelf on the top is a deep rack shelf that I got from work. We pulled it out of a rack that we were putting in a church. I put it in from the back as the back of the shelf (now the front) is slotted and then I had something to strap my control down to without cutting the shelf. The opposite piece of Velcro is looped around the rack piece for the d series connectors. The wireless was one that we pulled out of a church when they bought new wireless. Minuscule repair, I had a working wireless. Someday I’ll probably upgrade to a Shure ULXD, which I will purchase through work. We install those and they have been fantastic. It’s kind of heavy and bulky, but the rack has wheels and since it’s only ~14 inches tall, I can put it vertically into the back seat of a vehicle. It is lighter than most guitar amps and can be lifted with one hand, but I wish it was lighter. I now come to gigs with my rack rolling in one hand and a guitar case in the other. Then have to make a second trip for monitors (which I’m looking to upgrade to Bose S1’s because they are light and small compared to my Mackie SRM 450s). I will probably add an octave pedal in the rack on the shelf sometime, and maybe a drive as well, but for now this is what I’m using. If you have any questions, I’ll try to answer them!

Hi everyone. I'm getting a G10 to use from my guitar to the Helix and was wondering if I could add yet another G10 to the chain. Out the Helix to the G10 and from that going wireless to the mixer. My goal is to have zero cable here and there and avoid the hassle of connecting and checking conections every rehearsal/gig. Do you guys think this: Helix > G10 > Mixer would work? I mean, with a decent audio quality? Anyone already doing this that can share experience/s? Thanks

Hey guys. New to posting, but not to reading these. This is a long one...but I've spent a lot of money on these things so I would LOVE some insight. I have an unusual situation with the XDV-75's. I have 8 of them. Doing audio for a musical that I produce. Midtown NYC. Small 80 sq foot room. 7 actors on stage at a time. 1 system for backup. Have been running RF-1 with daisy chained antenna's (4 and 4). Still getting at least 8 or so dropouts within the 75 minute show, on a good day. Sometimes one of the channels just drops out for minutes at a time. Sometimes a channel is completely red when right next to receiver. Just tried RF-2 tonight with no better luck. SO I bought the XD-AD8 antenna distributor. It's a LITTLE better, but still getting drop-outs. There isn't a WI-FI router in the room by the way. Some channels are solid for the whole show, some just aren't. 1. Is this normal, and the best I can get in Midtown Manhattan? OR should I get the p180 for a stronger signal? I am well within the 300 foot range (50 feet max from actors to receivers). Does the p-180 just give a better, stronger signal that will benefit me, even if I don't actually need the increased range? 2. Does the XD-AD8 make that much of a difference? It's 550 bucks - and I still get dropouts 3. Can I even use the p-180's WITHOUT the AD8? Will the normal xd-75 receiver power the paddle antenna, and then allow me to daisy chain it to the other 7 systems? I know I can do better things like putting mics on belts, instead of in pockets - like some of the men have them in now. Does that make a huge difference? Also, the antennas are front mounted - facing me - but the tips of them are over the rack - line of sight to actors. Thank you SO MUCH for any help - Hal

Is there a reversed G10 in the pipeline? I mean an inexpensive digital wireless in-ear system? Please make it - it would be excellent. Love my G10!

We use a Behringer XR18 mixer and BandHelper, both of which use tablets/phones & wifi extensively. Some of these are 2.4HGz units. Can anyone tell me if a G10 is likely to wipe out my 2.4 tablet (or more than that) at about 3 feet away, with the router about 20 feet away and everything else in between? I realise that the G10 won't be joining the network but that could be worse because the router can't tell it to shut up. Also, the only thing ON a network which would be streaming data would normally be the router, not some 'rogue' other device in the room. Thanks

G70 will not update. Progress bar never gets beyond 80%, sometimes it times out with an error at 0% and everything in between. "Firmware Update Failed An error has ocurred. Please try again." Done this probably 50 times, downloaded the update locally and tried updating from there. No luck, no help. Any ideas?

I really like the idea of the G10, but the problem for me is that there is no foldover physical configuration like the Guitar Bug. This is a deal breaker for an acoustic guitarist like myself, since it extends vertically from the base of the guitar, inviting an accident with the input jack. Line 6 should make a transmitter like Guitar Bug; I returned my G10 to purchase an xVive U2, which works great and has foold-over for both xmitter and receiver AND four channels, so one could purchase a second receiver and go into two amps (not that I would ever want to do that, but it is there....).... That said, as soon as L6 makes a "guitar bug" configuration for the xmitter of the G10, I will consider a purchase as a backup....

Well, since this is the second G10 Relay that I've had(I had to return the first one because it stopped charging after a couple of weeks) I'm beginning to become somewhat of an expert on the problems that this pesky (but promising) little unit is having. But first let me say, I don't think it's Line 6's problem, per se, but, rather, the manufacturer's fault (perhaps if you gave them a raise to say, 12 cents an hour, they would put more effort into your products?). Tonight I was raving about my G10 Relay to a guitarist friend of mine, but when I took it out of the charger to demonstrate it, the end cap and plastic sleeve came off!. We both tried to put it back together again because the end cap looks like it should just snap on. However, no luck. It doesn't look like it was ever glued on, but, if that's what it will take so that I don't have to return yet another one of these, that would be fine by me. Or, even better, do I really need the sleeve and end cap? I use it maybe every two weeks and only in my home studio so it's never been used in "live" situations and it's still in perfect condition (well, theoretically anyway). I've been using Line 6 products for at least a decade now and, for the most part, have been happy with them. So, all in all it was good evening--I was looking forward to doing some recording with my guitar (which I can't do now) and, I was enthusiastically extolling the praises of your wireless system, only to have it fall apart in my hands. Thanks Line 6! OK all you tireless Forum Supporters out there, I look forward to your answers or perhaps yet another RMA invoice in my email inbox. Take care everyone and, if they ever get these problems sorted out, this will be a great product (or, alternatively, I will be dead, in which case it won't matter anymore : )

Hi Guys, I apologise if this has been covered in depth. I can't seem to find any clarity on this stick model yet though. I just bought a Linksys Cisco AE2500 USB wireless dongle for my M20d. Yes, I know it's got an "A" in the model name, and the compatible dongle stated was just an E2500 - but I took a punt on buying this one, as the E2500 is almost non-existent in my country (Australia). Anyway, I plug it in to the M20d, and wait for it to initialise/be recognised, but nothing happens - the M20d just says "Status: No network adapter present". So is that it then.. give it a bin burial? I had hoped both models would be virtually identical. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are Line 6 Wireless Products Cross-compatible?
Line6Tony posted a article in General XD-V/Relay Information
All 3rd generation Line 6 digital wireless transmitters and receivers are designed to be cross-compatible with each other. For example, the six-channel Relay G30 transmitter will work on channels 1 through 6 of the XD-V75 receiver. The units in question must be on the same RF mode (RF1 or RF2). 3rd generation products include G30, G50, G55, G90 and XD-V 35, XD-V 55, XD-V 70 and XD-V 75.-

Hi, The audio light on my G50 receiver flashes from green to red when I play with louder dynamics. I do not notice a signal drop out. Is the unit peaking? The light stops turning red when I turn down the volume from my bass. However I find that my volume dial saps a bit of my top end as I turn it down. This never happened with my G30. Is there a way to resolve this? Thanks

I play bass 2-3 weekends a month in my band and have owned this unit for approx 2 years. The sound quality is very impressive and it reproduces bass very well with no noticeable frequency loss. The construction of the beltpack/transmitter lacks quality and ruins what otherwise would be a fantastic wireless system for the money. Heck, Line 6 could probably corner the market if they would just pay some extra attention to a few things. After dealing with a broken belt clip, battery door and now internal jack, I'm afraid I'm done with it. If you guys think people are just going to go spend $250+ on another Line 6 product every time the one they have breaks, think again. My advice to musicians: If you absolutely need to go wireless, save your money a little bit longer and invest in a higher quality Shure or Sennheiser.

HELP URGENT!!! I just perform an update to my line 6 g30 transmiter and receiver using xd-v75 receiver borowed from local music store. It was a line 6 xd-v75 headset unit. Update to my g30 went fine. But after the update installed, i can't start xd-v75 receiver. When i plug the power supply and switch the power button on, the screen doesn't show anything but black. The rf and battery meter in the left panel blinking red. Everything works normal before i perform update. But when i use xd-v75 on loader enabled mode to computer, it works fine. Line 6 monkey can detect the xd-v75 receiver and show that their current firmware is 2.01. Before performing update to my g30 receiver and transmitter, i check if my g30 receiver and transmitter detected in line 6 monkey. So i plug my receiver first, select g30 receiver from the list, and line 6 monkey detect it. After that i don't perform update right away, i press quit so i can check if my g30 transmitter detected in line 6 monkey. When i press quit, instead of quiting line 6 monkey right away, i saw line 6 monkey start reconfiguring xd-v75 for no reason. i saw performing mcu and other stuff. I'm not connected to the internet yet that time. I wonder is this is what causing problem with the xd-v75 receiver. What happened to that xd-v75 receiver? Will a firmware update solve it or can i solve it without firmware update (the stock firmware is 2.01)? If i update the firmware only on the receiver (update to 2.04), will it still work without problem with the transmitter (tbp12) which have an older firmware (2.01)? Honestly i feel bad with the music store. I just don't want to touch another stuff (the transmitter) because they already think that i broke the receiver, so if i touch the transmitter then they'll think that i'm gonna ruin the transmitter too. Please help me. Tomorrow i'll be back to the music store to fix this. Sorry for bad english.

Using G70/75 with other Line 6 wireless (RF Co-habitability)
Guest posted a article in Relay Wireless Products
Even with RF2/ RF3 co-habitability - that does not necessarily mean that every channel will work in the same environment. Check out this chart as to what channels are available when using our other Relay products. Note: The G70/75 will ONLY work in the same environment as current RF2 wireless systems. Those Relay systems with older firmware (v1.0) will not work in the same environment unless the G50 is updated to firmware 2.0 or better. -
I'm thinking of getting a Helix Rack when it comes out, and would like to use it with a Shure GLXD4 wireless receiver, placed on top of the Helix rack, as I already have the Shure transmitter. Would I be able to use the aux in on the back of the Helix rack as an instrument input, or would I have to have a short guitar cable coming out of the receiver to the front of the Helix. Being able to plug in behind the Helix would be a neater option. Any info would be gratefully received.

Powering the XD-V55 when using antenna splitter kit
Line6Tony posted a article in XD-V Wireless Products
If two XD-V55 receivers are connected via the antenna splitter kit and the receivers are powered on individually, the receiver that is powered on second will not initiate. The receivers must be powered on simultaneously to work. The antenna splitter kit requires the two SMA MALE to BNC MALE cables that the XD-V55 rackmount kit provides. As such, it is assumed that the receivers are rackmounted AND powered by a power strip. -
Do any of the relay systems fit underneath of a pedaltrain 3 pedalboard? I want to get either the g50 or g70 system but definitely don't have space on top of my board. If it could mount underneath somehow, that would be great. I don't want it to make contact with the ground is the only thing.

I wonder if I could trouble you for a bit of advice? I’ve got a Line 6 XD-V30 wireless mic, which I wouldn’t mind taking out busking with me. Though the mic is wireless, the receiver needs a power supply 9v – 200ma. Could I get 4x 9v batteries, wire 2 pairs in series, making them collectivly 18v, then join them together in parallel, bringing the voltage back to 9v. Is my logic correct here, can I damage the receiver and how does this effect the 200ma side of things? Cheers!

I have been experiencing connection issues in the past using the USB dongles. I have decided to scrap the USB dongles all together. I have the apple usb adapter and it works perfectly. I have both the apple airport express and a linksys router ( I have 2 M20D's, 1 for our church and one for an install I am doing). I have tested both the airport express and the linksys and I can connect to them with the ipad with no issues and its much faster than the USB. My question is, can I use this setup to connect the M20D to my existing wireless network? And if so, can you explain how to do it either router, the Apple Airport Express and a Cisco Linksys WRT110? With my install, I'd rather not have to instruct them to switch wireless networks when trying to connect to the M20D. It is being installed in a township building in their main meeting space. I'd prefer to use the Linksys in the township building and the Airport Express in our church. Any help would be appreciated! B)

I am a bass player with active and passive basses. I use multiple instruments per show. I need to replace my wireless units and I am wondering what the differences are between the G75 and the G90. I know multiple bass players with the G90 and they are very happy. I am currently using Shure ULX gear and I calibrate body packs for every show based on the basses output level. I don't want to pull the trigger on a G90 system if I should really be looking at the G75. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi, i'm considering buy a G90 with active pair antennas and would like to know the difference between them. What's the range improvement? I play guitar in very crowded places and most of cases i have a lot of people surrounding me and they are usually between receiver and transmitter.
